Great for lazy laid back people like me. Love the lazy pool easy access from our room and the beach. Bring your own dollars on the increment of one dollar or you will be forced to share dollars of five dollar increments which they only like to offer as change .
Could have been 5 stars, the food is the only thing killing this place. It's just not good, tried every restaurant, many dishes, it's cheap and tasteless. Staff is overly nice and curtieous, weather is perfect, 24hr room service. One time I got a clean room and breakfast when I got back from the beach, other times no towels or water. Would have expected a bit more overall, more activities at the actual resort. Store goods are easIly 3 times the cost as outside the gates, go figure. Mostly enjoyed my stay.
Spent a week here. We had no probs while here. Room was great! Staff were helpful! The beach was beautiful but the water had quite a bit of seaweed in it. We had unlimited beverage/food package. The alcohol was ok, not the best, but it was free. The buffet bar was just ok...nothing spectacular. The other restaurants had a tasty menu!

Very nice resort, however, the time we were in here was plagued by the seagrass beach ... it smelled unpleasant and you could not go swimming without being tickled by seagrass. The food (all inclusive) was super hot, I have not seen such a selection of food in any hotel. Simply remarkable ... A star deduction because we had to resort to an external beach to bathe.
Stayed at this hotel from 12.09. By September 19, everything is super! The hotel is small but very cozy. The pool is wonderful in the shape of a river, there are no crowds, you can get privacy in any corner of the pool, there are so many sun loungers that are enough for everyone and they are all over the pool. There is 3 a la carte restaurants and a main buffet. The food is excellent, the menu changes every time. A lot of seafood and meat for every taste. In restaurants such as sea and Italian, you do not need to register in a queue. Only in Japanese you need to register in advance, but there is no problem. In the morning you signed up and come in the evening! The beach is very large and there are many sun loungers. Seaweed is constantly being cleaned. There is not much algae. 10 minutes from the hotel there is a supermarket with normal prices ....... all the souvenirs there are also sold at a good price. There is also a now larimar hotel nearby which you can use. Use their restaurants and pools. But they cannot use our hotel. The hotel is for adults only !! Without children !! Just a quiet hotel! The rooms are large and there is a jacuzzi on the balcony. Thank you to all the staff for a good stay !!!!!

What can be said after everything that is already written here, you can see more of the same. It is a spectacular hotel, "Excellent"
First of all, I would like to highlight the heat that is perceived by the staff in every minute we spend there. We come from the tourism sector and I can say that in other parts of the world we could learn a lot from the Dominican staff who work in this hotel (and in the others). At no time have we lacked anything and any demand for drinks, food, services or maintenance was always resolved as soon as possible and with a big smile. The room is made 2 times a day and the bed is decorated differently each day. If you need something more or less in the minibar, you say it and it is done.
The facilities are 10, it is true that in the rooms there are things that require improvement but as it is not a brand-new hotel, they are trifles that are understood and assumed.
The gardens are beautiful and cared for in detail. The pools are always clean and the water warm, numerous activities in the pool, beach, hotel. Music and dances every night by a spectacular group of dancers and dancers. Thank you very much for the good times.
At the reception, the welcome was very cordial and the registration was quick. They welcomed us with a very rich and natural cocktail.
As for food, in the 7 days we have been staying we have bored the buffet a bit and as the Larimar hotel (part of Now Larimar) is undergoing renovations there are fewer restaurants to choose from than usual. However, the Portofino restaurant and the Oceana have "Excellent" service and the food is 10.
The food service to the rooms works 24H and the food is delicious.
The cocktails are spectacular, very natural, lots of fruit and lots of variety.
Do you have something negative to highlight? Well, something that has bothered us a lot but that does not change our rating of the resort and the people who work in it are the people who sell on the beach or who want to take you to their business. We understand that life for people who do not live directly from the resorts must be very complicated and that you have to make a living but it is very uncomfortable that every 100 meters of beach someone comes and does not let you go until they see you pissed off. For this reason we have stepped on the beach only 2 times. I have to say that Zargazo we have seen very little and what is arriving at the beaches is cleaned periodically throughout the day.

