Stopped in late last night April 30th to get an oil change. Had the pleasure of working with Matt in the service department. He mentioned I had a brake lamp switch replacement and took care of both the oil change and the switch quickly! Thank you for taking care of me in such a short amount of time!
I had a great experience here thanks to Hutch. I sold my Toyota and he picked me up with the car I wanted and made the process very smooth and easy. No hidden charges. I highly recommend this dealership and ask for Hutch!
I went into mike shaw not sure if it was even possible to get a new car, but with plenty of help from my exelent salesperson dusty gilman. No waiting for your appointment, I actually got there early and got right in. They informed me of the options and need of my vehicle. The 6 month/6,000 mile service was very fast - about 30 minutes. The waiting room is very comfortable and convenient. They have several chairs and even a desk for me to set up my laptop, so I was able to work during my service - plus free wifi. Very good.
Mike Shaw's was very helpful and informative about a car fro me and my son.
Very reliable! On Sundays they BBQ for all the employees and customers. So you can eat a burger/hot dog while you wait for your car to get service.

My car buying experience was pretty good. They found the exact car I wanted and had it delivered to my front door from a place 2 hours away. I had my 2 year old with me and the lady at the front desk was kind enough to provide her with coloring paper and crayons. The sales men were pushy but not overly so. The finance guy was extremely honest and not pushy at all. The only thing that makes this not a 5 star experience was that I had to wait for the finance guy for 40 minutes. My sales man was nice enough to sit and talk with me this whole time and keep me company.
Easy to see why this dealership has won so many awards. Dealerships often get a bad rep and deserve it as they often charge through the roof especially in Service. Mike Shaw's personnel are truly different in a good way. They treat you with good customer service, almost a lost art. The service department is quick, knowledgeable and pleasant. You won't dread shopping here or getting your car serviced here. Really
We purchased our first Subaru ever--the 2016 Forrester. We are thrilled with the choice and the experience. Cliff, our sales professional, was as amazing as the SUV is. He listened to us, took the time to train us on how the vehicle worked and gave us lots of tips on how to learn more information. I don't normally leave reviews, but it was bad. Dropped my car off, for an entire day, it didn't even get looked at although the scheduled time was @ 8:15. After having a poor experience I tried calling the Customer Service Manager. I left a message about my experience and never heard back. Customer Service does not seem to be a high priority with them.
John Lara was really patience and friendly helping me get the right car. He provided me with all the necessary details about the car I was purchasing. He did everything in his power to make sure I was going home satisfied. Great customer service! I will defiantly recommend his customer service to anyone looking to purchasing a car.

You know how people always say they love their Subaru? Well, it's true. There is definitely something nice about owning a Subaru. Having said that, when you enter this place you definitely feel the warmth of the people that work there. Sure you might get pesky salesmen but it's a rare occasion.
Their parts department has been helpful all 3 times that I needed help with a part. By the way, if you ever need to buy anything from here just buy it from their online store and then pick it up at the store.
How could I forget the complimentary massages!!!! Its incredible! They really spoil you here. They are basically thanking you for being there. I love it. Oh and lets not forget pets. You got a dog? Awesome. Big dog? Go for it. Little dog? Yep. How about a cat, well probably. A rat? Im not sure... Just dont get too flashy. Just remember that Subaru is made for pets, (basically).

