Legends Honda Review

Overall experience was good. The process took too long to be completed. The dealer stated that we will get out of there within an hour or less. Took us almost 3 hours before we even hit the pavement. So, yeah. Expect the unexpected.

Easy to get get, easy to get out. Friendly, nice work area / lounge with WiFi. Also provides a Cerner discount.

I went in against my better judgment on a Saturday. Despite being incredibly busy, everyone I dealt with was very nice and very patient. I showed up 100% sure of what I wanted... but ended up test driving 6 different cars. While I felt like I was being a pain in the behind, not even one employee made me feel like one. They were fantastic from start to finish and I LOVE the car I went home with. So thanks again... Bobby, Shawn, Amber and Julie, for making my first Honda experience a great one!!

Esmeralda Herrera was the most knowledgeable Dealership Rep. I have ever met. She took the time to advise us of all the models available and the distinction between each, that helped us decide which vehicle was the best for us that day. She was professional and courteous to both us the whole time and we appreciate the help she and the Legends Team gave us.

This was the best car buying experience I've ever had (and I've had several over the years). On the sales side, both Jayden and Dylan were top notch. I was delighted when they offered to bring the car to me (in Lee's Summit) for a test drive - which is such a great example of putting customer needs first and removing barriers.
On the financing side, Hardeep was amazing! I really appreciated the style in which he worked - very no-nonsense, not high pressure and so respectful of my time which was so, so appreciated.
My #1 concern going in to this situation was feeling like I would be held hostage for hours at the dealership and all three guys heard my concern and proactively did what they could to get me out of there in a timely manner so I could go about my day.

Bought an F150, love the truck so far and I was very well taken care of. Negotiating was easy and no pressure. Sergio and Ethan made the whole experience great. They even did a final detail and filled up the tank. You don t always get that anymore and it s the little things that make the experience great. Oh and of course the pine tree air freshener was really the backbone of the deal, thanks Sergio.

My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from the team at Legends Honda. We had a great experience with everyone at the dealership. Shopping for a larger vehicle to accommodate our growing family, we went to check out the CR-V and Pilot. Our salesman, Don, was the best! He showed us all the different options and even sat in the back seat with us to give me a better idea of how much room each vehicle had. He was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Everyone we've worked with, from Don and the sales manager, to the service team, has far exceeded my expectations. The service has been phenomenal and everyone very friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend Legends Honda if you're shopping for a vehicle.

I have been a customer of Legends Honda for years. Everyone from Par Gosal who was my sales person, to Shawn Habibi with Finance and finally Esmeralda Herrera who took me on my test drive, helped set up everything, it couldn't have gone smoother.

Spectacular dealership. I went to buy a used car and drove all over Kansas City for four days before deciding to look at a Rav4 here. Normally I try not to call ahead; I prefer to surprise the salespeople so that they don't have time to jump start cars or reset sensors etc, but I was short on time so I did call ahead. Brandon Adams took the car across the street to the Toyata dealership to make sure he knew all of the features of the car before I arrived. When I entered the building, he walked up to me with a carfax report and the service records for the vehicle before taking me out and showing me every last feature on that car. I don't think I had to ask a single question. I was so impressed. The car was in excellent condition and listed at a fair price, there was no pressure, and once I decided to buy the transaction was super smooth. Hopefully next time I go to buy a car, they'll have what I want and I don't have to look elsewhere.

