No internet for two days Most excursions are tedious and not very fun. Food is good but not great. Some of the dirtiest restrooms in existence. Many with no soap or running water.

Everything was great! The grounds are kept up perfect, the beach is cleaned several times a day to remove the seaweed, the beach is worth the trip! It is an older resort, so don't expect the rooms to be perfect, our safe didn't work when we got there, but they had maintenance there in a couple of minutes! The room brings is place down to 4 stars, the rest is a 5!

Very well. Clean hotel, very friendly staff and friendly even if it is not always to be understood. If you speak Spanish or English it's better. Small flat, they tend to put the air conditioning too strong.

My worst experience in a hotel. First there are many good comments about the service I spent 3 days in the hotel and all three days I was harassed by staff members, not at all a good experience. For that girl, I would lose the job; Those dresses get easy, did you come alone? Let's talk a chin. that was the kind of comments they made to people who paid for an inexpensive stay in a hotel, when they tried to report this kind of thing they did not pay much attention to you, and if they ask for security let me tell you that security cameras do not work One of my friends was robbed of her cell phone at the nightclub and the security managers are there for nothing, they just said that the cameras were damaged and they could not do anything. Definitely a very unpleasant place to go for a vacation.

Amazing time we had great service. Henry the bartender at the Lobby bar makes great drinks and tops them off with a great personality.

It is a super quiet hotel, for those who do not want too much partying. A few minutes walk from another nearby hotel or by train that runs every 5 minutes. The spectacular service, friendliness and efficiency go hand in hand. Also just a few minutes from the beach. Food and everything else from 10, we loved it !!

The resort is located in a large area and with beautiful views, it has an excellent infrastructure, but it cannot get out of mediocrity. Some employees even try hard, but most do not serve well. The restaurants do not have a quality standard, we ordered the same dish on different days and it ranged from great to totally bland. In addition, we had a safe broken into an apartment of our group where money was stolen. The hotel did not compensate for the loss. Unfortunate.

Exterior very beautiful, excellent service, mediocre room; mushroom in the shower, continual refrigerator noise, have to cry a lot to get water and towels. Not very clean.the room is worth a mini 3etoiles. Very disappointed to follow.

Edit: My expensive sunglasses were stolen from my room. absolutely not recommended.
The security people searched our room and said the next day "yes sorry we don't have a picture of the glasses so they weren't here". is not fit at all. It cost 150 euros!

Then the service outside of this action is the last snot. At the bars you sometimes have to wait 5 minutes even though nobody is there to be noticed.

only booked the hotel because, as a YouTuber, I very much welcome free WiFi and I need it for my work. However, free Wi-Fi means that you get "Internet" with which you sometimes cannot load videos or pictures. Even apps that hardly need the Internet constantly show network errors. You can just as easily kick the bin. even though our room has its own router. What is that?! If you want to go back to the year 1990, where the internet started, this is the place for you.

Dislikes: Incessant daily haggling to purchase items, do excursions, etc from staff (this was incredibly annoying). High pressure tactics to purchase a "timeshare". Undoubtedly the worst food I've experience at a resort...... ever.

My wife and I went here for our Anniversary. The staff here was fantastic. No matter where we were in the resort, the staff was always helpful and offer their services. This is one of the best resorts we've been to in DR.

Stayed in garden area and Rafaelina Gonzalez service was exceptional. We would sit on patio of our room and she would ask us what we would like.

We stayed at secrets next door but spent much of our time at the Now.Good food, beautiful hotel lots of good options for dinner. They have a small coffee shop which is a huge bonus.

As an all-inclusive complex, it has all the amenities you may need to have a good vacation. Personally, I was in the preferred category so I could opt for better spaces, bars and beach, as well as a more comfortable room.

The staff, in restaurants, pertie, bars, were great and very respectful, especially those who attended us with great dedication (Ronnie from prefered and Samuel our Concierge).

My only criticism is regarding the male entertainers (entertainment) of the hotel, as they are quite disrespectful to women. I had a very uncomfortable situation with one of them whom I should have called attention for without reason or confidence, taking me by the waist by surprise, being in a restaurant having dinner with my partner, who clearly did not like the situation either. I think it is something that they should discuss with them so that they can "locate" themselves.

