Where do I begin... let's start of with the fact that I've been home for 3 days now and am STILL sick from the food. Pretty sure I got food poisoning from the horrendous sushi at the hibachi. Besides that.. The buildings are pretty outdated for a 5 star hotel, the entertainment was terrible and if you already didn't get the impression from my sushi experience the food quality sucks as well. I'm not the biggest alcohol drinker and found workers extremely annoying trying to constantly push it on you and would give some kind of smart remark if you declined there offer of a drink. I'm not blaming the resort for this last rant as mother nature will do as she wants but the waters were just about unsmimmable due to massive amounts of seaweed. It was so bad that they were trying to remove it in truck loads. This just added to the overall bad experience.

Amazing resort with good food and great service. With this resort you have access to the two adjoining resorts' amenities...amazing! This means you have access to about 15 restaurants and no need to make reservations or restrictions. We will definitely come back here again!

Great service, food and entertainment. Easy to relax and enjoy yourself

All in all a clean resort with great tasty food. One of the relatively newer resorts. Great beach. Cleaned daily. Water was murky around Dec this year (2018). The pool was great and clean and usually open from 8am to 8pm. My only complain about this resort is that, for the most part, the quality of service received highly depends on tips! It appears that most staff rely highly on their tips. This is unlike what we were told at another more established resort we stayed at a year ago. As part of the orientation that resort specifically asked us not to give any tips as it is already included in out all inclusive package; I now know why! Staff were generally grumpy or lacked care, until we saw some other travellers discreetly providing tips with a hand shake. This seemed almost ritualistic. The level of attention and service offered to those clients were in a deep contrast to what some others received. Also, if you go to bed early and don't like to hear lots music after 11, you may want to book a room closer to the beach as the entertainments at and around the secrets plaza square close to the lobby along with the loud nightclub music (sometimes go until 5 am) can be uncomfortable even with the windows closed.
