The worst insurance company you could possible get. I highly DO NOT recommend. Their customer service is horrible, full of rude individuals. They do not cover anything. They want records from doctors from years ago to determine if your covered. Then they play the run around with you, telling you your doctor didnt answer their specific question about your records. When the doctor has sent them every single record they have on file for you. They deny you coverage, saying it is not in your explanation of benefits with no explanation. I wish I would of known how big a fraud this company is before I decided to do business with them. STAY AWAY FROM THEM, YOU WILL PAY MORE FOR THE INSURANCE THEN THEY COVER.

Run don't walk away from this company! Do a search with the Better Business Bureau their reviews are consistently terrible. Huge gigantic deductibles, no real benefits, and the WORST customer service I've ever experienced. Several times I called the company their inept employees couldn't even locate my policy! I'm currently trying to collect on a claim that they are being very difficult about. If I could give negative stars I would. Terrible company, terrible customer service, terrible products STAY AWAY!

This company is a complete scam. My dad got a short -term plan with them due to a loss in coverage so that he would have coverage until open enrollment started. He canceled the plan and now, a year and a half later, found out they have still been billing him directly out of his bank account. According to them we canceled our health plan but not our prescription plan. They are very sneaky on what the billing is listed as on bank statements. It is also very strange that they have not sent any notices or anything to him through mail for the past year and a half. After reading reviews we see that almost everyone else has similar experiences and the few that don't are probably paid by the company to leave good reviews. They aren't even BBB accredited, as other reviews have said. I hope this company gets shut down and that others read the reviews before falling for this scam.

Do not under any circumstances ever get this insurance it is such a scam they cover nothing at all. I went to the doctors for a routine check up and they said it was a pre existing condition and wouldn't pay it. There was no condition to be pre existing. So i paid them for a year and then went to the doctor 1 time and it wasnt covered so not only did they steal my money every month for a year then i had to pay 150 dollars to my doctors because my regular doctor visit isnt covered. This company is just out here to steal from you pleaseeeeeee do not even consider this its such a scam. Innocent people who work hard and try to provide for their family should not be subjected to this its horrible its so wrong. Someone is stealing millions from us and dont care one single bit about you. The costumer service is just as bad. Please dont give me the same fake response everyone else gets and just do you job please i paid you on time every month now you do your part

Absolutely the best customer service I have had in...

Absolutely the best customer service I have had in years. I worked with an "insurance broker" to obtain a month of coverage in between jobs and the broker did not follow back up with LOOMIS to cancel it. I was charged an extra month on my credit card and their customer service went above and beyond to help me out. I truly felt the customer services rep was advocating for me and after a few calls he resolved the issue. They did NOT have to help me out, but did, and I really appreciated it.

This company is not a scam. I ve had auto insurance through The Loomis Company for over a year and a half now. Not only do they offer reasonable premiums but awesome customer service as well. When I was rear ended in October, they had someone come out and take pictures of my car that day to fill my claim along with providing me with a rental car. The person at fault s insurance company couldn t cover much of anything so thankfully The Loomis Company handled it 100% making things easy for me. I highly recommend their auto insurance so much that my parents and brother go through them for both auto and home insurance.

This is the ABSOLUTE WORST SHAM OF A COMPANY EVER.
Seriously. Ever. I have been using them for 14 months now only because I am terrified that there is some microscopic clause somewhere that says that if I cancel, then any pending claims will be denied.
I got sick with Salmonella food poisoning, and became so dangerously dehydrated that I had to go to the ER. I was admitted for a 2 night stay in the hospital, where I was administered fluids and Cipro (antibiotic).
The total cost of the stay (not including all of the separate physicians bills) is 21,000$.
LOOMIS HAS NOT PAID ONE CENT.

