Negative 5 stars, they do not deserve 1 star. This office of PayPal holds the license for Arizona and is only considered a Money Transmitter. They hold your money illegally to gain interest off you and do not tell you what the hold is for. They blame a compliance company for everything and will not give you a number to communicate with them. Avoid PayPal and there horrible customer service, they need more lawsuits against them and maybe they will change their corrupt non American business practices or hopefully be replaced by a better institution.

I ve had more issues with PayPal then any other cash app. It s no secure, they don t refund you, they talk to you like your an idiot and to make matters worse when you ask for a supervisor they have the audacity to tell you NOT TO GET YOUR HOPES UP!! So let me know how the hell I can get my money!! Or I ll GLADLY walk into the corporate office and wait all day until someone can tell me why the customer support is TRASH! GIVE ME MY MONEY

I started selling on eBay a little over a month ag...

I started selling on eBay a little over a month ago, rare books mainly. Two nights ago an eBay customer bought some deluxe editions that were costly. What does PayPal do? They limit my account to where I can not touch my money - demand intrusive information, like my state drivers license - even though my account is verified through my bank. On top of this, they will not respond to messages in their so-called "Help Center" and won't respond to phone calls, just leaving you waiting and waiting for a representative no matter when or how many times you call.

I contacted eBay and they even released every hold on my order payments from eBay customers, noting how good a job I have done, with no negative feedback and returning customers.

This is a warning to all of you would be on-line sellers - beware of PayPal and how they will limit your account if you all the sudden have several sales or anything they deem "suspicious". They state it'll be 5 business days while they review your account. Look at PayPal's average rating - that's for a reason.

PayPal has no respect for their customers and show it blatantly. Be warned!

Paypal is a great service until you run into a problem and at that point the train runs off the tracks. Unlike most credit card companies where a simple call will resolve the issue Paypal makes you run through a guantlet of steps. The website is useless and the phone support by poorly trained overseas sales reps who do not have the ability to go off script and think through issues are equally useless. Paypal is a rich company. It has the resources to make the online process more seamless and hire US based phone support but in their case it seems to be squeezing maximum profit at the expense of the consumer.

I just spent one and a half hours trying to straighten out 3 errors paypal made on my account.. what I accomplished was a letter from a paypal customer service rep blaming me and everyone else for the problems... all I was able to get from the rep was a first name... there is no accountability with paypal ..no audit trails.. not regulated like a bank.. .. I've been a customer for 19 years I've heard the stories paypal does whatever they want... Well believe the stories... time to find a new way...

If you want support, even about sensitive financial accounts you must deal with people in foreign countries with NO ability to speak with an American. Not a fan and have disabled my accounts after 20 years! I think the way to make America great again is to hold American Companies to a standard that includes being about to deal with an American. Paypal transferred my money into the incorrect bank account and after 5 phone calls they still insist that they did not make a mistake. Each of the 5 people I spoke to assured me they were taking care of it and a month later it is still not corrected. My bank rejected the money and 12 days later Paypal has yet to put it back in my account. I will be cancelling this service as soon as I retrieve my money. Their customer service reps are non-committal and disinterested in my problem.

This is a horrible company I can see why their ratings are so low here not like it really does anything. So I sell something to someone and they use PayPal to rip me off for payment, PayPal then screws me with no lube by holding the funds for 21 days all for the sake of buyers protection. Ok but what about the people who are on a fixed income and can't afford the shipping the customer paid for out of pocket? What I am shipping is heavy and will take over 25 % of my money to ship.

I noticed the fraud and put a stop pay on all payments but two of them already posted to my bank account in the total of $1904.79. Made a case through paypal, a few days later received a notification from paypal that seller provided a tracking number, which was fake. But they agreed with him, one day later after the case was solved, the seller shutdown the website, which confirmed what I was telling them, that this was a total scam. Tracking number never found through the supposedly used third party shipment Pitney Bowes website. Seller made a whole fake tracking number, dont ask me how that seems to be real for USPS, even delivered to my address, but the tracking number never existed on the 3rd party tracking system. Seems that this seller has somebody inside the USPS, or probably himself works there that allow him to make this kind of scams.

It's hugely frustrating & virtually impossible to retrieve the money which people owe you. You go to a link called, "Transfer Money" and it is unbelievably difficult to use. What should be elegant to use, to get money owed to you, is instead a huge chore. Many industry analysts believe this is DELIBERATE by PayPal, to hold onto YOUR money as long as possible, so PayPal can make THE VERY MOST INTEREST on your delayed payments AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.