I normally hate looking at cars, but in the case of Legends Honda, there was nothing to get stressed over! Ethan and Donnie were great helps, and very courteous along with moving my experience as quickly as they could. I would buy another car from this dealer for sure! I was in the market for a new car. I visited a well known Honda dealer in the area who offered some of the worst customer service I've ever received. At that point I had resigned to buying a Kia, then I was contacted by Shawn H from Legends Honda via email. I was intrigued by the offer he made through email and decided to visit the dealership in person. Let me tell you, this was a great decision. I was greeted with warm friendly customer service from Deandra C. Both Deandre C and Shawn H were incredibly knowledgeable and fun to work with. These gentlemen answered all of my questions and went above and beyond the status quo to ensure I had the most outstanding car buying experience. Never at one time did I feel pressured. I am so glad I made the decision to visit Legends Honda and purchase my vehicle from here. I live 25 minutes away from the dealer but cannot imagine taking my new Civic anywhere else for service. I give Legends Honda a 10+. Best Honda dealer in the metro.

My 2016 Honda Accord Sport was totalled 3 weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to do, and a few people I knew mentioned Legends Honda. They said I should take a look, and see if they could help. I live quite far, but decided to make a call. Let me first start by saying, that my credit is far from good and I really have no business financing a box of candy! I spoke to Scott Emerick, the General Sales Manager. This was around 9:30 a.m. I told him my situation, and I needed help. He was glad to hear that I had GAP insurance on my 2016. I was very hesitant, and reluctant, but he said he would do all he could to get me a new vehicle. How many times have your heard a similar "spiel" from a "car guy". So, I entered my credit info online and waited.
It couldn't have been more than 3 hours and Scott called me back! He told me I was approved on the exact same car! I didn't believe him! He assured me he was on the level and proceeded with the details. Not only did he get me approved, he did so at a rate 5 times lower than I truly deserved!
My experience was absolutely amazing! And the easiest process I have ever experienced. I was in and out in about an hour and a half.

I can't figure out how to edit my previous review--I think Google just hates me, but I'm updating it to 5 stars.
I left it at 4 stars previously due to a concerning review I had read that the service after buying was not good, but that was not my case at all.
They got in the options that we wanted in stock. I showed up at lunchtime, they took the car, added the options and detailed the car. While I waited they offered to shuttle me and I went and had lunch and walked around the Legends. The called and picked me up when things were finished.
Super easy and no complaints. My car was perfect and I liked that I had something to do while I waited.

Overall very good. We called them after the Honda dealer near us wouldn't negotiate down from MSRP for the new CRV, and they quoted us a deal. They have a different setup than many dealers, as they have the managers deal directly with you for negotiations and the technician specialists (i.e. Sales reps) just tell you all about the cars. Our guy was excellent and was more thorough than the dealer near us.
They were true to their word on the deal they offered us via phone and they offered us additional extra to compensate with not having the interior color we wanted (granted, this was the end of the month so they were willing to deal). When it came to financing, through Honda the rates are on the higher side, but they also are willing to finance through other banks, and that ended up being cheaper.
It was misleading (though I don't believe intentionally), when we we asked if there was any penalty for paying down the principle early to decrease the amount of interest paid, he said no--this might have been true for the Honda plan, but the bank plan specifically states that the interest for the duration of the loan must be paid off in full for the planned loan length (even if we paid it off tomorrow) which means there is no incentive to pay back early.
We bought in the last minute of the end of the month so we will need to go back for the car detailing and options---if that all goes smoothly, we can raise this review up a star!
We overall got a much better price than the other Honda dealer and great service.

Great experience today with Scott and sales manager Michael Yehie. We came in looking for a 2017 Accord and they were helpful at getting us a car we liked and a price we were all happy with.

Purchasing a new car couldn't have been made easier. Ethan Lemon was great and easy to work with. Steve Boissonneau and Allison Her were a pleasure to do business with as well. Hopefully I'm not buying a new car anytime soon, but if I do, I'll be going back to these folks at Legends.

Had a pleasant car buying experience last August, 2017. Found a used 2012 Ford Focus on the lot for a really good price and bought it. Easy buying experience.

However, the car had some previous damage on the back bumper, but the dealership decided to put it up for sale anyway. Was told that I could bring it back in to have the dealership fix it. I lived a couple hours away, but brought it in when I was passing through later around Thanksgiving. Let the dealership know over a week in advance like they asked and got a loaner in the meantime. Over a week later I come to pick up my car and learn that they haven't touched it and the damage is still there. Was then told that they would just send me a check to have the damages fixed.

