Support bugs, promised features that never get delivered, super slow speed on site and offsite are some of the issues that we experience. I have questioned this many times and while waiting weeks for a response, nothing ever gets resolved.
Then to top it off, raise the prices overnight, after initially lying and saying that they are not going to be raised for current customers. In order to determine the new pricing, Neto went into people's accounts and ran reports on our personal data. Surely this is a security violation.
Not really a trustworthy company. You are better off looking at other solutions and taking your $ elsewhere, to companies that will actually look after their customers for the long term.
We have been using Neto for almost a year now, it is a good platform but it has some bugs. I would still recommend it, we used to have Vend, and that was really good for brick and mortar but their website platform was not very good and that's why we changed over to Neto.

As a small business owner, with a few staff trying to support an Australia software company we've once again been bent over and screwed. No bonus or goodwill for loyalty for being a loyal customer for the past few years...no none of that...no grandfather period or keeping us on the same plan, just immediate price rice as of now! F*&K You Neto. So disappointed and frustrated at your lack of transparency and honesty, I've spoken to you guys right from the start about this exact thing and yep, you've done exactly what you said you would never do!!!!
UPDATE: I do find it somewhat humorous that NETO insists that these MASSIVE price rises of over 250-350% in many cases is all for the Benefit of the Merchants!! LOL Are you sure? It's pure greed. If you really cared you would consult with your merchants first. You'd actually consider the impact of price rises like an extra $3000 per year for a small business. Or $28,000 per year extra for larger businesses!! Yes you read that right!!! I'm not buying your lame reasoning and neither are the hundreds of other merchants jumping ship and migrating to other platforms as we speak!
My online business Axiom Music has used Neto for over ten years and I can highly recommend their system and their customer service. Our site attracts a high volume of views and sales and the back end interface is comprehensive and easy to understand. Rates are reasonable and there are many add on features you can take advantage of. I feel they do really care about their clients and I have always had excellent back up service. If you're looking for a stable and effective ecommerce solution I'd def check them out.

poor support, tickets take more than 1 week to answer, simple issue took more than 2 weeks to solve because of poor support and slow responding. They are not for small business definitely.
The Neto platform is by far the best available for online retail in Australia. I have used the platform to create a number of websites and find the CMS very simple to use and easy to integrate with third party applications. Neto used to be fantastic, hands down the best, HOWEVER recently since they have begun to grow, iv waited longer and longer on the phone, none of the support team know what they are doing anymore, they always leave you on hold while they ask someone else for help. Their ticketing system is an absolute disaster. Their is ALWAYS bugs in their system, i could call several times a week with issues i have with my system. They used to help and resolve the problems now they give you a ticket and never get back to you. Defiantly wouldn't recommend them again.
Hopefully they read this and stop taking on new business, and try to better manage the customers they have. While iv been writing this iv listened to their hold message on repeat for 45 minutes now..... Pick up your game neto!
Using their service for last couple of years. The service they are providing is amazing. Best platform for Small to Medium businesses with the functionality it includes. Can't think of running a business with out this platform now.
We moved over to Neto back in 2013 and our website traffic has increased substantially not only from our own efforts, but largely from our great looking website and user friendly format and the ability for customers to purchase online. In terms of business it's been one of the best things we've done and NETO have worked with us tirelessly to make it happen and work really well.
Neto what have you done! The recent greed driven price hike is outrageous. We were paying $358 per month and we have just been informed that this will increase to $731 per month and to top if off they are moving to USD. thats right an Australian company charging in USD??? So now our bank will also charge us 3% to pay in USD. Nothing but greed so they can sell the USD to make a shed load more AUD. They are based in Brisbane so the whole story about most their costs being in USD is a lie to try and cover their greed. We have been a neto customer for 5 years and spent tens of thousands $$$ on designs etc which are obviously all locked to the neto platform. They have given us 30 days notice before the price hike but they also need 30 days notice cancellation, so now it is impossible to actually avoid the price hike as 30 days notice will take you into the new billing period with the new prices. They also know that no company will be able to get a new site up and running in 30 days! I urge everyone effected to contact the ACCC as im sure this isn't legal.
They now they have everyone in a corner which is why they've done this. We paid a deposit 2 weeks ago on a new website rebuild to give it a refresh and then they hit us with this! We have cancelled the rebuild and will sue if we have to to get our deposit back. My advice would be to stay well away and not waste time or money in this platform as who knows in 6 months they could double prices again. They have already proven they are not a loyal company and you can't trust them. I now have someone from shopify calling me to discuss our needs. They are a much larger company and a lot more trust worthy and a heap cheaper!.
Also yes as others mentioned customer service is shocking. Years ago it wasn't too bad, now however you will sit on the phone for 20 mins before anyone answers then a person struggling to speak english answers and lodges a ticket for you! then you have to wait for around 4-5 days for a reply to your urgent problem!