I recently made an account with PayPal for business purposes and within a few days of having it they permanently limited my account. It states that they have limited in my account Due to potential high-risk. Without warning I now have no access to my money and my customers Which used their company corporate card to pay me, now have freezes on their accounts as well. These customers of mine do not have paypal accounts. They are now having to question me why they can t use their company cards after using it with me. I just started with my business within the last week and a half ago (2/12/19 todays date) and This situation is making me AND my business look very bad. Because of paypal, i had lost that account which was people that works for the state of california. Thats not the way i need my things to be running. I ve turned in any documents that Paypal asked for and tried multiple times trying to contact them to help resolve any issues but are unwilling to consider anything. So now i m being impacted financially and credibility with current or future customers.

I am currently using something called gethuman which is trying to get a live rep for me while i wait... its already been more than an hour even though the wait times say 21 min. But like this will do me any justice.

I had gotten my money after the 180 day hold. BECAUSE IT WAS OBVIOUSLY LEGIT. Yet paypal still has a permanent limitation on the account. paypal makes attempting to reconcile financial claims extremely difficult especially through ebay (and they were one and the same) Their record keeping retentions are different and subject to exploitation (which I will not go into here ) to the detriment of the honest consumer. Most disconcertingly is they do not want to listen to the problem and make relavent contact almost impossible .Try calling them or finding a relavent email address. Their different policies to ebay regarding disputes are a black hole that they do not want to address (despite being the same company formerley) Any advantage that paypal offered is being rapidly negated. When requesting a supervisor I was placed on hold then hung up on. When calling the San Jose office my call was reverted back to the Philippines and the process repeated. This is a wear u down process which is designed for the purpose to hold on to funds for as long as they can. Western Union or Money Gram is much more convenient.

After 13yrs I am closing my paypal account. I am a small time buyer and mostly use it when I am stuck in bed (I am disabled) and cannot get my credit card. In the early days of paypal, they had wonderful, helpful, happy people working for them. Each time I had a problem or question, I was met with a helpful resolution. Seems, like I have a problem with each order now. When I call, it is always untrained people giving me unhelpful non-solutions. I then have to go to a supervisor and then another supervisor. I am met with rude, nasty and condescending remarks about how this is not paypals problem or fault and that will not do anything about it. My problems are 85% paypal,5% user and 10% seller. This frustration ends for me today and I have already closed my account for good. If you are a buyer, you really do not need paypal any longer, like in the early days of the internet.

I don t know this web before and front agent promised me a lot. 3 months are gone, nothing came to me. So I asked the remaining $450 back. PayPal let me explain what s going on:
First: many people were victim of online fraud
Then: we all filed a claim with PayPal about the fraud
Then: PayPal denied claim stating item was delivered
Then: I contact UPS and they state that item was delivered, but not to my address, to a different address to a different person.
Then UPS tell me that PayPal should call them and they will confirm this.
Then I google to check the online company who is creating this fraud, to find over a dozen websites noting this online company as fraud
Then: I let PayPal know these facts and they DENY my claim, stating that the item was delivered, blatantly ignoring my facts of initial claim, so I posted a second claim with more supporting facts
Next: the same result, but this time PayPal closed the case and said final decision
Then I called my credit card and they did a full investigation of fraud online company to discover the truth behind my claim and they refunded my money.
Then: I turned off all my bank accounts on PayPal, so they would not attempt to steal more money from me.
Then: I posted all over Facebook and any blog I could find, the details of this transaction and how poor PayPal was to work with. I have been an active member of PayPal for over ten years. I thought it was a safe and secure way to pay.

Now, based on the facts that I have provided, and the facts that everyone else with the same issue is providing... let s look at the obvious:
Conspiracy or reality... well perception IS reality.

So here is where you have to STOP using PayPal forever! Tell your friends to ban them, and tell them to tell their friends... as the reality is this :

PayPal sides with the online scam who are proven to be a scam by over a dozen reputable sites on google, then paypal completely disregard the facts linked to our claims, they cancel claims and side with the scam artists, then PayPal rejects the second claim and takes their time to do so as to exceed the 10 day limit (why is there a limit... oh yeah, to protect PayPal so they have a loophole to keep your money)
Then when you try to call paypal back, to discuss this with a live agent , you get a voice mail that due to Covid 19, they are unable to answer. Or PayPal is using Covid 19 as a cover up to avoid calls so that the allotted time will pass and there is no recourse to get a refund. As I stated... perception is reality... now my perception is that PayPal is in cahoots with this fraud online company.... why else would they be so quick to ignore the facts and then ignore them multiple times in an effort to dismiss the facts. And I am not the only one reaching out to them with these problems. Why was my bank able to find out the facts in one day?