Two weeks later the check still hasn't shown up. I decide to go to a garage to get an estimate on how much it will cost to get fixed. I call the dealership, am told the check was returned for some reason from the post office and I wasn't informed. I send them the estimate and ask that the check specifically be for that amount, which they agree to do, and am told that the check is being resent.

Again the check never arrives and I spend a few months calling and asking if it has been sent and verifying they have the right address. Finally this last May I ask them to send it to a friend's address as at this point the dealership is subtley implying that this is somehow my fault. The check never arrives at my friend's address. I then move because at this point it has been a year since I bought the car and I got a new job and ask that it be sent to my new adress, the check never arrives.

Let me be clear, the car information and title nor the payment requests ever had difficulty making their way to my address, just the check that Legends Honda owes me to fix the pre-existing damage on this car.

At this point I have am calling to try and get this frustrating company to electornically wire the money to my bank account so that they can stop claiming that they letters keep getting lost in the mail (though they will not send me a tracking number even when I explicitly ask for one), because they either aren't actually sending them or they aren't capable of properly addressing an envelope.

If you buy a car and don't have any problems and never have to contact the company again, it's probably a good choice. But good luck on having them follow through with their written promises or ever getting a hold of a representative over the phone. It's telling when the secretary becomes frustrated because you've been on hold for 15 minutes and hung up on each time.

We purchased our Odyssey from Legends Honda in 2013 and have used them for service ever since. I have to say I have never met a more friendly, helpful associate than Chad Kleppin! He has taken amazing care of us, best service ever!

Going to Legends Honda was the best decision I made in my search for a car. I'd like to thank my salesman Aaron Clark for his patience, he's the best! If you want to go buy a car, expecting to be treated as a number on a board and not a human, this is the place for you. I purchased a vehicle through them recently and it had squeaky brakes. I took it in and spoke with Bobby Gosal. He said it would be looked at and taken care of. The service guys said they didn't hear anything so they ignored the problem. 2 weeks later and the brakes have still been squeaky. Called back and I was just told "nothing was promised, I just told you they would look at the car for you" I want to know why I took 3 hours out of my day if nothing was done besides a crappy job cleaning the car (window stickers still had residue and it was grimy). I highly reccomend going to a different Honda store.

We purchased our vehicle from Legends Honda earlier in the year. We also purchased the clear coating for the vehicle to be done at a later date. When that day came our vehicle was overlooked and it didn't get done. The Manager personally apologized for the mistake and offered to send someone to pick up and deliver our vehicle when we made our next appointment (we live 1.5 hours away). He also threw in a free service for our vehicle. The second appointment was spot on. Everything was done on time and done well. Very happy with the service and the employees were very nice. Will definitely contact them in the future.

Great Dealership! I just purchased from here a couple days ago and everything went great. I emailed them 4 days prior to purchase and the whole process was simple and smooth. I did have to make a 3 hours drive to get to Legends, it is always a worry that when you drive that far for a new car you might arrive and things aren't what they seemed. This was not the case, the car was exactly what I wanted and there were no surprises in the financing. Everything was exactly as expected. Thanks to the great staff both online and in person.

The people at Legends Honda were very helpful and amazing. I worked with a couple of different people and everyone we met had a smile and was always welcoming. Paul the sales manager was very friendly and respectful. He went above and beyond to help me get in the right car for the right price. I never felt pressured to buy a car and everything was explained to me perfectly. I ended up buying through them and everything from start to finish was great.

