Overall the resort and staff were awesome. I was very impressed by the beach at the resort. Very clean and minimal disturbance from local vendors pushing their items.

Swim up bar was great. Our bartender Antonio Banderas was the best! He was super attentive and always making sure we were having the best time we could have.

The rooms were very cozy and the staff kept them neat and tidy multiple times a day.

The restaurants were ok. We didn t like how at least 2 of them were closed every day. It s very hard to get seating as it was and then having two restaurants closed, made it tricky to get a table.

The buffet was great! All the staff there was friendly and accommodating.

Coco Cafe is the best! Fresh coffee and desserts makes everything better.

Plenty of entertainment to keep you busy!

I was staying at the Now Garden, with rooms that I do not recommend to anyone. But I could enjoy the facilities of the Now Larimar hotel and it is 5 star.

The pools are very clean, the staff very helpful. The Snacks are very complete and of good quality.

They must try the restaurants, they are exquisite, without reservation except for one.

A recommendable resort. The infrastructure is very modern .... the mediocre gastronomic offer ... could be better. The negative discrimination of its guests according to canceled rates: normal. Preferred and vip Preferred .... this is not reported by your operator (latamtour). The impact of it ... not being able to access certain spaces ... which is not very pleasant.

The hotel is very good, it is not a giant super complex and that from my point of view is positive. Highlight the staff that works there, super attentive. I have been in many IT hotels and they have never asked me practically if I needed anything. From the waiter to the cleaning girl they are waiting for you. Highlight the treatment of Maria de Paula in cleaning the room and she was in charge of decorating the room for our son's birthday and it is to be appreciated and the treatment that we gave was fantastic.
To put some but it is the dinners in the buffet ... there is a lot of difference from the meals to the dinners, so they almost force you to go to the restaurants.There, highlight the Italian and the girls who take the tables ... wonderful and super helpful. I also highlight a waitress in the pool who was very pregnant and there she was giving everything, all day working and her smile was not erased.
Comment that the theme of explorer club is super well raised but the girls lack a bit of spark and they resort a lot to TV with movies in English ... and my children were a bit bored ... the truth is that they hardly stepped on it for this reason, maybe we agree that we went at bad hours ... it could be ...

Very good customer service, good service, good food, disco disc style terrace, wide beach El ... The show half discouraged, but it may be that the one who was sleepy was me.

The staff is so lovely and friendly. Every moment you will feel like home. The hotel has different food options (Italian, french, american, mexican and japonese restaurants. Also they had buffet and room service 24 hours). The spa, disco, casino and sport bar are amazing. Every night they offer a different show. The beach is turquoise and calm, you will have an unforgettable bar near by and you can practice kayac by free. Also in the mornings they have an entertainment team by the beach with different kind of activities (yoga, dance class, aerobics) and in the afternoon they are at the pool. Really recommend place for an unforgettable holidays for all the family.

I couldn't find a way to email them personally so I'll just leave a public review where ever I can. The people at now garden in punta cana are absolutely amazing! I lost my wallet along with my passport credit cards id everything! These people went above and beyond to assist me in anyway possible, special thanks to Raymond(I believe he is the manager) Luis(who I believe may manage the French resturant?) and the security manager, these three along with security and concierge helped me beyond belief! Seriously if I told you all they did you wouldn't even believe me! I can honestly say I received better treatment from them then I did at the "u.s." Embassy! I will forever be grateful for all they did and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!

Resort is amazing, quiet family style resort. Staff is more then friendly and beyond helpful. They are all inclusive and are willing to get you anything you ask for. Only have one location to eat on this resort but they also give you access to their attached resort with more food options, and nightlife.

Average food, bad customer service, room delivered late without explanation

Best resort I've stayed at in the DR. Staff is very friendly and cheerful. Beautiful established gardens. Amazing pools but I did not use. Bed and pillow were extremely comfortable. I don't sleep well without my pillow and I slept perfectly every night. Food was excellent quality. Dinner restaurants were average in terms of food quality. Incredible service, especially while dinning. Get yourself a cupcake at the cafe. I found the liquor to be of extremely low quality, which is the worst thing IMO about this place. You must get preferred membership to get decent liquor. I went super bowl week and they through a serious party for the game in the theater.

