Received great service at Mercedes-Benz of Arlingt...

Received great service at Mercedes-Benz of Arlington. Made an appointment for work on my vehicle got in that morning and left with a wonderful loaner vehicle. My vehicle was done in a day. I received my vehicle back and it drives great. Hats off to my Service Advisor!!! I trust MB of Arlington with my vehicle because I know it will be done right and returned to me in great shape.

Each one of the names above had a role in making me happy that I chose to be a Mercedes owner. They are experienced, knowledgable, and wonderful people to talk to. GO VISIT THEM AND BUY A CAR!!!

I contacted a new sales person and James Spallo re...

I contacted a new sales person and James Spallo responded. At first he was responsive and attentive. However, I told him that I wanted to wait until December before buying a car. He contacted me last week that I should buy now for the Winter Sales Event. I asked what deals were going on. We emailed each other for 2 days and I told him I just left the area for a vacation trip and I'll continue a possible deal when I arrive back. Then he said I was playing games and that his deal is only good for that day. Yeah, he's one of those pushy stereotypical salesman. He then said it is his talent to be aggressive in selling cars. What a ridiculous answer. I don't know how his boss can keep someone like him with a job selling cars to customers. Nothing against MB of Arlington the dealership. I give James Spallo zero stars.

Update 11/16/2018. After reading the owner's response which was very professional and courteous, I'll contact Ralph. James Spallo can learn from this MB owner about good customer service.

Update 11/19/2018. Huge mistake contacting this dealership again. I asked if another sales person(of course not James Spallo) could assist the next business day. A manager assured another sales person would contact me.
No one did. I had to ask again.
Then in the afternoon, Clayton Garrett calls me and we tried to negotiate a deal. The deal is complicated and an offer I received from a different MB dealer is clear cut and better.

He asked if he can call back and doesn t understand when I asked if his deal is the same as before. He couldn t understand this question and had to repeat myself 3 times until he fully understood. I speak fluent English.
Then we I said another MB dealer has a better and a less complicated offer. He didn t believe it. He said when the car arrives it could be different deal at the other MB dealership. I said no, I was going to have it in writing. We argued back and forth. Then later he explained he never said that the deal would be different with the other offer. It was very frustrating talking to this man.

My experience with these two car salesmen is the worst I ever had in my car shopping history. I m relieved I didn t purchase from this dealership.
Their car sales department needs better customer service training.
Another Google reviewer below said a manager at this dealership hangs up the phone on customers. I should had took that as a red flag.

Update 11/19/2018 evening: I made the deal with the other MB dealership of Bethesda. They ll accept the full amount of the USAA incentive for whenever the car arrives as I ve ordered the car. Unlike MB of Arlington which their deal would deduct from my USAA incentive for whatever cash Mercedes offers. Deal sounded so bad when I was informed of it by Clayton. I contacted several other MB dealers in this area which do not have this shady or deceptive deal.
Also other MB dealers didn t try and bash or create doubt in a better offer from a competitor dealership (yes Clayton you did say this over the phone by saying to get their deal in writing, no misinterpretation on my part).
These sales people are very argumentative and unprofessional.

I will not get my newly ordered car serviced at this dealership.

This was my first service call with Mercedes Benz. And I must say that Mercedes Benz of Arlington has set the benchmark for customer service. From the initial contact, they exemplified a desire to take care of my needs. They not only completed the service but noted minor inconsistencies that needed to be addressed while in their care, as a courtesy. I can't say enough about my experience as well as Geoffrey Smith. Mr. Smith gave me a realistic deadline and made me abreast of all occurrences that impacted my service call. Furthermore, he had the car delivered so that I could avoid rush hour traffic. Based on this experience, I would highly recommend them.

Can be busy, grateful that they fit me in for a car wash, as a dealer, they have to follow company policies, so they advised not fixing my run flat tire and buying TWO new tires, plus installation - $450. I went to a local shop and they fixed the tire for $20. Before I agreed to fix the tire, I spoke with no less than seven tire professionals, all the branded companies said "they can't/won't fix a run flat", while the rest all said that run flats can be fixed now that the technology has changed in the last four years. Mercedes has very polite, helpful and professional folks, whom I appreciate immensely, but just make sure you do your own research.