Perhaps PayPal created the scam website themselves knowing all these steps would be impossible to get our money back. Could be just a conspiracy or it could be reality. But the real fact is... PayPal is an accomplice to fraud and online theft, since they directly negated the facts.
DO NOT USE PAYPAL. Forward to everyone! Including your local government, senators, mayors, lawyers and anyone who wants to help take a class action suit against PayPal.
We have had enough, it is unjust and unforgivable.

There is no one to talk to and no email to send a message to escalate. Now they have sent my account to a collection agency. Made a transaction about 3 years ago that went bad..was duped on a mail order phone..paypal weeseled their way out of helping me to save themselves money. I pretty much wrote them off til now.. have a transaction and I can't use my card because it's tied to an existing paypal account. SO I CLOSED MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT. Well, since I won't give them money and let them corn hole me again, they blacklisted my email and card number so I have to get new of both before doing ANT further business with ANYONE OR ANY BUSINESS that does business with paypal. Poor public communication ~! This is awful how can this company operate using the Convid-19 for an excuse is inexcusable these people only care about the all might $$$$$$$$$ tried the number associated with Corporate it's the same one that a computer generated voice answers . This connection ends up hanging up on the call so much for good or even fair customer service if there were no stars I would choose that one but in order to post you need to post a star so much for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Contacted their customer service department 4 time...

Contacted their customer service department 4 times on the same day. First time to confirm a number change. Followed their instructions and ended up locked out of my account. Was then told it will take 24 hours to update. Detrimental service to customer. Second time, called about account being locked and phone number change. Phone number was changed in 2 minutes. Answered questions about the past few years of my life. Was then told that it should be unlocked. No dice. Called a third time about being locked. Was told unfortunately i have to wait 48 hours to access my account. Great.... Oh but you can use paypal cash to make a withdrawal at walmart. End call go to walmart expecting to at least pull something out to pay my bills. Locked out of mobile app. Call again 4th time about mobile app. Sorry cant help you, your locked out for the next 48 hours on everything. Thanks paypal for wasting 12 hours of my day for the first employee screwing up.

Asked to provide a confirmation of Identity. Provided all items and taken care of. Going to add onto what has happened. It has been 48 hours. I was told that another one of my accounts is in the negative and needs to be resolved before I can access my funds. A whole whopping $4.58. Called into collections. Lady was nice enough to offer that the amount be credited into my account. I said that was nice but I would prefer to pay for it through my alternate account. Was denied it. $2k dollars in my other account and was denied. Was then told that it would be 2-3 days before it would be credited then another 5-7 days before my other account would be cleared. Asked since this was resolved, will my other account be available? Transfered to limitations. Spoke to a nice young lady who verified that everything was being proccessed and attempted to unlock my account. Told me it would take 1-2 hours. Accepted that answer. Waited 8 hours and checked to see that I'm still locked out. Now 7:30pm. Called back in to figure out why my account is still locked. Gentleman on the other side said that it was locked due to the funds still being in the negative balance on associated account.

Now tell me if I'm wrong. I will be happy for some criticism but I did press that I will pay for the negative balance myself and was told that this was unnecessary. Once again, your first employee made a decision on my behalf and locked me out of my account even further. I'm beginning to think that the company in question is just doing this to casual users of paypal to pull credit from their users. I am very upset and at this point I can not recommend the basic services that you render to anyone if your going to lock them out of their account and have them jump through 50 different hoops to access their fund. I would rather pay a bank $50 a month to hold my money securely than to deal with the chain of absolutely ridiculous customer service your company provides to it's customers.

It is now possible for a merchant to deduct a charge which is different from that which was authorized by a card holder, and that which appears on one's paypal statement! I wouldn't have believed it if I had not experienced it firsthand. In addition, it is now possible for a merchant you paid through paypal to deduct money behind your back from your paypal account and for paypal to allow this. They, paypal and the offending merchant, can then refuse to refund the fraudulently charged money and nothing apparently can be done to correct the situation.The BBB are apparently in bed with them too, so going to them for any resolution, like I did, was a complete waste of time!. Seems like many US big business have gotten the green light since Trump was voted in to act with impunity and without accountability to their customers

You put peoples money on hold, freeze accounts and most amazing of all you actually take money out of peoples accounts and hand out refunds like you re involved in the transaction. I am waiting for the day someone manages to get into your system and removes the money so you can know what it feels like. There was a time you were the only game in town but that time has passed. You are the most pathetic excuse for a payment service to every exist. I pray every night that your identities get stolen, your accounts frozen, your houses foreclosed on and that your kids get cancer.