The beach is full of seaweed and dirty during June. Instead of preventing them from coimg to the shore, they choose to pick them up after. Melia is right next to it and has a beautiful and clean beach because of the prevention.

Very nice as a hotel. The buffet is breathtaking. Prepare for the tourist trap.

We only visited the restaurants and the casino. We stayed at Secrets the adult only side. Food was good & the entertainment was good. The casino isn't big by any means but there's enough slots to keep you playing.

Stayed at Secrets but spent most of nights at Now once that they are side by side and Now has more options of entertainment after hours. Good food, good staff.

We paid and booked for now Lorimar but were given now garden which are sub standard rooms. Resort management blamed the travel agent and travel agent blamed now Lorimar. I will continue to pursue for partial refund.

We visited this hotel and upon arriving we were convinced to join a session where we will be shown the property and receive a bracelet so we can enjoy the VIP pleasures
Well, let me tell you, this is a sales scheme where they waste 4 hrs of you bacation time trying to sell you their timeshare...!
So we went through the whole sales pitch nightmare, so instead of relaxing, our time was a total bad experience.
Anyway, we ended up w these bracelets for a VIP guests, the most absurt thing was to have a VIP open bar buffet between the pool and the ocean, where all of the other guests were watching as if the were hungry animals observing a predators catch...
Come on Now Larimar, really?
If i did not sign up for your nightmare sales ordeal, i have already spent $4500 for 7 days and your idea of good time is wrigling some shiny ball infrint if my face, making me feel like a beggar....

We were with my wife of Honeymoon a while ago and we liked everything: service, place, facilities, food, etc ... We recommend the hotel to rest !!!

An all-inclusive hotel with lots of staff to assist you in restaurants, buffet, reception, beach bars, cleaning ... Overall excellent treatment. Very good service. Everything very clean and taken care of. We loved it.

As good as it gets . Swim-up ( canal) to almost all rooms. Very good shuttle s. Evenings entertainment's a plus. NOW high standards throughout.

This was our second time at this resort. They have done some serious remodeling and it looks even more impressive now. The carnival international buffet is bigger and the food is amazing. What really impressed me was the two employees there, Bernardo and Poche, who remembered us from our first visit and how we liked our morning coffee. They went out of their way every morning to make sure we were taken care of. I cannot recommend this resort enough! My home away from home!

The Now Larimar Resort is a nice hotel. The facility is very large and open. You have the option to walk through the hotel room corridors or through the palm garden. Everything is kept clean and tidy here. The pools are great, there are 5 of them, 1 of which is a kiddy pool. There are plenty of loungers around the pools and in roofed houses. The resort is right on Bavaro Beach. There are also plenty of loungers available there. On the beach you have the opportunity to borrow a small catamaran and kayaks for free. The beach is spacious, but unfortunately overlooked by a lot of algae. The resort tries to remove them, but they have no power against nature.
In the resort a distinction is made between '' normal guests '' and Preferrd Club guests. That means that in addition to the '' normal "room you have a room in the Preferrd Club area, which is closer to the pool and the beach. Each room is equipped with a terrace or balcony. In addition, the minibar is refilled every day and there is a 24 Hours of room service. (Free of charge) As a Preferrd Club guest, you have many more great amenities, which I cannot list here.
The staff is very friendly and willing to help. They strive 100% to make your stay unforgettable. All in all, it's a great resort that I can recommend 101% to everyone.

With all the negative things going in the Dominican Republic. As well as in the rest the world. I really enjoyed my time at the resort and so did the rest of my family and friends. If have a chance to do it again, I will go back. Now Larimar is forever with me. You all should go.

