Worthing Borough Council Review

Very unhelpful and sneaky. We moved into a property in Worthing as students and informed the council giving us exemption on council tax, on moving out we also honestly informed them that we d be doing so a week earlier from when our tenancy would end, and in return they refrained from telling us that our exemption would not apply and we were charged for not being in the property even though we were still paying rent for it. Extremely unfair, untrustworthy and deceitful. Money is clearly their only priority.

Trying to talk to council planning department before spending loads on official plans and planning consent, so told the 're was a drop in that could be done face to face. Was told to go down after 3.30, arrived to see some one only to be met by the most unhelpful receptionist I've ever met. Needless to say I was sent away without seeing anyone.

Regularly use deceptive tactics to ellicit parking fines (hiding parking suspension notices, waiting until morning of suspension to put a adequate signage etc.). Worst council I ve dealt with!

Cllr Edward Crouch, rather than basking in your own farts (5* review...) how about generating some real positive reviews for the Council. It is clear the council is disconnected from the community. Greed has got the better of it, rather than building more attractions for tourists we are wasting two great spots (aquarena & teville gate) with properties that no one can afford and Worthing is one of the lowest paying towns in the UK!, maybe once things like this are dealt with i will up my star rating. This town has so much potential, but as always the greed of few out weighs the need of the many.

Treatment very good ,but jobs worth on desk wouldn't let me book the 4 appointments I need to book as the booking desk not on way out and I have to get home and phone up to book

3 phone calls and nearly 40 minutes and still no one answers....shocking!!

Phoned at 9:25 and was told to go in. Was a also told it was a walk in and I would be seen this morning. I arrived shortly before 10 to two people waiting to be seen to be told to come back this afternoon. I think this is the most unfriendly and unhelpful CAB I have ever had the displeasure to deal with