Just to add a little to this on top of all this Netos customer support for its extremely buggy system is disgusting. 30 minutes on the phone before anyone answers and then they lodge a ticket that you can expect to wait around 4 weeks for a reply if you actually ever get one! This isnt in busy times it is every single time you call.

Not only do they cover all the bases you would expect a shopping cart to and more but they are constantly adding value with new and improved features and their support team is phenomenal.

Have been trying to reset my website password to 2 days now, still no email from the ????automated password reset system?????, tried to call but i cant stay on the phone waiting when trying to run a business. This is annoying to have to try and communicate via google. according to google your busy times for phone contact is EVERY DAY monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, I can confirm this.

I've been a client of Neto since 2014 jumping on board not long after the business started. Quite simply there is no other platform on the market for an Australian business that offers the depth and breadth of capability that Neto offers in the market.
There have been a few roadblocks on the journey and some angry emails and issues with service provision over the years, as you get with any company in a growth phase, however the over riding factor is that the service is super stable with next to no outages and for my business this is what counts, the reliability of the service and a value for money service offering. It's better it's an Australian company as well who invest a fair amount of money here in Australia which I like.
My business has grown and changed dramatically over the years and Neto's main strength is it's adaptability to pretty much any type of business out there whether you are purely an online retailer through to a full blown manufacturing or wholesale distribution company. It would be hard to convince me to move to another platform, no other product on the market comes close in terms of the end product and the pricing. It's not small change by any means and is based on your revenue so you pay more as you grow, but the end result is reliability and functionality. I haven't given 5 stars as there is always room for improvement!

Setup took 6 months not 2 months. Neto sales over promised. Website server is too slow. Designers are Neanderthals. I noticed grey hairs for the first time while getting it running.
Shame on you Neto!!! we are shocked and beyond angry with your overnight announcement on the 28th February 2019 to increase everyone's monthly subscriptions beginning on the 1st April, based on each merchant's annual revenue band. Not only did we get hit with a huge price leap in our subscriptions but to make matters worse you are going to charge us in US dollars to boot!!! Absolutely disgusting, and with no prior warning or a heads up to any of us that this outrageous price increase was in your BIG game plan, and from what I am learning... for a long time now. All of your loyal Aussie clients have been caught off guard and have no other option but to cope the 50% + and upwards price increase because it takes a 30 day cancellation period email to you.. to stop you billing us!!! We are currently looking at other options and have found another more feature-rich platform, and like many, many others will be jumping ship in due time. Seriously not happy and will discontinue recommending you to all our business associates!!!

I won't recommend Neto EVER. Poor customer service - average waiting time is more than 2 weeks to fix ONE simple problem (I had to chase the person entire time to remind him as he forgot most of time or he had excuses - never got email back). Lack of professionality - Most of answer I heard from support team was "ummm I don't know. It's odd". I know it is odd and is not working that's why I need help. I didn't know what to do with the answer. Only thing they suggested me to watch their "video instruction" or sent "Ticket" which I never got the advise back. I have 100 more reasons why I will NEVER and NEVER recommend Neto. It was frustrating experience and Website hasn't even launched yet (which is more than 3 weeks delay). Do not even want to give them 1 star. It is too rich for them.

Have been a neto client since almost their start in 2009, in the early days it was what you expected from a young and agile company wanting to provide a fantastic product and work with their clients. Now however the company majority owned by Telstra has become a whale that is slow to move, doesn't take the clients into consideration and goes for the easiest money grab of all time.
Do we really think they required a price hike that is going to nett them over $500,000 per month from their loyal clients? If the were losing that much money I am sure that moving into the US market last year would have been impossible.
No-one including me believes that this was a necessary move to remain agile. It is abhorrent price gouging of loyal clients and it will result in lost business, but in a world where moving data between platforms and restarting the eCommerce plan for a business costs time and money they are obviously fully prepared to lose a few customers as there will be plenty that will simply cop it on the chin. To those that do stay and cop the price rise I have to say sorry that this Aussie company that boasted at events and awards nights of their service to their clients and how they were proud of the service they provide to small and medium business, actually lured them in with the worst bait and switch of all time, you may have signed up to AUS$79/month but welcome to US$249 for the same features, oh and that include integration that was free now US$99 on top.
Yes that is what I believe, neto lied to clients let them sign onto a less than AUS$170 plan and then with 30 days notice made it a AUS$495 plan, that is pure bait and switch, that is pure thievery and yes it is un-Australian. Good luck USA they are coming for you next.

