Stunning all inclusive hotel right on the beach. Several restaurants serve delicious food. Very large rooms with mini bar and balcony. My'n even had a Jacuzzi on the balcony. Adults only!

Very nice adult-only resort. The staff were very friendly throughout our trip. The beach was clean (seaweed removed regularly) and large, with sun and shade, but you need to get there early for a decent spot. The food was good, but served a bit too quickly at the fancier restaurants. Plus: staff, volleyball, no bracelets, no reservations.

Dream vacation - excellent food, fine sandy beach, good social program - Adults Only!

After several days on the resort I've decided to edit my review. Keep in mind my wife and I are VIP members and down to earth people.
Service: not bad, but not 5 star as a Secrets is. I don't expect much.
Drinks: no two drinks a like. No lie 20 minutes apart, same bartender, and this was the whole stay for my wife and her two friends as well. You all know what a Mia Tai is? We all had/ tried several and none were even close.
Sickness: I know it happens in certain parts of the world. My issue is that the only thing different was one drink I had. I brought this up to management and they wanted me to see the doctor, in short, I did. The major issue is they were not concerned for other guests. They offered a future room upgrade (the same one we already had) I was sick for three days and lost 8 pounds (from 208lbs). I will not be back to this resort for several reasons. I hope this helps someone decide on which resort to choose.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. Everything from arrival to departure and all in between was superb. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Entertainment team were excellent. Right in the beach, 24 hour room service, adult only, all inclusive. Met some wonderful people and will definitely return.

Great stretch of beach, huge pool, nice beach restaurant, nice service staff

Went with a group of 10 people, 9 of us got some sort of food poisoning on separate days throughout the trip despite none of us sharing any dish or meal that would link the illnesses. We talked to several other groups at the resort who had similar stories, and even heard of people transferring mid-vacation because they couldn't handle it anymore. We all drank bottled water and avoided washed fruits and veggies, so thats not it either.

If the food services ever gets fixed, it would be an amazing resort. The grounds are immaculate and the staff are all very good. Special shout out to Leo who worked the beach bar, as well as Eddie Murphy who ran events.

My wife and I were there from 3/10/18 - 3/17/18 for our Honeymoon. We had a GREAT week!! The beach, pool, the grounds and weather were awesome! and I cannot rave about the staff enough. They go over and above to make your stay special. From the maids to the landscapers to the bartenders. EVERYONE was SO happy. I wish people here were half as happy as the people there are. They are grateful for everything they have. It was wonderful to witness this.

However, I would be remiss if I didn't share the "issues" that I have with this resort.

- We booked a "Swim out Suite". The fact that they can market this as a "swim out" is comical. It was a very nice room but walking 20+ feet from your room to enter the pool (lazy river) is not a "swim out". Just search their other Resort (Secrets Cap Cana) and check out the "Swim out" suite there. Or just search any resort that offers a swim out and I bet it's not like the one we had. It was a joke that they even categorize it as that.

- All Inclusive including "premium" liquor. I guess this is all my fault. I should have had someone define "premium". Absolute as the best Vodka? Johnnie Walker Red as the best Scotch? And worse than that was the wine. We never have a bottle of wine in our house over $20; so we are far from wine snobs. Simply put, the wine they offered wasn't drinkable! But there was never a time that we went to dinner that a wine list wasn't shown to us to order "anything" we wanted (AT AN ADDITIONAL COST of course). Totally unacceptable at an ALL INCLUSIVE WITH PREMIUM liquor!

- The breakfast's and lunch's were fine. The buffet had ample food and most of it was very good. However, the dinners were below average at best. Out of the 7 nights we had dinner at 6 different restaurants and only one (the Mexican restaurant at Now Laminar), was good. The other 5 were not good. Our first night we sat to dinner (at Oceana, their seafood restaurant) and we met a couple who was there for 11 nights and this was their 7th. We asked what's your favorite restaurant so far? She said; "we were hoping tonight's would be". We laughed then, but as the week went on we realized that a below average to poor dinner was the norm.

I want to emphasize that although all this existed we made the best of it, and had a great week!! However, we would never go there again. I would have given this 3.5 stars if possible

Third time to the Dominic and Secrets did not disappoint. Clean well kept resort. Very nice rooms with timely cleaning and great air conditioning to take away any humidity. Room service was great. Great beach and pool. Bar and food available on beach with good and friendly waitron service. Restaurants and buffet were good with good service and clean. Decent outdoor nightly entertainment was very relaxing and enjoyable. Only negative was a nice but pushy sales person wanting us to attend some breakfast meeting. Called us twice in morning to see if we were coming. Not exactly sure what he was after but wanted us to bring Drivers license and credit card. No Thanks! Close to airport. Went golfing one day and shuttle service was good. Thanks for a great vacation.

