Now Larimar Punta Cana Resorts & Spas Review

Capers was the best restaurant on the Now Larimar compound! I highly recommend this place...and the Papa John's 1km down the road and yes they deliver to the hotel.

All good except the reception, little resolutive and very slow spatially check in.

They mostly summarized how I felt but I'll add a few things.

Preface by saying I've stayed in everything from Super 8 to four seasons. I also stayed as a "preferred member." DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! I felt as if I had to beg for anything and It was a favor when received. Consistent poor hospitality. The food is very underwhelming. Many of our group became ill and avoided certain places all together. The rooms were moldy and practically everything in mine was broken. Other party members had similar experiences. Water through roofs, no power, extreme moisture, broken safe. The good- beach, pools, and party atmosphere. Not recommended for children. I witnessed nudity, excessive loud noise, profanity amongst other things. I did enjoy myself solely because the group I was with however, I feel people should be informed. Now Larimar is a mega resort. We did an excursion that stopped at the Westin, it was amazing service just for our lunch and one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever been to. It was also much quieter and smaller in scale.

Me and my mother checked in not knowing that they have two separate hotels, one by the beach and one far away. They put us in the far away hotel. And we were not happy since there was a long walk from the beach. We checked out and went to another hotel right after. I would never come back here again. not worth $3000.

One of the best experiences I ever had. I have never been to an all inclusive resort before, so I dont have anything to compare it to, however, from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. CLEAN and friendly facility throughout the whole resort. Everything was top notch. I did happen to stroll over to Secrets (even though guests at Now are not permitted) and it was beautiful too. NOW has a lively night scene even though it's a family resort. I loved the preferred pool with the swim up bar and the relaxing pool at the preferred section was quiet and so amazing. I wouldnt change a thing. Highly recommend this vacation to everyone. Even my boyfriend who did not want to go (he is in the middle of grad school) didnt want to come back to the states and tried to extend our stay! 10/10!

An excellent experience spent at this Resort on Bavaro Beach. I have rarely seen such a level of service as a prefered member club. The tariff supplement is amply justified. The welcome is excellent. The accommodation is comfortable, a la carte restaurants are qualitative, nocturnal entertainment at the limit of the professional. There are 3 pools, 2 of which are reserved for club members and a lagoon pool. We have always found a sunbed available, which is highly appreciable. The beautiful beach is well appointed and very clean with deckchairs and umbrellas made of palm leaves. There is a bathing area in the ocean sufficient for the number of people bathing there. Only point of improvement, the buffet restaurant food that could be more qualitative. In summary, an excellent address on Punta Cana. To advise both couples and families. Everyone will find his account. Be careful, do not confuse the neighboring hotel "Now Garden" which does not offer the same amenities and is set back from the beach. It still allows access to the infrastructure and catering of Now Larimar.

Good resort, 5 minutes walking to the beach. Guests can enjoy facilities of the hotel next to it, Now Larimar, which is bigger and better.

Great for those who just want to rest ... has a huge pool, with bar ... stayed here but spent the days in Larimar because it has more activity and is next to the beach ... you have access to the Larimar 5 minutes walk or cart of golf ...

Way. It is more of a club and besides it is not indicated in the brochures. So quiet side it's not that!

In very hygienic, good food, the staff is very nice and has a good establishment.

A quiet place problems in the rooms does not work the hot tub loses water the bathroom I said this in reception and they have not solved it very friendly people

We had a good vacation!!!...stayed there for a week...from Feb.27-March 5...nice weather,food&drinks...friendly employees ... we did parasailing...it's so much fun!!! sadly need to back in cold weather again...(Winnipeg, Canada)...

FABULOUS EXPERIENCE!! I could not recommend this resort enough. I have stayed at resorts all over the world & I can honestly say that this resort is top notch from the rooms & restaurants, beach, pools & overall service. Our butler, Rafael, made our experience 100X better. I could not have asked for anything else from him & his fellow staff members. Totally impressed & cannot wait to return- as long as Rafael is still at NOW Larimar! Will recommend to everyone looking to travel to the Caribbean. Thank you, Rafael & all of NOW Larimar staff for a wonderful experience!

The most wonderful time ever, the staff is Golden... definitely recommend you go, and join the unlimited membership club preferred club status is worth it..

It was ok. Nothing to brag about. Mediocre food and one selection of presidente beer. I drank about 15 and no buzz. Next day drank 4 from a place outside the resort in a can and got a buzz. Must be watered down. The Italian and mexican restaurants were pretty good. The japanese place served chinese. The place is very limited on selections of anything too. Maybe im just picky. Not much to do for children other than pool. Would I go there again? No. Did I enjoy myself there? Yes.