The truth is that I loved this hotel and left me wanting to return, the food was the best, the hotel is very nice and the rooms also have a beautiful beach and it is the perfect place to spend with friends, family, or with your partner

Excellent staff, rooms and food. The ocean could've been a bit cleaner but I guess it depends on the season. There were small trucks collecting all day things off the beach. Ping pong table needs to be changed and pool has to be changed in sports bar. Excellent activities! Definatelly consider preferred upgrade as it gives you access to a lot of good perks. Ranniel was awesome! People were so friendly you feel overwhelmed with positive vibes. Everything is excellente! The only thing I didn't like much was all the sales people everywhere asking you to buy things. You need to learn to say no or you'll be back home with a lot of random items.

Pros: beach was beautiful, pools were nice, generally staff were friendly

Cons: food wasn't amazing, impossible to get a decent cup of tea, drinks were very very sweet, one night I ordered water and French fries via room service which took over an hour to arrive and were soggy and cold. Was told it would take 20 minutes.

Biggest problem:

On arrival I was accosted by staff to go to promotional events. It was so aggressive I was getting close to actually running away. They physically surrounded me and tried to get me to come to a time share meeting or something. They kept commenting about how I didn't have a husband, which I found really offensive. I was there for a wedding and to spend time with my friends who I never see. The harassment really started things off on a bad note for me. Generally the staff were friendly and helpful, but that beginning was unnecessarily unpleasant.

Very good service in general. The employees are very kind. A special mention for the Explorer club employees and activities. Hotel service is adequate and improves when you are in the Preferred area. There are many and varied attractions that change day after day.
The excellent connectivity offered by the hotel in different points and places of the complex is remarkable, all without paying any additional fee. The connectivity is so good that you can even stream video without interruption. Congratulations!!

It has been two great weeks, it is the second time we have gone and we will repeat again.

Attention, Service, Cleaning and good quality food.

To begin, Special thanks for Warnes The Butler and Joel the coffee/tea person who made my son tea everyday in the buffet eating area.
Ok - so if you book standard accommodation you will be encouraged to take advantage of the entire complex by upgrading to preferred. If you do this you get access to 2 x lounges with coffee and snacks etc and all pools. You will also get a room with a Spa bath. This upgrade was heavily discounted for me and the family due to the time of year and the hotel not being full. Most daily activity will happen around the standard pool each day and you can get coffee etc at the beach so you have to decide if you think the upgrade is worth the additional cost.
I understand some of the less positive reviews. If you are a UK citizen we may not always be certain of the tipping requirements. The hotel staff will expect tips, especially in the restaurants. When you tip you will notice an immediately better service. unfortunately unless you tip you will not get the highest standard of service. people who tipped the maid would get bed art etc each day, if you didnt tip you would get a standard service, similar in the restaurants especially the American style restaurant. I have visited Jamaica recently and you would only tip here if you received an exceptional service, not just to get one.
The food for me was very good. I am not a fan of chips and fatty meats so I would eat lots of locally grown fruits and vegetables, if you enjoy a nice sirloin cut you may be disappointed. The kids eating area was well received by my 2 boys. I really cant personally complain about the food in the buffet area. I would highly recommend booking SPICE and a seat at the grill. this is a restaurant where the chef will cook at a grill in front of you and will put on a show with fire. this was excellent.
Overall this was a great experience for me and the family (with young children). Dominican Republic is definitely a place to visit and this hotel would offer everything you need for your stay

Excellent but check-in was done poorly with our group and we didn't get the robe and slippers like our friends did even though we paid for the upgrade. I would go back though... beautiful hotel. Next time I will ask for a pool view and make sure all my people stay together.

About 2 hour wait behind one person in line to get checked in.

They allow people to cut the line.

Room types you requested months in advance they say they don't have. While you're waiting in line they are giving away your room types.

In our first room the shower did not drain. We were able to get a different room with functioning shower the next day.

Some rooms have a Jacuzzi tub on the terrace, which was nice. They take a long time to fill up, but worth the wait.

The resort itself was clean and our room was clean.

The food selections were decent. There was a buffet and four restaurants at this resort plus another restaurant next door. The four restaurants were not all open everyday. Some days only 2 restaurants were open, but the buffet was open every day.

No swim attire in the restaurants, but there was a grill by the beach where you can get you burgers, hot dogs, chicken, pasta and it doesn't matter what you wear. There was also 24hr room service with limited menu.

