We have found that working with this dealership has been very difficult from the start. We arrived to test drive and potentially purchase a vehicle with an appointment for a sales person. We were ignored by the front desk and the sales staff. After we got our sales person, we settled on a vehicle. When they handed us off to the finance department, that department was too busy to work with us and we had to wait nearly 4 hours. We came close to walking away and going to another dealer, and we should have.

Now, our temporary tag is about to expire. The state reports that they never received a registration from the dealership and that we should talk to them. They either won't answer the phone or their phone system is broken. I have called half a dozen times without success. I tried the online chat, but they just said they would pass the information along and someone would call me at their convenience.

It is now my problem to fix the issues with the state that the dealership should have taken care of. I would recommend that everyone consider somewhere else. This dealership doesn't seem to be interested in taking care of their customers.

I bought a car from Mike Shaw Subaru two days ago....

I bought a car from Mike Shaw Subaru two days ago. No complaints. They went through the usual song and dance during the negotiating period, but once it became clear that we wanted the car with no BS, it all went smoothly. It was an easy transaction for everyone - we'd done lots of research ahead of time and went in knowing exactly what we wanted and what we intended to pay. I was happy with everyone I worked with there and I love my new Subaru!

I would not purchase a car from this dealership. They wasted an entire day of my time telling me they had a car that day. After spending two hours filling out paperwork they told me the car had been sold. Then they told me that they would have another one in an hour. Meanwhile they were trying to push a car that I did NOT want. I believe they thought if I had gone through all of the paperwork they could push me into another car after they took my money. They told me the next day that that car had been sold. They charged my credit card 500.00 to have the car available for me. 24 hours later I still did not have a car with them. I called Valley Subaru in Longmont Colorado and dealt with Tom King the manager there. Tom was straightforward and honest. I purchased the car from Valley Subaru in Longmont. It was a completely different experience than working with Mike Shaw Subaru. I asked Mike Shaw dealership to credit my card which they then charged another 500.00. I just got off the phone with them asking for my credit of 1000.00 and they were condescending and rude and "promised that they did it." I also expressed my concern that they don't trade with Longmont which would have made my buying experience a MUCH more pleasant experience which they basically said "tough there are dealerships we don't trade with." They dismissed me at that point. Even their manager doesn't know how to deal with an upset customer. Overall I would rate this a VERY POOR buying experience. If you have to deal with someone at this dealership I would only recommend Steve Glime. Steve you may want to find a better dealership to work for.

What a great experience!! I would recommend the shop over and over again. They went above my expectations and made sure I was taken care of. Friendly staff and I noticed they enjoy one another and seemed they enjoyed their job, which in turn helps with customer service. Truly will use them anytime I need service.

The folks at Mike Shaw Subaru are doing a great job. I walked in and spent less than 2 hours in the dealership from start to finish. I negotiated and found my best price online with Shane and then when I went to do the financing they beat my banks rate by over 1%!! I am so happy I decided to go here instead of my local Subaru dealership. Thank you Shane and Peter.

Could not be happier with my car buying experience! Hutch was fantastic! I didn't feel pressured at all and they really made an effort to get me approved, I mean they jumped through hoops for me! While I waited they had plenty of snacks and drinks and friendly staff to talk to. I didn't feel out of place at all. I'm 20 years old so I thought for sure that they would try to take advantage of me but that wasn't the case at all! Hutch was super friendly and went the extra mile to make sure I left happy and with the car that I wanted. He gave me all the information I needed to make the right decision and I felt very well taken care of. 10/10 will recommend to everyone I know. Go to Mike Shaw Subaru you will not regret it!