Delicious food and many choices, friendly staff, fun staff. Only wish they didnt try to sell so much. Once in a while it's ok but at times too much. Overall excellent trip and plan to return at some point.
I am very disappointed in this resort. My fiance and I fell in love with this resort when we viewed online. Since then It has been a month. We have submitted online wedding date request, sent three emails and have called the wedding coordinator twice. We have not received a response. It is horrible that we are trying to do business with your resort and can not get a response. If your customer service is like this now then when we are at the resort we are sure it will be horrible then. I will not be recommending this resort to anyone.
Smaller resort with great service and great restaurant quality food. Adult atmosphere that is quiet and relaxing. Fun activities can easily be added.
Spa was wonderful, beaches beautiful except for battle with seaweed. Robinson our butler was phenomenal. Excellente!! Will be back!
Recently returned from Secrets Royal Beach. The resort was more on the quite side compared to other resorts we've been to. The buffet at Secrets was good but limited, we found ourselves traveling over to the Now side as the lunch buffet there had a better selection. The A la cart restaurants were all great except for the seafood which we found the quality was not at same level. Rooms were clean and modern. Staff was very friendly. Big thank you to Brian, Omar, and Little Man who definitely left us with lasting memories.
Looked forward all week to a (scheduled) bath on the balcony after a visit to the spa on our last evening. After discussing it twice with our butler and being promised that he would not forget, he forgot. He must have had more important things to attend to. We also had problems keeping our minibar stocked. Needed to retrieve our drinks ourselves.
A really nice place to relax. The food was one of the highlights, but also the beach was breathtaking.
The rooms were very well cleaned and the pool area was very well maintained. Mornings were also always aquajogging or similar offered.
Daa hotel is a bit like a small town, ma massage, a casino and a disco or something similar there was.
There are also several restaurants which you can visit which are all part of this hotel.
I can only recommend it!
My husband and I decided on Secrets Royal Beach for our destination wedding, and I couldn't be more pleased with our decision. As hands on as I am, it was hard to trust someone from afar to tend to all my wedding details, but Luisa Miranda did an amazing job! She even kept me calm during our last minute reception location change. The food was good, and there was something fun going on each night. Our friend Milky Way was all smiles, all the time, and made sure things were always going good for us and our guests. The resort was beautiful, and the perfect size for our group of forty. They are more about quality than quantity, and that's right up our alley! I highly recommend Secrets Royal, and definitely look forward to going back one day. =)
Excellent place for a resort the only issue is the quality of the food but that's to be expected with most all inclusive resorts.
What a wonderful place for couples!! The staff is fabulous, especially "Mr. Monkey" and "La Diva"!! They are young, energetic and genuinely seem to want to encourage the patrons to have a good time! It's a beautiful place!!
If you enjoy listening to sales pitches... This is the place for you. We went about 3 months ago for our 10th anniversary, and it's all I remember. The truly sad thing is that I tried to book some extras in advance and they made it impossible. When it wasn't their own staff trying to sell you excursions and membership, the sea pro guys on the beach would pick up the slack. If I never hear the words "Hola amigos..." It'll be too soon. Even our WestJet representative at the resort was a piece of work... only really there to sell excursions, he tried to insult me in front of my wife by asking, "who is the boss", while we tried to make a decision together. No one should ever go here and it's a shame because the food and housekeeping were exceptional.
Here's a secret for you secrets:. If you let me book excursions and a special dinner in advance, you don't have to ruin my vacation.