Good time, feel a lot of pressure for sales and tips

Secrets and NOW resorts are on the same property. If your a preferred Secrets guest, you have access to both properties. But NOW guests can not enter over to Secrerts . Secrets is an Adult only and NOW is kid friendly.

This resort is absolutely breathtaking, the staff are very friendly and the numerous restaurants give you ample of options to choose where to dine. The grounds are kept immaculate and the beach is out of this world. I would 100% recommend this resort.

Great experience! The staff here all go out of their way to treat you like family! We stayed in a preferred club room and highly recommend this extra pampering! The beach was beautiful, awesome beach service from Anna, Marcelo was a great Butler and made sure everything was looked after for us. Every single employee at this resort was friendly, welcoming and treated us so well.

Overall a very nice experience! The staff was friendly and everything was clean. The drinks are watered down, but that is generally expected at an all inclusive. The service/food at the Oceana restaurant were subpar. It was our least favorite of the whole resort.

The best we have ever stayed in, extreme cleanliness, spotless, fresh food, recommend all the restaurants, but highlight the French and the Oceania. The staff are attentive, responsive, dear, polite, smiling, I really felt at home. They did everything to make it perfect. Room services are spotless, tidied up my bed every day, closed the blackout and still left me chocolate. Simply spectacular! I hope I have not measured words to perfection!

I have been here for 3 days now, this resort is accommodating, clean and professional. I think some of these comments complaining about rooms or staff are over indulgent. The staff is kind, attentive and always ready to help.

The food is good for an all inclusive resort. You will not get 5 star food in a mass serving setting. Drinks are the same - great for mass bar settings but maybe just good on the outside.

One suggestion would be to fix your ice. It has too much air in it and as such melts quickly watering down drinks.

This is an awesome resort. Excellent service, good restaurants and white sand beaches!

One star because no star isn't an option. My wife and I went there for our honeymoon and the entire experience was disappointing. The food is absolutely disgusting. We were promised a king bed and were given two full beds when we showed up. Management did nothing to correct the problems. Do not buy the lobster dinner. It's overcooked and tasted like charcoal.

My wife and I arrived 40 minutes before check in were told to go and get some lunch in the buffet then come back and room would be finished. Long story short we were the only people sitting in that area I put my wallet on table and left it for 10 minutes till I realized what I did. We then returned to the table and waiter said there was no wallet, as soon as we got up he said good bye and started clearing our table again we were the people eating in that section and he was the only one working that area and say no wallet found. No hotel staff seemed that concerned would not even let me talk to security I said I wanted to see cameras was told there were none. They were like maybe you are mistaken but even my wife saw me put there. They tell me nothing to worry about. Never got it back. They would not even talk to the waiter. They keep saying maybe you did not have it. Maybe there waiter is a thief and they dont care.

The best, I loved it, I was fascinated above all with the food, too good

Nice Resort plenty of food and drink, with daily activities, also available with a number of restaurants, and pool activities are close to the beach.

We are delighted, and above all very sad to have to leave this paradise.
It is truly amazing and has exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, facilities, service, quality of food, quality of drinks ...

We only have good words both for the hotel and of course for the people who make its operation possible due to their attention and availability (special mentions to Alberto and Candela from the pool bar; Julio the chef from the Sushi bar; Carlos who She attended us in different places always with a smile; at room service and nightly turndown service that gave them fantastic surprises ...).

The hotel has everything you need to have fun and forget that you are inside a resort: activities on the beach, activities in the pool, comfortable rooms with TV and more than 59 channels, the possibility of a video store (included), gym available , spa (not included) ...

But those who take the cake are the entertainment team, which each day prepared different activities and night shows. They have made us feel at home, encouraging us to participate in everything we could and creating a comfortable environment to interact with everyone. To the dancers and entertainers (special mentions to Jean, Garfield, Dark Chocolate and Spaghetti) thank you so much for making our vacation EXCELLENT.

Very well run hotel, with an excellent beach location !!