This was my first experience buying a used car from a dealership. Let me tell, my time with them was very pleasing. Jamie was wonderful and easy to work with. She gave me all of her attention, made it a very happy experience and accommodated to all of my needs. For instance, when I got home I noticed a few things that were missing in the vehicle. Immediately I called the dealership and Jamie was able to fix the problem with no issues. I couldn t be happier with my experience with this team. Highly recommend checking them out if you are driving through the area like I was! Plus, they have VERY good coffee :)

Save yourself a headache and purchase your vehicle somewhere else. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I can only imagine how many other people they have tried to scam out of money. On top of paying $1400 in taxes for my car, I paid an additional $600 in taxes. Kept all my paperwork. They tried to only issue a check for $800 to the dmv and tried to stick me with the rest. It has been a nightmare to get the $589 back that they now owe to me. The funny thing is they cant produce the check they claim they sent to the dmv for $1409. They can only produce a copy of a check they sent to the Dmv for $800. Scandalous business. Just admit you made a mistake and make it right.

Mike Shaw's GM Frank, reached out to me post my review. He did everything he could to make the issues right. With Austin's help, they managed to make everything right today. They both worked very hard to try and make me happy today in a really poor situation and did suceed. I recommend getting in touch with Austin if you want to buy a Subie from Mike Shaw.

Bought a car in Jan, from Austin, who was great the entire process. Asked for GAP insurance, they didn't do that, which had left me screwed due to an accident that I didn't cause. Went in there today to basically be told not their problem.

Bought it from them a year ago for 20000. said they could make up the difference by adding money to the proposed lease. their offer: $400 a month for a lease! for the basic model. so much for the advertised $88 a month. thats more than i pay for the car i own. unfortunately you guys lost three yes three long time customers. the big issue is that they couldn't explain how they came up with the numbers. A few weeks ago I ordered seat-back protectors and had them shipped directly to the shop so they could install them. This week I called to see if they had arrived (expected to hear about this after only a few days), and the rep I spoke to in Parts told me that they had arrived a while ago, but the service order was never updated in the system for my order- so I didn't know they were there. He pushed it through while I was on the phone and a few minutes later I was set up with an appointment to come in for the install today.

When I got into the Service center today, Tim looked up the charge for installing the seat-back protectors, and after learning the price for install would be more than the actual cost of the parts, he told me I could just pick up the protectors and put them in myself. After I got the parts, Tim took the time to walk me through how I could do it on my own, and helped me.

Service center also gave me good tips for snow tires I should look into for this season!

They told me they could get the vehicle I wanted within 3 weeks and match the price of Flatirons Subaru in Boulder to lure me in over the phone. When I got there 3 weeks turned into 2 to 3 months and the price was 4k more than Flatiron Subaru sold me the vehicle for. Almost all dealerships are terrible so why would I bother giving them an additional 4k dollars for no reason when a comparable dealership within 10 miles will give me a far better deal for the exact same car within the same exact time frame? Went into Mike Shaw Subaru on Saturday after contacting them on Friday about the availability of a WRX. From the start, Tommy Lee was an absolute professional. Quickly handled all of my questions and politely and professionally guided me into the best decision for me. I felt like he was always listening and was able to address any questions I had. The best part of my experience was that I was in and out under 2 hours with my brand new car. Quickest car buying day I ve ever had and I will be sure to shop again at Mike Shaw Subaru. Buying cars here since 2004 spent over 200000$ on cars there's leasing buying, my whole family, just left today upset horrible customer service there parts and labor crew are LAZY to LAZY to pull a pin back to put on universal Subaru mud flaps. An idiot to be a Subaru tech was very suprised. My father Jose my mother Maria my uncle my brother WERE done you lost us cuz of your dumb tech.