My wife and I went in not really sure what we were looking for, but to this specific dealership because three of our friends had recommended them. When we got there, Reggie Blackman helped us out, let us test drive some vehicles, and was A+ helpful every step of the way. We decided to purchase a 2018 Honda HRV, which Reggie and Deandre Clark helped walk us through everything and even got us the awesome blue HRV we were looking at online. I did extensive research online and received multiple prices from other dealers around Kansas City but Legend's Honda gave me the best deal and had the best service. At first, I was hesitant whether they were going to keep their word (since I've dealt with so many shady dealerships in the past), but from start to finish they were excellent to deal with. I worked primarily with Adam Hougland but every other member of the sales team I came across was also extremely helpful. When I wanted to compare the Toyota Highlander and the Honda Pilot side-by-side, they arranged it by the time I arrived at the dealership. My wife and I ended up buying the Honda Pilot and she absolutely loves the car. If you're looking for great service, a laid back atmosphere and the best deal in town then Legends Honda is the perfect place.

We were incredibly pleased with their service and staff! Andrews laid-back friendly, and kind approach. Made it very easy in a very stressful time to find what we were looking for. Our test drive was at our pace, and like driving with a friend. His knowledge of the vehicle was reassuring. He will be our forever Honda guy. I also want to make a special note to Scott, Adam, and the finance team for making all of this happen! You guys are awesome. Hardeep walked us through our paper work, the vans bells, and whistles efficiently while conversing about our family s share intrest in cars. The ladies at the front were very sweet, and helpful. Our over all experience with buying, or even just looking at their selection (which is btw huge) was no pressure, and made legends Honda our Honda home. Chad is a 5-star service mgr who works with a 5-star service shop at Honda Legends! I always do whatever they recommend because they take such good care of my car. I never have any problems with my gorgeous metallic charcoal gray 2013 Honda Civic EX - it runs like a dream because I always do the required maintenance for that mileage point. They even gave me a discount, which was wonderful. I only come here for service on my car. He even put on windshield wipers that only have to be refilled. I never have to buy wipers again! WooHoo! They came initially with a very competitive offer when other dealerships wanted to play the "send me in writing what other dealerships are offering" game. Steve B. was awesome to work with and we came to a deal mostly over email/phone. He was very clear with an "out the door" price that included the optional accessories I wanted as well as any dealer admin fees. Overall, Legends Honda was very professional, competitive on price, up front about everything with no gimmicks, and made the car buying experience enjoyable! Legends Honda rocks! We had an exceptional experience with them on 11/28/2017. Our first interaction with them started when my husband called their main office to learn more about current financing deals. My husband spoke with Adam Hougland who was very helpful and professional. Adam happily offered to have my husband come in to see him and that they could walk through the details further, if needed. After calling several other dealerships in the area, we decided to make the drive up to Legends. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Jr. Carrillo. He was an extremely no pressure sales person that took his time to expertly explain the features, the safety options, and more while we were both looking at the CR-V s and when we test drove one with him. At this point, we decided that we would proceed with the purchase. Jr and Jeff Creach worked with us to get the paperwork completed. Both were very helpful in answering our questions and making us feel comfortable in the process of acquiring our new CR-V. As you can imagine, we were expecting several sales tactics and runarounds. We never encountered any of these while working through the purchase at Legends. Before we left the dealership, Jordon Roscoe helped us with a training session on how to use many of the features of the car and how to customize it to our preferences. Jordan was great to work with and was very happy to help get us up and running. He also shared some pro tips about the infotainment console and hidden features on the key fobs. Everyone was very friendly and we could tell that this dealership truly cares about their customers. This was the best car buying experience that we have ever had! I purchased a new car here it was 0% APR but in the invoiced they are charging interest. When you sign your documents be sure you read the documents and also be aware that the financial department will try to sale you extra services such as extender warranty, oil changes etc half of this services are unnecessary.
I do not understand why they do not email the documents in advance with all the additional packages to allow consumers to read this with time to allow us to make better decisions.