First let me say that this dealership is out of the way for me but is worth the extra time to drive out to for one reason; customer service! Whenever I'm there for parts or service, I'm dealing with professionals who show only gratitude and appreciation toward every customer that walks in.
Is that really worth the longer drive and occasional traffic hassle that is Glebe Road? It is to me!

I cannot say enough great things about Larry Haney...

I cannot say enough great things about Larry Haney, I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure, yes I said pleasure, dealing with him when purchasing my 2014 E550 Cabriolet! Mr. Haney took every opportunity to go above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. The car had to be located and he kept in constant contact with me every step of the way! Mr. Haney did many things that made him stand out in the crowd. I have bought many cars in my many years of driving and this is by far the best experience I have ever had. He was kind and accommodating during the entire process AND beyond. He has kept in contact to see how the I like the car!

Fast forward to this past week, my car, which had 3900 miles on it began smoking and failed to start. Fortunately I was in a safe location. I called roadside assistance and they arranged for a towing company to come and get the car. The closest dealership was NOT Arlington, so they had made arrangements to take it to a closer dealership, since they were all closed. Between the dealership and the towing company I was able to have it towed to Arlington, where Mr. Haney had made arrangements with the General Manager to let me leave the lot with a certified used car since Enterprise had closed. Needless to say, Mr. Haney made sure that I was taken care of, one of the gentlemen on the overnight shift, Lamont, took excellent care of me too, he had the car keys ready and papers needed for me to sign and get on my way quickly.

The service advisor, Kit Cross, also kept in contact with me about the status of the car. They did not stock the starter that was needed to be replaced so they needed to keep the car over the weekend. Mr. Haney and Mr. Cross were able to make arrangements for me to keep the used car until it was fixed due to the inconvenience of time and distance!

I have not had an encounter with anyone at the dealership that was anything but accommodating and I would highly recommend Mr. Haney, Mr. Cross and Lamont (sorry I did not get his last name!!) to take good care of you and your family.

We will definitely consider buying another car from this dealership and salesman!

Again, thanks so much to everyone for making a somewhat stressful time more pleasant!!

I purchased my C300 Mercedes Benz from Arlington. Shortly after i noticed some issues with the car. I got in touch with the dealership and they advised me to bring the car in to the service center of Arlington. I listed the issues relating to the car. I must say that the service center of Arlington went above and beyond addressing all those issues.
Hugh Mcguire was my service point of contact and working with him was a very pleasant experience. He kept me updated and made sure that work was performed according to the expectations. I was vary that the dealership and the service might push back but that was not the case. Very happy! Thank you!

The customer service at this Mercedes dealership is amazing. I walked in and was promptly greeted. Within one minute of arrival i was already assigned a sale spokesmen and withing 10 minute the vehicle i requested was pulled to the front of the building. After the test drive, a none aggressive conversation was had about lease vs finance, down payments interest rates etc. i told them my time line on purchase and they didn't push me to make a deal in the moment. Overall amazing service.

Could not have felt more welcome and more taken care of when we purchased our new vehicle. All of our questions were answered and then some. Professional staff that goes over and beyond to make sure you have what you want. James and Clayton made sure that we had the vehicle we wanted and John in finance made sure that we had all options available and knew everything about the shows and whys and what its. They will make you feel like a King and a Queen when you leave in your new vehicle.

On November 25, 2016, we were at Mercedes-Benz of Arlington, VA dealership to buy 2017 GLC. This was our second visit in three days as in our first visit we test drove GLA and GLC and checked some other cars. This visit was to finalize the deal on GLC. However, we ended up leaving the dealership feeling disrespected and humiliated.