Subaru is my family it's our families family ever since we came to Colorado from Los Angeles you've been our family, so it was hard to deal with a tech turning me down n away cuz it felt like family turning me away, Subaru followed up with me and made things right! They fix mistakes made and I'm so grateful for everyone there, Kathy, John, cliff, Dan people's, Domnic the tech and many more employees there are the best! So as a first time car buyer I went there knowing I'd probably get pretty walked on as far as interest rates go, and I know my credit affects things as well, all that aside I still can't phantom how a car they told me I could afford at 12,000, turned into a 17k loan with a 13.9% interest rate. Regardless I bit the bait because at the time had a job that could support, However after loosing the job I attempt to get out of my loan, I was able to pay a decent chunk off the loan but still was a thousand over market value but these guys offer me 5k for the car they got 16k off me. And the customer service could not have been any worse

So I ordered parts over the phone and the parts department promised that they would be in the following day. Two parts were in stock and one had to be ordered but it was promised to be there the next day. So I showed up and the parts worker had no record of the order, then after a few minutes they found the pieces that were in stock. However, the third piece was never ordered and the parts manager had the indecency to give me attitude. So instead of taking the two parts, I just left.
For the next customer, I would not advise you to go here. They are very disorganized and that's why my parts were not ordered. The parts manager gave me some nonsense where it was a computer error but when I talked to one the parts members he promised that both parts would be there. So they wasted about an hour of my time, go to another Subaru dealer! Save yourself the time, I am beyond disappointed by their staffing.

Got into two new Subarus over the last month. Christian helped my wife find the perfect car, and made the process quick and efficient. I worked with Cliff to get into an Ascent, and he even helped me find a way to maximize my trade-in outside of the dealership. Both Christian and Cliff went above and beyond anything I have experienced at a car dealership previously. When the time comes for a new vehicle, we will definitely be coming back to Mike Shaw.

In addition, shout out to Danny at service! We weren't expecting to trade in my wife's outback the day we got her new car, so we still had snow tires on the car when it was traded in. Danny pulled those off for me and put the stock tires back on without any pushback or issue. This dealership is great!

I would give a below 0 star if I could. This is the worst car buying experience I ever had. They sold us a Toyota Camry with severe transmission issues and I have to replace the transmission 3 months after I bought the car.

They had us test drive a different car and after signing all the paper works, they said they cannot give us the car for 2 more days. Their reasoning was that the car need to detailed again. When I went to pick up the car I told them it was not the car that I test drove but they convinced me that it was. It was very similar. Thinking that they are a reputable dealer, I thought I could trust them. But as soon as I drove off the lot, I knew that something was wrong. But the sales person (King Vang and Ricky Vang) said once you drove off the lot, they are not responsible for the car.

Initially my mechanic thought he could replace the torque converter. After the initial review one of the internet sales manager (Randon) offered me half the price for the repair instead of taking responsibility for selling me a damaged car. My car is in the shop now and the mechanic found out that he has to replace the whole transmission.

I will never go back to this dealer and I don't recommend anyone to go there.

I got THEE lemon of all lemons from here - 2012 Subaru Impreza. Within the first year the transmission failed, fluids in hoses coagulated, A/C quit out. Ended up with over $17,000 worth of repairs needed before even owning it for a year. It was in the Mike Shaw Service Center from early November to mid January of 2020 before I got it back. I ve just had to bring it back due to the A/C not working although this was an issue said to be fixed and already paid for at the prior appointment.

As if this wasn t all bad enough, the tacked on $2,500 fee for handling made this whole deal a lot worse, if you have other options of dealerships-go somewhere else.

The stars are because there are still a lot of good people working there, very nice/friendly.

Today my wife and I bought a new vehicle. Tevon Vara and Austin Elzinga were the two sales reps that helped us out. They were great. They're both straight shooters and cut to the chase with us which is how I like to do business. They were very professional. They knew their product and their process inside and out. They answered questions for us before we even knew to ask. I've had mixed car buying experiences before but this one was a breeze. I'd definitely do business with them again.

I just had my car's service check and it was such a wonderful experience! They handled everything so smoothly! I was able to run and get some coffee while they changed my oil and rotated my tires. And it only took 45 minutes! I felt like I was in and out in no time! I would also highly recommend the sales team. Oj was fantastic and since buying my car in June, he has answered any questions I send his way. Great people over there! Thank you!

