I just bought a Dodge Grand Caravan in December of...

I just bought a Dodge Grand Caravan in December of 2012. I received something in the mail about how people are looking for Pre-owned Caravans and if I traded it in there 3 options to choose from such as: 0% APR for so many months, up to 16,000 for the trade in and so much back on rebates. It was time to take the van in for an oil change anyway, so while I was there I wanted to talk to some about to see how much of a deal I could get. So after Jeremiah took my info and gave it to the finance dept. that's when the negotiations began. It got to the point that I told Jeremiah that I was fine with keeping what I had and I just wanted to see what kind of deal I could get. He told me to hold on and let's give them one more offer and the offer we gave was somewhat agreed with some little tweeks. Mark came from financing and talk to me again we able to agree on a deal. With it only costing me $80 more than what I was paying a month now. My wife loves the Van and that what matters the most. So Jeremiah determination to not give up on me when I was ready to give up, he deserves a 10. Thank you Jeremiah.

These people should be in jail for ROBBERY! First they sell my boyfriend this crappy car assuring him that's it's in great condition and everything has been inspected etc. after not even having it for a good five months and only using it for a 5min work commute each day , it needs to be put in the shop for issues that they should've resolved Prior to selling it. The check engine light turned on and they advised they would need to replace a sensor. He paid for parts and labor to have it resolved. First bad sign was once he came and picked it up he first noticed his back bumper was HANGING OFF! The attendant looked at it and didn't even bother to fix it just walked away he had to speak to a manager about it only to get a nonchalant "yea sometimes the latch hooks onto it" which translated to me as "yea we rip bumpers off all the time". Second bad sign the check engine light comes back on He takes it back for a second time . They "fix" it again and he doesn't even make it home before the light is back on. Third times a charm right! Wrong!!! Now they tell him he'll have to pay more out of pocket cost to fix something they didn't fix in the first place. The entire time he's there he's encountering other customers that have also been screwed by these frauds. One customer had just purchased a car and brought it back because the timing belt was loose and they sent him away saying it was fine today the customer was bringing the car back because it was making a loud noise and the car stopped in the dealership lot he had to literally glide down the hill to the front office. Another customer purchase a 1500 warranty and was having issues with his new car and they advised him that he would have to pay out of pocket cost for issues that 1)he shouldn't have with a new car 2)are covered under warranty!!!! These people are scams, frauds, and not at all good for business !!! Save your time and money avoid this place.

Generally, I truly dislike having to go to a deale...

Generally, I truly dislike having to go to a dealership to purchase a vehicle because it's an all day event and all they want is to make as much money as they can. When I came here on Aug 8, 2018, I had to get a new vehicle because my other one was on its last legs. My Allstate agent(whose husband is Frank Williams) recommended that I go to Lander's Mclarty and said that her husband would treat me right. And he did. He got one of his best salesmen, Robert Sawyer, to work with me. I already knew the vehicle I wanted (a hyper green 2018 Jeep Renegade) and we went for a test drive. So after we got back, we started the process for me to get the vehicle. All in all, from the time I pulled in the lot until we went home, it only took 3- 3 1/2 hours. Everyone involved was so kind. I will definitely recommend this dealership to anyone I know, and will come back again to purchase my next vehicle!

We were told our Jeep that we bought from them new in october was unsafe to drive because of the brakes. Brought the Jeep back here because it's under warranty and was pretty much blown off and told to come back another day. They're real nice when you're buying a car, but not when you come back with a problem with their cars.

I resonantly bought a new 2019 Jeep Cherokee from Landers McLarty Jeep and was very pleased with the experience. My salesman was Jonathan (JT) Talley and is one of the nicest people I have met in the car business. I have been taking care of my ailing Mother while looking at cars and he was more than accommodating of my time. Since I could not do a deal all in one day since I could not be away from home for long they worked with me. It actually took 3 days to get to the point of signing papers. They let me come and drive it 2 times before I was comfortable with the car then they worked with me so I could get in and out of the dealership in the shortest time possible. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and would not hesitate to send anyone to them looking for a car.