The assigned Sales Associate was very respectful, courteous and efficient. He went with us on test drives and discussed all aspects of the cars very professionally. It was the time when we were discussing the final price of the vehicle. The Sales Associate went to the Sales Manager, Mr Marcus Mignogna with our offers but the Manager walked in with him. During the 5 min talk with the Manager, we felt an EXTREMELY rude and aggressive attitude of the manager. He was literally yelling! We were appalled by his behavior as it was not representative of a company of good repute. On the other hand, from the very beginning we were polite, rational and calm which could be verified by other employees present there. At first, we assumed that it was his personality to talk in insulting and non-professional behavior but soon realized that it was something purposeful, biased and racist in nature. Since he continued his insulting, disparaging and demeaning tone and attitude, I stood up and told my husband that we should leave as it was becoming unbearable. As soon as he heard this, Mr Micnogna abruptly stood up and left saying, I don t care! Instead of telling us professionally how our offer was not acceptable to the dealership, he insulted us in front of his Sales Associates and our two kids.

One also wonders if his attitude was covering any form of discrimination! Whatever the reason is, I have decided not to do any kind of business, not just with this dealership but with Mercedes-Benz. We have given our business to BMW instead!
I hope you understand that such behaviors would affect your revenue because the customer is unlikely to come back. The company needs to think about educating their employees on behaviors with customers which will prevent the loss of business in future. We expected that a dealership of a luxury brand (or any brand for that matter) would value their potential customers. The first principle of any sales deal is courtesy and respect especially when the customer is being very polite and courteous.

I look forward to hearing back from you if you have any explanation for this incident.

I thought it was interesting when I came here for a scheduled service, they charged me much more than the Alexandria location. When I inquired about it, I was told that I was charged for extra services that weren't cleared by me... That some of the centers have different ideas of what the same scheduled service should include. Even though he made adjustments to my charges to remove the extra services, I felt like they were taking advantage of scheduled maintenance to add on more charges. It felt very deceptive to me since, like most, I normally wouldn't question charges if they said they only did what I brought my vehicle in there for them to do.

MB Arlington (and Hagerstown) are exactly - precisely - what I expect from Mercedes. It is true concierge, white-glove service and professionalism from beginning to end.

I am certainly not alone in recognizing the premium cost of services at the dealership; however, the door-to-door experience is well worth it, in my opinion.

I chose this shop bc of the rating. A deer hit our s550. We took it to a USAA certified shop. When we received our vehicle out of the shop as soon as we hit highway miles it would shake. My husband said maybe it s the road. We were riding on the highway a few days later and it was shaking again. We called the shop. The shop stated the shaking had nothing to do with the impact of the deer. I was rather confused. They wanted us to pay out of pocket for a diagnostic. If the diagnostic suggested it was related they would fix it. I don t know what manager with common sense came up with that decision. How can a diagnostic tell you if the impact from a deer caused the need of an alignment. It wasn t shaking before the accident. It s evident either they did something wrong or it was bc of the accident. I am truly dissatisfied with this shop and the lack of great service. This would never happen at BMW of Annapolis, Rockville, or Catonsville

He let us take our time and helped us select the perfect car for our needs. Mike the sales manager was also very courteous and professional. It is very sad that I have to give 1 star to this dealership. Specially right now with this economy. The sales manager that helped me buy the car he promised a lot of stuff and when I came to sign at the store he said he didn t remember anything and was extremely rude. I m glad I had all written down by him with his hand writing. But it was extremely stressful to go through the process of buying a car at this place. They will promise you the world and then say oh we can t do this or that and the same sentence every low class dealership tells you we are losing money with this deal ...seriously!! Is that part of the training to say that? I really want the GM or someone that can make a change to this dealership to contact me so I can tell everything that happened and maybe they can make a change on the sales experience from a customer level. I am just very frustrated because it was supposed to be a happy purchase but we left angry and not want to put our foot back there.

AMG experience seriously lacking here. Overworked, overwhelmed staff couldn't keep up so they didn't have time to wash my car, but they included the carwash on the invoice nonetheless. They tried to sell me tires which I really needed and would've bought had they told me about the nationwide M-B tire sale!!
Oh well, I'll move along and keep trying to find an AMG dealer that actually does care.

I've been going to this location since I moved to VA in 2006. I just got a new 2013 C class at American Service Center and it was seriously the easiest, most hassle-free experience. I did not feel pressured at all to buy anything and I can see why Mercedes has such a high customer retention rate. Just got my car serviced last weekend with no appointment, so I just showed up unannounced. The service guy said it was no problem at all and my car was done within 45 minutes. Of course, they always return it to you sparkling clean, inside and out!