This was almost 8 months ago. They say that they are waiting for Information from my doctors office so that they can evaluate any type of pre-existing issue. Never mind that Food poisoning is not pre-existing, But my doctors have sent them the requested information three or four times. Loomis always says they are still waiting for the info, or do not have the right information.
When I look on the Better Business Bureau for this company, EVERYONE has the exact same runaround, and the exact same story. Stay very very far away from this. My family may have to declare bankruptcy because I dared to get food poisoning and have health insurance at the same time. I have collectors calling all the time. Awful
UPDATE: I emailed the representative below all of my information, etc as requested. NO ONE CONTACTED ME. EVER. NO RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL. NOTHING. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST BUNCH OF CROOKS EVER

I have been with this company for years my husband and my kids also use them for car,homeowners and rental insurance have had nothing but great service! Danielle always helps right away and believe me with three teenagers she had her work cut out for her and anytime she wasn't in the office the other employees were nothing but helpful! Thank you! !!

Do not get this bogus "insurance", they DO NOT COVER ANYTHING!!!! They set you up for automatic payments and take out money whenever they please. We called to cancel our policy , and had 3 more payments of $400.00 taken out within a months time. They will not cancel our policy and stop taking payments out!

I received this insurance through Integrity Staffing through Amazon Fullfilment Center. I have been waiting for months to get converted so that I can get the good insurance that Amazon has. I called Loomis to see what they cover for medical clinics and they didn't really provide me with any information. My dilemma today is that I have an infected tooth and am trying to go to a minute clinic in the midst of the corona craziness going on.. I am trying to see what, if anything my insurance covers for minute clinic visits.

I was silly not to check google reviews for this - this thread of comments is absolutely overflowing with reasons to stay clear of this company. But if you need one more: in trying to sell the plan, an agent told me it offered %80 -%100 coverage of emergency care and preventative checks. In reality, it was less than 5% of the bill I received from the ER. Lost upwards of $2,000, don't do it to yourself...

Even a "0" star rating would be to good for Loomis Company. I had to cancel my policy after the 5th month due to Loomis constantly withdrawing additional funds from my account which were not authorized. Eventually after much 'going back and forth' LOOMIS finally reimbursed me the extra $300+ ...however, each month somehow they were adding and charging me for extra policies that I never requested! Totally unacceptable!
Warning: Do not bother with this company unless you have $$$ to throw away for policies that are not yours!

This is the worst health insurance I've had to deal with, do not use them. They first denied coverage because they claimed a typical doctor's visit wasn't covered. After fixing that issue they claimed that the facility I went to wasn't within their network, even though I used their own method they gave me to find the correct place I could go. They try to weasel out of paying in anyway possible. I've submitted a BBB claim and hope something will come of that.

60 years old. My insurance premium through B/C B/S were over 1200.00 month. Loomis gave me a coverage, more for hospital and accident coverage. My company offered coverage the next year starting Jan 1. My policy ran from 13th of each month. Called company as I wanted to make partial payment. The rep said to make full payment, e mail date coverage of Loomis should stop. I did . Have my original email that stated Dec 31st of that year. Never received overpayment. Called company, rep stated I had terminated policy Jan. 13 and was not due refund. Sent 4 times copy of original email with dec 31st date. No response . Poor service and thieves in my eyes

This company will not pay a claim. They will deny ever claim saying pre existing condition will send you paperwork after paperwork to fill out wanting to know every doctor visit you have had in the past 5 years including doctors name address phone number date of service what you were there for. Also diagnostic test lab results any thing to keep from paying. Then after a lot of time expires they will deny the claim and good luck talking to someone about it. By then the bills have piled up and have been turned over to collections. Thanks to these deceivers I m 40k in debt.

Mis-sold a policy which did not cover my pre-existing condition, then when I had to visit the doctor for something else entirely, I submitted my claim only to be informed 3 months later, that NOTHING was covered - not the visit; nor the bloodworks done, NOTHING.
Ironically, my blood pressure seems to be way higher since I took out this policy. Needless to say it's been cancelled, and - to their credit - the company did apologize for not knowing their arse from their elbow.
Please avoid.