Very clean and all employees were very friendly and there was a smile and an ola every day
Our room was tip top clean and very quiet.
The only thing that had bothered something (but only a tiny bit ), that the room door, when entering or leaving the room, had always jammed a bit because the door frame was a bit warped.
The drinks, as well as the food, were of the highest quality.
Food was always freshly prepared on request and was always hot and tasted very good.
Empty or empty dishes were always immediately refilled and that until the end of breakfast, lunch and dinner.
There was never a long wait for food or drinks.
This all-in service includes food and drinks around the clock, including room service around the clock.
And by drinking I mean everything your heart desires and the selection of drinks was almost endless, almost everything from all over the world.

Our beach was cleaned daily and, of course, several times a day if necessary, as some seaweed was washed up on some days.
Our beach (private beach) was very wide, the sand was very fine and white.
The water is usually very clear and suitable for swimming.
All non-motorized watercraft such as stand up paddling, kayaks, paddle boats and we were allowed to be used free of charge and without restriction until sunset.

Since it is an adult-only hotel, from 18 and no small children, this was exactly the right thing for us.
The two neighboring hotels could be used without restriction, which was not interesting for us, because of course there were many children there.

The hotel guests were mostly from America, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, England.
There were almost no Russian guests in this hotel, three or four (luckily)

There were loungers on the beach always and at any time, more than enough.
The umbrellas at the pool were mostly occupied from 8 a.m.

We, my wife and I travel a lot and often around the world and I have to say that it was one of the most beautiful vacations
We would definitely recommend the hotel and book it again ourselves.
Secrets Royal Beach hotel really worth the trip.

The staff was outstanding. Lots of fun activities. Would stay here again. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is too many panhandlers on the beach during the day and the room needs some cosmetic maintenance done.

We booked a suite with partial sea view. Room was very nice, spacious and the most comfortable bed. Service was exceptional from staff. Restaurants and Food - although we liked the fact you didn't have to book, food was just OK. Downside for us - very noisy place, music and entertainment from mid morning, not a relaxing break.

The hotel and the staff's attention is excellent, I had the opportunity to visit the hotel in February of this year and it was fantastic, I returned this weekend that happened and the staff's attention was excellent as the first time, but there was a problem with Regarding the drink they told me that they changed the manager of the bars and because of what I saw the quality of the drink is decreasing it seems that the new manager is cutting the budget and that affects the hotel and the visitors since you buy a package and you They offer wonders and then it is the opposite, before they had different brands of cans of beer or bottles and this weekend they did not have, this hotel with the prices that it has to maintain the quality in the drink and in everything

The hotel, facilities and staff are simply outstanding! Whether it's the attention to detail (dedicated staff scouring the private beach for traces of litter, a man in the pool cleaning the walls, waiters who fill your glass the moment it's looking vaguely empty, groundsmen manucuring the excellently presented greenery), the facilities (dedicated wifi and hottub in every room, restaurants with an abundance of choice, drinks brought to the you whole you sunbathe, a stunning vista and sprawling pool) or the ambience (the staff are beyond helpful with obvious pride in the experience they create and the grounds designed beautifully) I really can't fault what has been an an amazing vacation!!

Great trip! Loved the daily and nightly entertainment. The room service was very nice!! This was my first all-inclusive. If you are going with a man, make sure he brings long pants so you can get into any restaurant in the evenings. Best part of the trip was the extremely comfortable beds and cleanliness of the entire resort!

A Super Mega Excellent experience during our week stay at Secrets Royal Beach in Punta Cana. From the time we arrived at the hotel we became part of a world of excellent service, excellent food, and a very animated and energetic entertainment team that make up the Secrets experience. By the time we left, we realized that for that one week we had become part of this wonderful family of staff members that made it their purpose to make us feel like we were indeed in paradise during our time there.

Excellent hotel and jm very good service, no shade to doubt an unforgettable holiday. Great location and extraordinary scenery. Only one other than the huge sargasso that invaded the beaches at this time of year that made it impossible to bathe the beaches along the hotels. Worth the island saona and the beach of macao. However it was a spectacular holiday.