I have been taking my last three cars to Mercedes Benz of Arlington. I've been especially happy with the service that I have received with my most recent car, 2015, C300. My service advisor, Derek Humelsine, has been excellent each and every time. On my last visit, 3/22/18, I brought my car in because the Command Control for the audio functions (radio, navigation, Bluetooth, satellite) all of the sudden stopped working. Although I wasn't happy with the initial findings (that it could take up to two weeks for a replacement radio), Derek called me the next day to let me know that it was more of a software glitch. His team was able to come up with a work-around so that the features I normally use will work. He will call me when there is a permanent fix with the software update. Even if I had to wait for two weeks, what I like about Derek is that he walks me through the process each time. So, he is effective in setting expectations. I always attempt to set up my appointments with Derek each time I need to bring the car in for service. All the other advisors are amazing too. They all greet me if I'm waiting around in the service lane or by the cashier's office. It's the high level of service that keeps me coming back to Mercedes-Benz of Arlington. I recommend all of my friends to bring their cars to Mercedes-Benz Arlington. All of my friends have been very happy with the level of service in comparison to other local dealerships in the area.

I spent over $5000.00 for a command unit in my 201...

I spent over $5000.00 for a command unit in my 2012 s550 so you could imagine how upset I was with Mercedes not willing to replace this part for free. I chose Arlington to do the repair and was very impressed with the dealer in general. My service rep Kit felt my pain and I must say that he was the one that made it easier to come off that 5 stacks. I enjoyed the professionalism courtesy and respect that I received from all staff that I came in contact with. I enjoyed the AMG display the lobby and the Danishes. This is an A class dealership with A class services. My vehicle is working excellent and I'm very satisfied. I will only deal with Arlington Mercedes Benz from now on. I'm recommending everyone to this dealership because they're the best.

The most unprofessional experience I've ever had i...

The most unprofessional experience I've ever had in my life. On July 16, I bought a vehicle from this dealership. There were some hiccups, but I didn't think much of it. I was excited and I didn't want the poor service to ruin the experience. Now, I am very frustrated so I'm stating all the issues I faced.
(1) The finance manager provided the wrong interest rate and cost of owning the car. **He used the wrong duration by mistake, which I understand can happen.**
(2) The same individual forgot his password to access and print one of the contracts (the multi-shield protection contract). **I was quite shocked.**
(3) When I started to review the paper work at home, I realized some files were missing. So, I had to call and get them emailed to me. **Yikes!**
(4) The extended car warranty contract had two surcharges not marked. **If I had not gone through the paperwork, I would never have known something was missing.**
(5) There was some misunderstanding in terms of the benefits for the multi-shield protection contract. It lacked a windshield protection plan which I thought was included. **I understand things like this can happen.**
(6) On July 18, I asked for the multi-shield protection contract to be cancelled. The manager stated he will send me the contract by July 20. I never received it. **I'm slowly getting frustrated by the lack of respect for my time. Plus, he should keep his word.**
(7) On July 22, I reminded him about the multi-shield cancellation contract. He responded back stating he sent the cancellation contract and it might be in my spam folder. I responded respectfully again that I did not receive the email. **It was quite hilarious he would think I did not know how to use my personal email.**
(8) After waiting another two days for a response, I emailed him again that I did not receive the contract. Finally, he sends it to me the following day (July 25). **It was annoying that I had to send him an email asking him to read my previous response.**
(9) On July 27, I sent him the cancellation contract and requested what my new total balance would be. So far (July 30), I've not received a response. **Now, I'm get extremely irritated.**
(10) As I was getting frustrated, I called the online sales manager who sold the car to me. I told her I needed to speak to another finance manager and she placed me on mute. Unfortunately, she unmuted me for a few seconds and I overheard a man stating "I do not want to speak with him." **I do not know what the circumstances were, but I felt utterly disgusted and disrespected.**
(11) Conclusion: All I wanted to do was cancel my multi-shield contract and get an update on my balance. I do not understand why this had to be so complex and frustrating.

I came in to replace the Crankshaft Postion Sensor.

The customer service and repair was overall very good. Max is friendly and the repair is pretty straightforward. Why it wasn't higher was that I worked with Porsche dealerships for a while. They often would do basic checks and evaluations for free. I was told that they charge for everything. However he did graciously provide a 10% discount.

