The concerns that you brought to my attention are valid. Music is occasionally played in classes that contain lyrics which could be deemed as inappropriate . Song choices are primarily determined by the beat and energy of the music so I could see how some lyrics, especially when not easily or clearly comprehensible in a song, could be overlooked. I appreciate you bringing to my attention that you have been offended as this has not been my intention nor the intention of anyone involved.

I want to let you know that we are in the process of creating a policy around music selection that prohibits racist and derogatory language while continuing to support freedom of speech. I am personally making sure this happens as quickly as possible. Our current policy is based on the use of proper judgement, but the new policy will ensure that music of the type you have mentioned will not be played.

Not a bad place for spin if you comfortable hearing racist, sexist, and derogatory language. T

heir response when questioned is to laugh and joke. The manager claims they can't control what their instructors play and even went as far to say - "We aren't racist. We have black employees."

Shouldn't we be able to enjoy our workout without having to hear the N word or about killing someone every five seconds?

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this place literally gives me life! Covid-19 has been hard on all of us and has taken away a lot of our everyday activities. When Sparkcycle announced they were moving outdoors I finally felt like I could get back to a new normal. These classes help build my self-esteem, maintain stress, and give me a reason to do literally anything. It's fun to be there and be outdoors where passerby's dance on the sidewalk and celebrate life with us!

Sparkcycle is literally everything to me. I can't even begin to explain what I get out of every class. I get an intense work out, motivation, and a ton of self-love. I used to be in really amazing shape, and I lost myself. Sparkcycle has helped me find myself again. I lost 15 pounds going once a week, now I'm going 3-4 times and I can't wait to see the outcome. The instructors are really all fantastic! The studio is always clean and smells great! I am sensitive to noise, they have earplugs for me to use! Amazing studio and I can't wait to grow more there in my fitness journey. Hands down best total body work out!

Best way to sweat in SD!! Staff, instructors, overall experience all top notch!

I'm new to Spark Cycle and love it so far. It's great that they are able to operate outdoors, there is ample space and hygienic measures taken to make sure that everyone is social distancing. I hope they keep the classes outside, they're great!

I have been going to Spark for over 3 years. This is my home away from home. All the employees are so friendly and helpful. The studios are clean, the classes are full of energy, and the bikes are great.

I am so incredibly grateful for the team of coaches and employees at Sparkcycle for not only staying open during these tough times, but continuing to provide fun, physically stimulating, and musically powerful classes. I m sure many members would agree with me in saying that Sparkcycle has provided a necessary fitness therapy and having the classes outside has added such an awesome dynamic that I m hoping will continue even when we are allowed back inside the studio. Can t wait for my next class!

SPARKCYCLE is my favorite spin studio! I love the new outdoor space so I can continue to spin in these hard times. The instructors are the best, always such a great workout!

OMG, Spark i hands down my favorite! The outdoor classes are even more fun than I anticipated. The energy is high and I leave feeling amazing! All teachers are amazing but I must say, Sean is my favorite! Cheers!

Spark is the best!!!! Such a phenomenal class and atmosphere. Being able to remain active in a class setting during covid has been amazing physically and mentally!! Spark outside hopefully gets to stay!!

SparkCycle is the best!! It is so much fun and I feel totally energized afterwards. Fantastic instructors (love Stephanie C!), great music and beautiful facility! And I love that they do charity rides and give back to the community!

I can't get a better and more fun workout than at Sparkcycle!!! The front desk people and instructors are terrific and so helpful. I love the fresh and airy feel, the fancy bathrooms and the complimentary shoes. Parking is never an issue with a lot just steps away.

SparkCycle is one of my favorite things about San Diego!! The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the instructors are really great at what they do! Especially during the pandemic, their outdoor classes have been a source of joy and happiness for me. I have so much fun and still manage to burn at least 400 calories every class!!

I love Sparkcycle in La Jolla & I'm so glad they have opened a second location! There's nothing like the quality & fun that comes with a Spark class; high energy, motivation, & a serious calorie burn.
Their facilities are amazing, they think of every detail. Hair ties & ear plugs at the front door & shampoos, lotions, Q-tips, deodorants, mouthwash in the showers

Loving the outdoor rides at Liberty Station! Such a fun and safe way to get an awesome workout in. The instructors at Spark are challenging and inspirational and have great playlists! One of my favorite workouts!!

Such an amazing class outside, great energy I felt safe and would love to continue riding. Spark adds so much to the liberty station community and I always go get lunch or a coffee after! It really brings a great group of people to the environment. Highly recommended!

I have been apart of the Spark Fam for almost 3 years now and this amazing studio/cycling workout has changed my life - the energy of the instructors, staff and overall community at Spark is so rich and positive - the team is really great with communicating schedule changes and weekly updates/news as well as always being flexible and accommodating to their riders. I am a loyal Spark followers and would recommend this studio to anyone m with a promise that you will feel welcomed and come out of your experience with, at the VERY least, a stellar cycling experience.