TEACHERS BEWARE! I am a teacher and needed short term insurance while I was in between teaching jobs and moving across the country to a new teaching job in the summer. I became eligible for coverage at my new job on Oct 1 2018, so I called that day to cancel with Loomis. I was told I needed a letter from my new insurance company providing proof of insurance before I canceled. Loomis told me they would reimburse me the payments I was out, as long as I could provide the letter showing when my new insurance began. So, I called my county's HR Department to request a letter showing I had coverage and on what day it began, but was told I had to get that letter through our school system's insurance company. So I called our school's insurance provider and requested the letter but never got it. I called my school's insurance provider back in March as I knew it was something I needed to take care of because I just can't afford to keep paying it each month on a teacher's salary (Its my Spring Break right now and I finally have some me-time to take care of personal matters...) and finally got the letter with the information Loomis requested. I called today to tell them I had the letter and they said it was something I never needed and they never told me to get it and I could have canceled whenever I wanted. They told me they had sent me an email with cancellation directions and those were the ones I should have followed. They refuse to reimburse me any money or let me listen to the recorded conversation from October. They reassured me that they listened to the October conversation and "I was just confused" and "they never told me to do that". I wouldn't have gone through all of the trouble to contact my HR department, or my current insurer to get all of the information they requested if they hadn't told me to do it. What would the point of that have been? Why would I make that up? They knew things move slowly in the insurance world and wanted to buy more of my time, literally. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company. DON'T DO IT TEACHERS. GET YOUR SHORT TERM DISABILITY SOMEWHERE ELSE! They have taken $88.65 from my account every month since October, and won't give back a dime.

This is not "insurance" by any stretch of the word...

This is not "insurance" by any stretch of the word. This company masquerades as insurance but does everything within their power to not pay legitimate claims. My children went to the doctor's office for strep throat and an ear infection, respectively. Neither claim was covered and both were instead termed to be "pre-existing," which, medically speaking, they can not be. All doctors involved sent in all of the required paperwork, and yet Loomis claims they didn't receive the information from 1 doctor who showed me the copy of the form that his office sent in. Thank God I have not had any large claims to submit, because they would undoubtedly pull the exact same thing and fight even harder to deny those claims.

The objective of Loomis is to deny payment for legitimate claims for so long and to make you jump through so many hoops that you just end up paying the entirety of the claim out of pocket. My kid's doctor is about to send me to collections because these claims have been denied for so long. It's embarrassing and shameful and someone should take legal action against this company. What they are doing can not be legal. Do not fall for the sales pitch. You will be paying full boat for every claim you submit. Please heed this warning.

Back in March I sent them a message requesting my plan be canceled since it was supposed to be back in January and they never did it. They say it has to be done in a portal and my request was never granted. This company is a total scam, I will go without insurance before using this company ever again!

I made a huge mistake not to take the Google reviews for this company seriously. IT IS SO TRUE!!! I give it one star because I have to, otherwise it would be a negative number! Don't use this company! They REQUIRE you to put in your credit card number at time of application and charge it immediately. However, I couldn't see any doctor. Don't waste your money on them!

I have struggled trying to get this company to pay what they owe for my medical bills. First they claim the they didn't cover what was a simple doctor's visit, which was finally argued back and forth until they finally said that the location wasn't covered at all. I selected the location based on exactly how they said to. There is no reason they shouldn't be covering my bills but seem to try and drag their feet at whatever they can to not pay. Terrible company.

(Off my work e-mail) Stephanie Damesworth is my name. : ) If I could give no stars I would. I called today because it had been 3 weeks since I faxed my claim to them. I called and they say that they have not received it. They finally find it and then it's denied. The customer service rep I was talking to didn't even know why either. She then tried to connect me to the department that denied it and they were not in after a 30 minute wait on hold. She then talks to her co-worker to then inform me "they must not of received everything they need" but yet again the paperwork, mind you, was sent altogether, everything I could possibly receive from my app. I then tell them I am no longer keeping this "bill" and then I was told I have to e-mail them why and then wait 3 weeks for my money back from cancelling. I have had nothing but trouble out of this company. If you want to waste your money, just put it in the shredder and wave it good-bye.