The U-shaped Hotel Now Garden is usually quietly located about 600 meters from the much larger, livelier and louder Hotel Larimar. The beach is approx. 1000 m. There is a great garden area, in the middle of which is the small but nice pool area, 6 apartment blocks with sufficiently large rooms and an Italian restaurant, in the morning there is also a breakfast buffet, very friendly and helpful staff including the administration. There is a regular, free shuttle service to the evening events on the large square in Larimar, to the other restaurants, to the large pool area in Larimar, to the beach bars and to the beach. Those looking for plenty of entertainment at the pool / beach are in good hands at Larimar.
Unfortunately, z. Currently the 5 star rating for the hotel, because there are numerous weak points that you would not expect in a 5 star hotel.
Although the poorly soundproofed rooms are large enough, there is only a very spartan arrangement 1 or 2 beds, a large desk with an integrated fridge, 1 armchair, 2 wall-mounted bedside tables. In the room there is no small table, no second chair and no mural or the like. On the terrace there are 2 chairs and 1 small table and the jacuzzi, which is mostly not used because of the many mosquitos.
It was perceived as unpleasant that, due to the high humidity, the beds and private clothing got clammy despite the air conditioning system running and there was a musty, cellar-like smell in the room. The hotel management knows this problem and provides incense sticks, which often cannot be lit due to the moisture.
There will be increased noise pollution in all rooms with a garden view until further notice, because there is a large construction site about 50 m away in which a new hotel is being built.
The loungers that regular guests of Larimar and Now Garden on the beach can use are a real disaster. More than 60% are damaged or completely broken. The rest is worn out, so that the metal cross struts clog the back. These couches are harmful to health, all ready for bulky waste and the worst of all hotels nearby.
After our complaints, we were allowed to use the "Preferred Club" beach chairs, which are located in a restricted area of the hotel, free of charge!
The beach as such is beautiful, but it is very lively and noisy both from the country, loud music, and from the water, where tons of excursion boats, including party boats with the corresponding exhaust gases pass by. Those looking for rest and relaxation through tranquility are in the wrong place at Bavaro Beach!
The food including drinks in the various, including the "a la carte restaurants" was plentiful and extensive, but not 5 stars. There was a lack of quality and in particular many dishes, although already prepared, were only lukewarm. Unfortunately there was no way to reheat it using a microwave.
At night it can sometimes be windless, then a pungent smell of rubbish dumps over all the nearby hotels. This only disappears when the sea wind comes up again.

The majority of the guests speak English, so this is also the colloquial language in the hotel. If a guest speaks neither English nor Spanish, it is a little more difficult for him to make his wishes known in the hotel.

Summary:
I can only recommend the hotel to a limited extent from the above weaknesses.
It is a mystery to me how it got 5 stars.
However, through improvements there are still opportunities for more than 3 stars.

An experience from beyond, excellent hotel, beautiful views, with incredible attention. It has several restaurants with very rich international food, activities every night, very comfortable and beautiful rooms, all beautiful facilities and in perfect condition. If I went to Punta Cana again I would not think about it and would choose them once again. You are in a large hotel but with personalized attention. Super recommending ...

Super nice resort service. It is possible to order food and not only for the room in the price of the hotel. I definitely recommend it. The beach is wide. Nice sand on the beach. Nice for stupas. The cuisine is not like in Turkey with a flourish. But the fruit is wonderfully peeled. Service very nice not pushy always helpful. They will come 2-3 times during meals whether it's ok or you don't need something. They'll report in a minute what you wouldn't order from food to alcohol. Great beach. Pools like pools similar to everywhere in resorts. Rooms clean. I had a jacuzzi on the terrace. General I recommend.

The beach and pools were great along with the staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The food was not good though. My first all inclusive experience but if all you are looking for is mediocre fair with a great pool/beach scene, this place will be great for you.

Hotel needs updating big time! Pool and ocean way too far away from room I stayed in. Not for those who have trouble walking or are sickly.

Nice place but the service is not worthy of a 5 star. The buffet is very average. If it was to do again I will choose another club hotel. We are a little disappointed for a first experience when it's only 2 days since we arrived.

Basically we have been here 1 day and I am so disappointed. The trip to was ok delayed airline not resort fault.. but this preferred stuff is a joke... For $400 more for a couple you can then get a budweiser or name brand beer... if you go to a restaurant the preferred member will get seated when you do but then they will get their meal right away and you will wait about an hr. The front desk will try to sell you more stuff on top of what you already paid. The casino DOES NOT have poker or texas holdem like the employees try to tell you. The casino is very small. Not a big deal but seriously there should not even be a segragated section or preferred to everyone else...oh the bowling is ok but the pool tables are tiny not the real thing. Food is basic and I am so dissapointed when I paid 3k for our 1yr anniversary trip. There are a few nice things. Employees are nice and we got in our room and it was what I expected except the safe is broken and the mini fridge is not keeping drinks cool. Just overall not the Rui we went to last yr and I would probably never go back. The blue grill steak place is not great even though other reviews say otherwise. We will see what happens tomorrow when we talk to the front desk about our issues... so sad!!

