Paypal is committing FRAUD and STEALING people's money. I had 2 unauthorized transactions and they stated they would not refund me my stolen money because they did not feel their system was hacked. They are reusing to give me my money back and are profiting off the fees they get from the transaction They are stealing my money.
I have been trying to setup a Paypal account for two weeks. Have spoken with numerous Paypal representatives, provided all of the proper documentation they requested, yet still the account is not setup. Completely incompetent morons.
Absolutely bar none, one of the WORST companies ever. As soon as my account gets sorted out (if that can ever happen), I will close it permanently so I NEVER have to deal with PayPal again. They allow fraudulent companies from China to represent false items for sale.Tripple charge their customers, not follow their own policy that s states if seller or a business sends a item that is not as discribed or completely different you receive a full refund. Well I ordered toilet paper 3 tripple play made by quilted northern a Costco company. The seller took the money right away from a wrong account. They then cancelled my order. Never gave me a refund. I reached out to them a month and a half later because they never sent anything or refunded my money. I told them I wanted a refund and they went ahead and then sent me dollar tree toilet paper one play and triple charged me $80 and some change. This was sent to me from Brooklyn New York. Now reaching back to PayPal and telling them that they sent me the wrong items to get a refund they want me to send all the toilet paper back to China to a science technology research lab which is gonna cost $50 for me to send just to get a refund. Due to the COVID-19 situation there s nobody in the office so I can talk to to resolve this in the resolution center is not helping me it s only telling me to give a tracking number if I wanna refund this is completely ridiculous and I m reporting this to the Better Business Bureau. You are allowing companies to sell and be fraudulent you can t represent an item and sell me something completely different that is called fraud. However they do have the billing center calling me twice a day asking where this $80 is but I can t talk to a manager to resolve it I will never be using PayPal after this I hope that you figure it out with China PayPal because I m not paying you $80 and I m never using PayPal again because of this. I have experience as a buyer and seller. As a buyer it seems you can do secure transaction but you need to go to great lengths to get your money back. As a seller it really is worse as it can get. Like a dictator they change the status of transactions and you must do a lot of work to get your money. On top of that they grab a 3 percent transaction fee without doing much. And all the time they come with BS stories that they provide a secure payment environment. But it is only secure for paypal. I think some agency need to investigate this company.

Unreal. Small business owner. I used them to allow a customer to pay with a card. They re now holding my money for 21 days... when talking with customer service they threaten me with knowing my personal information... when i asked what does that mean, i was told to use my imagination... after reviewing bbb complaints i noticed a lot of them have been about stolen money from their accounts. Something fishy is going on. The customer service i got was unreal to hear from such a well known company. Im talking with my state gov tomorrow. I will be sure to let him know. As well let him listen to the call i recorded....

Do NOT use paypal. They will always stand by a scammer and they will NEVER protect the buyer. Read the reviews, there are thousands of them. Getting in contact with someone from paypal? Ha. Good luck. They have no idea how to provide ANY customer satisfaction and they will literally avoid emails, calls, messages, etc. I have reported this company to the BBB for failure to provide for the buyer/client. I have also reported this to news stations as well. If I were you, I would unistall Paypal and maybe use a different app/site.
Shady!!! I have a screen shot showing I had until December 28th to provide proof an item was delivered and then they closed the case on the 14th and refunded the money to the buyer. The tracking says the item is in transit to it's destination. They have no phone number to call to report the snotty attitude of Michele for her poor customer service and literally saying I would have refunded you half of the amount but wnt now because you have cut me off during our conversations. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. WILL be adding the case history to all of my social media and at my business meetings so everyone knows the shady and snotty treatment sellers receive. If you are a seller do NOT use paypal. I will make it a mission to tell everyone I know how horrible and shady this company and it's employee's are. I have been with them for 4 years!!!! Have not had any cases opened against me in the last 6 months and the treatment I have gotten is pathetic.
Error on there website when i tryed to respond to a claim and it just took the money and refunded the buyer, Spent over 8 hours total trying to resolve my issue and almost 4 hours of hold time worst company, They can not protect there sellers and will not even help when there was a error on there end i will not recommend anyone to use this service everyone is better off just using something else that actually protects the buyer and seller both.
unable to login to my account. they no longer have phone service. when i try to message paypal i have to sign in.. ... stuck in a loop. much like how paypal failed to repay my buyer on ebay. despite it reflecting as such on the paypal website
terrible customer exprience, you pretty much need to send in tissue samples to prove your identity and then it will still take a few weeks to process, i closed my account because it's just not worth the headaches

