My best friend and I stayed here for a wedding during halloween. Lots of halloween themed events took place.
The resort was so clean and accommodating. The staff really paid attention to detail and was very helpful.

Went to Capers Restaurant. Very good food and staff. Stayed at the Now Larimar, not Now Garden.
I really was in the secrets royal beach that are together and belong to the same hotel condominium let's say, very good place to spend a vacation, much to my regret I can not speak the same of the country, disorder and extreme poverty, hotels monopolize the entire tourist business It is a pity that they do not get involved in the improvement of the country and the conditions of the staff of the hotels, wonderful people indeed.
It was nice and personnel was attentive. Food was kind of off.
Best Vacation ever, the only complaint is there were some people selling a vacation club that wasted our time, I kept asking for the price but it literally took 2 hours to bottom line it and it wasn t for me.
Very clean resort beautiful grounds, a la cart restaurant food very good but line ups ridiculous long due to closing 2 out of the 4 every other day. Food in buffet reaptative , same food every day, NO shrimp or lobster to be found anywhere unless you paid extra. At Japanese grill we got 2 pieces of fish the size of a quarter with 1 - 1" shrimp. Food was very good and the staff went above and beyond to try to cater to everyone, but very cheap on food. Entertainment staff I take my hat off to them. These people ( mostly young adults) worked all day by the poolside and beach and then performed the evening shows and then continue to dance the night away in the disco till 1 - 2 AM and then do it all over again with a smile and high energy.
Would I go back.....no....is this truly a 4.5 - 5 star resort NO. Is it the worst resort that I have been to No, is it the best No. We have traveled many times to Dominican republic 13 to be exact and well aware of many of the resorts thru out the Dominican. Unless you get a good deal or don't mind eating the same food every day you might enjoy it.

Too bad we can't eat outside at the now larimar in the garden, it's possible but otherwise the infrastructure is magnificent and the gardens splendid
Sometimes small boring mosquitoes in the gardens take your products and adapters for a wide variety of food and good specialties
Overall good. If we returned to Punta Cana, we would repeat the hotel.
We stayed 12 nights in the now garden, which is the larimar's little brother and they are stuck. Both share facilities and services, but the garden is smaller and therefore less crowded, but it is not on the seafront (it is 5 minutes of a beautiful walk or you can take internal transport but the walk is worth it).
THE perfect BEACH, there was almost no seaweed and those that arrived are collected continuously with a machine. It is one of the cleanest stretches of beach in the area. Other areas of other hotels are horrible. Too many sellers, in the end they overwhelm a lot, a lot. Good service on the sunbeds (thanks especially to Erika and Ranfelix).
RESTAURANTS in general are good, to say the least too much fuss in the Asian due to the spectacle of the employees, it breaks the atmosphere quite a bit. The buffet is not bad but it ends up tiring. The breakfasts in the garden good and it has a terrace overlooking the garden "excellent" (the employees always respond with an "excellent").
THE ROOM overlooking the garden is good, spacious, clean, bright, good terrace with a hot tub. The bad thing about the room, uncomfortable access doors to the bathroom, interior humidity, the hydromassage on the terrace is turned on or off from the automatic box that is inside the closet that is inside the bathroom (it is absurdly uncomfortable). Very nice views of a jungle area, (other rooms faced a neighboring work). At night, the noise of the music from the larimar disco first, and from the water treatment plant later is annoying.
POOLS is generally very good. Good lounger and pool service.
ANIMATION ... They organize a lot of activities continuously. Night shows, some better than others. The employees give atmosphere, but if you are not very like that (as is our case, we were looking for tranquility in a beautiful place), at times, it can be a bit uncomfortable.
ACTIVITIES ... Anything, activity, service, that goes beyond the all-inclusive, prepares the checkbook ... They take your eyes out with anything, even after haggling (you will get tired of negotiating for everything, and still being very expensive). It is continuous looting.
THE BEST: The hotel facilities (landscaping included), and the beach. There is a good quality price relation.
THE WORST: the vendors (both hotel and beach) ... It is a constant harassment. Exorbitant price of everything that is not included the "all inclusive".
Several things to improve, but when they have human talents like Wilton and Carolina working in the restaurant (Capers, Trattoria, Windows International) the stay is more pleasant.
They are very attentive and helpful !!
In my last experience, I have seen that the local tourist is treated very badly, I have witnessed an outrage to the integrity of a guest, for having a soda and a can of beer in his luggage.

Didn't have a good experience, room was wrong-not what I paid for, food was not good, The DJin the club played the same songs in the same order 3 nights in A row plus I saw bugs in the room. Gift shop needs to be 24hrs. I've stayed at NOW onyx earlier in the summer and had a much better experience. The live entertainment was good, I'll give two stars for that and staff was decent.
It took them three hours to check us in, Food was okay but sushi was SO bad. I found a worm in my salad, I showed it to the buffet manager, he asked my room number, and of course nothing happened afterwards. Anyway, rooms were clean and activity people were nice. In general, it s my last time, going there.

I can not put a niggle. It has been the journey of our lives, the friendliness of the staff, the facilities, the food, the bed, the luxury beach. I can only put one hit. I was only a week and I did not want to leave.
Service was horrible rooms was double booked and they did minimal to fix it bed are also very uncomfortable