Spectacular facilities, service and above all the treatment, super friendly

Enjoyed Punta Cana. Secrets not so much. The rooms are nice. Beach is beautiful. Pool kept clean. However they push so hard to sell you on things you don't want. They have you go to a breakfast to try and sell you future visits. They keep emphasizing how it's not a timeshare. But they don't take no for an answer. You go to the beach and yes there are people there to sell you their goods and if you say no they move on. But not the gentleman lined up down the water. They are pushing for you to go to their store down the beach. Everyday. Secrets is calling your room or knocking on your door numerous times throughout the day. Service is slow whether the bars or the food. Food is not all that. I believe they like their food cold. The only way to get it warm is to stand there while they cook it. I tried a number of different restaurants. One the food was actually raw. I couldn't eat it. A few good servers at the bars. But very few. And they say all inclusive. That tipping isn't necessary but appreciated. I had some that stood there until you tipped them. Saying I'm finished. And the language barrier is unreal. I understand it is not their fault I don't speak Spanish. But they speak numerous languages there yet English is not their best. Some can't speak or understand at all. I will be going back to Punta Cana. But not Secrets. Believe me I could go on.

Great place,food and service. Alberto, Reymond, Garfield and Angel we exceptional. Can t wait to go back!!

Nice place, good food....Everything cost$$$...large location

Weather, beach ,ocean, pools were 5 star...felt rushed at some of the restaurants, drinks and food were a 3 star..in some cases tipping in advance was required to get adequate service...serious language barrier with many of the staff..room OK..ran into attitude on more than one occasion..Luz and Marcello were great.

The roaming bartenders were awesome! Especially, Angel! He made us feel special and unique. Great stay. Will for sure come back!!

Strong 5 *. Excellent food. Nice and spacious rooms. Polite and not intrusive service. Beautiful, cleaned beach every day with full service all. I recommend - holidays 2017.

Terrible, completely over sells itself. Rooms, we had 4, the first was in the wrong first floor location, the second correct ground floor room we were moved from due to a storm but smelt heavily of damp, the third which were confined to for 24hrs had water coming through the ceiling over electrics, the fourth supposed up grade on the second floor (my partner is disabled) had trouble with noise from the bar and again damp, lifts didn't work - remember my partner is disabled, there were problems with other guests setting up sound systems on their balconys, which the staff did nothing about despite numerous complaints. The pool bar was closed early on more than one occasion due to drunk guests, including those stripping naked - this is something the hotel clearly knows about, as you are directed to sign a good behaviour agreement on arriving, which outlines a $200 fine arrangement.
Food, the highlight was removing the pictured 30cm long hair from my mouth during breakfast one morning, dishes described as for instance, pork and rice were actually pork, rice and razor sharp bone fragments in equal measure, advertised 'premium drinks' were actually the local budget stuff, food regularly arrived either cold or not as described.
Two restaurants had ceilings down due to the storm.
Safety was a joke, with workmen chainsawing trees, stripping roofs or setting fires next to guest with no safety precautions.
If you go on the beach you are constantly pestered to buy cigars, have your photo taken with some poor mistreated monkey or directed to the local 'supermarket', whether you are on the public beach or on the hotel's private part of the beach.
We used the hotel's in house excursion agent, we asked for a trip to go snorkelling stressing 'ON A QUIET BOAT', on the boat, out come the speakers, you are introduced to some local urchins claiming to be a dancer or photographer, 20 mins snorkelling and back on the boat to be taken to to a lagoon with a dozen other boats all with competing loud sound systems and cheap booze. When you complain all you get is embarrassed looks and shoulder shrugs.
We flew home early, what Trailfinders have offered us in compensation doesn't cover the days missed let alone make up for a ruined trip and birthday.
In our experience, the hotel doesn't care what you want, they just want your money.

OMG, WE HAD THE BEST TIME EVER. We are so missing we now call friends. Can't wait to return.

Treatment, comfort, good service, very nice place, exquisite food, etc ... I recommend it

Unfortunately this hotel is not excellent - as often described and due to the constant repetition of the staff on site, the hotel is not excellent either.

The hotel is a good hotel and if the price / performance ratio wasn't completely wrong, it would also be recommendable for 1300 / 14 days.

However, the reality is that the low season is asking for 2000 + and it's just not worth it.

The system looks good and is quite nicely set up. The rooms with jacuzzi also appear very classy at first glance.

In the second week, however, we disliked a lot. It is clear that Punta Cana is on the Atlantic side and that the Caribbean feeling does not come across. If you are looking for clear water, you should travel south.

The sea is cloudy, which is why I didn't see a fire jellyfish that caught my foot. In the end it could have been another animal, because I couldn't see anything in the murky water.

Now to the hotel:

The room starts to smell extremely from the second week at the latest due to the extreme humidity.

In spite of a generous tip, room service was not able to make it as clean as one would have to expect in a 5 * facility for this price.

