From all my 3 experiences at MIke Shaw Subaru I can say this was the one I felt more confident and happy about my new vehicle decision. Zach Elkins had the right answers for all the questions I had about the car I was interested in and the trade-in process. I never felt under pressure or uncomfortable which definitely helped me making up my mind with no doubts in between. I m very happy with my new Outback. The more I drive it the more I fall in love with it. Thanks Zach and everyone else at Mike Shaw Subaru!

Last week, I'm sitting in my Trailblazer at a stop light thinking to myself..."I'm ready for my new adventures in life to take place in a Subaru!" Knowing that I'd had the the most pathetic and painful first car buying experience, I was more than skeptical.
My first call was to Mike Shaw. I spoke to Anthony Maestas. Not only did he have a strong knowledge of Subaru cars, he was excited to help me.
As a full time teacher, I am on a strict budget. Anthony assured me that he and his nice boss would do nearly everything possible to help me get into a car that would make me feel safe.
Anthony worked with me without making me feel like I was being "sold" something. I felt in control of my decisions and had the guidance needed to make the right car buying choice. I truly appreciate feeling like I can trust Mike Shaw.

I just took my 2001 Outback in for service yesterday and was helped by Stephen Cadwallader who did an excellent job. He managed to have all of the work done in a timely manner and come in well under the original quote by being honest and not selling me unneeded parts and service upon further inspection. To me this is huge after having the exact opposite experience with other local Subaru dealers(*cough*Flatirons*cough*). I have always received top notch service at Mike Shaw and this just cements in that I will continue to have my major repair/service work done there.

I had a terrible experience down at another SUBARU dealership on Broadway and contacted Cliff at Mike Shaw. He took care of me and my family and getting out new car was a comfortable and easy experience. I've bought and leased many cars at many different dealerships and Mike Shaw will always get my business. I highly recommend them.

I'm a female in her 20s and took my 2011 Forester for an oil change. After checking me in they told me my car needed immediate maintenance on my timing belt and wanted me to get it fixed that day and it was going to cost $600. I did not have $600 extra on me, so I denied the maintenance and called my dad who is a mechanic in the midwest. He looked into it and the year of my vehicle and model does not even have what they told me needed fixed for $600.
Needless to say, I will not be going back to this business. They either do not know their own brand of vehicles or they are trying to take advantage of their customers.

I have been through the car buying experience at other dealerships but I reccomend not wasting your time elsewhere. The mike shaw team is a family and welcomed me from day one. The technician, Matt, was very helpful and after explaining the repairs that needed to be done to my Subaru Outback he made a point to complete the repairs in a very timely manner. I was very appreciative that he was able to complete the job with speed and efficiency so I could get back to my work without taking allot of time out of my day to wait for the repairs to be completed. I do want to disclose that I am a technician here in the service department, however, I am very appreciative of Tim and Stephen's continued help especially when I need my personal vehicle worked on. I value their time as they do mine. They are very patient and do their best to accommodate all of their customers to ensure that they are satisfied with their visit. I would also like to mention the women that work in the Business Development Center, moreover, Alexandra Eason. She will do her best to take the time to speak with you about whatever questions you may have and make sure that you are aware of everything that is going on with your vehicle at the time. If you have sales questions regarding our current inventory, or if you simply wanted to schedule a test drive about a vehicle that you have inquired about, she is more than happy to assist you. The entire experience of leasing a new car was so easy and stress free. Rob was very knowledgeable about all of the cars I was looking at, which helped me make my final decision to go with the Crosstrek. He was super friendly, and never once made me feel pressured to buy/lease. He really took the time to understand my financial situation and did everything he could to get me the car I wanted at the price I needed.

Worst car buying experience I have ever had. Never could get a straight answer they keep trying to sell me a car I didn't want. And just wasted my time. They're kind of arrogant and talk down to you if you ask questions.

Matt in the Service Department saved me a thou$and plu$ dollarS today on a repair! If I wouldn't had gone to Mike Shaw my a/c compressor diagnostics test, parts and labor would have cost me well over $1k more than what I paid today. I arrived 30 mins early, Matt greeted me as I came in, got vehicle in early, offered to arrange for shuttle service and gave me estimate of time I'd need to wait. I'm glad I waited, after diagnostic test he came and explained what it was (the bad news) then gave me the good news of the price for replacement. Great experience, felt true empathy from the staff and treated me like a friend of the family.

Bought my car from here 2 months ago. Everything seemed great until I had some questions about my loan and no one will call or email me back. I called every day and they either transfer me to someone that doesn't know anything about loans or they hang up. Horrible service.

My experience with Mike Shaw Subaru was phenomenal. I flew from Birmingham, Al on a mission to purchase the safest car for my 18 year old daughter who is attending college in Denver. She previously was a passenger in a car accident and sustained an injury. I also was very concerned about her inexperience driving in snow and on ice.

