I had been noticing exhaust coming into the cabin through the vent of our 2015 Outback, which another mechanic said would be covered under a warranty at a dealership. I went to Shortline because we had purchased the vehicle there. Upon entering there, they immediately started telling me how it was likely our fault and they would be charging us $125 just to diagnose it. This was the final straw for going to them and completely regret ever buying the vehicle there. I called Mike Shaw and talked to Matt in Service. He walked me through the process and told me how they would start as if this was an issue covered by warranty and go from there. He was super easy to work with and understood that I was a bit concerned that our catalytic converter had an issue when the car was only 3 years old. They determined it was something faulty on the part itself and covered it under warranty. If you are looking to buy a Subaru or just need to get something taken care of, GO TO MIKE SHAW SUBARU, NOT SHORTLINE! They will be so much easier to work with and will ensure that you are happy when you leave!

Shady dealer. Bought a vechicle here and low and behold the ole call back the next day to re-sign the contract because they couldn t get that rate they approved you the day before. Snuck new terms in the contract. I would recommend avoiding completely. Also bad experiences with their parts and service department.

After only having the car for a week, I got a non-repairable flat tire. Alex Comar, from Mike Shaw Subaru was very enjoyable and easy to work with! He was very informative about his inventory and went above and beyond to fulfill our custom requests! Alex was very patient with me, my wife, and my 1 year old son, in order to ensure that we walked out the door, completely satisfied! We ended up leasing a Subaru Forester, with a brown leather interior, specially inserted, for a remarkable price! There was never any nagging, signs of annoyance, nor beating around the bush with Alex. He was very considerate, up-front, and helpful to work with. Had an 11 am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation, and was quoted about an hour and a half. The time is now 2:20 pm, and upon inquiring, was informed that the tire rotation had still not yet begun. Super disappointed. Won t be coming back.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! The sales people were nice of course and they got me into a 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX. Well so begins the problems. They sold me a car that I had to replace the battery within 2 weeks of owning the car. The guys at AutoZone were suprised the car would even start. Than when I went to get my plates nearly 2 months later the paperwork wasn't in so I had to pay to get my temporary plates extended. They sold me on a warrenty that multiple associates assured me would cover the timing belt and guess what it didnt. They are liars just looking to make a sale. The cars they sell are not of good quality and let me assure you they will tell you anything to make a buck. Silly me for not doing my homework but i will NEVER go there again.

Bought a car next door today and the experience there was "fine." We managed to lock the keys in the Subaru we came in so we literally ran next door to Mike Shaw Subaru parts department to see if they could help.

Paul from parts cut us a key from a partial VIN and walked back to our car with us to verify our vehicle registration against our IDs and make sure we got in.

He was so helpful and friendly, it made me wish we hadn't bought yet, because I would have bought from Mike Shaw. We'll definitely be using them for service on our Subaru in the future.

I just recently bought a subaru from car max. Ended up having an issue with the vehicle roughly a month after buying. Called carmax and it turned into a complete hassle. Even with their maxcare they would not even take a look at my vehicle for 16 days. I ended up calling the Mike Shaw subaru to have them take a look at my vehicle. The entire experience blew me away. From the initial phone call to the completion of service on the vehicle. Everything was quick and transparent. The people were amazing and the service was like non other in comparison to any car company or dealership I have ever experienced. In all honesty my only regret is that I did not buy the SUV with them. They turned what was becoming a huge incovenince into a hassle free, quick experience. I can't thank them enough for their incredible service! Thank you to everyone in the service department!

Parts department overcharges on parts and service. Other dealers in the area are cheaper and if you don t believe me. Check yourself. Parts about 25% higher when ordering over the phone. Order online and avoid mike shaw. Paint services for parts are over charged at about 50%. Take it from a Subaru Ambassador and avoid this dealer.

I bought a CPO Subaru at Mike Shaw this week and it was a great experience! My salesman was Gabe B. He gave me a great deal and didn t pressure me at all. Had no problem with letting me drive the car off the lot to be inspected by my own mechanic. Mostly he just talked to me like a normal person, which I really appreciated. My car needed some detailing done before I could pick it up and Gabe has been very responsive about making sure it gets in and letting me know where everything is at. My finance guy was Josh and he was good too. He let me take my time reading through the contracts so I knew what was I signing and was very patient about answering any questions I had. 100% would recommend buying a car at Mike Shaw.

About a year ago I bought a used Honda Civic that needed new tires, from an individual. A friend who worked in your parts department at the time suggested that I buy them from you. I did, and was very pleased with the service and all the individuals I had contact with. I knew you offered free rotation for tires bought through you. So, a few weeks ago when I "dropped in" for the tire rotation, I discovered you could also do oil changes and other repairs. Since you are very convenient for me, I'm ecstatic to discover your service department, even though I don't drive a Subaru. Thank you Stephen for taking such good care of me. I'll be back!