My favorite restaurant was the Mexican restaurant. Good, flavorful food.

The pools were clean.

One thing I didn't know until I got there was they treat the pools with chemicals around 6pm to clean them.

The pools closed at 6pm, which is early. They said the beach was 24hrs, but don't let security catch you out there in the evening. What sense does that make?

I found they did general cleanup of the beach around 6pm and people left the beach and pools around this time.

My trip was during September. It rained almost every day, but the showers were quick, maybe 15 minutes once a day and then the sun was out and everything was back to normal. The weather was perfect and we were able to lounge by the beach and pool each day without issue.

There are servers to bring drinks while you're by the beach, pool, and lobby.

My experience was that the servers would visit others around me and not come to take my drink order. It's hit or miss whether you will get good, attentive service.

The darker your skin, the poorer your service will be.

The resort was nice, a good value for the money.

The service was very poor...For me at least. The poor service put a damper on my overall experience and this will be my last trip to the DR.

The highlight for me was watching the sunrise from the beach.

If you are looking for peace, you are wrong. The whole day of several pages of sound, from which you only hear the roar of the bass. Even with the Mexicans, 82 db are pressed to the ears during a "cozy" meal. In Asians, the atmosphere of a fair is reached with three show chefs. The complex is very spacious and well maintained. The rooms big and the bathroom with jacuzzi, separate toilet and shower. The food was rich and very good. The staff are super friendly. Unfortunately, the buffet restaurant has the ambience of a concourse with the appropriate background noise. The Italian in the neighboring hotel but you can eat outside comfortably.

The hotel is great, there is a lot of atmosphere and the entertainers put on excellent productions. The food is very varied and available at any time. The water activities included in the hotel are varied and well organized. At the reception as always Eva super nice, she is a great professional, and works with great enthusiasm and respect for the guests. Regarding the excursions that are offered agenas to the hotel, the only company with which we were not satisfied since it is expensive and they did not comply with the agreement was the counters in the Larimar square next to the gift shop, a certain Gary attended us to go to Saona and despite the fact that we did not carry out the complete content of the excursion as it had been paid and agreed, nor the same conditions were completely disregarded. It is a pity that he does that since he sells it inside the hotel because it gives a very bad image, however we feel very supported by the hotel staff regarding this issue. Next time we will do it with the dive center as recommended.

Excellent Hotel! Rooms, food, attention, facilities, cleaning, shows. ..all of 10 ...

The resort and rooms are beautiful and well-kept. Staff is friendly and entertaining. Food and beverages are good! My only complaint is that around 6:30pm they fumigate the grounds for probably bugs, leaving a smelly smoke that lingers for only a couple minutes. While it doesn t last long and keeps the grounds nice, it s a horrible time of day to do as people are heading to dinner and likely still outside. I wouldn t want my family and small child breathing that in.

Went there for a week all inclusive and stayed on the Garden Side but played on the Larimar side. The room was rather small and the bathroom wasn t well set up. We enjoyed our time and upgraded to the preferred club. You can catch a golf cart between the 2 resorts and the wait time was usually under 5 minutes. Check in was painless but they give you an invitation card for a meeting the next day. Don t go to the meeting as it is for a time share. If any of the staff ask you about the meeting tell them you did it yesterday. The Spa is very nice and relaxing.

NOW LARIMAR is a very nice hotel very clean the garden was beautiful and the sea our room was well maintained and very nice clean ... The food was wonderful enough everything tasted good and the a la carte restaurants were all very good .. The vendors who came in the hotel in the evening were very intrusive ... everything else top ... 5 stars this hotel deserves ... would gladly come back <br/> .. ..

I will give this resort a 4 and its a nice place the staff extra polite. Its only 20-25 min from airport in Punta Cama. The only issue is that the beach is fare away and there is no shuttle to get there. And you can walk but its 15 min walk through another resort to get to it. And when you arrive at the beach oh my God its all brown and smells like a died in it. But that's because of the seaweed. The food was better than other resorts we have been 2. The room was the same as every other resort. There is a hot tub on the balcony but ours was not working. And there is mosquitos all over the place. But the most nasty habit is people smoking all over the place. There are a lot of Europeans there. And they nonstop . Other than that the place is worth visiting. I would recommend it. P.s they have you meet a timeshare person right after u check in and they give you a to pass you over to them.

