Very good eCommerce platform. We have used several other platforms in the past including some of the very big American programs but Neto is as good, if not better than them. Support is usually very quick and to the most part very good. We recommend Neto to anyone wanting an effective eCommerce platform that has relatively easy configuration.

Moving our business of 20+ years online was a big job and we required a robust end to end framework that could support all our existing sales and accounting processes. Neto's functionality has allowed MEC to make this transition to operating online, with great support from the team for all our questions on the way.
We are now operating our entire business successfully on this platform. I would recommend Neto to any startup or existing business looking for an ecommerce platform that can support end to end fulfilment.

Great software. We've had an eBay store for many years and this has given us the ability to have a web site and an eBay store all running off the one platform.
Now that we have all of our templates set up it's easy to make any changes to all of our eBay listings in a couple of steps.
We tried another eCommerce software and after about 6 months, realised it just wasn't going to work for us and would have required a third party software to link to eBay.
Highly recommended.

Honestly save your time and money - I spent three years with Neto and its time i will never get back. From charging $160ph for simple design tweaks to taking them 2-3 days to respond to simple site requests, its so backwards to grow any online retailer. From a Brisbane based business owned by Telstra it falls short in every way. Nothing talks, from Pos to inventory and the list go's on. Left Neto before Christmas and will never look back.

I've been working with different eCommerce platforms for the last 6 years, both as a store owner and service provider. From my experience, Neto has the biggest set of out of the box features and still growing. It has everything a seller who wants to scale up may want, such as great import/export functionality quickly create and update products, native integration with leading marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon, Catch, etc. super flexible shipping integration with many local carriers, local support and too many other to count. Something that other platforms can achieve only by adding countless number of costly addons that often also conflict one with each other.

Anyone who considers a launch of new website or migrating an existing one and don't have unlimited budget should consider Neto. It's not the cheapest solution and may not fit everyone but it's the best value for each dollar invested in this price range.

This review is not accurate because there is no minus star rating. I give neto a minus 5 star rating - that's -5 stars! Terrible, the worst experience I have ever had with a company. You cannot speak to anyone who will take any responsibility or ownership of issues and problems. It is slow and archaic the way they run this operation. Use Neto at your own peril!

We have been using Neto e commerce since December 2017. The Neto system is very reliable and robust. The customer support is excellent. I do not have dedicated IT person to maintain the e commerce website and we self maintain the site because it is very easy to upload and modify the content.

Sorry Neto, you ve done the most unAustralian thing in the world... No mate would ever increase monthly fees by 350% per month... I believe current CPI is 2.5% per year...

Happy to take a cop and help you guys get better, but this is clearly closing the door on your Australian Market.

We re all business s and no one is perfect, happy to wait for support tickets to be answered can understand uncontrollable server outages... This one in the words of Brisbanite Kevin07 fair shake of the sauce bottle mate .

I have now trialled quite a few ecommerce packages...

I have now trialled quite a few ecommerce packages, and without a doubt I have found Neto to be the best. I have in the past been using Joomla solutions, but with our business growing rapidly I wanted a more robust and fully hosted e-commerce solution.

I actually initially started off with setting up a Shopify store, since I thought it would do what I wanted. Even though its relatively easy to set up, and looks very clean and elegant, it didnt take long to find massive shortfalls in functionality and total lack of customising ability. Thus, moving on from Shopify I found Neto.

Neto is a fairly complex system, but in that it is also a very powerful system. Full of features, endless customisation options, fully customisable front end as well as all the back end print and email templates. The very powerful export functions in the backend are fantastic, and I use them extensively to create reports, price lists and stock alerts. They export scripts can be scheduled and sent to a server or email....which opens up a world of possibilities.

The fact that it all integrates quite seemlessly with all major Australian shipping companies is fantastic. Shipping labels are automatically generated for each consignment.

I will agree that for complex websites operations, there is quite a lot of work in setting it all up. You can either do it yourself, or get Neto support staff to help.

I have found Neto support to be fantastic. Any support tickets are answered within 24 hours. Best of all is that Neto support can always be reached by phone, for those urgent questions. Everybody at Neto that I have been dealing with have been professional and eager to help.
For people wanting a simple system with minimal input, then I can understand if Neto may be at first a little bit daunting....but persevere....it is well well worth it when its all set up.

Very happy with my decision to join Neto.

Neto is very much an over promise under deliver system. They lure you in on a cheap service fee and then pound you for all the extras You will spend thousands of dollars getting a half operating system ( that even there support staff staff cant believe why certain fuctions dont operate) and then be completely dissatisfied and thne wonder why you didnt go with one of the other major suppliers. Every week we curse why we went this way and not one of the other majors.