Good hotel. Not much for children. Not a single slide. Absolutely nothing to do with kids younger than 3. Preferred club is good , however in room fridge somethimes not filled for couple days, always have to ask for it. Entertainment is good, food is great.

I wish I could give negative stars, I wouldn't recommend this resort personally. The food was not good, it was pretty awful!! They do not cater towards allergies or food intolerances like their menu online boasts. They import all their food and it all has a bad artificial taste, even their drinks. The open bars were not top shelf (it was fake liquor), and they only sold one beer unless you paid extra and upgraded to preferred in which case then you could have a selection of two. The whole preferred thing was confusing and annoying, you pay $1700 for a trip to this resort and when you arrive you don t have full access to the restaurants and drink choices unless you pay more money? Bull. During the day you could only eat the buffet, preferred could eat at one restaurant and buffet.

Not a huge deal, but they didn't have robes or slippers or any extras in the room, we even tipped the cleaners. Basic hotels have these amenities. And you couldn't relax and sit on the beach or walk around the resort without being bombarded by extremely pushy people trying to sell something to you. Several of our company had bathroom issues on the trip, even though they did not drink the water, which I would contribute to the food. Luckily I didn't since I was barely eating anything. And the resort really didn't offer any activities that were inclusive, everything you had to pay for. The language barrier at the resort with staff was difficult, but I guess that is to be expected.

The island was very pretty, so the scenery gets an A plus. Also the company, the people we traveled with really made the trip.

The most enjoyable part of the trip was paying extra to go on the snorkeling/party boat cruise. I would highly recommend that.

Overall I never want to do an all inclusive trip again. It's really not my cup of tea.

It's a good family resort. I was staying at Secrets attached to it which is adults only. If you are at Secrets you can use all Larimar facilities but not the other way around. Larimar was a bit crowded and waiting tiifor restaurants was longer. Secrets was more exclusive with no waiting times.

Would have to say that going to this resort was the worst mistake for my hunny moon. After getting here to only find out we were giving false information by the travel agent and to have to wait 2 hours to find out they don't and or can't do anything is very disappointing. Hunny moon definitely was ruined

Great hotel !!! What should be noted separately, wi-fi is present in the hotel everywhere, even on the pools and it is free.

Really enjoyed our stay. The staff treats you like family and are very accommodating to large groups (+30). I would recommend this place for any destination event and will stay here again.

Top staff and quality service. You really feel the personel wishes you a good stay. We took the prefered option.

Damp beds, poor service, overpriced, poor quality food even in restaurants (except for catered food for the events, which is outstanding), terrible drinks (even taking straight shots of top shelf liquor tastes fake). Would not recommend.

Only the food can improve, everything else is great, helpful and friendly staff, great facilities, large clean rooms, highly recommend.

My husband & I stayed here from May 20 - 28th to celebrate our anniversary. Initially had a minor mix-up with the room reservation (On Expedia's end), which was rapidly corrected. We were treated like royalty our entire stay. Staff was friendly & incredibly thoughtful. Frequently came back to the room after dinner to find our room had been decked out with rose petals, jacuzzi filled with bubbles, a plate of lovely desserts & a bottle of chilled champagne. The resort is meticulously maintained & it is apparent everyone loves their job. Because of our room mix up, the hotel manager, Darling, made sure we were well taken care of. In less then 1 day, we felt like friends with so many wonderful people - Darling, Warnes, Juan, Luis, Randy & so many more. Great memories were made! I would recommend this resort unquestionably! Thank-you for a lovely stay & making us feel like family. Hasta que nos volvamos a ver mis amigos!

The accommodations are very nice. Little changes would make a big difference.
For example, the hot tubs are freezing, all of them. Spa service was so so, didn t seem in sync w each other as I was wandering aimlessly waiting for my message, which started 20 minutes late but ended on time? The masseuse was great however, would of liked the 80 minutes I paid for vs the 50 or so I received.
The food is like most all inclusive. The place is very clean and for an all inclusive it s very nice. I would recommend, here for four more days. Would be nice to have hot or at least warm hot tub. Paper cubs which drinks are served out of give a cheap feel and not so eco-friendly, plastic cups would be better and proved a nicer experience.

Wilkin Profete is the supervisor and is amazing person and fun to be around I recommend going to this hotel it is the most amazing place I have ever been to in Dominican Republic

The service is good but my main complaint is the food. I'm currently laying in my hotel room with the worst food poisoning I've ever had. Everyday my girlfriend and I along with another couple had minor stomach issues everyday here but it wasn't really anything too bad. Until now. I've thrown up a handful of times already and I'm sure there's more to come. I'm pretty sure it was from the "Italian restaurant" they have here. Do yourself a favor and don't come here.

A special place to enjoy and spend a beautiful vacation with the children!