I am not pleased at all with this company. I have over $8,000 worth of claims for a colonoscopy I had done on 9/20/19 Loomis has not paid one dime! They needed info from my doctors and I had to send them fax numbers and contacts so they could do their job and they still aren't doing anything. I have been paying them $500 a month since August for what?? I will be 65 in March and be eligible for Medicare and cannot wait to drop them! I'm sorry I signed up with them!

I was injured as a football official and we have Loomis as a secondary insurance. I have surgery and therapy all the while expecting not to get much of a bill after both my primary and this place pays. I was wrong, they paid $468 of the remainder of my surgery which left me with a $1800 bill. Then they applied every bit of my therapy charges to yet another deductible, which left me with the entire bill for that. Now I am looking at having to pay over $2 grand. What a joke company. Hear the name Loomis = run!

A predatory company. Needed temporary insurance for my daughter after her mother lost her job. "Cancelled" health coverage only to find many months later that I continued to be charged $19.99 per month for "Prescription Coverage" which I don't recall requesting in the first place. When I contacted the company to attempt to cancel this policy and recurring charge, they told me my request would be forwarded to billing and they would "review my request for cancellation". I continued to receive emails from billing telling me they were "reviewing my request" and not to contact them but they would respond in 10-15 days...They continue to bill for a service I did not request and attempted to cancel. I looked into this company on the Better Business Bureau website and I literally could not count the number of complaints that had been issued against them...Pretty sure their business practices are illegal.

I need to add a caveat...After speaking with my credit card company, I was recommended to contact Loomis again to insure my policy was cancelled and my recurring charge discontinued. I did so early Monday morning. I had no difficulty contacting them and was helped by a very polite service-provider, "Shea". I told her exactly why I was calling. The conversation was very polite. She immediately refunded my last charge and cancelled my recurring charge. If her service is a reflection of this company's attempt to improve the way it conducts itself and its' business practices, then it's a move in the right direction.

This company is a sham. They haven't even begun to process my claim beginning Nov 26, and it is a never ending merry-go-round with their customer service.
They tell service providers that I haven't completed the required forms to settle the claim; so I call to confirm that I have - in fact months ago - completed the forms, and they gladly confirm I have completed all forms and then offer that the service provider hasn't completed the form...Obviously this is just a stalling tactic, as I call back and confirm that the service provider has also completed the required forms - multiple times in some cases.
Additionally, they sent one of the service provider's claims up to one of their sister-insurance companies when it originally was submitted, and won't work with that provider to reattach that claim - that they mishandled - to my claim.
They have literally no intention of completing my claim because the only thing at stake is my credit. The merry-go-round is broken.

You may have to freeze bank account to stop them from withdrawing payments from your account. Document all conversations with date and time, keep a record of all correspondence, emails etc.

I wish I didn t have to give them one star. This insurance is a complete joke. They do not pay! Read reviews on google and anywhere you can before buying this! They faithfully withdrawal the premium and you do not know how bad it sucks until you need it. My healthy husband who doesn t normally get sick or see a doctor tore his bicep. For four months this was under investigation by this JOKE of an insurance company. When they finally got done with what we believe to be a fake investigation, they said they only cover $700.00 of an $18,000 surgery! AND the $700 goes towards our deductible. Now that I understand but tell me why it would take four months to investigate if this was pre-existing and why they would waste the time and money to pay an employee if they knew they only covered $700.00 and even that wasn t going to get paid out by them??? We know why! They knew we would have cancelled this mirage policy as soon as we found out we don t even have coverage when needed! They are so dirty, so money-lovin greedy that they wanted to suck as many premiums out of us as they could before we cancelled their HORRIBLE, fake insurance. I have such disdained for what has happened to us. No one should be stuck with such bills while paying for insurance every month. Our family will scream this from the roof tops until these fraudulent sinners are out of business. How any person could work for these crooks is beyond me. I could never work for a company that rips off hard working Americans.

