Made the mistake of engaging this dealer from across state lines trying to work a trade deal on a F250. I was working with 4 dealers at the time and they come in 7k to 8k less on their trade offer than any other dealer. When I questioned it and asked them to do a simple search on other similar trucks in the market they just pointed out the kelly bluebook. They could not see past kelly bluebook to see what the actual market for diesel HD trucks are these days. Anyway traded with another dealer that understood what today's market is actually like for HD diesel trucks. Probably worked out better in the end. I got the truck I wanted from the other dealer, newer model with more options for a FAR better deal.

My time at the dealership started off great, but a simple question made our salesperson, Shannon, become hyperaggressive despite my wife and I being upfront about not making a decision that day.
She had no issues lying to my face and told me that two people with good credit and a six-figure income could expect an interest rate as high as 20% for financing.
Shannon appraised our vehicle despite not even seeing the car, and got the number put into their system without telling us. She and the sales manager were attempting to have us purchase the vehicle we had looked at without even having the trade-in with us.
Fantastic Experience from start to finish. Just purchased a new 2019 RAM 1500 Ltd. Awesome truck and equally awesome dealership experience. I've been an F-150 guy for over 20 years, but decided to test the new RAM., and I'm so glad I did. I just love my new truck. Of course I had a lot of questions coming from Ford. My sales rep, Henry Steedley and the sales manager, Chris Allan, worked with me throughout the purchase. They were amazing. I felt they were there to show and demonstrate the product and answer my questions, but there was never any pressure to make the purchase. Truly a pleasant experience. LM CDJR gave me a great price on the new truck and excellent value on my trade-in. I've purchased a lot of vehicles over the years, but this was by far the best experience.
If you are in the market for a new truck I highly recommend that you test drive the new RAM and see Henry, Chris or any of the LMCDJR dealership staff. You'll be glad you did.
Scheduled an appointment to drop my jeep off for some recall part replacements a week out to provide time for parts to be delivered. Once I dropped it off I was told it should be ready that day, and if not for sure the next day, a Friday. I called at 11, 3, 4, and 5 to ask for an update, only to be told the parts aren't there and put on hold. Finally around 5:30 I get on the phone with someone that tells me the parts ARE there and they've just been busy - WHICH IS FINE. Why wasn't I told it would be late? and why can't I get anyone on the phone all day to tell me it would be late? I'll never buy from them or pay them for work as long as I can avoid it, recommend you do the same.
Edit: I adjusted my rating due to the continued outreach I received after this incident. I wrote that in anger after a day of being ignored, but they did good work.

I had a wonderful experience today with this service department. They were able to work me in quickly when my suv s automatic lift-gate stopped working and it was not cranking right away. At first they feared they weren t going to be able to get the correct part- but they called around and found it locally! They got my car fixed the same day for a VERY reasonable price. They even washed it! I would definitely recommend this service department- I ll be back!

I've been calling dodge since before thanksgiving about my car the first time I called I got attitude from service and today I'm calling about my car trying to speak to a service advisor and they are answering and hanging up the phone and they been doing this since 12:00!!
2nd time buying from this establishment the staff is great. Sales professional Nicole and, Aretha is the ones to go to they are straight forward and, no BS. From the help of Aretha few years back when my credit was not so great. I needed a dependable vehicle.
I feel like she did everything she could and, got me a great deal. She could of moved on with the next person but, she sticked with me and, found me vehicle that worked for me with no crazy car note and, that I was happy with and, have as my daily driver.
Now its 2018 and my credit has much improved. I'm back for a another vehicle this time Nicole helped me. Shes was great she also worked hard to get me the best possible deal no BS stright forward told me what would work for my budget and, I came out with a vehicle that would services me for a long time. I came out of there happy with my purchase. Both times I have had great experience.
The service department is garbage. They will sell you the wrong oil change package then leave you high and dry when other dealers won t accept it. I was moved out of the area by the military and the local dealers have tried to help get my money back. Landers claimed they would refund me but no one has called me back or sent payment in weeks. It s a shame that a Ram dealer would treat customers like this. Go somewhere else for your service needs.