I looked at several Car Dealerships and Car Max before deciding on purchasing her car from Mike Shaw Subaru. I was incredibly fortunate to have Keith Traczynkski, an extremely experienced Sales Consultant, take care of me. I was anticipating buying a used car and never imagined that my daughter would drive off in a 2017 Subaru Forester. Keith worked diligently with me on the numbers and gave me a fair trade in on our used car. By the time my daughter drove off in her new car, it was10:30 pm on a Saturday night. Keith, who was accompanied by Levi, a new Sales Consultant, spent more than a half hour with us going over all of the wonderful features of this remarkable car. The safety components of the Forester are incredible and are too numerous to state here. You'll just have to find out for yourself!!

Additionally, I purchased the 3 year/36,000 mile service plan. Each time the Subaru needs an oil and filter change, a rotation of tires, an inspection etc., my daughter and I will be notified by text. She will not have to worry about paying for these service calls and I will not have to worry about her invalidating the car warrantee.

I highly recommend Mike Shaw Subaru. I have never met more attentive sales people who are willing to work with you. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to them and this comes across every step of the way.

Alex Comar was a great salesman. He helped me find the car I wanted and could afford. I felt that he really listened to me and was patient with me. I loved the old Subaru Forester I had (2003) and wanted a new one. I'm still learning about all the features of the 2015 Forester, but it really drives effortlessly and is very comfortable. Any questions I had about the car were answered clearly and there was never the feeling of being pressured to make a decision or purchase additional services or upgrades.

Today I went to Mike Shaw Subaru in the market for a used Subaru Impreza. I was helped by Austin Vang and I must say he did a very good job. He asked me what I wanted and took my to it right away no questions asked. Budget came up and he actually took me to a car that was way below and newer like I asked. He handed me the keys and let me inspect and look around it. I got to check all interior and exterior features including the engine. I took it for a test drive and was able to drive it for how long I wanted including the highway. When approached with a question he answered it in detail to where I could understand it. I'd recommend this dealership for anyone looking to purchase a car new or used. Great guest service, smiling faces and overall positive vibe.

This review is purely based on the service side of the dealership since I have not purchased a car her personally. Since moving to Denver, this location has been my go to for servicing my Subaru and keeping everything in good shape. Sometimes the wait may be long, but the service definitely makes up for it. The waiting room has free beverages and donuts and the morning and isn't the worst spot if you have to wait a few hours. The 5 stars is from the service though. Everyone I have worked with here has been friendly and easy to talk too. They will get my first look when searching for our next car.

Staff all seemed very friendly, unfortunately very apathetic to non-existent customer service. The initial paperwork included an extended warranty that we did not want. We were told it was no extra charge but after closer review it was an extra $3,500. After we called it out and told them to remove they did...and doubled our APR without telling us about the APR change. Didn't matter since we were refinancing through credit union, still left a sour taste in our mouth from the start. Car showed up earlier than anticipated but windows weren't tinted and clear bra wasn't applied. Additionally, several small scratches were present on new Outback we showed two sales reps. They didn't seem to care and said to come back in a week and they would throw in some gas cards too to make it right. We also realized we were mislead on what came standard on base Outback, nothing drastic, but still felt mislead and misrepresented. Later that week got a call asking if I was coming in for an appointment I never had and explained everything that would be needed again and service department only aware of window tinting, nothing else. Went in two days later for my scheduled appointment, service rep wasn't aware I was coming in, so I explained everything that needed to be done again and they said they didn't have a loaner but magically found one after I wouldn't leave without a car. Almost closing time I hadn't heard anything back, so I called them and car had been done for hours. Came to pick it up and scratches were still untouched. Rep I talked to didn't care and said to bring it back again. While waiting to bring car back in noticed the newly applied window tint was bubbling already all over the back of the car. Dropped off again a week later and they completely replaced the back window tinting since it wasn't done properly first time but they did finally fix the 2 scratches. When I got home I noticed a third set of scratches in the paint, I'm done telling them how to do their job and being at the dealer, I'll fix scratches myself and will never see this dealer again. Still no gas cards either, not that I'm looking for free stuff, just some amount of effort in trying to care about customers would be nice. All I can figure is this is par for the course and they are so used to dealing with this terrible communication and poor service they don't care anymore.

Thanks for the offer Jared. We spoke last week and nothing came of it as scratches were still present after I picked up my car. I'll fix them myself and when the tint comes off again I'll go to a reputable shop that will do it correctly.

Great experience when going in to the dealer to get a new forester. We were helped out by Gabe who was great pointing out all the great qualities the forester had to offer, when we decide to get the forester we were helped out by Josh Anderson. Josh was great explaining the terms of the lease that we had chosen. One of the things that I loved as well is that the dealer had a playroom for kids. This was super helpful since we had our 3 year old with us. Overall everyone was super friendly and offer a nice environment.

I tried to be loyal to this store, as I ve purchased two new cars in the last year from this location, but while trying to buy the third, had the most pathetic experience. Low-ball trade offer and lies about how trade equity/negative equity work; scam-type lines like slimy car lots use. I m in the biz, I know how financing works.