They have been unwilling to process a single claim and all requested documentation has been sent multiple. If you want any decent medical insurance, stay away from this company..Never have I seen any company run so poorly. They take your money and run.

I m pretty sure the insurance we bought from Loomis was illegal until the 2018 tax bill. Either way it should be illegal as they did everything possible to deny all of our claims. I m not sure how a yearly dermatologist check is a pre-existing condition. Terrible company that should be shut down for misleading and questionable practices.

If I could give The Loomis Company a negative star, I would!
After paying almost $10,000 in premiums to this company over several years for a policy and a GAP rider for emergencies, they have denied the only fairly significant claim that we ever made. My husband's emergency room visit has been a fiasco to work through and after 9 months they have still not paid claiming they "need more paperwork" from the hospital and emergency physicians and that "they coded incorrectly"...this is the worst health insurance company I've ever seen.
In addition, several health care billers have said they have seen the Loomis Company repeatedly pay less or nothing at all in circumstances where other insurances have paid.
Do not do business with this insurance company. You'll be sorry if you do.

Purchased this short term insurance between employ...

Purchased this short term insurance between employers and had the policy roughly 6 months. (By the way, I was the benefits administrator for over 15 years at my previous employer.)
Of the 6 claims submitted (one of them lab work at a doctor's appointment so 2 claims, 1 appointment), they have only "paid" 1 - the rest they say are under a pre-existing condition investigation (which is crazy). They also claim they haven't received the requested information from the providers, even though the providers have told me they have sent it in. The customer service rep - although pleasant - told me they haven't received the requested information and once it was received it could take 60-90 days for review. Seriously??!!???
This has been the most unfortunate experience I've had with a health insurance company ever.

The WORST insurance broker I've ever had to deal with. My plan has an HRA account and there's more money in my account than needed to cover my deductible. It takes an act of God to get reimbursed for things. You can talk to 4 different customer service reps and get 4 totally different answers to questions. It's all red tape and the runaround. Normally nothing gets done until our HR Dept calls to complain. Going with these idiots was the biggest mistake my employer ever made and they're incompetent enough to make me think looking for a different job is my best option. TERRIBLE service.

Worst insurance company ever. Forget about what your policy says because NOTHING is ever covered. I had to call about 5 times just to get them to accept the claim forms because they apparently were "missing information" despite EVERYTHING being on the form. I currently have a complaint filed with my state insurance board and more than likely will be hiring an attorney because I find it hard to believe that none of my claims were eligible. They even went as far as to incorrectly code a procedure for a pregnancy and then have the nerve to say my provider billed it incorrectly and I need a new bill to send to them. Are you serious!?! You people can't correctly code something and now I have to send you something that I can't even get from my provider because they global bill!?! All 3 of m claims have so far been denied when they should've been 100% covered.

I have been really sick, and went to the doctor the other day only to find out that my coverage is only vision. $300 a month for vision insurance!!! I am super upset and will be ending this "policy" immediately.

This company does not communicate with customers at all. I finally received an insurance card after paying them for two months of insurance recently. Obviously they did not reimburse me for any of the money I paid during the time in which I was unable to access my covered benefits (the below posters indicate similarly horrible experiences). Lastly, when I finally actually was able to use this insurance for something I had need for, they find multiple loopholes and clauses in their contracts which essentially amounts to them covering near nothing for an exorbitant premium they charge. Everyone I talked to would allude to vague "policies" that they had to abide by, but no one was able to provide any proof of this. Additional concerns include them insisting I activated my account verbally when I in fact did not when I asked for a refund for the coverage I purchased but did not receive access to, which was the most troubling feature of this company to me.