The food does not repeat itself. It just stays the same. There isn't one thing for a week and then something else during the week, but the same thing every day.
In the buffet restaurant the main course changes every day between fish, poultry, pork and beef. There is no more variety. The selection in the buffet restaurant is rather poor for a 5 * hotel. I saw more choice in Egypt.



The Portovino Restaurant (Italian) can only convince with the pasta. Pizza is lousy.

The Japanese restaurant is promoting a cooking show that did not take place. Everyone in the hotel was disappointed with this show as it was just normal cooking as I know it at home. The local Japanese or Chinese in Germany have more shows to offer.

We didn't use the seafood restaurant.

In addition, you can use the restaurants in the neighboring hotels, but they are not great either.

The beach looks nice and has very fine sand. But that was it.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a romantic dinner, which is offered for over $ 300, as you can simply be served food without being asked. In our case it was mostly fish dishes that we didn't eat because we don't like fish.

The vendors on the beach, who are tolerated by the hotel staff and who constantly run after you, are also very annoying.

The hotel staff is sometimes very friendly, but it is said again and again that everything is excellent. Upon request, we were confirmed that this excellent one is being impounded into the staff in a martial manner.

Overall, the hotel is worth at most 4 stars and unfortunately not recommendable in terms of price. We spoke to several couples who share the same opinion and will not be staying here again for our next vacation.

This resort is a big scam. They claim top shelf booze which is only located in one are.
The food is horrible. Really bad.The swim up bar bartenders are mean rude and hide so you have issues getting a drink. The outside bars shut down by 7 so you can't drink or eat. You pay a lot to go there only to get hassled by a time share sales person. The beach is dangerous as locals hassle you to no end. I would pass on this location.

A very beautiful resort! I recommend for Punta Cana. Clean new beach furniture gorgeous. Well cared for and friendly staff.

Second time to this hotel. Beautiful setting, good variety of food available and staff are very friendly. Make sure you go to the Seaside Grill where you will have great food and great service. Made to feel very welcome by Luis, Alberto and the team.

Beautiful resort. Friendly staff. We had a group of 14 that stayed there. The foam party at the pool was a blast! I think it's on Monday's? Seaside Grille is amazing food as well as the hibachi and French restraunt. Oceana was our least favorite.

I'm currently staying here with my husband. It's the second time we have stayed here. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff are so friendly. The food is great in the buffet and the a la carte restaurants. The staff can't do enough for you. When you are sunbathing, they constantly walk round asking if you want drinks which is great as you don't need to move! There are plenty of sunbeds around the pool and lots on the beach too although there was one occasion when we didn't get a sunbed with a brolly on the beach as we left it a bit later however there were sunbeds without a brolly. The entertainment crew do a fantastic job both in the day and at night. The entertainment however can be a bit samey at night and whilst we've been here they have had a silent disco 3 times which was good the first time but not sure I'd enjoy it too often but you can use the facilities at the sister hotel which is great as you get the best of both worlds and they have a nightclub there too. I was anxious about coming for the second time after reading some of the reviews, even though I loved it here the first time we came but after being here for almost 11 nights, I can aasuas anyone in doubt that you can't fault this hotel, not in my opinion. There is a negative about the sea as there is lots of seaweed but that is not the hotels fault. I still went in the sea. It would be better if the seaweed wasn't there but it wouldn't put me off from coming here. The cleaners clean your room on a daily basis and the rooms are pretty immaculate. I envy anyone who has booked this hotel for the future. I abaabsolut love it here and would certainly again. Thank you Secrets Royal Beach for being fantastic.

My experience here was excellent, great customer service, great food, great place to relax and unwind and enjoy yourself and good company.

Hurricane Maria came through on our visit. The staff did a great job of taking care of the guests and cleaning up after the storm.

This resort was absolutely amazing, fun and the customer service was over the time. The only thing was they state they offer premium drinks but they had the usually resort drinks.

Staying here for seven days felt a bit too fast for me. I wanted more. The ocean is so warm and cozy. The hotel was really feeling like home. The staff was so amazing. When we arrived the first phrase that we heard was: "Welcome Home" and they really mean it. Each one of us there was 3 of us were in awe of how we were treated. In Secrets Royal, every person of staff is on their spot. Special Thank you goes to Alexandro Ramirez and Iliana Jorge( she was the one who as greeting us every morning with her broad smile) Also Brian was in our top faves. Thank you for everything. Surely Coming Back. Miss Secrets Royal already.

Very nice hotel clean and tidy plenty of choice at the bar and different themed restaurant we found the French restaurant the best and tried them all