Unfortunately, I need to replace my previous review and lower the stars due to my first bad experience at Shaw Subaru. I brought my Subaru in for an inspection of the battery and the alternator. After about an hour, I received a message that additional work was being recommended on my vehicle. They recommended that I replace my timing belt, one strut, and some other miscellaneous items totaling $2400 in repairs. They were shown as a red flag items, meaning that they were in dangerous condition and needed immediate repair. The red flag for me was the fact that I just had my Subaru in a few months earlier for its 100k service, which included replacing all of the belts, including the timing belt. I also had brake and rotor work done at the 100k service and there was no mention of strut damage or repairs needed.
After I brought this to their attention, they said that the technician recommended the belt service based on the mileage alone, and hadn t actually inspected the belt or referenced prior service history. The service manager did apologize and try to make it right, but I can t help but feel they were caught in a lie, and that their technicians are being pushed to offer unneeded service. Unfortunately, my trust has been lost with Shaw Subaru.
I rarely write reviews, but I felt inclined to do so today, as Mike Shaw manager Johnathan Susser went above and beyond for me today. I came in today for a basic tire rotation. It's a long story and I'll try to keep it short, but a couple of issues arose from the start. The first one being that they could not get my wheels off because it required a special lug key that I did not have, and never had to begin with. The previous technician that did my tire rotation at Mike Shaw Subaru installed my new wheels without letting me know about the special lugs and lug key required. It must have been provided with the kit and I wasn't aware. He must have also kept them for himself, as I did not receive the old lugs, nor the lug key back upon completion of service. I was told that particular technician no longer worked there. At first, the current technician was implying that it was not their problem, and that I had to go find this lug key myself. He said I would be on the hook financially for new lugs as well. I did not feel this was right and asked to speak with a manager.
The dealership manager, Jonathan Susser, met me in the lobby. We walked back to my vehicle as he listened to my side of the story. It was certainly a confusing situation, but rather than try to duck the blame, he got to work and tried to problem solve the situation. Instead of sending me away, he did the legwork of hunting down this special lug key himself. A key , that I was told, was previously unavailable from any of their technicians. After some legwork and time, he managed to find one that worked. That was problem number one solved.
Johnathan also told me upfront and honestly that one of his technicians accidentally tore one of my tires while trying to fix a nail hole. He apologized and said he would take care of me. He went right to work and set me up with replacement tires. He knew what needed to be done to make the situation right by the customer, and he did it without hesitation or trying to duck/pass blame. Bravo. I am new to Colorado, and I am relatively new this dealership. I was going to use the outcome of this experience as a test to whether I wanted to purchase my next vehicle from Mike Shaw Subaru. This situation could have been handled a lot differently, and it was heading down that road before Jonathan stepped in. Thanks to him, I will be back when it's time for our next Subaru. Honorable mention to the service advisor who was also helping me out, Anya Martin. She remained courteous and professional throughout. She made sure I was taken care of and took time to listen to my concerns even though the service department was quite busy. Thanks for a job well done guys!
I highly recommend Mike Shaw Subaru in Thornton. They have a friendly atmosphere that reminds me of a old family owned dealership. They found me exactly what I needed, and what I could afford. Keith Traczynski, the sales and leasing consultant, who helped me get into my new 2015 Subaru Impreza; is very knowledgable about the Subaru line. If anybody is looking into buying a new or used vehicle, they would be doing themselves a great disservice in not stopping at Mike Shaw Subaru off of 104th.

was a fair, straightforward, pleasant encounter. The primary reason
for that was our dealing with Cliff Swaim who took care of all aspects
of the purchase from initial email/internet contact thru closing. During
the price negotiations, he was pleasant and honest on where we stood
during each step of contact. We were able to arrive at a price that
was equitable to both sides and we completed the purchase in short order after that. Again, throughout all stages of the process, he was
cordial and professional, many times a rarity in auto tradings. I would
also like to recognize Mr. Frank Cruz who walked us thru the loan and

I can't say enough good things about the Service Department and Tim Dreger, specifically! I called the Service Department and spoke with Tim yesterday morning when the check engine light and three other dash indicator lights came on in my new (used) Subaru that I purchased elsewhere, and even though the dealership suffered a power outage, Tim told me to come in to see what they could do. He hooked me up!! Tim Sutherland, the technician, found the problem and replaced my thermostat, updated my car's software and cleared the error codes, changed the oil, did a visual inspection of my car so I know that I made a good and safe investment, worked with my extended warranty company, and arranged for a shuttle to get me home and back when the car was finished. They saved the day! You guys rock! I will definitely come back for future service because the experience was so much better than I expected and better than any dealership I've been to before. Thanks again !
Jamie Chu has excellent customer service skills. Not only did she make me feel valued, she showed compassion as well. Even in the moments when the company was short staffed, she exceeded her title. Don't go anywhere else for your Subaru service needs! This is the ONLY place to go. If I moved I would still make the travel just to see my service people at this dealership! As far as servicing, I do not always make it there for oil changes as there is somewhere closer to the house. But I do I love coming to Mike Shaw for service because of the service, the facility, and the Wifi. When I come for service, I can log into my office PC and work while waiting. BIG PLUS for us computer geeks. Also, Kathy Nerka is more than helpful.
In fact, everyone there is always helpful.
My wife will be wanting a new car sooner rather than later, and we will be coming back to see Peter when she is ready.