After another dealership gave me the run around, I decided to try Landers McLarty, within one week of my visit, they had my part in and taken care of. Allan Buchanan the ONLY tech that I will allow to work on my car other than an oil change. His knowledge of expertise is outstanding and he is always willing to answer any questions I may have. I don't know what he is getting paid, but as far as I'm concerned it isn't enough! He has great communication skills and knows his stuff. New review due to new management or something. Whoever their new service manager is a liar. "Customer states do not turn rotors" written on my ticket. I just replied to their complaint that they were running out of time today, that if they didn't need to turn them, not to worry about it, just don't waste the pads that I had already bought and I'll do everything later. I certainly didn't say not to turn them for the 250 DOLLAR brake pad job I ended up paying for. Thanks for the jerky stops.
Same day my wife goes in for something, but I had brought new wheels for them to mount due to them snapping lug nut studs last visit. They complain about the lack of time and say they'll switch over the TPMS sensors another day. No big deal until today they tell her that they did plenty free for her last time.
All in all we paid about 700 dollars that day for two brake pad jobs (we had already bought the pads) and some lies. Never will they receive another dime from me.

I bought a commercial vehicle from here in September, I was promised that it had a new tune-up, 50% on the tires, new turbo,nothing mechanically wrong with it and new brakes. I barely made it back home to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The 2nd day, I had to spend $1500.00 to put new tires on it and now having to spend $2500.00 on brakes, seals, gas peddle censor and a air block.
With all that being said, I AM VERY UNSATURATED WITH THIS PLACE! And I will never return to do business with them! I am on my 3rd temporary tag because they have failed to send the title to the State of Tennessee so that I can get my permanent tag.
Made appointment for 9 am to have alignment and tire balance done 1:30 PM still sitting here the last I heard when I went to ask about it was 12 and they have not even started on it what was the point of making a appointment. Bad service

I went in looking for a used Dodge truck. I was treated extremely good. Every one was over the top nice. Julie in the used car and truck department is really cool. She knows her stuff. I will be going back. You got to admit, the Dodge Engines can not be beat. I put over 200,000 hard working miles on a Dodge Ram 1500 and the only thing I ever had to do was change water pump, and a couple coils. I pulled a horse trailer a lot of miles. I love it. It is still on the road.

I stopped to look at a Charger up close and was greeted by the New Car Sales Manager, Ray Horne. Ray talked to me, not at me, about what I wanted. After spending the time to kick the tires I went home. I called back the next day and told my new friend Ray what features I wanted in a Charger. Over the course of the next week we exchanged phone calls but I was never asked to settle for more or less than the features I wanted in a car. The car with what I wanted came in and Ray called me, I drove it and purchased it the next day no pressure at all. Everyone was friendly and I got a fair price for my trade. So far I couldn't be happier, I thought. Then I met Finance Manager Brent Drake. I had been prepared to buy so I had secured financing from 2 outside sources, both with really good rates. I came prepared, because in past experience with the "Finance Manager" at other dealerships I was always beat to death to use their sources. I told Brent I was set and ready to wrap it up. He complied and I started looking over the documents that would need to be signed to complete the transaction. It had been so easy I was forced ask about rate options. Brent ultimately got me a much better financing deal and meticulously covered my service contract options, I never felt the least amount of pressure and my buying experience was the best ever. I thank both of these individuals for their commitment to professionalism.

