My wife and I were there from 3/10/18 - 3/17/18 for our Honeymoon. We had a GREAT week!! The beach, pool, the grounds and weather were awesome! and I cannot rave about the staff enough. They go over and above to make your stay special. From the maids to the landscapers to the bartenders. EVERYONE was SO happy. I wish people here were half as happy as the people there are. They are grateful for everything they have. It was wonderful to witness this.

However, I would be remiss if I didn't share the "issues" that I have with this resort.

- We booked a "Swim out Suite". The fact that they can market this as a "swim out" is comical. It was a very nice room but walking 20+ feet from your room to enter the pool (lazy river) is not a "swim out". Just search their other Resort (Secrets Cap Cana) and check out the "Swim out" suite there. Or just search any resort that offers a swim out and I bet it's not like the one we had. It was a joke that they even categorize it as that.

- All Inclusive including "premium" liquor. I guess this is all my fault. I should have had someone define "premium". Absolute as the best Vodka? Johnnie Walker Red as the best Scotch? And worse than that was the wine. We never have a bottle of wine in our house over $20; so we are far from wine snobs. Simply put, the wine they offered wasn't drinkable! But there was never a time that we went to dinner that a wine list wasn't shown to us to order "anything" we wanted (AT AN ADDITIONAL COST of course). Totally unacceptable at an ALL INCLUSIVE WITH PREMIUM liquor!

- The breakfast's and lunch's were fine. The buffet had ample food and most of it was very good. However, the dinners were below average at best. Out of the 7 nights we had dinner at 6 different restaurants and only one (the Mexican restaurant at Now Laminar), was good. The other 5 were not good. Our first night we sat to dinner (at Oceana, their seafood restaurant) and we met a couple who was there for 11 nights and this was their 7th. We asked what's your favorite restaurant so far? She said; "we were hoping tonight's would be". We laughed then, but as the week went on we realized that a below average to poor dinner was the norm.

I want to emphasize that although all this existed we made the best of it, and had a great week!! However, we would never go there again. I would have given this 3.5 stars if possible