I m from Mississippi but I knew someone that had bought a truck from Mr White at this dealership so I thought I would give them a try since I was ready to trade trucks. I left two messages for the salesman and never got a response so I called and spoke with the sales manager who took my info about my trade and assured me that someone would be back in touch, that was five days ago and I still haven t heard anything.. I would definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone, they could have at least returned my call.. I guess Mississippi money is no good in Alabama, so I ll be sure to spread the word to the other 400 drivers that drive for the same company I do!! Thanks Landers Dodge

Financing took a little while because they were CRAZY busy the day we were there. However Tay offered to pay for our lunch for the wait. We drove 3 hours and after the business they gave us we would do it again.

3 problems with a 2 month old vehicle, none of which are resolved after 3 visits to service. On top of that, vehicle was returned with grease smears all over the interior. Things have improved since getting the service manager involved... hopefully that continues and they'll be able to able to get to the bottom of all the problems.

The WORST experience I've had by far. Left my car in the service departments hands to fix my car and after having it for TWO months they said they were incapable of fixing it and were giving it to another shop. When the shop received the car we were notified that there was significant amount of water and MOLD growing in the car because they left the passenger side windows down and failed to notify or take the blame for their actions. It was obvious that they knew because they stuffed fabric freshener sheets under my seats to mask the smell. Not only did it cause mold but it also caused a short in my electric seat because of the significant amount of water. Which again they said they could do nothing about. So we had to fix and pay for that repair even though they were clearly in the wrong. And lastly the significant amount of water damage to the passenger side caused my leather seats to get absolutely soaked and are now ripping and crumbling apart. I am absolutely displeased with the service I received. I spoke to Matt Hudson and they said their was nothing they could do but could give me 4 free oil changes. That does not amount to the damage that was done to my car when I trusted it in their hands. I will NEVER be doing business with them again and am trying to get in touch with corporate about this matter.

Even though we had to wait a while before we actually got to meet and greet, my sales consultant was great with getting me all the information I asked for before I came by. I didn't want to fill like I was wasting time looking for what I wanted to purchase, especially in the heat this summer has brought us thus far. That all being said we test drove and I was given some good quotes that I am able to study and looking forward to my off day and make this deal happen!

This is NOT an issue with Landers McLarty, but with Dodge. I just want anyone considering a Dodge vehicle to be aware. I own a 2014 Dodge Ram. It only has 50,000 miles on it, and the fuel sensor has failed. I understand that these things happen, and am very understanding of the occasional bad part or anomalous circumstance, but... I have done research on the problem and this is a known issue with this vehicle. It is going to cost me $600 to get it repaired. I called Dodge customer service and they simply told me the fuel sensor was not covered under the warranty and they would not be helping me. If this was just a random failure, I would be understanding, and probably wouldn't have even called customer service, but this is a known problem! Up to now I have enjoyed my truck, but when a company won't stand by their product for something that is quite clearly a quality issue, they loose my loyalty. Maybe I can help others avoid purchasing a vehicle from a company that does not stand behind the quality of their product.

UPDATE:
I spoke to Hanah in the service department. (She's awesome, by the way.) I shared my frustrations with Dodge, and she told me she would check with her service manager to see if they had any options. She just contacted me and said they would assist me with the fuel sensor repair. I am still frustrated with Dodge for not standing by their product, and will likely never buy another Dodge product, but Landers McLarty gets a 5-star rating from me for their willingness to provide the highest level of customer support!

I would NEVER buy another vehicle from this dealership. I have bought two brand new vehicles within the past two years and both were lemons. The first one was a Jeep Cherokee with a 4 cylinder engine. Within 12 months the engine and transmission went out. Like a fool I traded it in for a more expensive Ram 1500 with a Turbo diesel engine. Now within 8 months the engine is gone in it. I am told that I owe over 10,000 dollars more on it than what it is worth. It is NOT worth anything to me sitting on their lot not running!!!!! I have received nothing but lies from their service department. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP OR YOU WILL BE SORRY

I had a great experience here! I was a first time buyer and I did not feel overwhelmed or confused. I had the pleasure of working with Tay Johnson. Tay truly is the best at what he does. He worked very hard to get me in the car I desired while staying within my budget. He was so helpful and understanding . I truly felt that he was on my side through the entire transaction. If you re interested in buying an automobile from this establishment, make sure you ask for Tay Johnson, he will take care of you!

