Tried to overcharge us $6000 on an $11,000 car! If I hadn t pulled out my phone and done my own math we might ve made payments for an entire additional year. Glad I checked. They are thieves just like most car dealerships. My advise is to get pre-approved with your own loan preferably from your regular bank. Then do the math and make sure that aren t screwing you.

I just bought a car there and wish I had just walked away the car is nice, but not for the price the said my payments were $264 called a week ago and said my payments were $377 wtf! Yeah they lied to me and now im stuck paying these assholes.
I have been to several dealerships in the area over the past few weeks, but my experience at Mike Shaw was by far the best. Dusty Gilman was incredibly knowledgeable and personable--it was extremely refreshing not to be subjected to the monomaniacal hard sell; Dusty seemed genuinely interested in my concerns and was not overbearing or aggressive which is usually unavoidable. I am still considering a Prius, but if I choose to go with Subaru I would not want to deal with anyone else.

Had been taking my Subaru here since I bought it (2016). Conveniently, as business tanks over quarantine, a potential recall notice appeared so they text me...several time a day. There is no open recall. Run my VIN. You have it. When I replied STOP they immediately emailed me to ask to schedule service. NOT how you conduct business. You had my business. When I have time AFTER quarantine. Now I ll find another less greedy service dept.
I have had my car serviced there and they are great, in person. I have been happy with that. But.... don't bother trying to call to get info, every single time I call I have been on hold 10 to 15 minutes! that is unacceptable. the front desk then says well they have to talk to their customers in the dealership, before taking phone calls? What..... I AM A CUSTOMER.

I originally went into Mike Shaw Subaru to fix my 2010 Forester, and much to my surprise, it needed about as much work as it was worth. Beth in the service department directed me to a man named Keith who helped me trade in my vehicle and drive away with a 2018 Forester in a matter of hours. He listened to my needs and was genuinely looking out for my best interest. Keith understood that I was a teacher with a budget and worked as hard as he could to get me into a safe vehicle. To anyone looking for a good service and/or buying experience, I would highly suggest working with Beth (service) and Keith (sales) at Mike Shaw Subaru! They are awesome! ...I would also like to add that the receptionist, Pam, was an incredibly lovely woman as well. All around, such a good place :)
Keith Traczynski was an excellent sales person. We went to buy a car for our daughter who will soon be driving. Keith patiently test drove multiple vehicles with us. He helped us find something that would be safe for a first time driver and not cost a fortune. Keith listened to our daughter and to us and helped us find something that met everyone's criteria! Purchased a 2017 Subaru crosstrek from this dealer through Jaime. Purchase was easy, drove several cars throughout the course of the day. Once I decided on a vehicle we negotiated l a payment and I was on my way. Easiest car I've ever purchased yet.
I tried to shop for a used vehicle at this dealership twice, and both time I had a unsatisfactory experience. The first time I went there, I was shown a used vehicle that I was interested in, and when I asked to test drive it they claimed to not be able to find the keys and proceeded to show me a different more expensive used vehicle that I was not interested in.
Then a couple of weeks later I decided that it was probably an honest mistake and returned because they had another vehicle that I was interested in. 30 minutes before went in, I checked with them and was told that was still available. I came in and told them the vehicle I wanted to take a look at. They spent 20 minutes searching the vehicle on the lot, then came back and told me that it was not available. Then they proceeded to try an up sell me a new vehicle that they claimed they were giving me a great deal on. Needless to say a left and will not be shopping here again!

I wouldn't recommend the service department. My car was there for two weeks and I had to initiate any communication. When I went to get the car the issue I had taken it in for was still not repaired.

Everyone should shop at Mike Shaw Subaru! I leased a new car a few months ago and had a great experience with the sales and service department. I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted, so I was happy. Unfortunately, two months later I was in an accident and the vehicle was totaled. As soon as the insurance claim settled, I went back to Mike Shaw and had another great experience. Given my situation, they really worked with me to get the car I wanted and kept my monthly payment basically the same (I think it went up $3). It wasn't your typical car buying experience -- there was no pressure and everyone I worked with was helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. I would highly recommend Mike Shaw!

One would think that buying a car would be simple, even with current pandemic restrictions, but that was not our experience initially. We were in need of purchasing a new Forester (our 3rd one and 5th Subaru). Dealers from Colorado Springs to Denver stated they were eager to help but even getting a simple return phone call or follow up seemed too difficult for them. We decided to give it one last go and called up Mike Shaw Subaru. By the luck of the draw I worked with Alex. He returned calls, sent me texts, communicated with me throughout the process (even on his day off). He provided the follow up, answered questions, and made the process seamless. We reserved our car over the phone, made an appointment for the in-person meeting and pick up of the car for a few days later (a Saturday nonetheless), and we were in and out with a new car in less than 90 minutes. The entire staff was great and worked efficiently! All things being considered, if Alex had not been there to help when we first called, we may have considered another manufacturer. Alex's professionalism, work ethic, and customer service was exemplary! If you need a Subaru, don't think twice about going to Mike Shaw's. Ask for Alex, you won't be disappointed.

