Still waiting on a response back from the whole team there at Mike Shaw. Went back in today to drop off my car and was promised a loaner. As promised a loaner was unavailable until next week. Not only that the tech who was suppose to work on my car only works Monday thru Wednesday? Why schedule me on a Thursday? Second wasted trip in the past 2 and a half weeks. I waited 2 weeks just to get the car looked at. Tech confirmed the sound and a month later here we are with no work even attempted on the car. I as well have been trying to get my multi point inspection paperwork from last time. Turns out it was never filled out. Not feeling confident in the whole team right now. I asked to speak to a manager today but you guys don't have one available on Thursdays? I bought this 18 Forester a year ago and now it has a horrible grinding sound when it is in idle.

Update 10/10: Here we are over month later and the problem still hasn't been resolved. I've contacted manager after manager to try and get this expedited with no luck. Andrew, I have called and left multiple messages and never has the time to talk. Either in a meeting or just simply doesn't care. We finally figured out a needed a whole new exhaust on my year old forester. We order the exhaust and after a week it comes in. I come to show up for my appointment and they ended up selling the exhaust....call back to try and re order it after no luck with any service advisor the parts manager said there was never any activity on my account and I'm better off ordering from O Reilly Autoparts myself. I tried this and turns out I have to order it thru Subaru!!! So much time wasted. Beyond frustrated I just want my car fixed. Instead of asking me to take my review down MULTIPLE times how about you guys actually get it together!

All the staff were friendly from the moment I walked through the door, and even though it is an awkward time to buy a car with the global pandemic, the dealership was well prepared. All the staff members were very considerate with social distancing and every employee was wearing a face covering.

Wanted to update this review since bringing my car in to the dealership yesterday. They went above and beyond, and really took the worry away from a recent experience.
I have been going in to Mike Shaw every 3 to 4k to get my oil changed on my new 16 STI I bought last year. Sunday I had the car leak oil in the driveway randomly. After inspecting, I saw it burst out the sides of the filter for some reason. I noticed that the oil was a lot darker than usual, especially for how often I bring it in.I decided I would change the oil myself knowing I had to work the next day. Drained the extra dark oil out, and flushed some clean oil through the top of the system, while watching for it to come out the drain plug and empty filter whole. To my alarm nothing came out. After adding 1qt in the top it finally came out the bottom but only after pushing some darker oil out first. Knowing this should not look like this, and concerned maybe the filter was not replaced last time I reached out to the dealership. I was really worried about the car. They were able to get me in immediately to check on my car and look over everything. Inspected the oil that was in it, and also looked for reasons the filter may have leaked. They added a cleaner to the oil, and we ran it for 20 minutes before flushing it + adding new oil and another filter. Inspected the bottom of the oil pan in and around the drain plug, and it seems to be ok. They even cleaned up some of the oil that got on other parts under the car. I expressed my worries and they were very helpful. I will be going back in within another 1k miles to get another oil change and have things inspected further. The dealership really went out of their way to take care of this. I was very impressed. :-)

He had the car we were interested in ready for us to look at and drive before we arrived and answered all our questions professionally and honestly. We had a few minor concerns about the car which he quickly had his service team address. We saw, tested, and purchased a car all in 2.5 hours and felt comfortable the entire time.

I was reviewing options for an upcoming purchase for my daughter. I briefly discussed that I was looking for a newer, slightly-used vehicle for my daughter to Oja, and he suggested a New Impreza Lease. At $120 (the price was great! Given the popularity of the deal, they were out of stock at Mike Shaw. However, I was pleasantly surprised how quickly Oja was able to locate one for me. Within 24 hours, he drove up to another location, got it into Detail, and we were ready to drive away that same day! He was thorough in explaining the Lease, as well as the Eyesight Safety features we chose. Fantastic Sales Experience with Oja.

Steven is bad***. My first time going to Subaru made me nervous because I was expecting them to try to get over on me. That was not the case here. Steven communicated with me every step of the way so there were no surprises walking in to pick my car up. I highly recommend the extended warranty they offer for used cars. This was the 2nd Subaru (we now own 3!) we have purchased thru Mike Shaw and we have been loyal customers there for 15+ years for all of our Subaru care and maintenance. As always the staff is friendly, courteous, and makes the buying process as simple as possible. Our sales associate, Christian Carreon, was a really nice guy, with a great sense of humor, and he is extremely knowledgeable about what he's selling. He helped us thru the entire process from internet browsing to leaving the lot with that new car smell invading our senses. We are so glad we have a local Subaru dealer who has a genuine interest in treating customers right!