People was very friendly and the resort was very clean. Nice pool with bar. Food and drinks taste like soap. Horrible! The beach was full of seaweed and water looks dirty. Nothing like in the pictures and the Caribbean ocean. So so many mosquitoes which is not funny. My leg is all bite up and red. We met great people from Germany all so just want to comment that the people that work there was awesome best people ever. Also want to comment about the Dominican people that hang out at the Beach don't be afraid of them they are just trying to make a living. If you actually talk to them you will totally understand what i am saying.
The courtyard is where you want to take a romantic stroll after dinner. It also is the location of the lazy river pool which is relaxing. Adjacent to the lazy river, is the main pool with swim up bar. This is where the party tends to originate and is usually lots of people playing games and floating around while the DJ turns up the tunes. The ocean breeze at the beach kept the sand from getting too hot and made lounging very enjoyable. Definitely recommend preferred club as you get upgraded amenities and use of the hydro massage pool at the spa as well as the preferred pool with hammocks stretching into the pool. Room was typical, but had a whirlpool tub on the balcony which is a nice touch. Over all service could step up a bit and the language barrier for some of the bartenders resulted in some interesting drinks being served. I would recommend a visit to Secrets.
Not one of the best I've been to but it's fine. The beach is very good, the entertainment is great, the food is right, I recommend the Asian restaurant.
We came the first day it opened after Covid hit. We were treated like Royalty! However as the week went on , more guests arrived and they were not properly staffed. The staff they had worked very hard and were always kind. They need more staff. It became increasingly difficult to get reservations to the restaurant and wait times for getting service unacceptable. However I feel once they can get staff back they will be great! I had an Excellent time and plan on returning . I chalk the bad up to Covid! Please note that we will be back because Antonio Bandera, La Chic Chic, Ms Rosa and Eddy are absolutely beautiful people and we love them like family!

I came to Punta Cana looking for a place of warm weather and beautiful beaches, as because the recommendation of a friend who lives there. I lament not to do it before. We found a great deal to book Now Larimar and it fits perfectly the price and quality relationship. As soon as I arrive the team at the door gave me a welcome drink and fresh towels. I was advise by the receptionist to access to an app they have and during the trip I was able to verify information about the entertainment through it, needless to say the wifi is free and works pretty well, except at the beach. In our room we found everything for a comfortable week stay and the minibar was replenished every day. The restaurants serve great food, even for me that I can be really picky with food.
The service is amazing, so I recommend this property to anyone.
For a shisha lounge the place is very nice. I'd say better than haze ... More lighting bigger space better ambiance ... As for shisha... Not a huge fan do like the fact that have orange head options just feels like the shisha could be better. Can't comment on all the food only had the quesadillas they were good. Hopefully the shisha gets better and we would be there more often .

This is an adult only hotel. Guests can use the facilities of 2 other hotels which are adjoining however children are allowed in the other 2.
The food is very tasty however often it is cold which is why I only gave 4 stars.
The hotel is beautifully clean and our room was very large with super king size bed.
The maid attends to your room twice daily and usually leaves 2 chocolate kisses on our bed along with the news letter for the following day.
The pool is a little unusual in that it is a river style, but there is a swim up pool bar at one end.
The beach is wide with bueatiful fine white sand. There are plenty of sun loungers available so there's no need to get up at stupid o'clock to bag one.
Entertainment team are reasonably enthusiastic with a good range of activities. As an incentive to join in you get given pretend money with extra for winning competitions which you can then use to bid on items in an auction.
Beautiful beach, clean hotel and friendly staff. We stayed in the Adults only private area of the hotel, Graciela, who was outstanding. She was very attentive and professional. A Great experience.
The resort was amazing! The staff were very friendly and helped with whatever you might have needed.. My wife and I have nothing but praise for three employees they were always there if you needed anything. Alejandro - server, Chocolate - entertainment team, and Leo - waiter/bartender.. over all really enjoyed our time there. Already discussing a return trip at some point..

Preferred Club was a complete waste of money. When we arrived we felt pushed off because we were younger. We had to "go inside to make sure we were preferred" apparently the Preferred Club desk was for looks. Once getting to the Preferred Club check-in we had to wait and then be told our room was not ready, we then went to another couples room we were traveling with that did not go preferred who was checked-in and in their room. We were told our room would be ready in 30 minutes after changing into our swimsuit that we had in our carry-on in our friends room and hanging out for an hr. - hr. 1/2 we went back to the concierge to be told our room still was not ready. We felt as if we were a inconvenience to the concierge. The couple we were traveling with went to every Preferred Club pool, bar, lounge etc. with no questions asked. We came back to our room one day to find our safe wide open and that evening the same thing happen to our friends. Our safe hardly worked and had to be repaired as it wouldn't open after the repairman "fixed it" he turns to my husband and says the zero does not work. Housekeeping came so late in the day I felt they did not really clean anything up...if you ordered room service they placed your dirty dishes outside of your room door. The day prior to check-out we arranged to have out luggage picked up, we down to the concierge to check-out and she says "where did you place your luggage down here" as explained we arranged a pick up and it's still in our room she responded with "oh, I guess I can call someone to go up and get your luggage" once again it was as if we were a inconvenience to her. She never asked us to fill out a survey as the concierge the evening before told us we would need to do. I personally feel this is far from a 6 gold Apple resort......maybe 5 red apples if that. Thankfully the wait staff made a fun, memorable vacation. Willie, Alberto, Angel and a few waitresses took very good care of us.