Paypal is heading towards a corporate fraud practices. They have my money at their disposal and they don't want to release my fund for just NO REASON. I bought some merchandise on E-bay 10 days ago. I couldn't get into PayPal (again), so I paid with my credit card. The vendor promised 3 day delivery. I was charged immediately, but no product. I looked at Ebay's site, and there is no sign of payment history, or account activity. I'd forgotten this happened last time as well. Never again. This time, I'm going to my credit union, and having them reverse the charges. Thieves.

PayPal is hoarding social security numbers and bank account info they limited my account so I can't delete my account or anything info attached to it. However I'm not aloud to send or receive payment or use any service from PayPal. I am basically no longer a member of PayPal yet they refuse to delete my account or social security number or banking info. Even tho the privacy act of 2011 clearly states unless you are the federal government it is against the law to keep a social security number on file once it's been requested to be removed. If PayPal gets hacked my identity is gone. Never use PayPal they are terrible and breaking laws.

People who work for Paypal must be just as miserable as this company. They hold your money for 6 months or more, or you may never get your money back. They make up reasons such as your identity is unverified or suspicious activity on your account, or anything else to continue to hold your funds, because they are earning interests on your money, and the longer they hold your funds, the more interests they earn for their shareholders. It is a big scam operation, and the CA Attorney General needs to be aware of this Corrupt Company and Cease and Diciest their Operations World Wide. Paypal has destroyed businesses and personal lives due to their fraudulent and ridiculous policies. The Federal Trade Commission and the California State Attorney Office should have shut these Crooks down years ago. I have lost thousands of dollars dealing with Paypal. this is a great concept but My experience with this bank has been turning into a nightmare. I bought one of the prepaid cards from 711 and they told me that my account net spend information had been compromised about 8 years ago and they had to hold onto my money for another week to investigate. There have also been numerous transactions that I had to dispute. It took me a whole week to track them down and dispute them. Now we are at the mercy of call centers in Asia and have to give people in the 3rd world all our private information. Be very careful with this website. This site will make immense profits for shareholders because of its lenient policies, they don't even verify some of their customers but lots of people will suffer from identity theft.

Every representative I have contacted has been courteous, professional and easy to communicate with. They work efficiently, helping to solve any problem I have encountered. These problems have usually been caused by me. But when a vendor or a company treated me unfairly PayPal has always honored their A to Z Money Back Guarantee. That's how I prefer to do business online! The show, 60 Minutes, did an episode about PayPal and its security not long ago. When I watched 60 Minutes that day... That was the moment I knew that I could trust PayPal to protect my money. It was also the same year that I had become a victim of identity theft. I'm sticking with PayPal! Thank you, PayPal, for all you have done to protect me.

The paypal call centers are a ridiculous stuff with people who almost make fun of you. In Italy then where the management of the card in fact is done by Lottomatica is really worth it. A week to have 100 on which paypal retains 3.75 and for the services that are practically money that we give him. I collect the money and then finish.
I have been a member for many years as a seller on EBay. Took a break a few years and when I went back online in 2015 PP had become so big they forgot the small business owners who got them to the top. Now the seller as well as buyer will equally be treated with complete disrespect! This weekend I was telling a friend that he needed a PP account for his growing online shop. I warned him of their attempts to pass the buck when mistakes are made and be ready to fight over the lack of human qualities from the better than you staff. I was left looking like an idiot when on his first transaction they yanked the $2500 credit line they solicited him into at sign up. Its been 4 days of excuses and finger pointing hours wasted on the phone and no closer to a resolution to his problem. I went to bat for him yesterday and logged into my acct this morning to find I was no longer certified as a seller that PP stood behind. My acct in good standing with bank card and bank to back me up I was the same 100% rating seller I was before I took on the huge non-bank money exchange. You will pay for asking too many questions. I see bait and switch as well as illegal enterprise going on at PP and that's something we should all be worried about!
The worst customer services ever. I used to be a loyal customer and everywhere I could I used PayPal to pay for online purchases. Thought it is safe and a good option to protect my CC card, What hidden behind their customer services changed my mind. I purchased a water proof ipod from a seller(who described it as water proof), opened up a dispute due to iPod stopped working within 2 weeks due to water damage. Received a partial refund offer which I declined and as a result PayPal decided that the product is as described(wrong no 1). OK, so I appealed for a refund as I already sent the product to the seller and I have no money or product, Paypal requested the tracking no that I don't have anymore. I asked them to look at the partial refund details as the seller stated there that he received only the iPod(which means he got it back) - but like robots reading from scripts they requested the tracking number(wrong no 2).
In other words the seller is the king and he gets money for free, and I as a customer gets to be robed and PayPal are helping the robber. So now it's time for me to tell my story about them everywhere online.