My mom purchased this coverage for me briefly when I left our family health insurance plan. My input was required to activate the coverage, which they never received - specifically, because they were marketed as being Anthem BC/BS insurance by the broker who sold this Loomis coverage (Loomis only administers the Anthem BC/BS insurance apparently). Calling Anthem multiple times led to confusion when they were unsure of my identity. And when we finally realized Loomis was the company to speak with two months later, I ask to look over the policy which was selected before I provide this agreement. They said they would send a copy of the policy in email. Running theme here - email was never received, let alone agreed to. And when I ask to cancel and receive refund out of frustration of their refusal to cover any meaningful expenses whatsoever, their go to move is to make false claims regarding the activation of the policy. If I could rate this company a -5, I would - I sincerely mean this to anyone trying to cover themselves or loved ones: you would be better off being uninsured than connected to Loomis in any way.

Edit: There are a handful of very vague reviews on here talking about how Loomis isn't all that bad. Please note how intentionally vague (and fake) they are.
I just now received a $180 bill from my primary care physician's office because Loomis wouldn't pay a simple primary care visit. Talked to their customer service people - apparently they need a form filled out and returned via mail for even very basic visits (presumably so they can come up with another reason to deny any and all claims). I wouldn't be surprised at this point if they just deny all claims completely.

They literally don't cover ANYTHING-- they told me our yearly checkups, like a normal OBGYN appt or my 2 year old's well check with no immunizations were "pre-existing conditions" and denied any coverage. Total criminals. I'm actually really surprised that there's a real person responding to these comments-- my husband and I truly felt like we fell for some insurance scam.

This company is selling Short Term Medical Coverage on behalf of IHC CS, Independence Holding Group on Behalf of Standard Security Life Insurance of New York over the Internet but it doesn't want to pay out any claims. When my healthy, 18 year old son needed his appendix removed, I discovered that The Loomis Co, by its own admission, was automatically telling every Provider Nationwide that all Active Policy holders had no coverage. When I complained, they launched a Pre-Existing Condition Investigation and stopped answering my calls and emails. I have not been able to collect a dime from these folks or even get the insurance company rate for services rendered. Upon reading the tsunami of complaints on the Internet where they have an average rating of 1 out of 5 (only because people couldn't chose anything lower), I realized, these people are running a giant corporate scam. They are selling the illusion of insurance but don't actually intend to pay any claims. This is very serious because people are declaring bankruptcy, getting sicker and in some cases, dying as a result. Don't even think about purchasing this product.

It's the worst company, I mean the WORST. Terrible customer service, disrespectful employees. They charged me for 6 month over a plan I never received and when I called to cancel and ask for a refund they kept passing the call around until it reach the rudest person to tell you no refund. It's a scam. I call for this company to be shut down otherwise more people will fall victim.

Reply: it seems like the company replied to my comment but if they took the time analyze my comment they would see that I said I never received anything, NO ID CARD, NO PLAN, NOTHING. I had to Google your number because I had no ID card. And again I called the company a week later to verify if they cancelled the plan they said NO. They still wanted to charge me after I cancelled it. If you don't believe me read other reviews, I'm not the only one. I hope someone reads this and stay away. They are thieves wearing suits. Stay away!!!

I got insurance so my kids could get vaccinations, I was told that vaccinations were covered because it was prophylactic care. Turns out they were not covered at all, now i have been left with 1,000 in bills. I would have chosen a different company or plan but they lied to me. And it wasnt a misunderstanding I only had one requirement in my plan (the vaccinations). And when i called to clarify the bill they stated "no one could help me but a supervisor and no one was in that day to help me. and they would call me back. that was 2 weeks ago. the problem is still not resolved.