Besides the above, my issue is the cost which I know dealership is usually more expensive. When I came in, I asked about the hours required for the Crankshaft Position Sensor replacement. Max told me right off the bat it would be 3.5 hrs of service which I questioned. He told me that it required a lot of additional checks and verifications.

I used to be an Insurance Adjuster and checked with a buddy to validate the time. He told me it was .6 hours for the entire work. This was validated when I checked various websites. This is about 6x mroe expensive than normal. I can reasonably expect 2x (1.2 hours), but 6x (3.5 hrs).

He then told me it would cost around $550 for parts ($180) and labor. I called my usual mechanic, he advised that his estimate is around $250-275. Unfortunately, I need my car ASAP and couldn't wait for time it took for him to order the part, so I guess its an urgency penalty.

I had the best auto purchase experience ever at Mercedes-Benz of Arlington. From Mr. Bokhari the sales person to the sit-down with Mr. Durham the finance person, I was treated so well and respectfully. The process did not take all day. I was out of there quickly, driving away in my new car! I walked away happy, stress free, and with a deal that did not hurt my pockets! Thanks Mercedes-Benz of Arlington!

When I arrived my service adviser, Derrick was with another customer. Someone else checked me in and I was not pleased with him. My information was incorrect and I was originally advised it would only be about an hour. After 2 hours no one contacted me and had no update regarding my vehicle when I called. Once I actually spoke with Derrick, he apologized immensely, explained what was now going on, sent an Uber to pick me up and ensured I received a loaner vehicle. Derrick, made up for the experience from the previous morning. I would make sure he was my adviser for future service needs.

Having completed the first year of blissful drivin...

Having completed the first year of blissful driving in my new S550, I scheduled an appointment for service. Everything was handled promptly and professionally while I waited in the well appointed customer lounge. Tom Pflieger helped me select weather resistant mats to protect the silver carpet this winter. (Now why did I pick that color? Oh, because it is FABULOUS.) He suggested that I wait until the weather starts to worsen and have them installed when I bring baby in for a bath later this month. If I were designing the perfect service manager to go with my perfect car, the result would surely be Tom. He is great.

My only complaint is that I was told it would take an hour but it took 2.5 hours. If they would only say that initially I wouldn't have the expectation that it would only be an hour.

I like the same day turn-around service for my Service A and B. I don't ever have a long wait time. Wait time at the most is 10 minutes. I've been to other dealership/service shop that would make me wait 30-40 min for an appointment I set.

The only part of MB Arlington that I appreciate is the roadside assistance. Both experiences I have had with their technicians have been fantastic. Henry, this time around, was great and stood out in the pouring rain to replace my battery. Thanks for at least hiring decent roadside folks if nothing more!

Dealt with the same service adviser for the past 13 years, and he's been knowledgeable, reasonable, prompt and accommodating. The quality of the service work is generally good, and at times has been excellent. There were a couple of times when I had to take the car in for repeated issues, for which once or twice the shop would re-do at no cost. At other times I felt the repeat issues might have been due to insufficient diagnostics in prior visits.

Not able to close a deal, bought from dealership in MD

I was in the market for a new car to replace a car I had purchased from American Service Center. I was a longtime customer of American Service Center and was very surprised with their unwillingness to work with me on the purchase of a new vehicle. When I went back to them to purchase a new vehicle they gave me the run around and were not willing to entertain a reasonable purchase offer I had made. I was told that the dealership could not make the deal since the numbers were too far off and not even remotely close. After being a loyal customer for 20+ years, I was shocked and decided to visit other dealerships. I was able to purchase the same vehicle with the exact specifications that I wanted at a dealership in Maryland for the exact same offer and trade-in value.

Hands down... the best. I bought my second MB here...

Hands down... the best. I bought my second MB here, the sale and service was perfect. I moved near Richmond where I bought my third MB from another dealer. I STILL prefer MB of Arlington for service and professionalism. I am impressed with how they have integrated social media and technology into the customer experience. Good job! Shuttle to and from the Metro... OAN, the complimentary car washes... THE BOMB.