As a small business owner, PAYPAL Makes my transaction easier and is still secure. I don't know why someone would not want to use PAYPAL and make thing easier with transaction / credit cards / sales and if you need help they are just a phone call away if you need help.
Like any monopoly, no way around using pp for normal ebay commerce. 14 years with them, 3 serious problems THEY caused, probably 150 less serious headaches. Hopefully breaking off ebay will give them new focus on cust service, (I won't hold my breath). It costs so much to sell inexpensive items that it's not worth it to me anymore. I just buy on eBay.
After some scammers bought some items from us on eBay, they reported items not received to get reimbursement for free stuff. Then the scammers reported on eBay which got our seller performance rating low. Now paypal has withheld all our money/funds and we can't have any access to them. We need our money back and still they won't release our funds.

I have had a total $1,592.12 taken out of my account for no reason specified. When I called the people they said that they were not going to help. Then my account went into a $865.32 negative balance with a company i never heard of. They said in order for me to continue using PayPal i needed to verify the company info that was just added to my account. HELLOOOO, i can't verify the account because it's not mine.

PayPal is more than shady. They label any large amount an E-check, then hold the funds for 3 to 5 business days. They electronically process the entire transaction, then hold the funds under the old paper check guidelines. They verified that they had my money, but could not tell me when they would release it to my account. MAYBE TODAY, THURSDAY. MAYBE ON MONDAY. This has to be ILLEGAL. Will never take a PayPal payment again.

I had a business on eBay with over a 98% positive rating with well over 100 reviews Every month. Pay pal single handedly destroyed my whole business in less than 2 hours which is the time it took me on hold to speak with someone for less than one minute. I had a verified pay pal and had been using it everyday for months. Due to 3 disputes on ebay which eventually got cleared up and were not even my fault in the first place (I had shipped items and USPS took longer to deliver during COVID) they closed my account. Representative was very rude, I was given no warning and they sent me a letter AFTER I got off the phone with them tho they said they had already sent it they did not. They closed my account and now have my funds (which by the way the items they are holding funds for have already been delivered) 180 days... I cant believe how rude they were. DO NOT USE PAY PAL AND ALL MY FAMILY WILL BE DELETING THEIR PAYPALS!! THEY RUINED MY LEGITIMATE BUSINESS!!!!
Generally PayPal works decently well, but all their security measures they have in place is making it tough to do business. It takes a million steps to just buy something on ebay. They really need to simplify the process.
Horrible dispute resolution decision. They protect a lying seller who is already costing me close to $2000, a short summary: - Mar 13, I bought a car turbo from a seller with 2 year warranty - Apr 1, turbo breaks down, I contacted the seller immediately, seller said that they are sending parts in 1-2 days. There are 3 listed phone numbers for the seller, 1 is disconnected, 2 are never answered. - Apr 10, no parts received, seller now says they are sent, I asked 3 times for the tracking number and I do not get anything, no answered phone calls - Apr 15, still nothing from the seller, they keep promising, no answered phone calls - Apr 20, still nothing, daily emails, they keep promising, no answered phone calls - Apr 28, I file a dispute with PayPal - May 14th, PayPal demanded that I file a report with FBI for them to do anything, I do as they want - May 18th, PayPal decides that I am right and I have to return the item by May 28th. I immediately tell them that I can do this by Jun 4th as the turbo removal costs ~$1000 and several days. - June 3rd, I see that the dispute is closed in the SELLER's favor! I start reopening the claim, they close it every time and they refuse to do anything else thus protecting a lying seller, and lying about their 180 day buyer protection
I will stop using PayPal and all their companies (e.g. Venmo), I am absolutely disgusted with them. (FYI eBay has only 30 day protection so they are useless as well, and my bank has 60 days which has passed due to PayPal's horrible dispute process) and I will actively tell all my friends, clients, partners about not using PayPal ever.
I have an extremely nasty treatment from one of call agents. She said "I don't understand you at all!" Even she has very thick accent, I could understand what's she talking about. Why on earth she did not understand me at all and hang off while talking something to her! If she were an accent correct teacher, I might understand her. They support Scammers. I bought something on a website in which they use Paypal to collect the funds. Kinastee.com was found to be a known scam site which takes funds through Paypal and gives fake Tracking numbers. If you file a Dispute through Paypal they side with the Scammer cause they provided a fake Tracking number. It takes days on the phone waiting on hold to try to resolve this issue and Paypal does not work with you at all. Don't support Paypal as they fund Scammers and don't protect your funds.