Do not buy a car from here! I bought a car from here at the end of August and was promised that I would get touch up paint along with my car, and it is now October 20, and I still do not have my touch up paint. That aside, I bought a stick shift and whenever I shift to 4th it shakes uncontrollably, and now my computer radio system is malfunctioning and it will beep incessantly and forward through songs, so now I can t listen to music because it will even try to forward through radio stations, it just does it on its own without any provocation or touching from me. It was working fine and now all the sudden it doesn t work. Called more than once trying to get a response on the paint issue, and no one will call me back. Even though I ve been promised that they would. The customer service is terrible. They don t care about their customers once you buy.

Update: scheduled a service appointment this morning. I was told I could get paint from the service department and was told that I could not by the woman who answered the phone in service. And she was also extremely rude and you could tell she could care less about her job. She didn t listen when I told her of the many problems and all she cared about was getting my email address before I could even finish scheduling the appointment. She basically hung up on me at the end of the call.

For the most part, I don't mind my experiences at Mike Shaw. I mean, it's probably as good as it gets for car shopping. And the Service Team is fantastic. I've worked with a number of different reps there and they are always super kind and fair.

My only bad example was from last week. I got a flat sometime Thursday evening on my way home from work. I ended up figuring it out when I threw my Subaru Legacy into reverse pulling out of the garage flying out the door on my way to work. Wrong. Flat as effff. So I called Mike Shaw and the fella on the phone said "Absolutely, no problem. We will fit you in." Even better, I already had a quote for a super fair price for some good 75,000 mile Continental Tires last time I had gotten my oil changed. So we went with that.

Turns out they didn't get the car done that night. Well, understood. I did throw it at them last minute and I get it, things get busy. Whatever. So they said it would be done by 1030am when we would be piling into the Subaru after classes at the gym etc to head up to Winter Park for a concert overnight. But it wasnt. They called at at 1030am and said it'd be ready in 30 minutes. Well I didn't believe them by then and was pretty pissed and wasn't really afraid to tell them. To compound things we weren't going to be home until super late Sunday night and they were acting like it was a total inconvenience that I needed them to leave the keys in the car and I would have to pay them over the phone.

So they called back later that afternoon at like 1 or 130pm to say the car was done (right - 35 minutes later) . To apologize they did end up giving us a small but completely fair and reasonable discount on the service. I wouldn't have minded so much except that they were stringing me along a bit for my business. I run a business too, so I feel like I would rather "under promise and over deliver " rather than whatever the hell happened that day.

That is pretty much the exception though to my experiences. I've always been greeted warmly and welcome and offered complimentary beverages and the WiFi password or the remote control or whatever. The prices aren't unreasonable and I know they do a good job. I'd go back, but only because I'm not super into going to those huge huge nationwide corporations that only do a piece of the maintenance. I'm willing to pay a little more for the reliability and quality work.

Soon as i showed interest in a car she brought papers in and told me to sign them and didn t explain what they were. I had to ask questions multiple times to get somewhat of an answer. Tried to keep me in her office when i asked to step out. And then followed me outside and approached my car when i had decided to leave because she made me extremely uncomfortable. Very unprofessional and dishonest salesperson. Mike Shaw seemed like a nice dealership however this person ruined it for me and i ended up going elsewhere

Jonathan Sanchez made the whole process so easy. He was patient, sensitive to my situation and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I was planning on "just looking", but after we test drove a couple of things and an awesome deal was struck, I drove off the lot with a 2014 Impreza.

I couldn't be more happy with the car and my experience at Mike Shaw Subaru. The whole dealership had a lot of positive energy and the finance part of it was a breeze. Jose was very personable and we flew through the paperwork with no pressure to add on anything else. We bought a 2019 Ascent and love many things about it. The one thing we DO NOT is the MPG. We have carefully monitored the MPG in all sorts of circumstances, even trying to drive at the speed limit on cruise control for several hours in 8th speed in the manual mode. That is where we got the best MPG at 19.2. At no other time have we been close to that. Our average has been 17.2 city and 18.8 highway, which are very different numbers from what the window sticker numbers showed. We have tried endlessly to work with this dealership and have had little to no help and having tried to communicate to management and specifically the sales manager, we have yet to hear back from them.

I bought my car in Jan of 2011, I had researched before going and knew exactly what car I wanted. The salesman (Tim) was fine and the sales process was okay. Finance was okay, Steve was a likeable guy and overall everything was painless... Until I needed to use my windshield warranty. There were some issues with the paperwork and then what it covered, a giantly big hassle with lots of calls. In the end Jonathan Susser (service director) contacted me and got everything straightened out. He got my windshield replaced and put me on a different warranty at not additional cost to me. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out and how the people at the dealership handled things. Proves that my purchase of a subaru @ mike shaw was the right choice

My wife and I bought our first new car from Mike Shaw one year ago, a 2015 Forester XT. We were very impressed with the low pressure friendly atmosphere. We test drove 6-7 different vehicles at Mike Shaw, some used from other manufactures, before finally deciding on our forester. We were given a good deal on our trade and had a great over all buying experience.