I hate to give this company a bad review. Customer service is always very helpful. I am just truly disappointed as I am apart of the Ehp group and I ve called months ago to have my doctors added so I won t have to pay a huge bill. Customer service was great and advised me that a lady Andi would be handling this. I ve yet to hear anything back, and my co-workers say the same thing. As previously stated the company is great but I m truly unhappy with Ms. Andi. I hope this is resolved soon or I will being filling a complaint

I wish zero stars was an option. This company is a scam and will not pay for a dime for your doctors visit if you don't meet their deductible. Which is absolute BS. I went to the ER in November of 2018 for an eye or ear infection (can't remember which) and put it down as pre-existing! Therefor, they won't pay for any of it. What's even worse is when I called up the agent to get signed up for it, he told me the complete opposite! For the sake of your sanity and wallet, do NOT go with this company. They are liars and scammers! I want my money back!

I am not one to post poor reviews bc I'm really easy going & prefer to post good reviews bc too many only post when they're upset. DO NOT FOR ANY REASON AT ALL USE LOOMIS FOR HEALTH INSURANCE. Image too much for ACA but I needed an insurance to cover me for 6 months when I became eligible for company benefits. I paid Loomis $302 monthly for 6 months & recouped a total of $105 in coverage.

Age 63 with no past medical issues except back surgery in 2009 & believe it or not, it worked. I'm currently assigned to Central PA, needed prescriptions renewed, found a Dr to see me (I live In Reno but haven't been home for over a year), my BP was high but I told him I just needed BP med renewed. Still greatly concerned he makes me an appt for a cardio test. On test day billing inputs my insurance info into their system and tells me "The test is covered". Cool thanks.

My total billing for 6 weeks of various appts was $7396. My total covered by Loomis is $105. Loomis paid 1.4% of the entire billing. My meds weren't covered either bc it was pre-existing so I knew that. The cardio testing is "outpatient" service therefore a No-Go. At my age I've always had insurance. I have NEVER had an issue with health insurance but except for high BP & high cholesterol I've been very lucky in life.

If you can afford it steer clear of Loomis at all costs. I wasted $2000 in premiums thanks to Obama's mandatory health insurance law. And people wonder why I voted for Trump.

My experience has been a nightmare. There is a reason that that is business is not even a part of the better business bureau. I rarely leave negative reviews, but feel it necessary to warn people.

I purchased this insurance while waiting for open enrollment. I asked specifically about coverage for regular check ups and specialist visits when enrolling. They denied my mammogram visit stating it was preventative not a specialist, so I had to pay out of pocket. Yes really! Even my radiologist was shocked. Then they denied my dermatologist visit they claim due to prexisting conditions. I only went to a dermatologist one other time which was 6 years ago and have been fine. My health has been perfect other than my appendix taken out, which has nothing to do with dermatology, so it makes no sense. It s very deceptive and not worth it. This company should be shut down in my honest opinion because they are dishonest in their practices.

Do not get this insurance!!! They have some serious issues with billing, they cancelled insurance policy but conveniently forgot to cancel the automatic payments. Many calls to customer "service" and they inform us that insurance has been cancelled already, faxed details of all automatic payments that continued after cancelling and nothing, no response. Finally SIXTEEN MONTHS LATER got my bank to reject automatic draws from Loomis and only then did I get multiple emails (although they were automatic emails) saying my insurance was going to be cancelled. They only care about lining their pockets with my money. My bank wasnt even able to reverse any of those charges because Loomis has an agreement with their bank that all chargebacks need to be reviewed by their customer service department, which is disgustingly terrible. They burned a hole in my wallet. My biggest regret is that I should've read these reviews before signing up. Terrible excuse for an insurance company. They should all be arrested for fraud and extortion.

When I called to dispute this they informed me that the 30 day plan I signed up for "didn't exist" and I'd signed up for a 6 month plan. I believe this company is unethical and scams customers.

DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE, it is a scam. I purchased this insurance for short term until my insurance at my job kicked in. I wanted it for emergencies only because I am a healthy young woman. I suffered a horrible emergency that almost killed me, and the company makes bogus claims about investigating a pre-existing condition. No pre-existing condition would cause what happened to me, and they do not even say what possible condition I could have that would keep them from paying. I gathered all the information they wanted from all my doctor visits over the last 5 years with proof of them being sent (fax confirmation, signatures) and every time I call they try to tell me they are waiting on information. When I fight them on it, they then come back to tell me that it s actually all in processing and can take 60-90 days. It has been 8 MONTHS. I am facing 40-50k of medical bills because of this company. They are extremely disorganized and will do whatever they can to keep from paying what they owe. On top of the stress of almost dying and the months of recovering at home, I have had these bills hanging over my head all this time.

UPDATE: it has been well over a year, and Loomis is continuing to not pay my 30k emergency surgery bill. I was actually told by a senior customer service representative that they processed my claim incorrectly and when I saw my policy I realized that I should ve never been paying more than 4K for this bill. Even with her admitting that they messed up, I continue to have customer service representatives trying to tell me they need more information from doctors about pre existing conditions which I was told 6 months ago they had everything they needed. I spent months sending and re sending paperwork and talking to doctor offices I hadn t been to in years to have this resolved. Even after admitting they processed my claims wrong they continue to try to tell me that they need more information to get out of paying.

The kicker is they already determined I had no pre existing conditions And paid my ER bill for the same exact emergency. It s the surgery bill they won t pay. It s all bogus and a scam. I am afraid I will have to sue to get this settled as I am now being sent to collections.

UPDATE: I initiated a complaint with the Ohio Insurance Department against this company, and now, finally, OVER A YEAR LATER, they are paying my claim properly. I encourage everyone having issues with them to file complaints with their state insurance departments so that the state is aware of what they are doing.

First of all they made me wait 7 days to process my application, its 2018, you don t need 7 days to do anything especially in a company this small. Second of all, they went to mail 2 companies to confirm the incidents that happened, although we already sent it to them at the start. Obvious scam.

For the people who are complaining about them in the reviews above , you clearly don't understand that this is not an insurance company, but rather an insurance broker who deals with all types of insurances and finds the best one for you. Never had a problem with them!

They literally stole my credit card number to buy taco bell for themselves. I called them to update my credit card on file and 3 hours later I had a $21 charge from the taco bell thats 1.5 miles from their office in a state I dont live in. I messaged them through the member portal to complain and they didn't care. Said to file a fraud report with my credit card company and they wont do anything or admit to it. STAY FAR AWAY!!!

Update: Yes, within 12 hours after my google review you reached out to me. But 3 days ago I contacted your company and got the response stated above. So I guess they care about their google review but not the customer.

As others have stated stay away from this insurance company! I had a short term policy with them and then had to have surgery from an accident. They are flat out denying all claims. It's now four months later and the providers are threatening to send me to collections. I have sent, repeatedly, all the information Loomis has requested, only to be asked by a different rep to send it again. And now, still, they have not paid any of the providers. This must be illegal... I just don't know where I can turn for help. This company has caused me a tremendous amount of anxiety and suffering.

Coded a routine hospitalization for pneumonia as an outpatient medical procedure to get out of having to cover my claim. I have now hired an attorney to fight this company. Avoid them at all costs!

I had an insurance policy through them for 6-8 months and after never receiving an insurance card or policy information by mail or email, I called to cancel and that's when I was sent around to different people only to be told it can't be done verbally and they didn't even have any of the correct contact information for me but were able to have the correct billing information. I had to Google what information i got from my banks billing statement in order to find and cancel my policy.

They don't pay for routine well visits (like a GYN annual or wellness exam) and then they deny problem visits stating previous conditions that don't even exist. It would have been cheaper to NOT have insurance than to pay their premiums plus the $1000 worth of bills that they DO NOT cover for someone who is actually trying to do preventative maintenence.