We've got the best customer's experience from Fraudy who is tending to our needs on every meal. He remembers what we like to drink . How we take our coffee. Always greeting us with a smile.

Everyone is very nice and attentive. At the beach you never have to get up from your launger to get the drink. The waiters are always at your service.
The food at Now Larimar is very good with huge selection.
The rooms are very nice and clean. to the house keeping crew.
The layout of the resort is well designed . You can walk through on the raining days without getting wet.

They must improve the service a lot, since some of the staff is very friendly and empathetic, but others are not. On the other hand the variety of the food is pessimistic, always the same.

Really couldn't ask for more out of a vacation like this..great room, awesome some drinks, good food, excellent service, gurgeous weather..really no difference between the preferred side and regular side, same food and drinks and service...great wedding destination. ..wonderful stay...on site activites can always be negotiated, went parasailing, and banana boat riding...great stay, all hotel anementies were awesome, the French restaurant was really good, entertainment was great and looked forward to the shows on site..facilities excellently maintained. ..really nice..

Lovely place to vacation! The people who work here clearly love their jobs and are extremely hospitable. My favorite meal is the French restaurant! Get a couple entrees though because the portion is small. This was our first time abroad and would love to come back!

Arrived Saturday by Tuesday had food poisoning and ended up in hospital

If you have booked a stay at now larimar, dont forget to pack your clorox wipes with bleach. My husband and i took our first vacation in 5 years and stayed here with 12 other couples. All of us have stayed at multiple other resorts because we like to change it up. This was a terrible experience for us all. Upon our 1130 am arrival, our room wasnt ready until 330pm. We payed for Preferred. Our room was disgusting. Mold and mildew shower, running toilet(literally had to take the back off and push the rubber part down every flush), and overall musty smelling room. We complained three different times to different people, nothing was ever resolved. Being 10 weeks pregnant, it flew all over me that no one would ever do anything. But then again 99 percent of the staff doesnt understand a freakin word of english. We went without wash clothes for 3 days. After we complained, we came up to our room, and found some thrown ON THE FLOOR. The beds, were two queen mattress pushed together, with 3 sheets tucked in. My only thoughts are WTF. We would have been fine with one king bed. Our view was roof tops with tarps pulled over them, on a busy road used by staff. Constant scooters and truck traffic all day long. One evening we went for dinner at the buffet. We were greeted with attitude. If i wanted some attitude, i could stay in America and get it for free. The food is bland and most of the time inedible. For 7 days i pretty much survived on build your pasta and hash browns. All the drinks never tasted the same, and the water always had things floating in it. The bluewater grill or whatever it was called smelt so bad one evening we all ended up sick. Not sure if it was sewage or not.They show they have bowling?! We had to pay 38 dollars for one round!! I was shocked that spending thousands of dollars for our stay, paying for the preferred, and any chance they got they tried to get more money from you. While sitting by the preferred pool we still had men coming up to us every hour trying to get us to go on excursions. And sitting on the "preferred beach" you better be prepared to never get a chance to relax, ever. Someone will be trying to sell you things non stop even when your eyes are closed. After our group went to management to do a massive complaint, they gave us a beach cabana for one day. Afterwards, tried to get us to sign a paper saying we have been compensated above and beyond, and that we were waiving our right to file complaints against the resort. Needless to say, that paper was not signed. I am advising apple vacations of our terrible experience in hopes to save people the dissapointed.

We stayed at the Now Larimar in Punta Cana for our honeymoon a few years ago. The marriage, sadly, has not lasted but my memories of the hotel are still fantastic. We got upgraded for free due to it being our honeymoon, something we were very appreciative of. Plenty of choice of restaurants - some better than others. Fantastic staff at the restaurant, bars and hotels, really friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back.

First time great experience very friendly staff always ready to help great buffet at the carnival and the other. Venues but have to make reservations also great food can't say enough about the staff ten stars you won't be disappointed. Like I said it was our first time we were very impressed

The resort is immaculate, very clean. The preferred master suite is AMAZING. Room service was good and quick. The food in the restaurants was delicious also. What I didnt like was the typical pushy sales pitch when we checked in. We didn't go to the "breakfast" the day after arrival to hear about the other properties and I felt as if they were a but rude about it. There were tons of hustlers on the beach, so we only went 1 time.