Sparkcycle is an incredible cycling studio! Great instructors that keep the energy going, are clear in their directions and give you a great workout. Recently they have started doing outdoor rides. All bikes spaced out more that 6 feet apart and very safe. Outdoor rides have been such a relief and gives me something to look forward to.

I love Spark cycle and I am so happy to ride outdoors. COVID has influenced so much about life and this is a great way to stay healthy and fit. The staff does a great job keeping us safe, sanitized and distanced. I love the music, the tent, the positive energy and happiness this amazing opportunity gives myself and the community. LOVE Sparkcycle Liberty Station! I have always enjoyed the indoor classes, but the outdoor sessions have been such a wonderful workout to look forward to! The team at Spark is beyond helpful and accommodating and the classes are A++. Highly recommend!!

I took my very first spin class ever at Sparkcycle more than 2 years ago and now I am absolutely hooked! During this pandemic, they've done an amazing job continuing to cater to their community through on demand and live virtual rides and recently in-person outdoor rides. The outdoor rides have been AMAZING. The Spark team has successfully brought the energy of riding together with other people in a very carefully thought out pandemic-safe outdoor setting. Bikes are 6 ft apart, masks are required while not on a bike, and all the safety precautions are accounted for. Nothing is better than feeling the energy of people 6 ft around you as you ride to the beat of the music all while enjoying a nice cool breeze from being outside!

Amazing staff, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I am usually the one who is off beat and completely messing up the movements but I am always made to feel that just showing up Is the important thing. I love being able to spin outside.

Definitely my best part of the day, starting up with a Spin Class. Thank You Sparkcycle for keeping it up and keeping us going!!!

I absolutely LOVE riding outdoors with SPARKCYCLE! It has changed my outlook on working out during the pandemic and I actually feel a part of something doing what I love again. I think I like classes outside even better than in the studio!!! They do an amazing job cleaning everything and making sure everyone feels safe when working out. They distance all of the bikes and keep everything very clean. 10/10 hope they continue.

It was so great to get back on the bike for Sean's class! I'm grateful classes are able to continue during the pandemic by taking place outside. Spark keeps me happy and sane!

Amazing cycling, instructors are legit... I almost die every time but it's well worth it.

Bathroom facilities are next level too.

Spark is spectacular! An amazing experience from the moment I walk in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The studio is impeccably clean and the bathrooms and showers remind me of a high end spa. The class, the reason I go, is a 45 minute mind blowing total body workout. Yes, who knew a 'spin class' could be a total body workout? And fun? I didn't but soon found myself lost in the music that kept my feet spinning and body moving on pace with the star quality instructors. When class is over and I've been handed a cold damp towel while still on the bike I don't know if I'm sweating or smiling more. I can't say enough great things about Spark. The studio, the people who work and work out there, the instructors who inspire in class and are always around and approachable after to even the owner who still leads classes and I've seen helping new riders with their bike set up, everything is top notch. Since starting to 'spin' I've tried most every spin studio in San Diego and a few in LA and SF. Spark, at either location, sets the pace that everyone else seems to be trying to follow. Thank you and keep up the great work Spark Cycle :)

I love SPARKCYCLE! I love it even more now that it is outside. The tent is awesome and the random dancing pedestrians is fantastic. I have been a member for almost two years and I can t get enough of it. Thanks for bringing your magic outside, it is truly a life saver.

Can I give Spark 100 stars? I ve been enjoying rides here basically since they opened. I ve loved every single ride and am SO HAPPY they are doing outdoor rides! They re so fun and you can tell how excited everyone is to be back riding with each other. Not to mention the breeze that rolls through the tent? Heaven. Thank you for everything that you do, Steph, Katie, and the rest of the lovely Spark ladies & gents! Favorite workout studio I ve ever been to by far.

I ve been going to Sparkcycle for over two years and it is my sanctuary! The instructors are out of this world (Kellie is my favorite!) and management is superb. I haven t been to ANY other class/studio that offers a cool eucalyptus towel after class. This is the only studio I ve religiously attended a 6am class, that s saying a lot give it a try, maybe a few to get the hang of it, and you ll be hooked!!

What an experience! SparkCycle really has something special. The front desk staff were very kind, and helpful. Hannaniah provided a tour of the facility, answered my 100 questions about my first ever spin class, and was beyond patient helping me get ready for class on my bike. The class was fantastic! At times I had trouble keeping up with some of the choreography, but that didn t stop me from trying, and having a blast in the process! The energy in the room was incredible, it almost felt as if me and the other riders were part of a team, and it was very encouraging.
Like I said, SparkCycle has something really special, I highly recommend paying a visit! 6/5

I love the outdoor Sparkcycle setup! It feels safe to ride outside with the fresh air and with the bikes more than 6 apart. The sound system is solid and I appreciate the large tent to help with shade. Please continue these outdoor classes since the Covid pandemic is so unpredictable. It s a slice of normalcy which is essential these days.

Omg this was so much fun! Just did my first class yesterday with Jordan and I don't think I'll be able to ever do a regular spin class again. It was like cycling in a club- I love it!! Great music, fun lighting, high quality machines, clean space, and friendly staff. I also love that they include the shoes with the class. Can't wait to do it again!