Literally, every Subaru dealer in the area beat their trade price on the first try and had a better price on the new vehicle anyway. I went with Shortline for the purchase and couldn t be happier.

Just picked up my Subaru Outback from Mike Shaw service was beyond my expectation. Car was not suppose to be done until Thursday the morning I was leaving for vacation. Knowing that I was leaving they pushed to get my car done a day early and succeeded! Matt in the service department took great care of me calling and giving me updates everyday, and made sure I was able to get a free loaner car while my Outback was in the shop. Have never had a bad experience with this dealership that is why I still make the drive in from Denver for them to service my car. I had a really good experience overall. My sales rep Hutch with really helpful and got me the car I wanted for a fair price. I signed the contract in the evening and after thinking about the deal overnight, I wasn't satisfied with the amount of money I was receiving for my trade-in. Hutch and the staff were willing to change the contract the next morning to allow me to keep that vehicle in exchange for the amount of money I was going to receive for it in the contract. I know they didn't need to do that after I had already signed the contract so I am really appreciative of their willingness to make sure I was a happy and satisfied customer.

After a brief issue with my car, Eric was in constant contact with me throughout and communicated with me daily. I took my car in last Friday for an issue with my front driver's seat and expected to have to leave it with them overnight. As soon as I pulled up, Danny, John and Tim started looking at the seat together to see if it were something they could fix for me on the spot. After working together for 10-15 minutes, they were able to solve the issue and send me on my way free of charge. The service department at Mike Shaw is truly the best!

Overall, we would give Mike Shaw Subaru a 5 for the things that really mattered. We had wonderful attention from Dusty, the sales person, and follow up by the general manager. We were able to take the car out and drive it to Idaho springs to see how it performed on hills, then to our house in Denver to make sure it fit in the garage. Ultimately, we compared the price quoted at Mike Shaw with an auto broker in Denver who we had used previously for a Subaru. Despite a great price quoted from Mike Shaw, the broker's quote came in $1,200 lower. When I told the manager that we wanted to purchase it from Mike Shaw, but there was a $1,200 difference in the offer, he asked if I would buy it from Mike Shaw if he matched the price. We said yes.
The reason for a 4/5 rather than a 5 relates to a small repair. We were told that there was a small dent on the roof that needed repair (we never would have seen it if they had not pointed it out to us!), that we could come back the following Monday at 8 AM to have it fixed. I showed up at 8 AM and by 11 the repair had not been made since the vendor did not come in that morning as expected. We were given a loner car so I could go home and return the following afternoon to pick up the car with the repaired roof.
On the positive side, Mike Shaw also gave us a great price on a maintenance contract. As I said, everything that mattered was handled superbly.

I have spent thousands of dollars with Mike Shaw Subaru, servicing 2 cars and purchasing tires, brakes, and numerous speciality items. I have been welcomed every time I bring my car in, and shown value for my dollar, and confidence in their work. Every time, that is, until this morning. The service agent was dismissive, rude, and wanted to argue about my asking the techs to check on the brake rotors as there have been vibrations in the car. I was accused of yelling by Jonathan Susser, the operations director, which is an odd way of saying he didn t want to hear my criticisms of his staff.

In my mind, without customer service, especially in the auto business, you might as well close your doors. I called Flatirons Subaru, and they were both understanding, and emphatic about my situation. I look forward to doing business with them.

My first visit to Mike Shaw Subaru was to get new tires, I have an older vehicle and the VIN# was not cooperating, Hoa Pham at the service desk was wonderful. He was very patient and kind while he figured the issue out. I would absolutely recommend the Service Dept at Mike Shaw Subaru.

Staff: Direct, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful

Negotiation: Typical dealership games, not any better or any worse

Price: Over paid, my 17 year old was getting her first shot at negotiation so I kept my involvement low. I don't count this against the dealership though.

Misc: They BBQed and fed us, the burger they pressed by hand and it was rather good. I was impressed.

Will return: Unlikely, other than the food nothing was special enough to choose to return over any other dealership.

Excellent experience. Keith and Jason were very professional, courteous and kind. Keith took a lot of time showing me the features of my new car, answered all questions and was very easy to work with. He is well informed and made this a smooth process.

I bought a 2012 honda civic for my daughter for work and take my granddaughter to daycare. There was a after market security system put on this car. The car worked great, but after awhile didn't. My daughter was driving home and the car shut down. We had it towed home. We had a mechanic look at it and the after market alarm not hooked in right so it was shorting the electrical system and not only that the main cord was starting a spark and fire on the fire wall. I have been asking Matt Stephenson to call prior customer where this alarm was installed. No call back. I feel this dealership sold us a lemon. I had to hire a mechanic to take the alarm out and reconnect the wires in order for the car to run. I have pictures of all the wires for this alarm. Gonna see if fox news will look into this and lemon laws. If a dealership is buying a car why didn't they see this. Will be contacting a personal lawyer. This car could of caught fire with my daughter and grandbaby.