LEGENDS HONDA is a great addition to the Kansas City, KS area. It's nice to be able to shop for a quality new or used car right in my neighborhood and not have to drive 20 to 30 minutes another community. It made me feel good knowing that I spent money in my own community.

My salesperson Mike Lesher was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. I can understand why he has a gold star award for sales and customer service. He didn't make me feel pressured, he was very relaxed and confident in his product. I had recently purchased a Civic but had regrets about not spending the extra money on the new restyled Accord. Mike got a great deal on my Civic and trade for the 2016 Accord.

Legends Honda is simply THE BEST! This the first time that I've ever gone into a car lot where I didn't experience any judgement. My credit is not perfect, ok let's be real, it's not the best, not even close! But hey, life happens. They didn't tell me what I could have, they asked me what I wanted and what I could afford(within reason). And they got the deal done... May I add that I had been at another carlot Monday-Friday of that same week and they gave me the blues. So on Saturday I went back to that carlot, picked up my paperwork and took it straight to Legends Honda. I was out of there within 2-3 hours with a BRAND NEW HONDA CRV with 3 miles on it! MY FIRST BRAND NEW CAR! LOOK AT GOD! Yep I said it... LOOK AT GOD! Thank you Jon Reynolds & Joshua Badder for making my life a whole lot easier. Thank you for taking the time and listening with no judgement and working hard to get my deal done! I am forever grateful and I am referring everybody there. If you own your own business and other car lots are giving you the run around, if your credit is high, low, mediocre or down right scarey, if you want to go to a dealership where they will give you a chance and GET THE JOB DONE... GO TO LEGENDS HONDA! And they have awesome snacks too.. free water and pop(soda).... And those young men are so respectful. Not impressed with the service department at this place. I had to wait on the service writer while he went back and forth between me and his manager in the other room. I didn't feel that well taken care of. I probably won't be going back to this place.

Today I took my wife's Honda Odyssey for service at Legends Honda - for the first time. What a great experience!! The service representative, Hank Miller, was highly professional and helpful, and very easy to speak with. While I waited, I spoke with a sales representative, Paul Meeks, who was equally professional and communicative, and exerted no pressure whatsoever as we discussed a car for my daughter. This is one awesome dealership and, although they recently moved from Independence, MO, to our area, I hope that they continue this level of customer service. Frankly, this is the one time in my life (67 years) that I actually enjoyed (rather than tolerated) a trip to a car dealer. That, and the fact that they now offer a service center within relatively easy driving distance of our home, ensures that I will return for both service and sales if they maintain these standards.

My 2015 honda accord that had basically right at 40,000 miles had a recall on a charging sensor.. the car kept randomly not starting like that battery was dead and had to jump start it so I took it in. They replaced the sensor and said it had damaged the battery and it wont hold a charge. BUT they would not warranty the battery that the recalled and damaged sensor caused to fail. This is very bad customer service and really makes me rethink hondas warranty and workmanship!

My car buying experience was terrific from beginning to end thanks to Chase, our sales associate. He was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and fun to do business with! Chase and my husband worked together by phone throughout this transaction as we live 240 miles away in Nebraska. It only took a brief period of time before we knew that the car that Chase had found for me was perfect and we drove down to pick it up. The used car manager gave me a more than fair price for my trade-in. (Check it out...it's a GREAT used car!) It's only been two days, but I have already spread the word to my family, friends, and colleagues what a great place Legends is to purchase a car!

My experience started off great, but ended terribly after being accused 2 months later of not paying my down payment that I paid in cash even though I was given the keys to the vehicle and let drive off the lot. From the store management all the way up to the owner, the management is terrible. Needless to say, I will not be back even for as little as a car wash.

My wife and I just bought a used Volvo from Edward at Legends Honda. It was a fantastic experience. They kept apologizing for how long it was taking, but at the same time their courtesy made it not seem like it was taking so long. It's only a few days after buying the car, so we'll see how the car is as we drive it. But as for the car buying experience, this was a great one.