I have tried to get a US representative at least 15 times I can t understand anybody on the phone and nothing gets fixed. It keeps saying that my account does not have the right expiration date I put this in every time I make a purchase. And cannot get to the United States to talk to somebody that speaks English which is my only language and I cannot understand the other people on the phone so I canceled my account. And of course they have no means of transferring your call to the US so Pay Pal I am done with you

Recieved a gift card from my husband for mother's day....for themes and watch faces on my phone. I had about $4.00 left on there, went to buy a watch face for $1.52.... kept declining??? Why?? Called the # on the back of the card, says there is a negative balance....how can there be a negative balance on a gift card??!! Can't get ahold of anyone! Isn't the 1st time paypal has screwed up with me, charged me for a phone I NEVER ordered, was arguing on the phone with me! Don't like them!
Terrible customer service they do not let you know everything up front they tell you as they go charge you a bunch of money just for holding on to your money and take no responsibility for anything I have only sold two items that have been paid for through PayPal and both times I have had to deal with issues for many phone calls and talk to supervisors just to get my money released to me after being charged several large fees be careful dealing with these companies as they will not tell you up front what you need to do or how things need to be set up in order to avoid extra fees. The type of fees that do not include you have in your bank account attached but having your bank card instead will cost you an additional 3% of your money total sale including shipping you know shipping the part of the money you don't get yeah eBay and PayPal both charge you a percentage of that cost that you pay out of your pocket and a bank card is not the same as a bank account so they get you for an additional fee if your bank card is linked but not your bank account don't bother to mention these things also will hold your money for an additional 24 to 48 hours just because of another Pleasant thing they do not bother to tell you then when your money has been released by eBay and you have been reassured that your money has been released they are on the phone with eBay telling them in person the money is released on my end and still refuse to do anything about it and argue with eBay telling eBay you haven't released the money yet so I can't release it to my customer and continue this conversation with me on the phone back and forth for 15 minutes repeating themselves over and over again until finally a supervisor gets involved and they release my money and then charge me an additional fee and hold my money for an additional time because only my bank card is connected to you my PayPal account and not my personal bank account information hopefully this will help you understand how crooked an unhelpful PayPal honestly is they are obnoxious with their behavior in customer service they take no responsibility of taking care of the customer and blame everything on every other person as far as they're concerned they have no responsibility for anything and if it is their responsibility somehow it's still not their fault LOL GOOD LUCK getting your money in a timely fashion and not being charged extra fees without being told about it up front
PayPal has to be the most INCOMPETENT organization that I have dealt with besides ComCast. The customer service is horrific, in which they contract out in India ,and they have not helped me at all to access my account with a LEGITIMATE verification method.