Wonderful e-commerce platform for our on-line educational toy store here at Bright Tomato Learning. Our developers suggested this as a great aussie company with excellent phone support and they were absolutely right. The support provided is always second to none. All features are easy to use and implement. The integration with ebay is smooth and problem-free. It also integrates easily with a variety of other applications. But the best thing by far is technical support and customer service. You can concentrate on running the business and worry about technical stuff or looking for freelancers to fix problems.

What started out as a great Aussie success story &...

What started out as a great Aussie success story & their willingness to help saw them gain traction, but this has deteriorated rapidly.
Questions that would take less than a day to get tech support on are now taking weeks to get even a basic answer on, leaving the end user stranded.
Then without warning & after being promised that the switch over to U.S Dollar billing would not affect current users, our pricing goes up 357.49% overnight.
Very poor form to have a huge decline in support coupled with an enormous increase in pricing that cannot be justified.
Kudos for destroying your long term customer base for an initial spike in revenue that will surely decline as everyone abandons.

As an accounting practice the integrity of our client s data is essential. Over the past 3 to 4 years we have worked with several of our clients who have set up Neto online stores. During this time we have seen the Neto platform evolve to become a very feature rich platform that has not only enabled our client s to significantly increase their revenue by selling in multiple sales channels but also really streamline their back of house procedures. As accountants data integrity is very important to us and our clients. Neto effectively eliminates any manual touch points with sales and inventory data. The sales and inventory data from Neto passes through to whichever cloud based accounting system our clients us and the additional benefit for our clients is the labour savings from a bookkeeping perspective as Neto effectively eliminates any duplicate data entry.

Great program but support is useless.

Dont pay for any of their express set up stuff or custom work. Just use their standard stuff and set it up yourself. They screw it up and it is weeks in between email replies and you have to call them to get a reply. We have done most of the work that we paid to have done. A growing company that just employs muppets who are incredibly lazy.

Once its set up you will be rewarded with a clean store and an easy to use but also very powerful back end.

Disgusting company. Any new business looking for a platform for their website, I suggest you look somewhere else. I was with neto for over a year and during that time we were given less and less until they decided recently to give us a MASSIVE hike in fees, costing us double what it cost us a couple months ago. We got NOTHING EXTRA. We just had to pay more for the rubbish service. The platform is slow, very basic and close to impossible to customize unless you pay their programmers $150 an hour to do something as simple as change a colour for you if its not in your template. Their integrations to Xero and other services work sometimes (if you're lucky) and good luck with their paid extras.
To screw Australian small businesses because you want to try and capitalize on the american market is disgusting. I hope your overheads DOUBLE without warning in the near future.

To me Neto brings the saying 'begin with the end in mind' to life. As a small cottage business that requires efficiency to grow, I chose Neto as it caters for each stage of development and won't require re-work to create scale; that is their niche. Creating a start-up as a novice has it's challenges and knowing there is awesome customer service closely at hand (in Australia) to guide you through it has made all the difference. We converted to Neto 12 months ago and haven't looked back since. We launched in less than a month and the Cloud based offering has been fantastic for us. It's easy integration with shipping partners and our warehouse provider helped us achieve significant operational efficiency. Its easy integration with the various comparison engines, affiliates and Google Shopping helped us generate additional traffic at no incremental cost. Can't speak highly enough of these guys and their local presence here in Australia is an absolute bonus.

The cost when compared to the functionality on offer and the value it has generated for our business is incredible. Thank you so much Neto!

I just stumbled upon some of these negative reviews, and I couldn't disagree more.

Despite what some people believe, changing platforms or creating an online store, takes time and energy. No one is going to create it for you, you need to be the one driving it and troubleshooting. I feel like some people have gone to Neto, and have then thrown up their hands and adjudicated responsibility.

Coming from the wordpress platform to Neto, I can tell you that it has been an incredibly empowering experience. I can't put a value on having the ability to call someone in Australia, and ask them questions about functionality, or integration with other platforms. It's as if I have my own Dev team in house. The customer service team is very knowledgeable and they have good people skills (which is rare with tech companies).

Subscription based model is also ideal. Instead of paying a lump sum upfront for a custom website on WP, I can spread the cost over many months, giving me better cash flow. Compared to their competitors , Neto offers better standard functionality.

The backend platform is also really easy to use, and there are heaps of helpdocs. If you are like me and are sick are reading help docs, just give Neto a call and they can run you through. I've also never felt like I'm being rushed when I do this (which is what normally happens).