Came here on Friday to get my 2018 Impreza oil changed and everything filled up waited an hour and 40 minutes to only find out when I get home that none of my fluids were topped off and now I'm not even sure if the oil was changed. I have called back 3 and 4 * leaving voicemails with still no return call I understand it's the holiday weekend but I feel like this is serious. I except to get what I pay for!!!

Took my Suby in for a recall (apparently the passenger side airbag inflator could explode due to moisture corruption and murder everyone inside- slight exaggeration but it needed to be fixed).

They got me a shuttle to my house and were able to arrange a pickup for me as well, which was super convenient. They quoted me about 3 hours for the job and that's about how long it took.

They didn't try to sell me on any additional services, and everyone I interacted with was very professional and courteous. If you have recalls that need addressing, I'd definitely recommend coming here!

We went to test drive the new Ascent after deliberating about a new SUV for quite a few months. We had previously been to Jeep and were so put off by the lack of professionalism and poor attitudes toward helping us that we walked out. So obviously we were pretty apprehensive going into another dealership expecting the same. To our surprise, that was not the case. Keith T. met us and showed us exactly what we were looking for, presented our options, was fully knowledgeable, and patiently answered all of our questions. We weren't committed to/planning on leasing or buying that day, but we felt so comfortable with our experience that we decided to go for it. The car, the customer service, the atmosphere, and the experience were all 10/10. We would absolutely recommend Keith and the Mike Shaw Subaru team to anyone looking for a vehicle.

I wanted to make a quick, relatively painless decision (I don't really enjoy the protracted negotiations around car buying), so after my first visit I arranged to come back to the dealership after work for a final test drive and negotiation.

I'll start by saying that I had glowingly positive experiences with most individuals at Mike Shaw Subaru -- notably with Allie, Mike, and Matt. However, during my follow-up visit I was paired with Dusty and my experience was horrible -- almost laughable, on par with an SNL skit if it hadn't been happening in real life.

My friend and I rode on an Outback test drive with Dusty. I had done the standard internet research but was still indecisive and actually wanted the sales pitch on features, comparisons between models, etc. Dusty was totally unhelpful in this regard. I had to proactively ask informed questions to fill the enormous vacuum of silence as I drove. At one point he mentioned that he was from Boulder and my friend politely asked, "Oh, how did you end up moving to Thornton?" and he just replied, "It's a long story." I guarantee it's neither long nor interesting, but okay. Hoping to draw out information, I asked what his take was on the oil consumption in Foresters based on issues with the 2011-2013 models. He brushed me off, saying, "Every brand has its quirks" -- this would be an okay (if vague) answer, if I hadn't been referring to a class action lawsuit that he was clearly unaware of.

The kicker was when we pulled back into the parking lot. At this point Dusty starts to tell me that they don't begin to discount these cars from MSRP at all because they're so popular that they just fly off the lot. (Even if this is true in Colorado, it makes Subaru sound arrogant.) I turn to him, having been put through this routine before, and say that I don't negotiate from MSRP, but from dealer invoice or true dealer cost. I also note that I checked TrueCar right before walking in, and there are several dealer quotes that are below MSRP on this model in this area, so that doesn't really seem to gel with what he's telling me. Dusty, clearly threatened and peeved, interrupts me and says, "First of all, I'm a TrueCar certified dealer, and second of all, if you'd let me finish.." -- I don't know what was said after that because my friend and I were too busy picking our jaws off the floor.

My friend and I both work/have worked in client service roles and we were shocked by Dusty's unprofessional behavior. Even if we had been ignorant, loud, bulldozing customers, which we weren't, the role of a salesperson is to listen and be helpful. Particularly when the customer is making a huge purchase decision and getting ready to write a check for thousands of dollars.

As I said, nothing against the other sales reps I worked with who were professional and a delight, but I was so turned off by this one experience that I went to Mazda and wrapped up my business there.

Steven was great!!! They helped me finish a job that got started down in san antonio and did all they could to make it happen. I will be coming back to get more parts and other things done to my wrx.