With this company for over 6 years (when they were at Mt Gravatt).
* I had to put up with bugs that were never fixed despite being reported many times to them for many years.
* Website that performs slow most of the time.
* They have the worst cache setup.
* Recently with 30 days notice, had my monthly fee put up by +300% and they only accept payment in USD !!!!
* Mined my clients data to decide how much they were going to lift my subscription fee. I then realised that their "conditions of use" gave them this right to look through my clients data even though it might be a problem by law with my clients Data Privacy and GDPR on my part.
* Charging 2 x more for interfacing into a 3rd party app more than I pay that app for a monthly subscription.
* No native international support for languages or currency - but they want to be paid in USD themselves ? That's quite incredible.

We at Knife Supplies Australia tried quite a few shopping cart providers before we settled on Neto. Some were just too complicated and others didn't have the functionality we needed. Neto has the right balance! We were up and running with an off-the shelf template in no time and down the track Neto provided us with a custom designed website, which our customers continually tell us is great and so easy to use. There is no functionality that our business requires that Neto cannot perform. Knife Supplies Australia initially started life on ebay and one of the most compelling features of Neto was ebay integration. In particular, the ability to manage one single inventory across our web site and ebay while maintaining accurate stock levels. Since then we have also added Amazon. We are selling across three sales channels all centrally managed and co-ordinated. Neto also automatically intergates with Xero, ebay, Amazon, Australia Post eParcel, Stripe, Paypal, Afterpay and all the others systems we use, to maximise the efficiency of our business. On top of all that Neto is Australian and their Australian based customer support are there every day to give advice and fix any problems that arise. Knife Supplies Australia is just a small family business but our growth is fantastic and that's got a lot to do with our Neto partner. We honestly don't believe there is better software on the market.
My company Direct Pool Supplies could not be more happier with Neto. We use Neto as our eCommerce platform and also Neto POS in our retail store.. Neto offers us a complete solution for my companies needs with a user friendly back end solution. We highly recommend Neto!
Anyone looking at this system... these were the faults we found. We wanted to give an honest account of what we found so as to justify the rating.
-POS & Control Panel weren't working seamlessly in a sense that sales history doesn't show orders for both POS & online --No push notifications in the POS App for online orders -Customer names do not show as labels when orders are parked -Checkout process is too tedious for customers (increasing drop-offs at that stage) (With us doing test with other online stores in similar industries, NETO was much, much harder and longer to close sale) -Too much information is required for customers to checkout (both POS & online store) without stating that fields are required -Email marketing setup was not intuitive -Could not manage the register float with the POS app -Shift amounts in the POS app were not triggered when opening shift (could not count the float and compare to close register) -Sales reassured us that gift vouchers were going to be functional by end of 2017 as it is on the roadmap but haven't been notified and could not be found on the roadmap -Site is A LOT slower to load compared to other ecommerce websites -The site theme was messy and hard to use -Basic Purchase Orders were another add-on that was not mentioned that took the cost of this package to more than double if we wanted to add it
Over all it was a absolute waste of time & money. Not to mention the disruption to staff and customers while we tried tirelessly to fix it.
Neto support was next to nothing and even when we emailed to cancel they ignored it and charged me for another 2 months. I called again and emailed and when they finally did reply they didn't address any of my concerns & dismissed my requests.
If you are thinking of using this platform... please really look into this. Their sales pitch will sell you the world but the deliverance & support was shocking.
I migrated from another shopping cart to Neto in which the transition process was relatively smooth. I am a sole trader, and Neto's platform has taken my business into a new, exciting arena. Helpful customer service (big thanks to Adam & Paul), excellent "how-to" documentation and videos, plus their forward thinking in launching new retail opportunities for their customers is a tremendous benefit for my business and the future.

What was a fantastic Aussie start-up has turned into a greedy money grabbing disgrace. Supported Neto for about six years with three separate businesses thru Neto's growth period, only to be screwed over by Ryan Murtagh's desire for grandeur.
As other reviews have stated, Neto have out of the blue completely changed their pricing structure, increasing my monthly subscription fees 260%. Ryan and Neto are holding loyal supporters to ransom by giving us 30 days notice to agree to the price rise or leave. The money we not only invested into Neto thru subscription fees, but the cost of having a customised website and system set up for our Neto operation is now completely wasted. We must now pay to completely rebuild our website and migrate over to a more appropriately priced provider.
The excuse for such a price increase was Neto's grand plans to expand into the US. How are they funding such expansions? By price gouging their loyal Aussie clients. In return, Neto say they're offering better service and improving their system; something we personally don't need and haven't asked for.
Shame on Neto, shame on Ryan Murtagh.