AVOID....unless you want to lose weight from being sick, otherwise enjoy. With exception of a few employees you are an inconvenience to them and they will let you know by being rude.

If you are looking for a resort to party and get drunk this is not your place, if you want to relax being in a pleasant environment surrounded by nice people is a great option.
If I return to Punta Cana for sure I will return here.
Very nice hotel with a large area.
The rooms are clean, the bathroom is very large and has a nice spacious shower. Some things seem a bit old, but that doesn't affect it.
The food is excellent, there are 8 or 9 different restaurants of all styles, plus bars and small grills.
The staff is great, always friendly, always patient and very helpful. The drink is never empty for long and you really feel welcome.
There are also events every day.
The complex and the stand are very clean and well-kept, there is enough space in the pool. Algae swim in the sea, but that's the way it is in the Atlantic, nothing surprising.
Secrets is 18+, so overall very quiet, if you want it a little more sociable and with children, then you should book the normal Now Larimar, otherwise Secrets is the perfect starting point for a quiet holiday (the other area is open to you at any time).
If you are looking to have the best vacation of your entire life, stay at Secrets in Punta Cana. Beach is absolutely beautiful. Pools are gorgeous. Rooms are modern and romantic. Upscale dining and delicious breakfast buffet. Staff is friendly, attentive, and caring. Some of many highlights from our trip there this March include: lounging on the beach with drinks, reading by the pool, swim up pool bar, plenty of entertainment (Zumba on the beach with The Cat, water polo with Eddie Murphy, volleyball with Mini Me, paddle boarding and corn hole on the beach). Highly recommend and hope to return! Thank you!

The service was great pool side, thank Junior and Angel. The beach was wonderful too, but unfortunately our room had an air conditioning problem. When we explained it at the front desk they offered another room. Unfortunately the second room was no better for air and the desk attendant was very pushy about it being ok. We stuck it out in the second room because we didn't feel like moving for a third time and we were already two days into a five day vacation.
All in all a nice place, but a little over priced. Out of all the restaurants only the Italian one served good food.
Resort itself is very nice, but I suggest that someone speaks fluent Spanish it will help! I won't return due to the handling of very strong mildew smell due to water leak in the bathroom which cause nausea and insomina. Called 4 times for someone to address the issue and I was given incense ...Housekeeping was typically..sheets were not changed every day if at all and the bed was too soft for my liking.
First, let me say the resort is beautiful. The pools and rooms are great, and the employees bend over backwards to accommodate you. We were at the pool everyday, and if you're lucky enough to meet ANGEL, he's the best waiter/entertainer you can find. He honestly made the stay phenomenal.
Now for the reason I gave the resort a poor review. When you arrive you get bombarded in the lobby with salesman trying to sign you up for the vacation membership sales pitch. Our salesman, ORLANDO, promised a romantic couples dinner on the beach at no cost if we gave them 90 minutes of our time to do their sales pitch. My wife and I and the two other couples with us figured we could give up 90 minutes of our vacation for a dinner that was valued at $240, so we signed up.
The sales pitch itself lasted almost 3 hours, instead of 90 minutes. We finally got out of there without buying anything, and enjoyed our vacation. The romantic dinner on the beach was great, and the food was the best we had during our stay.
However, when we went to check out there was a charge on our bill for the dinner. We had been given a $100 resort coupon, and told that would cover the cost on the bill. But the cost on the bill was $160. When we argued the charge we were told we would have to talk to ORLANDO. When we got in touch with ORLANDO, he began making excuses like "You had the higher priced meal". But we chose the meal through him. He also said "the wine was an extra charge", but we didn't have any wine. Basically we were told, too bad. And the resort told us the discrepancy was between us and ORLANDO.
So my poor review is over $60 and a shady salesman. But I hold the resort accountable because they place these salesman in their lobby, to sell a membership to their resort. If the resort is not going to hold these salesman accountable or make their false promises right, then they shouldn't have them there. Between my wife and I, and the two other couples, we spent a lot of money in the spa, casino, and tipping. I was absolutely shocked that Secrets wouldn't make good on their salesman's promise over $60.
Amazing resort, all inclusive, great food, located on the beach, lazy river pool, swim up spacious rooms, 6 restaurants to choose from, immaculate grounds and the most attentive, helpful staff. Would recommend and return