My 14 year old daughter and I had an unforgettable experience at this hotel, very attentive, friendly and easy-smiling staff.
We had a problem with the first room, but we were promptly changed rooms, we stayed in the Bavarian building. Very nice, spacious room with a jacuzzi in the bathroom included.
Room service 24h / day.
On the beach and pool, they were always asking if we needed anything.
Despite the tireless cleanliness of the beach, the seaweed insisted on appearing, but even so, we have a beach with an extensive white sand and great sea water !!!

Very good and varied restaurants, we repeat the sushi 3 times. we only felt sorry for not being able to enter the French restaurant, as it was for people over 18.
With WiFi network throughout the hotel, including on the beach.
Animations all day, including great and varied shows at night.
I congratulate the animation team, they were excellent, I want to pay special attention, and thank the animators Mini Baby, Red Bull, Baby Face, Super Man, Cappuccino ..
... that made our stay at Hotel Now Larimar even more special.

Excellent Resort complex, along with now Larimar, and secrets, the only thing is that almost everything is at now larimar facilities (restaurants, theater, beach), you just have to get in one of the big golfcar like vehicles that take guests between hotels in the complex

Our food has been great, at the same time the hotel beach has made us feel fantastic, the rooms impeccable and the activities, quite good, all of 100% of us came for a simple vacation and in this minute we are in love with the attention of this hotel, just like the guy in the cafe who has the afternoon shift is a loving person and very dedicated to work ... in love with the hotel and happy to have had a vacation at the Now, we will be back soon and congratulations on the team they have achieved.

The pool area is beautiful, it has a bar with all kinds of drinks, they party with foam.

Punta cana is a beautiful place but this resort is the worst. I was forced to write a "good" review on travel advisor to mention an employees name. Too many people walking around demanding you to buy their things, do excursions, etc... these people do not take no for answer, even told them we couldn't afford it and they didn't care. Went on one of the excursions and was completely lied to about the content of the trip. The excursion included dune buggies and they couldn't provide us with helmets.
The food here is also a hit and a miss. The restaurant food is definitely a miss, same with the room service food. The buffet was alright, some things better than others. Room service food is soggy and old for sure. Pizza was soggy and wet. Asked for guacamole with my Nachos and got cheese on the side instead.
Room was okay. The jacuzzi hardly worked, same with the tv. Had to call twice to get the tv to work, with a wait of a couple of hours. Also called for more water bottles and never came. Tried to call the manager to tell him what's happening and had to call three times to wait a hour and a half for him to end up showing up at our room.

First of all, let me start by saying that we booked this hotel for 10 people. That's right. Ten people. $12,000. You'd think the staff would care about our needs or wants. They, in fact, did not. We tried to book the honeymoon suite for us and regular rooms for my family but we all got the same rooms. When I asked about it, I was told it was because I booked through a third party. Fine. I will discuss that with them. Next, when we arrived we were given certain times for dinner, shows and were told we had $200 in extra "VIP" money to spend; $100 at the spa and $40 at the casino. That was actually not true. I cashed in my VIP key and I was given "extra" money to use. I got excited and thought that was great! What I was not told was that I could not use the credit all at once; so $10 per night at the casino. I was told this the last night of our trip, after not using any credit thus far but spending well over $100 at the casino alone. I asked to speak to a manager; he Was NO help and while I talked to him his staff watched our discussion and commented in Spanish with smirks on their face. The customer service is complete garbage unless you are at a preferred bar with certain staff after you've tipped them. My room was BARELY cleaned the entire 4 days I was there. I had washcloths only the first day. Of the 5 restaurants, not one was great. They were all okay. The room service was probably the best. The shows were okay, the circus one being the best. We vacation twice a year and I have NEVER had a resort care as little as this resort did. My family and I will NEVER return to a NOW resort in the Dominican, or anywhere else.

The hotel crew are very nice and welcoming, the hotel was very clean and pretty. One thing I didn't like was that people would leave their towels in the seats and go eat and expect to come back and find their seats, they would leave it early in the morning in the best seats and no one would say anything.

Stayed for six days and everything was great. I would recommend this place to you.

We spent our honeymoon here and it was perfect all round. Large, beautiful rooms with private Jacuzzi, wonderful views and excellent service. Staff without exception friendly and in a good mood. Food delicious and an incredible selection.

To have visited this place has been one of the best experience I've had. This place is simply ideal for a vacation. It is beautiful all very well. congratulations to the show guys of the sirco made a masterful presentation. I recommend this place

Nothing to do with what they sold me. Very boring. There is no entertainment or fun activities for the family.

Beautiful resort. We stayed next door at Secrets but went over a couples times! Casino is small and closes at 2:00 a.m. but nice if you like a little gambling. The night club is fun!