The lack of communication is very poor!!! Yesterday I dropped my car off at 8 am and my appointment wasn't until 11. My vehicle only needed a minor repair. I never received a call or update on my vehicle. So I called to check on the status. The first time I called my service guy was with another customer and that's understandable. The second time I called he told me he would call me RIGHT back because my paperwork was on his desk (still not a problem) but I never got that call back I waited about 40min and i called back again. When I called back a lady answer the phone and told me Landers was closed for the day. At this point I'm totally upset not only did I have to be at work at 5am I also had to be at my second job and the repair that I needed didn't make the car undrivable. Any how she then called a manager to tell him my concerns. He later called me back and told me that he would take care of me in the am and which he did call. On that call I was assured that I would get a call right back from my service guy with a discounted total for the repairs. (Two hours later still no call) now I'm at the point where I don't want them to fix anything for me!! I've had to walk and catch buses to get to work and I wasn't about to do this another day. So I called my service guy I asked him to get my vehicle pulled up because I would never be back!! Then he tries and explain and apologize. (Nooooooo I have nothing else to talk about ) (I'm sure he had no problem getting to work that morning) On my lunch break I caught the bus and walked the rest of the way to the dealership and of course my car was still in the back. This was my final breaking point!! If i was told that they where going to keep my car I would've at least had the option to find other means of transportation but I wasn't gave that option this is not the first second or third time my car has been kept there without even letting me know that they didn't have the parts or couldn't get around to fixing it.. I remember one time they had it for two weeks just sitting there untouched because they was behind not caring if I had a way to work or a way to feed my kids I had to get around the best way I could. I'm so upset because this is suppose to be a dealership. I have gotten better customer service with a back yard mechanic!! A few months ago I paid for the two for one oil change special I will never come back to your location so please bless someone else with the oil change I have left on that account!! This place lacks communication, and consideration things that only take two seconds of someones day to do. I'll rather drive 40 min away then continue to be left with my back against the wall because of the lack of communication.
P.s if you do decide to leave your car at Landers dodge make sure you call and check on it because they won't call you!!!

Complete rip-off! Labor rate is $140 / hr because they have a technician and apprentice working on each service order. No one gets to charge that rate, then hide ridiculous fees into the invoice for POL disposal, then take 45 mins longer than you were told it would take for those services, then tell you that new rotors/pads are needed when they aren t, and then act like they re doing you a favor.
Will *never* come back to this dealership for service or sales in the future!

Just purchased a new Dodge Journey. The vehicle is exactly the type and color I was looking for. The staff was very friendly, especially Henry Steedley. He guided me through the process and I now am the proud owner of my 6th MOPAR since 1984. The selection is great, and the web and the dealership helped me make my choice. I am editing my review from earlier. Nobody will repair my 2012JEEP JK other than DEREK SMITH and his team at Landers McLarty in Huntsville.
He was instrumental in ervicing my vehicle that a "local" shop in Cullman misdiagnosed and falsely repaired.
He got to the root cause and rebuilt my transmission. He stayed in constant contact with me after the first rebuild to ensure the Jeep was repaired and driving correctly. EVEN ON HIS OFF TIME!! Who does that!! ONLY SOMEONE WHO CARES!! When something acted up a SECND TIME, they rebuilt the transmission a second time at no charge the me with. no money out of pocket with their warranty!!! Not even any labor!!! I will recommend them to ANYONE!!

Last Saturday I purchased a used 2014 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership. This was a 5 star experience as I test drove the vehicle, negotiated a price and signed all of the paper work. When I walked out to take possession of the vehicle they handed me the key. This is where the rating went from 5 stars to 1 star. They only had 1 key to the vehicle, but not to worry I could get another key from the parts department. Today I went to get that second key and was charged $213.65. I was shocked! The Key-Blank with transmitter cost $143.65 , labor to program the key was $49.95 and they charged me another $7.12 Environmental Fee. I guess all those bits flying around while they were programming the key are bad for the environment. So I learned a very expensive lesson today. -- Don't assume when you buy a vehicle from this dealership that it comes with two keys. I've bought many used cars and this is the first time I've had an experience like this. Buyer beware when dealing with Landers McLarty!
Hands down the worst service dept. I've been bent over the barrel twice on two separate occasions. I will now be driving the extra 30 miles to Decatur for any and all work needed on my Jeep.