Furthermore, since moving to Neto, customers feel like the website looks more professional and is easier to use. As a result I have seen an uptake in revenue.

Would highly recommend the platform, don't believe the haters.

Using this platform will allow me to scale my business up, as I have already done so far, and will continue to do. I wouldn't look anywhere else for an all in one system.

Started with excellent customer sales service. Once I signed up the customer service dropped drastically. People don't phone you back or very slow to get back to you (over a few days or weeks).
The back end system was easy enough to learn but its not without its faults. They do have some good features like ebay, filters and data entry was ok but have horrible back end product navigation. I also found the system slow even after being promised a speed up after I had paid.
Accounts dept have no idea what they are doing. Mistakes being made the first day of service. No refund given either even after being promised one.
My biggest annoyance is they try and get you to fill out forms or reports of all the issues you have instead of listening to the customer. They really need to learn to manage a customer instead of endless transferring your call and passing it onto someone else. Best to avoid and use a designer directly.

So let me get this straight, you want to charge me an additional $500/mth for my 3 websites for virtually the same system (but yippee, I get some add-ons I don't want nor need). Is that even legal? Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that I'd be better off investing that money in moving all 3 websites to a new system. If anyone out there is considering moving to Neto, DON'T. They are frauds. They don't care about your small business and once onboard they will significantly increase your monthly costs. Their new business model is designed to put small businesses out of business. You don't want to work with partners like that.

Email out of the blue with a over 40% increase in monthy price (for the first year) and hundreds of percent after the cap expires in 12 months. You know it is significant cost for a business to move from your platform, and you clearly have taken adavantage of this and decide to gouge your loyal customers and small Australian businesses. Great work Neto!

The revenue model is totally floored for businesses that are wholesalers or in industries that work on low margins, like my business. No thought has been put into this.

Hey Neto a good thought, why not raise prices for new customers only and look after your loyal customers that are now forced to spend $1000's moving to a new platform becuase of your unfair pricing structure.

I see you claiming prices have not risen in 9 years, this is your fault for not managing your pricing over time. What did you expect from your customers when they are told of massive thousands of dollar increases over night!

We currently run four eCommerce website varying in size from Enterprise to startup and Neto is able to satisfy our requirements for each of these sites without any issues. Highly recommend.

First off, I absolutely love your software; the integration of sophisticated and multi-tiered functionality, all configurable, is a testimony to the overarching design philosophy, architecture and subsequent coding implementation. Damn fine team of solution designers and engineers in my humble opinion.

To implement this you have an absolutely superb support team. I was always treated kindly and with respect (regardless of my stress level), and furthermore the support staff know their stuff. If someone didn t, then my issue was always redirected to someone who did. No black holes in your organisation, well done.

Neto was the fourth eCommerce solution I trialed. The Raw Deal Natural Foods has Vend integration and there is NO solution out there that integrates with Vend customers (including the woo commerce universe). All in all I spent over four months messing about with other solutions until I discovered Neto. For me nothing else came even a close second.

Unethical business. They are not interested in small businesses and have just dealt out crushing price increases for very little of use in return. Do not launch with this platform. We went with them to support an Australian business and now they have gone and done the most unAustralian thing ever. I urge all those affected to contact the ACCC, Fair Trading, Small Business Ombudsman and media outlets.

We have been using Neto for over 2 years and have been very pleased with the platform. Great features, especially the ability to manage large inventories with CSVs and the IF logic functions. Overall the platform is definitely the pick of the bunch among managed ecommerce software.

In addition, in light of the Bigcommerce debacle increasing their prices by 2000%, Neto is now definitely the clear choice.

I do wish they would take further steps to make their checkout bulletproof.

I would love to know my checkout is constantly being tested to be fully compatible with all the major browsers and have some sort of bot checkout check in place which keeps me updated that it is working as it should.

I considered a number of ecommerce platforms but chose the Neto platform for a number of reasons that made the decision easy.The company is Australian with easily accessible tech support, the billing is in AUD. The system integrates easily with almost all local freight companies and most importantly - designing and setting up the store was very simple. The backend is well laid out and easy to navigate and the front end template looks great. Changing to the Neto platform has made our sales jump by 30% (almost instantly) compared to our old platform.

I'm a small ebay operator turning over approx $1m in sales. I needed a solution that would really do two things - save me about 6 hours a day in cutting and pasting by generating customer order details to e-parcel and also create uniform looking listings on ebay.