My daughter and I had gone to several dealerships over the course of 3 weeks. Each time we felt like they were not telling us the truth. Sometimes even catching them in lies as they spoke.

This didn't happened at Mike Shaw. We were met by a wonderful young man named Hutch. I felt he listened to what we were looking for and directed us to the cars they had that fitted our wants and needs. We went on test drives. In the end, Hutch directed us to just the right car for my daughter! Purchasing the car was made painless. I think that was because Hutch's boss and manager, Dan, certainly understands that we didn't want the hassle of the back & forth buying process. I think he gives you the lowest price that he can. I really appreciate that! Even the finance guy, Greg, was able to write up the purchase documents without trying to skin out hides! You could not go wrong if you were to buy a car at Mike Shaw. I highly recommend Hutch, Dan & Greg. I even plan to bring the car there for regular maintenance and any problems it might have. Thanks Mike Shaw!

Everyone at the the Dealership was friendly, courteous and helpful. This was particularly true of the two individuals we dealt with most: Keith, the salesman, and Brandon, the Finance Manager. Keith quickly understood what we were looking for in a vehicle and made the purchase process simple and pleasant. We wanted a color which was not currently in stock. Keith didn't not push us to buy an different color (we wouldn't have). Rather, he immediately searched for that color at other dealers and, when he couldn't find one, promptly took us through the process of ordering one. When the car arrived, he took the time to explain the different features many of which were new to us.

Worst service ever! If you could possibly even call it service. One, I called beforehand to avoid any miscommunication, know what to do, and not have to drive to a place that isn't going to service me. Two, I arrive and not only do I feel uncomfortable as I'm waiting on one of the 4 available employees eager to help to ask what I need but then when I am asked what I need I am treated like an idiot and get the most rude service on top of letting me know they take my business for granted. We bring our Subaru's here for oil changes, recalls, and maintenance. Been happy with this location overall.
We've had some miscommunications though. One time we were there for a recall by appointment, we were supposed to have a loaner car while the car was being worked on (3hours). The day of the appointment they didn't have a car loaner, said they never reserved one, so my husband had to wait the 3hours.
Another time we went in for a free alignment check, they went ahead and performed the alignment without letting us know the results, it explains the long wait. We went to ask about our car and they told my husband it was ready. I was told an alignment needed to be done, and we had to pay the $100. Usually they come and find you or something, even when they have been super busy. but this was skipped completely. Mostly just communication issues, otherwise they've treated us great and never had any issues with their work.
Thanks for working on and fixing our Subaru's!

Mike Shaw Subaru's service department has gone above and beyond every time we bring our Outback in. They have done the work I couldn't do myself and left me the parts to do the easy stuff on my own. Chris Sparks even got a service tech, Richard, to offer some advice. The prices are much lower than mountain dealerships and include much more. We will continue to drive down from the mountains to have our vehicle serviced at Mike Shaw Subaru.

Very disappointed with my whole experience after buying my car. It's been 3 weeks and still no payoff on my trade in. I have spoken with the title clerk and left two messages I was assured that it would be payed off and still nothing. I may end up with a late fee if they don't get it together. Also my tint I had done turned out terrible and had to be redone. Going in tomorrow for the re install on the tint. Really hope it turns out well in the end because so far it has been a nightmare.

Two years ago I bought a new Impreza from Mike Shaw that immediately needed an engine repair. I did not want a new car that had engine problems, so I traded it for a new Crosstrek. last week I was informed that it also needs a new engine! I had purchased the extended warranty, BUT what they don't tell you about the extended warranty is that they will repair your vehicle with used parts from a junk yard. The warranty will only cover a used engine from who knows where. They did say I could cover the difference if I wanted a new engine, a $4000 difference! it took the warranty department 7 days to decide they were going to replace the defective engine. I was told that if they do not cover it, the cost was going to be over $6000 so I stressed about this all week. I called Mike Shaw service center and was told they have had good and bad experience with used engines. GREAT! Just what I wanted to hear. I left a message for the sales manager to call me back about my experience with Subaru, but did not get a call back. My opinion, DO NOT BUY A SUBARU!! Everything on a Subaru is cheap except the cost!

Very easy car buying experience! I went one cold and snowy day and Keith scraped ice and snow so we could test drive an Ascent- because what better weather is there to test drive a Subaru in?? He was very kind and knowledgeable about the car. I left but came back to buy a few days later and it was a super easy experience. Granted I did my homework and was a very well read buyer, but I never felt pressure and he and his manager were totally transparent with pricing. Got an excellent price and financing was a breeze.... and we were done in under 3 hours:) can t wait to pick up my new Subaru!!