Chris, and Henry are superstars. These guys are great. They don't make a bunch of BS promises, they don't push you like many others do. They are HONEST and professional. I have looked at new trucks for over 6 months and dealt with over a dozen dealerships in that time. These guys just quietly got it done. No hype, no sales talk, no BS, just here, here's the deal you were looking for, at the payment you were looking for, with the down you were looking for, with half the interest rate you were looking for on the perfect truck.
If you go anywhere else to buy your new vehicle, you're doing yourself a disservice.
Terrible service. 1st trip for service on 07 Sprinter van to get new key programmed and 2 recalls fixed. Booked appointment. Arrived early. Took 3 hours to program the key. Did not verify they had recall parts before they booked my appointment. 2nd trip for recalls. I took the van in last Monday about noon due to the possibility of snow on Tuesday (when my 1 day appointment was scheduled). Just today (a week later) got my van back. This was supposed to have taken only 1 day. And when I picked it up, the dash and speaker covers were laying in the floor of my vehicle. Never again!
Will absolutely never go here again. They refuse to fix a huge dent they made in my vehicle. Matt Hudson pretty much implied that we were lying about the dent in my vehicle that THEY made without taking the time to even check any camera footage. They have the worst attitudes I have ever experienced in customer service. They will never have my families business again and I highly DO NOT recommend this dealership. They are inconsiderate, rude, and unprofessional. My wait time was over 4 hours when I was told this was a simple fix and I could wait on my vehicle to be done because it would only take an hour. This whole experience was absolutely unacceptable.

Lander's McLarty sent out flyers advertising cars and a scratch off contest to win prizes and money if you made a match. I won a "60 television. It says if you win call this number and enter an extension. Needless to say I called the number on the flyer and the recording states that you must come to Spenser Square on Madison Blvd to claim your prize. When I arrived I was expecting my prize . Then the salesman tells me that it didn't matter that I matched all the tokens that I won the tv. What matters is the code behind the ticket . I didn't know anything about a code. The salesman pulled my ticket matched a code for a smart watch. The cord is fried and it won't work. False Advertising .........

This entire dealership is a joke. Over the last 20 years I have tried to trade with these people. I get employee discount so trades are real money. Always got more for my trade in surrounding cities. Have also had terrible service dept experiences as well over the years. That being said, I have a recall on the 2 Cummins trucks I own. Been on a waiting list since August to get the recalls done at other facilities. Got a call Monday from corporate as to why I haven t had them done yet. Long story short they talked me in to using Landers McClarty. Took 1 truck up there yesterday at 7am. They told me it should be ready by 10 or 11. I said great! When you call I will pick this one up and bring my other one to do it as to which I had an appointment for it too. Never got a call yesterday. Called this morning to check on it and the girl asked who my service guy was. Don t have a clue was my response. She asked; Who did you give the keys to? What kind of question is that? You can t tell me the status of my vehicle by my name? So, I hung up and drove up there. The service man asked me the same question; who is your service guy? Just so happened he walked by. Only to say my truck was ready YESTERDAY and that he had called me! WRONG ANSWER. Then he admitted that he had texted me. Well I didn t get the so called text message. Had to drive back home to get my son and go back and pick truck up. Needless to say I didn t leave them my other truck and the will not be doing the recall on my Grand Cherokee either. I will never set foot on that place again. Guess now I know why all service departments are backed up but they are not. Make the short drive to Athens or Decatur. Hell I will drive to Cullman before this place gets any business from me! Rant over! Thanks for reading.

As soon as we got out of the car, Mr. Bellmon greated us at the door and asked if he could be of service. We asked him if he had a brochure on the 2014 Dodge Durango. He got it immediately for us. He asked us for our particular interest, like the color, interior, etc. On telling him what we were looking for, he explained that they had one on the premises and would we be interested in looking at it and possibly driving it. We drove it and we purchased it. We have bought several cars here in Huntsville, AL, at various dealerships and feel that Mr. Bellmon was the most professional in his mannerisms and knowledge. Mr. Bellmon was very thorough in his detailed knowledge and explanation of the vehicle. We would highly recommend the Dealership and Mr. Bellmon.
Another reason that we would recommend this Dealership is: A few months ago we had to take our Dodge RAM in for Service Work and spoke with Mr. Hartman about it and explained that we had not purchased the vehicle there. Mr. Hartman said that was not an issue and the work was performed in a timely manner and to our satisfaction.
2015 Used them they were awesome great job great service. Since then it has rapidly declined to the point where I am on hold for them right now and no-one seems to be home. Had $1400 worth of work done and few weeks later heard a noise. Also had a deal for 2 Oil Changes $105 so was due so went ahead with Oil Change. They said it would be $600 due to muffler being lose and not being able to weld it back on. Went head with oil change but took to Meinke for muffler. Noticed a huge oil smell when drove car from Dodge to Meinke for muffler but sometimes you get spillage with oil change. Meinke tried really hard to find anything wrong with the muffler and found nothing. What they did find however was one of the worst oil change jobs they had ever seen. They didn't put cap back on properly so oil was spilling everywhere. Had to pay $75 for another oil change. Still waiting on the $105 refund that Dodge said they would give.
We shook hands and made a deal. Whenever it came to financing, they changed the numbers that we agreed on. We confronted them, and all they could do was back peddle. They are sneaky and dishonest. We will not be doing and we will not try to do business with them again.
I just recently took my dodge ram 3500 truck too landers mclartys dodge jeep and wrangler for an oil change and fuel filters and derrick the service advisor did me an awesome job, Thumbs up keep up the good work.