Updated. I went to dodge to get my car fixed on feb 26. The supervisor derek informed me of the diagnostic. Of course being a woman i was unsure,but they assured me and it all came together. They were diligent, nice and apologetic and also helpful with my concerns. One of the techs zach was very helpful and alert with my concerns. He answered all of my questions to the best of his knowledge and assured me that everything would be fine and work out. I would recommend anyone take their car there.

This may just be the absolute worst experience I've EVER had with a dealership and trust me this ain't my first rodeo!! I just tried to purchase a vehicle through their "special financing" program and for those of us who've experienced great financial difficulty lately this SEEMED like a wonderful program. When I got there, the person I'd been talking to and making arrangements with for an entire week couldn't even locate my paperwork...after a short, unfriendly greeting prior to that in which I never even received a business card. Then, the "approved" financing that I'd been assured was handled prior to arrival (as I had to hitch a ride FROM OUT OF TOWN......ON MY LUNCH BREAK), still had not been completed as I stood there in disgust. I was told I could just "come back some other time" after I had repeatedly told Dwayne Bush, my representative, about this special ride arrangement I had. I was told this along with being told that "people like me had to just take whatever they could get". Then, I called at 10am the morning of the day on which I'd made my 12noon appt. (yes I absolutely had made an appt folks, yet still nothing was ready) to make sure there was an inventory of vehicles in my budget range and was assured "oh yeah, come on". When I got there, not only were there ZERO vehicles in my budget range, but he hadn't even looked to see if there was anything close to it. What he did show me at almost DOUBLE my budget was a filthy wreck with rock hard french fries in the floorboard. SAVE YOURSELVES THE TIME, GRIEF, HUMILITATION, AND OUTRAGE OF VISITING THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!

Monday late afternoon my car died as I was driving...

Monday late afternoon my car died as I was driving to work. The estimated repair was 1400. I had been wanting a Nissan Rogue and found one online at Landers McClarty- a 2015 that they had recently acquired. While waiting for the tow truck to come get my car, I called and spoke to Rob the used car sales manager. He was very kind and said I could just have my car towed directly there.

When we arrived, Rob assigned us to Pete who was absolutely amazing. They let us drive the car home Monday evening, then come back Tuesday to finish paperwork. They worked hard to give us a fair deal and payments that work for us. I can t say enough about how amazing and caring both Pete and Rob are!

When we drove the car Monday and Tuesday, the AC was blowing really cold! However yesterday morning (less than 24 hours after signing the papers), it stopped working. I immediately called Rob who told me to bring it in first thing this morning, which I did. I am confident that this amazing dealership will take good care of us and fix the problem that was obviously in the works when we bought the car!

Edited to add: Rob called this morning to say it is the compressor and would be $1100. I said that was unacceptable. Right now he s talking with the service department to see what they can arrange. My review will be 5 star or 1 star depending on how this situation is handled. If they had done a thorough pre-sale assessment of the vehicle, they would have known the compressor was going out.
Update...it is now Monday, and I haven t heard a word from Rob. I am still hoping they will take care of this situation, because I would love to leave a 5 star review since the initial buying experience really was good.

Final Update: This morning Matt, the service director called me and apologized profusely for this situation. He explained that they stand behind every car they sell, and told me he would get it fixed for me today. He was true to his word. I couldn't be happier with my car and the way that Matt handled everything!

