Unfortunately this hotel is not excellent - as often described and due to the constant repetition of the staff on site, the hotel is not excellent either.

The hotel is a good hotel and if the price / performance ratio wasn't completely wrong, it would also be recommendable for 1300 / 14 days.

However, the reality is that the low season is asking for 2000 + and it's just not worth it.

The system looks good and is quite nicely set up. The rooms with jacuzzi also appear very classy at first glance.

In the second week, however, we disliked a lot. It is clear that Punta Cana is on the Atlantic side and that the Caribbean feeling does not come across. If you are looking for clear water, you should travel south.

The sea is cloudy, which is why I didn't see a fire jellyfish that caught my foot. In the end it could have been another animal, because I couldn't see anything in the murky water.

Now to the hotel:

The room starts to smell extremely from the second week at the latest due to the extreme humidity.

In spite of a generous tip, room service was not able to make it as clean as one would have to expect in a 5 * facility for this price.

The food does not repeat itself. It just stays the same. There isn't one thing for a week and then something else during the week, but the same thing every day.
In the buffet restaurant the main course changes every day between fish, poultry, pork and beef. There is no more variety. The selection in the buffet restaurant is rather poor for a 5 * hotel. I saw more choice in Egypt.



The Portovino Restaurant (Italian) can only convince with the pasta. Pizza is lousy.

The Japanese restaurant is promoting a cooking show that did not take place. Everyone in the hotel was disappointed with this show as it was just normal cooking as I know it at home. The local Japanese or Chinese in Germany have more shows to offer.

We didn't use the seafood restaurant.

In addition, you can use the restaurants in the neighboring hotels, but they are not great either.

The beach looks nice and has very fine sand. But that was it.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a romantic dinner, which is offered for over $ 300, as you can simply be served food without being asked. In our case it was mostly fish dishes that we didn't eat because we don't like fish.

The vendors on the beach, who are tolerated by the hotel staff and who constantly run after you, are also very annoying.

The hotel staff is sometimes very friendly, but it is said again and again that everything is excellent. Upon request, we were confirmed that this excellent one is being impounded into the staff in a martial manner.

Overall, the hotel is worth at most 4 stars and unfortunately not recommendable in terms of price. We spoke to several couples who share the same opinion and will not be staying here again for our next vacation.