Just wanted to follow up on our truck buying experience.We were called back to resign contract papers since Don had the wrong date on them.(He was the one who ruiend our new truck buying experience which I wrote a bad review on that disappeared).Coming back into the dealership we had a lot of cold shoulders from Hanna,the receptionist when you walk in and even Willie dissapered and didn't return our calls.Once you buy a new vehicle there they move on to the next person.Guess I let my guard down and forgot a dealership is just a dealership.
Outstanding experience from an outstanding team. I want to specifically recognize my Holly, Henry and Chris who took care of me, answered all my questions, and ensured that I was taken care of through the entire process. Daniel ensured my sales and finance paperwork was correct and took the time to clearly explain trading in a vehicle registered in Tennessee. A minor issues was found after I took delivery and Ron the Service Manager ensure I was in and out with a loaner vehicle to fix the small issue that we had all missed on delivery.

They treated us great, didn t try to push unnecessary things on us, and had us laughing the entire process in what could have been very boring/stressful. We bought a new Jeep Grand Cherokee and they had a great selection of choices and we were able to get one with all the features we wanted. Probably the best experience we ve had buying a car!

It was my first time to go to a dealership and test drive a vehicle. (I had purchased exclusively from individuals, so I was a little apprehensive, expecting "high pressure used car dealer" cliche tactics.) I made an appointment with Julie Gallow to test drive 2 pre-owned Chrysler T&C vans. Julie was engaging, friendly, professional and made the experience far less intimidating than I would have imagined it could be. She was well prepared, had all the information I needed for both vehicles. As a result, I bought the vehicle for which I'd been searching: a 2015 Chrysler T&C Platinum van! Don Alexandria explained the warranty possibilities and I wound up purchasing one for my pre-owned van. Gave me peace of mind and, essentially, a new car (at far less than new price!) Enjoyed visiting with Don and left feeling I'd met a friend The van is amazing and the follow up from Julie since my purchase has been amazing, too. Well worth the drive from Mentone to Huntsville!

I bought my Jeep Cherokee from Willie White 14 years ago and the service was very good. Today when I walked into the dealership, I asked if Willie still worked there. He did and I purchased a new Cherokee from him because if you give someone good service, it will come back to you eventually. It was a steep markdown because it's a 2018 in December. No haggle and there was a $500 extra off for being military. Now doesn't that just dunk your hat in the creek! Lander Mclarty needs to be a first stop.

Had both my RAM 3500 and RAM 5500 (both completed 19 Dec) commercial vehicles serviced during December 2018. Our Service Advisor, "Alexa Aspinall" is absolutely one of the best we have experienced at any Dodge dealer. He is very professional, courteous, and helpful - he definitely understands the tight schedules with commercial trucks. He follows up and updates us via phone calls also. Additionally, he greatly assisted us in July with the replacement of a BCM on our 3500. I ve gotten nothing but great service from this dealership. My husband travels a lot for work. So it s very important to know that when I have my vehicle looked at I will never be sold something that s not needed. The employees here treat me like family. Which is a rare thing to find these days!
Went in to just look at some vehicles. Left with a new jeep. Everyone was super nice. No one tried to sell me something I didn't want or could afford. Even gave me a ride back to the dealership so I didn't have to call a cab.