OMG moment, followed by regret and shame -- for I should have known to avoid using PayPal pre-paid cards! Last week in March I added $20 to their Mastercard. Total cost was $23.95 to load on the $20. (I don't trust the public WiFi in my building, so i'll only use a low risk card to purchase online) Anyway, after loading $20 onto the card, immediately PayPal took $5 for processing (CVS took $3.95 for loading). I (DOH!) delayed in making the online purchase I'd intended, just being lazy. But three days later, on the first of April, PayPal took another $5. SO -- my $23.95 spent one week ago is now worth $10. I basically gave away $13.95 over 4 days of processing fees... Bottom line - avoid using PayPal's Prepaid MasterCard, unless you've got money to throw away, and who does these days? Sign me - a disgruntled customer
After working with Paypal for years, a person would think that all the verification and confirmations would lighten up but no! Every single day, I find myself sitting in front of my PC laptop, wondering what paypal is going to ask of me next. First it was a constant harrasment about my mobile phone number text message confirmations, but after a while, it added to its annoying list a home phone, bank card, another banking question, mobile phone, address, a phone call every now and then. God forbid I dont answer my phone, I will have my account deactivated. Like what the hell do you think you're doing by continuously reconfirming my personal info if it wasn't to use that information to sell it to 3rd parties. Weird enough is that I moved and signed up to no other services but Paypal with my new address and of course, my mail is overflown with ads and weird paypal like services which are direct affiliates of Paypal after researching the companies backgrounds. Paypal is in the business of selling personal information and they need to be stopped. Confirming information once a month is not a bad idea, but every single day! Come on! Let me take care of my business and family instead of always stressing over what I need to confirm next.

He takes action, with his ececutive staff, to make a great working environment, amd to help us with our financial well-being for our families. I also have had 2 fantastic Managers here. PAY PAY IS UNSAFE. THEY HAVE BEEN DUPED BY SCAMMERS WHOM PROVIDE FAKE INFORMATION INCLUDING TRACKING NUMBERS. BE SAFE, FIND ANOTHER AVENUE TO MAKE PURCHASES. They are currently hiding behind the Covid19 scare to keep their customer service department closed. Wow these people are cold hearted had a medical condition in october of 2015 which made me not abel to do ebay and I had a 0 balance then why I was sick someone made a claim on my paypal for around 370.00 and they paid them because I did not respond well I could not well I called paypal and ask if they could activate my account so I could pay them by selling on ebay and the first 370.00 I made would pay them back then some 30 year old collections guy named Matt said they could not do anything for me you would think they would do that so they get paid was on the phone with him for 36 min and still all I got is our policy is they cannot do anything for me so people do not get sick when useing paypal they do not care about there customers
They hit your PayPal account with the purchase charge of the item you buy then they hit your checking account through your card with a less then $0.10 charge. Then when you're at home in another state you are also in San Jose Ca Walmart taking out money. They use the little charge to test to see it it goes through to clone your card then they hit your checking account through a clone of your card with a larger amount. So check your PayPal account and your checking account everyday with purchases and pay attention to the seller being paid out of your accounts. YOU BUY FROM OUTSIDE THE USA THEN THEY HI YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT WITH A SMALL PAYPAL FEE THAT DOES NOT SHOW UP IN YOUR PAYPAL CHARGES BUT IT SHOWS UP IN YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT & THEN NEXT THING YOU'RE IN SAN JOSE CA WALMART TAKING OUT MONEY WHILE YOU'RE IN ANOTHER STATE. I CHECKED MY CREDIT REPORT AND I'M NOW GOING THROUGH IDENTITY THEFT. MY INFO IS BEING CHANGED TO FALSE INFO. NOT SECURE!!! READ THEIR PRIVACY POLICY TERMS TOTALLY AS THEY MAYBE ABLE TO SELL YOUR PERSONAL DATA. BE CAREFUL. YOU PEOPLE SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED !!!!!! YOU THIEVES !!!!!
IMHO PayPal is riding dirty, calling California's AG ..because "To ignore evil is to become part of it" (MLK). Chase refunded the small charge, but it is about principle. PayPal treated my daughter-in-law unfairly...I let that go..this time they will be held accountable... CA AG will be called.
One of the worst companies ever. They are straight up stealing from sellers with non-refundable fees because ebay is going to drop them. Can't wait for Paypal to crash and burn. Whoever came up with this robbery plot should burn in hell.