Serviceman Hayden consistently worked with diligence and perseverance to get my car repaired so I could return to Florida on schedule. He was patient, friendly, professional, and communicative. Kudos to Ron Holby and Frank Williams for upholding the excellence in customer service that is promised and written on the walls of this establishment! It is the personal care, time, and interest that they put into resolutions that makes this the beat dealership in Huntsville. This is why this is the 6th family car purchase I have made at LMCDJ. I scheduled a routine oil change and multiple point inspection using the websites online scheduler. I arrived Monday around 9:40 and my appointment was scheduled for 10. Long story short, I was told a certain individual would be my service advisor and I m still sitting in the waiting area come 11:45 and still haven t spoken to him. The service manager finally comes out and tells me they found a fluid in my transmission pan and would have to replace a gasket but it s covered under warranty so your service advisor should come speak to you soon. I left around 12:30 and still haven t spoken to my service advisor. I go find him and tell him I m leaving so please call me when my vehicle is done. I was told it would be done no later than 3:30. My service advisor calls and says I can pick up my vehicle but it didn t get fixed. I get to the service department and I m waiting in front of my advisor just to pick up my keys and go since I have somewhere to be at 4:20. He ignored me the entire time I was standing there till finally the service manager approaches us to figure out what was going on. The service manager gave me a rental car free of charge and was told my vehicle would be put in the shop first thing Tuesday morning. Well, Tuesday morning rolls around and I still have not heard anything. So around 11 I call to get an update on my car. My service advisor tells me that my vehicle part still had not come in. So I told him you guys said it would be done first thing this morning and you keep the gaskets in shop so why is it not done? He then goes and says oh, I see. Gives us till this evening. I abprutly cut him off and say No, absolutely not. I was told it would be done this morning so i would like to speak to the service manager. He then begs me not to and that we can figure this out and I told him no, just let me talk to the manager. He then tells me well I will have to find him, hold on. Then hangs up the phone call. I call back and talk to him and he argues with me about hanging up the phone. I m so beyond frustrated at this point. I finally talk to the service manager after being on hold close to 10 minutes and get told they haven t had time to check on my car and they would return my call. Needless to say the manager is having to stand there and watch his team work on my car to make sure it is getting done and was told it would not be done till 2:30 this afternoon. It s ridiculous that I m on day two without my vehicle, the manager has to micromanage his staff in order for things to get accomplished and the staff just seems to not care at all who they are inconveniencing. If my car was not under warranty, I would not be back as a customer at all. Just overall dissatisfied with how this situation was handled and it should never get to management about a routine oil change.

I had a problem with the amount I paid for a service on my jeep. I was quoted a lower price then what I paid. After posting this review on Goggle. Matt Hutson the Service Manager called to apologized for the mis-communication. Matt offered me a service credit and credited my debit card to reflect the lower price I was originally quoted. I am totally happy with the way this issue was handled by the service manager. I will continue bringing my vehicle to Landers McLarty Jeep in the future. Thanks Matt for quickly resolving this issue and treating me so fairly.

I brought my 2017 Jeep Cherokee Limited in for 30k mile service. Presented Rep. Robert with a coupon for 15% off. He told me the service would be around $200. When I went back to pick up my vehicle the price on invoice was almost double what he quoted.me. Appatently, he missed calculated the discount amount. He had my phone cell number but never called to tell me this. A standard service for a vehicle with 30k miles is almost $400 with a 15% discount included? Outrageous. Once the warranty is up I will be taking my vehicle somewhere else for service. This place gouges you on price.

As 2014 Durango owner, I have to say that that the employees working at the Huntsville Landers McLarty Dealership need a better understanding of their products. I can never get a clear answer to any questions regarding available options for my Durango. They take your number, promise to call, but never return your call. In the future, this will definitely be a deterrent for me for considering buying another dodge vehicle.

Kevin in the service department made sure that my jeep was promptly and properly repaired (warranty work). Norm was the technician that actually did the work. He showed me the damaged gears inside the rear differential, as well as pointed out an axle leak. I was given a loaner vehicle for the night/day. One of the best service departments that I have ever dealt with.