I had an "appointment" that was actually just a time they wanted me to come in and drop off my car. They weren't actually going to be able to start work on it right away, completely defeating the purpose of an appointment. However, after that hiccup, they were very helpful and friendly, offered me water, gave me a free ride to my home and picked me up again when my car was ready.
We stopped in here to drive a used Outback and worked with Scott (salesperson) and Gabe (manager). Scott was a pleasure to work with, very customer focused and conscientious. We had a little mix-up and Gabe stepped in to make it right and we ended up buying a new Outback from Mike Shaw Subaru. They had to get the car from another dealer so we stopped in the next day to pick it up. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We would recommmend Mike Shaw as a business to buy from.
My mom was there to buy a car for my brother. She brought a wrx sti, with paid off cash. She don't know much English but she wanted to buy a car asap so that my brother for his new job promotion. If there is - stars that's what I would have gave them they were disrespectful to her because her English isn't good, when I was talking to the sales rep he would hang up on me when I am talking to him.
She didn't want the extended warranty they were asking her why not and she should buy it.
1) I hate people being disrespectful to people just because there English isn't good they are trying.
2) this is the 21st Centry if someone says no it means no!!!
3) they didn't offer her any water or anything while being there 6 hours. I have news, Toyota, and Chevys never once from them I don't get offered a bottle or water.
I don't know where is the 4 stars come from but worst customer service. To me I bet it's to give a free clear bra for giving them a 5 star or something like that. For sure I will be back talking to them, or returning the car. Please take your business elsewhere because these people don't know how to treat others with English as there second language!!

My husband and I went to Mike Shaw not sure if we were ready to buy. Randon in Sales and Alex in Finance were amazing! When our original sales person had to step out and a difference sales person took over, there was definitely some communication issues and we were about ready to leave. However, Randon stepped in and made sure things were perfect! They made the end experience fun and we ended up leaving with a 2019 Subaru WRX that we love. We were "passing through" Denver a couple of weeks ago and saw a car here that fit our needs. My experience with Austin who sold us the car was great. In/out within about an hour. But what happened afterward is why I'm writing this review.
When we got back to Kansas City we found that one of the wheels on the car was bent on the inside were we didn't see it on the lot. They could have said "Sorry, we sold it As Is." But after explaining the situation to management, they agreed to send me a check to cover the cost to replace the wheel.
They didn't have to do this. The fact the did made me happy that I did business with them. Those who take care of their customers earn the respect of those who still care about such things. If you are in the market for a car, you should give these folks a look.
Didnt have a very good experience. Was told there was nothing they could do for us and that all the co-signers had to be in the same house to even be looked at for financing. Basically kept telling us no matter where we went no one would help us or finance us and that they wouldnt even begin to know how to help someone in our situation.
I guess they just dont have the right people and banks, because we went next door to Larry H. Miller Nissan to try again and we all had a good laugh at them and got set up with some good options. They worked a while with us and said theres no way they wont find something for us. So if you dont have luck here go next door!

I have never bought a new car from a dealership because usually I feel that they are trying to trick you or scam you in some way. Not here!! Amos was so comforting and understanding with every possible concern I had when buying. He made this experience so pain free and made sure I tried all of my options before deciding. He even made me feel like it was okay to think on it for a night and honored the deal we had come to the day prior. I would never buy a car from anyone other than Amos at Mike Shaw!! Just took my car to the service department and the staff back there was very friendly. They found a couple things that could be repaired as well as what I went in for, but I didn t want to get them done at this time as they were not pushy at all. Sometimes service departments will try to strong arm you into extra stuff, and that was not the impression I got at all. My repair went well, and turn around time was great, and after instructions were perfect as well. Would go to the service department here again.
Customer Service is impeccable, particularly from Dan in the Service Dept... he s helped me every time with my vehicle actually. His attention to detail, extensive knowledge, honesty and *ability to explain things to me on a level that I ll understand (*which is the most important thing to me when having anything done on my car) are the reasons I ll keep returning. He was able to gain my trust from the first time I needed my car serviced & has now gained my loyalty as a result!

Went in for a synthetic oil change. Jay greeted me and got me checked in. He even showed me to the waiting room. They were very busy so it took a little longer then I would have liked. The waiting room was nice and they had refreshments so the wait wasn't that bad. Jay was very nice and I think I will take my Subaru there next time.
I bought a 2016 toyota 4 runner 3 months ago at this dealership. The horn stopped working so I called to see if it was still covered under warranty and also made an appointment for an oil change. The lady at the service desk said she was unsure if the horn was under warranty but she made an appointment and said if it was not covered she would call me back. I received no call and showed up for my appointment. They then told me it was not covered under warranty and also they could not do an oil change on a toyota. Thanks for wasting my time and letting me battle traffic on a wednesday morning! Will never deal with this dealership again. Very poor business practices.
When I bought my car in 2012 I became part of a family with Mike Shaw Subaru. Every time I have had my car serviced it has been such a wonderful experience. Stephen Cadwallader and the service team are very accommodating and knowledgeable and go above and beyond my expectations. I've had two incidents where I needed to be seen right away, and both times they have gotten me in and taken care of with the upmost service. I feel so fortunate to be a customer of Mike Shaw Subaru and would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for a reliable dealship.

What I've appreciated the most was that Cliff has continue to follow up with me since that time to make sure I've been happy with the car and recommended someone to help me after the hail storm we had a few weeks ago. That goes a lot now a days where often times you don't get that customer service we feel as consumers we deserve.