Meh for the price it was way over hyped. Only ok food and drinks. I increased the stars to 2 because the maids were very nice. Tennis courts not bad but limited hours ( for example no tennis for a 3 hour lunch break)
I love Secrets. This is by far my favorite all inclusive resort and I will definitely keep returning. It's small and private feeling but the access you have to the restaurants at adjoining NOW keep it from getting boring. The staff is phenomenal and the food is way better than I've experienced at other resorts.
Staff at this resort are exceptional, every single one of them. Your check in starts with "Welcome Home!" So friendly. Entertainment team is wonderful. The dancers fantastic. The MC is engaging. Many daily activities offered. Wide variety of restaurants and so many different and amazing drinks. The bartenders are so much fun and never have I recieved a drink that was light in alchol. Rooms are spotless. Grounds are imaculate. Nothing negative at all to say about this resort. We will definetly be visiting the secrets family of resorts for our future trips.

A very cozy hotel with people who serve you with kindness
We had a swim up room that my travel agent booked through Delta vacations (which I will never use again). While the room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the pool was good, the rest of the resort was definitely not worth my time or money. I have stayed at many different resorts over the years, and this is my third time to Punta Cana, but I have never had worse service in my life. The staff is downright rude. Check- in was a mess. The room I booked and paid for wasn't available so they tried to pawn off a different room. When I refused, I was told I had to wait and hour and a half without my luggage so I couldn't even go swimming or relax. None of the staff speaks or understands English so it was a struggle all week, especially when a woman needed medical assistance and no one could understand. The food was subpar, at best. The final straw was the enormous cockroach in my room. I called and complained and no one came to remove it. I called again, and they said they would call me back, which they didn't. Thirty minutes later someone shows up and doesn't even speak a word to us. On our last night someone called to ask how the stay was. I told her what was wrong. She said she would talk to management and get back to me, which she never did. When we check out I got a receipt, and no apology, no thank you for coming, nothing. Just another rude staff member. Luis at the Seaside Grill was the one staff member that was pleasant. I don't even have enough space to lay out all the issues, but I would NEVER go back.
Excellent place, all the people without exception is very kind, it has everything !, the rooms are beautiful with ac, the only part where the beach is cleaned and it is free of seaweed, it has more than 4 places to eat, it is clean and clean, the bars are open, they have very entertaining shows and free activities !! The details are very few, the Wi-Fi connections are a little slow and fslta acondionador or desenredante for the hair. (Another small detail is the dj of the nigtclub, it is not very good nesclando music)
The preferred club was a little misleading and we were tricked into a 3 hour sales pitch for a vacation timeshare program by the resort but other than that we had a fantastic time. The drinks are week so it isn't a place to go party but it was a great get away for couples.

The hotel / complex itself was beautiful. The rooms are okay, but very American and took some getting used to for a German.
After you've acclimatized, it gets really fun.
However, by "all inclusive" we understood something else. Because if you don't tip dollars, the service could be described as poor.
I like to tip, but not with every single order. It is therefore well advised to look for a waiter and give him a good tip and then benefit from the service.
In addition, we had a lot of mosquitoes in December, which made the stay outside in the evening rather painful, because you constantly only hit your legs.
But, we also got to know a lot of interesting people from the USA and Canada. Mega interesting.
Second trip to Dominican and once again every thing was wonderful. The staff are professional and helpful. Especially want to thank Esthefany for being friendly and a great person to deal with.
Excellent food. Very friendly. Spread out over large area so be prepared for walking. Need to understand exactly where you will be staying so you are not disappointed in your location. Very nice sand in Beach area.