I went to Landers McLarty DCJ to get my 2015 Grand Jeep Cherokee serviced. It was an early morning, so (while I waited) I took a low-threat walk around the lot....I'm not a fan of vulture-like salesmanship. I had been considering trading in my truck for a second Grand Cherokee, and had found one online that was supposedly on the lot. I couldn't physically locate it though, so I poked my head into the salesroom floor to ask about it. Even though it was 45 minutes before they opened, Joe Ashbury readily introduced me to Josh Craig. I gave Josh the VIN of the vehicle I was curious about, and he located it and postured himself to transport me to the location. I declined, and simply gave him the trade-in amount and terms I was looking for. I provided a contact number. I was pessimistic. I anticipated a call later on to the tune of "Boy do I have a deal for you" only to overshoot my terms by a ridiculous amount. Much to my surprise, I received a call from him that same day with terms that were better than I had requested. He and Joe had worked closely with the local banks and saved me thousands. I came in the next morning and we sealed the deal in less than an hour. Mr. Pinkett in the Business/Finance office was a true professional, and gave me a great deal on GAP insurance that I would have thought was unaffordable. At Landers McLarty, synergy exists, and the employees work as one unit...it isn't a "this is the salesman's job" and "this is the finance personnel's job"...they communicate with each other along the way. It saved me from explaining my wants time and time again. I wish I would have purchased my 2015 Grand Cherokee from them....the experience I had when I procured it from one of the other "leading" Jeep dealerships in Norther Alabama was a far cry from how I was treated at LMDCJ. My only "complaint" is that I wished they could have coughed up the $286 to throw in one of those cargo security covers for the (I asked the guy back in parts how much one would cost....I didn't get his name, but he was really helpful too). It would be the difference between me giving the transaction a "10" versus a "9". That may be worth it to them though. Again...and excellent experience.

The overall buying experience was excellent with no pressure exerted at any time during the process. I would not hesitate to shop at this dealer again. My salesperson, Victor, bent over backwards to find the truck I wanted. He took the time to ensure that I not only got what I wanted but what I needed as well. He also spent the time necessary to explain all the details about the new truck and generally made me feel comfortable with the whole process. I would also mention that the sales manager was also very personable and the finance genbtlemen we dealt with was both personable and professonal.

Shannon Rascoe was a very knowledgeable and courteous sales person along with the whole team. This is my second purchase from the dealership and third Challenger that I have owned. I was actually on my way to Landers McLarty Chevrolet to trade in on a new Camaro but decided to stop by the dealership to see if there were any Hellcat deals available. Ryan was absolutely terrific. Knowledgeable, Professional, and absolutely personable, which at times can be the most important characteristics. From the get-go, Ryan was on board with our vehicle issues and was completely on point with getting it resolved correctly and on-time. It was also the first time I saw a personal cell phone number on a business card which says a whole lot about his customer-centric focus. Not only would I recommend the service department, but would absolutely recommend Ryan as a service provider to anyone that visits this location.

I purchased a new Jeep Cherokee Latitude from Mclarty Dodge Chrysler Jeep, these are the nicest People to work with. They will not try and shaft you.

So funny my salesman name was Shaft lol...we kidded a lot about his name, but they were down to business from the time I walked up looking for a car. I found the love of my life, 2019 Cherokee Jeep Latitude Plus. It was such an easy transaction, me being a woman I can say they treated me with respect and SHAFT didn't try to shaft me at all...

I paid $19.95 to rotate the Tires and Landers McLa...

I paid $19.95 to rotate the Tires and Landers McLarty Service Department did not Rotate them. That s reason the Low tire light was on (after a tire rotate).

On May 15 I left my Jeep Grand Cherokee (Jeep) at the service department over night for recall work, tire rotate and a oil change. When I picked up the Jeep May 16 the Low tire light was on (after a tire rotate). After I parked it in my garage the next day I noticed a oil trail in to the underside of the Jeep. When I looked under the Jeep there was a large pool of oil. The oil filter was not installed correctly. So far Landers McLarty Service Department does not seem to care.