-Recently, We brought our Forester in to Mike Shaw for a factory recall that required the dealer to keep it for a few days. Tim at the service desk made sure we were well taken care of and informed. We were given a brand new loaner Outback, and received daily status updates. This was the best dealer experience I have ever had. When we picked up our car we were even given a tour of the amazing service facilities, I'm a bit of a gear head so this was really cool!

I would highly recommend Mike Shaw for all your Subaru needs!!! great team!!!

I'm sure many don't enjoy car buying, but I got my new Subaru in 2015 and had a great experience with them throughout the process, even though I was extremely tired and exhausted that day. Out of all of the dealerships I visited on 104th (pretty much all but 2 of them), Mike Shaw Subaru was the best group of people I got to work with. I even got my boyfriend to get his new car there, too. The service department has always been great. You let them know of any concerns and they'll look it over and take care of it. I've been recommending people to go to Mike Shaw Subaru if they're looking for a new car or to service their current one. Thanks!

I purchased a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder in June 2017, I took it to emissions and it failed due to a catalytic converter and other issues. I took it immediately back to the dealer to have it repaired as their legal obligation within the 30 days. It sat at their dealership 1-2 weeks after being told by numerous staff members that the work was being done and that it is difficult to have a catalytic converter replaced and that was why it was taking so long. I even had to have a car loaned to us because of said work being done. When I picked up the vehicle I was told By the sales rep Carson that I'd receive proof of the work that was done. Nope proof never sent. Now here I am 3 months later with the same issue on my vehicle. I called the dealership and spoke to manager Gabriel Bustos who states the work was NEVER done on this vehicle. Why would it have sat at their shop and been promised by numerous members of management and staff both-sales and finance that the work was being done to only find out it NEVER WAS!!! I am beyond frustrated and will post reviews for this dealer ship everywhere that I can. I will also investigate what I can due further. The lies the deception and the disappointment!!!

I recently purchased a 2018 Subaru Outback 3.6R from Mike Shaw Subaru and wanted to share my experience. I m new to the area and started to bring my other 2 Subarus in to Mike Shaw for Service. I used my service experiences there to gauge whether I would return there to purchase my next vehicle. There was one hiccup with a tire rotation about a year ago that involved a blown tire, scratched rims, and some missing lugs and lug key. It s a long story and I won t bore you with it, but know that it was handled very professionally by the service manager. I was so impressed that I wrote a review and vowed to purchase my next Subaru from them.

Fast forward one year. I walked in the front door of Mike Shaw and was greeted by Alex Comar, one of their sales representatives. We chatted about what I was looking for and proceeded with some test drives. Alex was very professional, knowledgeable, and best of all, he wasn t pushy. An aspect that usually sends me running for the door with most salespeople. I left there not feeling pressured, etc. I had a few more test drives of other vehicles scheduled that day. After it was all over, my time with Alex and the 3.6R Outback was the best experience of the day. I emailed him a request for a detailed quote. He responded quickly with a fair offer. I went in later that day to finish the transaction. I was not planning on buying a car that day, but Alex really made the whole experience straightforward and painless. Overall, I d highly recommend Mike Shaw Subaru and I m hoping all of my future transactions with them go as smoothly.

Had a 10:00 appt. for a recall, but when I arrived was asked if I could leave my car overnight since they might not get to it until the next day. I asked if I could take my car and bring it back in the morning. I was told that I would lose my spot and would have 70 other vehicles in front of me. What? After some protest, I was told they would really try to get it in before the end of the day which they did. The same thing happened a previous time I took my vehicle in for a recall. Apparently recall service gets bumped even when you make an appt. They will NOT get my business when I purchase my next vehicle.

Cliff Swain helped me purchase a new 2020 subaru impreza and by far he was the greatest person I could have asked for! The process of buying a car is sometimes a hassle but he definitely made the process as easy as it could have been. the original car I was looking at had a set of racks and he knew I wanted them so he gave me a set of racks for free and even got someone to put them on for me. He made the process of car buying so easy. I was in and out in three hours! I couldn t be more thankful and I will be recommending everyone to go see him!!

Randon Givens was awesome. I made an inquiry online and received a call a few minutes later. He asked about what I was looking for and what I wanted and didn t want. He was very conscious of our budget and didn t show any cars over budget. We told him our bottom line and he made it happen. We walked out with the best car and a great experience. The finance guy that we worked with was awesome as well. He was incredibly kind and patient. One less sleazy car salesman that this world needed.