Since I was at secret's preferred club Adult, I had the privilege of being able to go to all resorts areas and restaurants, incredible peoples, amazing attentions will recommend to any one.

Food was good but Locals and employees Tried to hustle you for more money. As soon as we got there the front desk tried to have us pay for a upgrade which was the room we originally paid for and stuck us in a far off room for one night until we complained enough and we got the right room for the other nights. Place was runned down for being two years old and mini bar was not good. Had to call every time to get restocked. Wouldn't go back..Probably not even back to Dominican even.

Nice resort that has good services..the staff is really very welcoming. There are cool pools, evening entertainment on a medium level even though the staff puts a lot of heart into it. A pool table on the spot, unlimited drinks that it is water or cocktails all is easily accessible. Nice room and comfortable bedding. Good sound insulation in the room even when it's party time in the disco room. The less good bridges are the restaurant food buffet and even some a la carte restaurants in the compound, which are certainly better but not really up to our expectations. The first for us was the French restaurant of a superior quality to all others. Then the Italian who presents a buffet for the extraordinary entries. In the last position the Asian restaurant without flavor and where we are obliged to eat the chrono and served with the slingshot. Second negative: the employees at the reception are trying to sell the most expensive activities without saying that there is a bus at the exit of the hotel that can drop tourists in nearby cities by paying a trifle of pesos instead of the taxi they invite to take at the price of a hundred dollars. So a tip: find out about all these activities before leaving and on site to avoid unpleasant surprises.

We spent 10 days in the hotel. We had a partial beachfront room on the 4th floor. We loved the hotel. Clean the entire hotel, clean the rooms twice a day. Super nice every employee. Meals are delicious in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. Free room service in 0-24. The beach is very nice, the grass is constantly cleaning. The only downside is that the sunbeds are not very comfortable. We felt very good.

We spent only 4 days in Now Larimar punta cana my partner and I, I wish we could have stayed longer, it was spectacular, very careful facilities and especially the service, spectacular, the workers of that resort are the ones that make it so special, really appreciate the attention To everyone, from the reception to the farewell, especially to Luis who showed us the room he accompanied us and explained everything wonderfully, to Gensi, the best waitress of the resort who accompanied us throughout the stay was responsible for not missing anything and always had a smile !! Martire a genius at the bar, and unfortunately I do not remember the names of entertainment partners but they are geniuses from first to last !! Thank you very much everyone for making our stay so special!

Bad service. We moved over to Secrets and its been all good ever since. The Now might be better if you are traveling with children or a big party group.

Alright resort compared to other Now properties. Dont get suckered into the UVC presentation unless you want to waste an entire day.

Nice, modern resort. Great layout with covered pathways protected from rain, 3 separate pools including one with a swim up bar, plaza style central square with shops and restaurants and a great beach with lots of shade. Rooms are large, with big balconies and very large bathrooms with separated toalet, shower and hot tub areas. Staff is friendly and trying hard. Good resort for kids. The entertainment is decent, but not exceptional.

The bad side of this resort is food. Buffet restaurant food is ok for breakfast, but lunch and dinner are really bad. The food is badly overcooked and lacks any kind of finesse. The meat looks as if it has been massacred and not butchered by a professional chef. The dinner in "ethnic" restaurants is slightly better, but staff is poorly trained and slow although they are trying hard.

These are the reasons:
Credit cards compromised four times among two family members during booking of this trip
2. My wife is still sick with a horrible diarrheal illness which has lasted 11 days so far.
3. Very difficult to get into the restaurants, turning people away when there were spots at the bar
4. Non-motorized water sports were very limited & filled up fast (only able to be booked the day of use)
5. Process of checking in very strange...multiple check in trying to sell you upgrades, special club privileges.

Wouldn't go there again.