It's been a complete disaster so-far. I Continue to flag technical glitches which get sent to "Second level support" because the people who answer the email support can't do anything but send links to videos. By trying to be everything to everybody they have developed a system that is so complicated to use they don't even understand how it works.... god help anybody who who isn't an engineer or coder. I even had one guy stuff around for an hour trying to figure out why their system kept restocking items after we ran out causing items to be sold that we didn't have.

There are about a dozen outstanding issues which nobody has addressed yet and it's having a major impact on my business both for the time I'm investing in trying to make this work, and the impact that it is having on our customer service and reputation.

An utter waste of time and money with no end to the problems in sight.

Watch out America, Ryan Murtagh CEO has really buried what was a great company. Only weeks ago assuring customers a price rise to new clients only , he now retracts and gives only a months notice before some massive gauging to all levels of his clients. With prices inflated and no new services on offer, business now are left to look for a whole new platform. It is so disappointing. My advice avoid starting up with a company that is as volitile as this one.

As the ecommerce manager and now overall manager o...

As the ecommerce manager and now overall manager of Art Shed, we decided to move to Neto about 3 years ago. What appealed to us was Neto's unique ability to allow us to sell across channels and marketplaces without other costly connectors and other third party integrations. This has been one of the best decisions we have made in my 10 years working at our company.

Neto's system has allowed us to have the central system for stock control, inventory and orders management we always dreamed of, and while with Neto the business has seen dramatic growth year over year.

We put our growth down to the extra time and efficiencies Neto has allowed us. We now have more time for strategy and marketing that as a small team we were lacking before.

My favourite things about Neto are:
-Product creation: the backend of a product includes a vast number of attributes, and we have found greater success with our site SEO that ever before while onboard with Neto

-Order management: Neto's order management tools are fantastic for an all in one platform. We have used Neto pick and pack for several years now. We are finding as we are growing into the next level of daily order volumes it's becoming a bit clunky, but for a smaller retailer doing 50-100 order per day it's fantastic.

-Customer support: I have never been let down by Neto's support team. They are all well versed in the platform and always deliver fixes when things go wrong.

The streamlining and fast integrations have given us more time to work on the business instead of in the business. I would strongly recommend against using Neto for ...

I would strongly recommend against using Neto for your online business. They've got some good ideas and implement a bunch of useful Australian specific features but as a company that are too untrustworthy to rely on.

The strongest argument I have for using Neto is the support for "Pay Later" credit terms for customers, essential for B2B sales, and the only reason we haven't moved to BigCommerce.

The product is riddled with bugs that never seem to get addressed. As everyone else here has mentioned we had out price increased by 355% pretty much the month after we signed up. Worst of all we're not even in the revenue band they bill us for but our account manager hasn't responded to an email in two months to fix it.

I can truly understand the need to increase prices to survive. We probably wouldn't mind if it wasn't for the contempt shown in the process and refusal to answer follow up emails.

I honestly think a lot of the gushing 5 star reviews here are fake. Buyer beware.

I've used Neto on and off for a few years on customer sites from small to large turn-over and have found their ecommerce platform rather well featured and their support responsive. Their continued integrations with Australian 3rd party service providers is also rather good. They have recently changed their pricing model so it's a good idea to review your approach to eCommerce but to be fair, if you're truly serious about selling online you need to include these guys in your research.

We are an original Neto customer and have 4 sites with them. If their competence and service was at a level that justified such a price rise then we would happily pay. The truth is they are a joke. We are on the way out and would suggest any one considering getting into ecommerce look elsewhere.

Moved from Shopify to Neto to fix inventory reporting issues. But the recent price increase makes it untenable to stay, particularly with the XERO add on (which just became $99 USD per month instead of $99 AUD) doesn t send data to the correct records (I.e gift cards and returns).

Thought it would save us time and money. Turns out it was neither. We re moving back to Shopify. If we re gonna pay this much for a system, we re gonna pay for one that works with our other systems. It s a robust app, but not worth the effort or price. Not good for an agile business. Use something that connects easier like Vend or Tradegecko.

Potential Neto Customers - Been with Neto for some time now and after experiencing the whole painful process from start to finish, firstly we are still paying for subscriptions that we were told would help our business but soon realising after they have debited our account instead don t integrate properly or provide any assistance whatsoever to help make them functional.

I cannot say anything positive about Neto except on their hosting speeds thats it. I am forced to take my design tweaks offshore as it takes 3-4 weeks for them to apply a 1hr design tweak. After the first meeting they over promise and under deliver on every level. Neto after being bought out by telstra and having over 1800 businesses to manage, they simply sign you up then add you to the list and here's your number.

Trying to have any paid task completed is a Nightmare. Save your money and do it yourself!