Walked in looking for one car walked out with 3. Yes 3. The service was excellent from the moment we walked in Shane was so very knowledgeable and upfront about everything . My husband and myself decided on leasing 2 Foresters because they fell within our budget, my daughter then also needed a car and Shane was very helpful in getting her into a used yet beautiful Legacy. There was not a lot of sitting around and waiting for answers. Things stayed pretty timely and non-complicated.

If I could give them no stars I would. We drove out from Denver to check a car my husband made an appointment to see. When we got there we were told it was in another lot so they just had to go get it. 20 minutes later we were told it was boxed in by 2 other cars and would be just a little longer. When we finally saw the car it was filthy inside & out. Stained seats, dirt on the floors. Not to mention when my husband checked under the hood the stick that holds the hood up came off! Her reasoning for the cars filthy appearance? The detailing manager was on vacation so the crew must be slacking. How about when we make an appointment to see a vehicle you have it at the lot, ready to go, clean. So disappointing. I will never go back here.

These guys are great. I worked with Shane, who worked for me to beat the price of another dealership on a new 2020 crosstrek. I had been in contact with the other dealerships, but they just did not have the same level of service as Shane had!
He was usually very fast in responding to me, and had the car I wanted (drove it down himself) within a couple of weeks. On the day I was receiving the car, he sat with my and kindly explained all the features.
I highly recommend these guys!!! They made the entire process so painless and I am super happy with them!!!
I encountered some trouble with my 2014 Forester today while running errands. It wouldn't go into gear. I called Mike Shaw Subaru and spoke with Matt from the Service Dept. He was able to talk me though an override to get me going so I wasn't stranded. Then told me if I was able to bring it in today, he could get me worked into the schedule and have it checked out. I was able to bring it in for service and the problem was resolved (needed a new electrical switch). Peace of mind for me so I didn't have to worry if/when it would get stuck again or worse. Thanks Matt for your help on the phone and for getting my car taken care of so quickly!!!

We just got service for a Crosstrek that was very thorough and very helpful. They really seemed to care about keeping our car in good condition for our future needs. What a great car buying experience. I have gotten 3 Subaru's from Mike Shaw and my sales person has always been Cliff. He is great, knowledgeable and super easy to work with. Not to mention the followup is fantastic! Highly recommend!
No communication. I was texted with a number to communicate with. I received a text in the AM to text anytime to ask questions or communicate with. It also said I could call directly with questions. I responded to the text with no answer back for several hours. I called in and asked for Timothy/Tim ( which the text said to ask for ) who no one knew!!! I was transferred to multiple people and no help ( 20 min later ).I finally was transferred to a service member and they answered questions.
I was told that a part was on backordered until Monday, which was fine. Monday afternoon I get a phone call saying that the part would not be in until Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon I text the number that was given to me , no text back. I got a call a few hours later saying that they had good news and bad news. The part that was apparently backordered from Friday to Monday than Wednesday was quoted wrong and the piece that was ordered came in was the wrong part for the fix. The correct piece was going to be 3 times the price and would take another day or so to come in. Apparently the good news was the fact I could take my car to any exhaust shop and they could weld the leak shut. I asked that the fix be made without me running my car around since I hadn t had my car for a week. I got a call back and were able to make the appointment to handle the fix.
The last time I used the service dept, they forgot to connect the fan to the radiator and caused the car to overheat and I had to take the vehicle back the same day. I will say that I most likely will not be back and instead will be looking to take my vehicle somewhere else next time.
I leased my new Impreza through them and they treated me like royalty from the get go. Everything was great, I would highly recommend, especially the sales man Sal.

If you have looked at my other reviews for different places, you'll find I don't rate places so low usually.
However, I have taken my cars here multiple times for different things that are warranty issues, and they basically do the same thing every time. The service team 'looks' at the problem, tells me that it's fine, and I take it to a different mechanic at a completely unrelated place, and there IS an actual problem. It's all about the bottom line in this service department, even if you have scheduled an appointment and are willing to just pay out of pocket. Really guys??

Checked in right on time. Appreciated the ride to/from my home - not many/any other dealerships will come pick you up. Was contacted as to additional repairs that I might need and everything was handled very professionally. Appreciated the good service.