Our office is located only 25 mins from them yet its faster to have all my digital marketing tweaks/requests completed offshore and implemented faster then they create a ticket then have you waiting for days in frustration.

Don't pay for any of their express set up stuff or custom work. I sent them a website i had created on wordpress prior to signing up. I asked them to copy the theming and artwork 100% + $6000 (neto charge) later they failed miserably and copied only 70% . It then took 3-4 weeks of endless hours repeating myself going through everything. I couldn t of made it any clearer and they still got it wrong. Our ranking for Neto 0.5/5 We are hanging by a thread and will look at changing for 2017.

There's hardly a wait-time for a reply to questions (like the corporate giants), & there are multiple ways to reach out to them like chat, email & phone. My account manager Paul Slater has been there to assist with CSV uploads, store set-up, & technical enquiries - I mean he's been fabulous. Neto is the BEST & most user friendly software to run my business. I have zero regret in signing up. In the past I've used Shopify, Magento, Wix & Woo E-commerce website/infantry platforms, but all of them have these annoying limitations that really effect your business processes & time efficiencies in one way or the other. NOTHING compares to using Neto, especially for the the value & service you get for the money you're paying. In the beginning I'd been given full access on the 14 day trial to set up my whole website, afterwards once your on the plan, NOTHING changes. You still get full use of Neto ! I mean, if your reading this, trust me, Neto is the best decision for your business platform.

Having Neto on side with my e commerce website has been so great. As a small business owner in my 40's, getting my head around e commerce has been such a challenge over the years. I got rid of my word press site and changed to Neto after reviewing many other shopping platforms. I saw a Neto stand at an ecommerce conference and was a bit concerned that they were based in QLD and I am in Sydney but i need not have worried. Their online phone support is like having a professional partnership. What i like about Neto is that they have pretty much thought of everything that online retailers have to go through and have put it in to their backend platform. It is such a relief to find a company that talks my language and is many steps in front. I admit It did take me a few months to get my head around the back end and I still learning. I am pretty proud of myself for choosing NETO as i know i can grow our business on this platform for the future.

We have retail stores open 7 Days a week and my Neto site also generates foot traffic and calls to my physical stores.

I LOVE NETO! It is expensive and probably a little out of my company's budget but I'm hoping to to be able to turn this around. The features that NETO offers is not like any other that I have seen, competitors don't compete. The support you get is absolutely ongoing! So many companies support you well to get going but then fall down with continuing support. This is NOT the case with NETO. Support's knowledge is exemplary. General information that is provided through NETO News is an absolute must for any online business. NETO keeps you in the loop of online trends, marketplace stats. You just don't get this information anywhere else.

We have been a Neto Customer for approx 5 years, We have found the system to be the best on the market in Australia, It is a 1 stop solution - Neto integrates multiple sales channels inc Ebay and Amazon, it also provides us with Shipping labels, Product management, Analytics, Inventory. order management, marketing and much more.
The product has changed over time and keeps up with the modern trends.
The SEO is fantastic and we rank on the first page of google for most of our product line. The back end is intuitive and easy to use. The import and export features are great for mass changes to product lines.
The advanced Inventory system is relatively new and still requires some work ie easier stock taking procedure and data manipulation however it is in-house and does not need a 3rd party app to bridge the data. In the past month there has been a great release to fix some of the inventory issues and they plan to have another release in the next month or so that will make it more user friendly as well.
As with any software and individual requirements, we have had to make some work arounds and then hope those work arounds are turned into features in updates - The good news is that most of our requirements have been integrated over the past years.
Neto has helped grow my business and I look forward to the new updates as they are rolled out.
I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 - due to the poor communication of the recent changing of pricing especially for legacy clients - It caused me much confusion and uncertainty, However I will now give another 1/2 star (4.5 stars) to Adam Craig, who has contacted me recently and explained the changes correctly and put it all in writing I know exactly were I stand.
Now I can get back too running my business with the aid of an all inclusive great software package at a fair price.

However, after taking the first step, making mistakes and supported all along the way by the friendly and super helpful Neto design and support team, I now have a first class web site, first class eBay listings and Store.

Started off O.k but lately website is so slow its hardly usable, Been waiting on a support ticket to be responded to for almost a week. They have now sent me an Email telling my monthly plan cost is changing from $49AUD to $249USD PER MONTH

I must say pricing many of your customers away to your competitors is an interesting tactic. While I am not totally against the price rise it makes it clear that NETO is struggling and I can't risk my business if NETO is in such a dire position where it need to raise prices 7 fold.
