Massage was just "ok" but what upset me the most is that my "hour" long massage was about 40 minutes. I had an appointment for 11:00 but by the time I filled out paperwork, got to the room and got undressed my massage didnt start till almost 11:20 and ended right at noon on the dot. If they are going to cut you short they should probably not have clocks in the room letting you know the time. Very disappointed. I highly recommend going somewhere else.

Thank you Kimberley's Day Spa and what a morning it was. Anna on the phone was informative and set me up with the Best Massage Therapist Ever!!! Michael, you are one amazing man, my joint replacements even feel better :-) The moment I arrived I was greeting with such kindness, the front dest is amazing. Michael was right on time, introduced himself and asked me some important questions. I appreciate that! OMG-My New Healthy Addiction is his massage. I will be back and often!!! When leaving, the front desk wished me a good day and then I saw this very attractive lady trimming the bushes and asked if she was the owner. She politely introduced herself and was so down to earth and sweet. I liked her immediately and can see why she has such loyal customers. So, those of you that can't say something Nice, Please don't say anything at all. This get away for many of us is such a blessing. Thanks to ALL at Kimberly's, and don't let anyone steel your JOY=Because YOU give so much JOY to others!

I received a gift certificate for Christmas to Kimberly s for a pedicure because I have been really wanting a good massage which I would think would be provided by a day spa with the lowest priced pedicure being $60. I was very disappointed with the pedicure I received. In the description it stated that you will receive a foot and leg massage (which is my favorite part), this did not happen. I received lotion being rubbed on my legs (only legs not feet) for not even 30 seconds each leg. It was not even a firm rub it was just lotion being rubbed on. The lady who did my pedicure was very nice and did a great paint job but unfortunately, I would not recommend this this day spa for pedicures as the description of what I would receive did not match up on what I actually received.

Horribly overpriced for the spa services they offer. I received a gift certificate for an expensive combination massage/spa treatment. I spent most of my time shivering on the table. The masseuse apologized for the wind that whipped through the room via the vents and said there was nothing she could do. Who can relax when you're freezing? Also, it felt very rushed and more like an assembly line than true "day spa". I have not and will not return.

I've been going to this spa for years, on and off. Each time i call i get a lukewarm novice receptionist who seems to not care whether the salon gets my business or not. Not cheerful, not friendly, just an entitled, young and put out attitude. And when one pays upwards of $100 for a mani/pedi, one would expect at least some due respect from the person who represents the face of this business. Such a turn off! Sorry Kimberly's but smug and cheeky doesn't work for me.

Although I've always enjoyed the people actually performing the spa service and the ambiance here BUT.... their customer service and associates at the front desk are extremely rude, dont make you feel welcome at all and treat you terribly....... ive never been made to feel welcome entering this establishment....... on another note.....I once bought 5 gift certificates in the morning one day and realized when I got home that I only needed 4. I called them about 10 minutes after making the purchase to inform them about my mistake and they wouldn't refund my money and were quite rude about it. Terrible terrible business practice and just rude front desk staff.

Kimberly is wonderful, people are friendly and place is luxurious, however the best part is the spectacular massage therapist, Alex! I've been to many, many massage therapists in this area and in other states as well. HE IS THE BEST IN MY OPINION WHO MEETS MY NEEDS! He's also friendly, professional and soft- spoken. He sure knows his stuff!! Although the massages are not cheap, it's worth every penny!!

I received a gift certificate from my husband for my birthday. I had heard and read really horrible things about the services, prices and atmosphere, but how bad could a spa really be? I called to make my appointment and the girl at the desk was very pleasant and scheduled a friend and myself for a hydrotherapy + swedish massage package. On the day of my appointment I called and asked if I could upgrade my package to include a deep tissue massage. She said yes, but it was an up charge of $20. I went to Kimberly's and was extremely surprised that there are no other amenities included in your spa services. Complexions in Latham (where I normally go) has a sauna, steam room, triple headed shower, relaxation lounge, and tea/snack bar. Kimberly's had a coffee carafe which was empty and a cookie-nazi that handed out one cookie to each person and put the rest behind the counter. I chose the seaweed hydrotherapy, which while good, was not worth $55. . The herbal bath at Complexions is MUCH better for $35. My masseuse Jonathan was amazing. Since Kimberly's only has one hydrotherapy bath, my friend and I could not go together and her bath was scheduled after mine so I had some time to kill after my services. I put on clothes and waited for my friend to finish. I was brought to a living room area and left there. There was no coffee, no tea, no lounge chairs. Just a couch and an empty fireplace. I waited for about 20 minutes before going downstairs to a now packed seating area. I finally got a cup of coffee and sorry, Splenda is not available. We went to the desk to pay and my service was $20 more than I had been quoted in the morning. I explained that I called in the morning and was told the girl must have been mistaken, you can't upgrade the package. So I essentially paid full price for both. When I asked for the name of the reception who told me the incorrect price, I was told there is no way to get that information. I complained to a manager with the same response, "perhaps she didn't understand the question". So I asked how can you misinterpret "Can I upgrade this package?" I was then put on hold for 15 minutes before hanging up. I now have $100 left on my gift certificate which I will never use and surprise there are no refunds on gift certificates, even if you are an extremely unhappy customer. For all that are looking for a great spa, I highly recommend Complexions in Latham, or Hair and Body Essentials in Clifton Park.

New to the area and was immediately attracted to the pictures and website. Options and information were very easily laid out with prices. Called to inquire about their special pregnancy services and unfortunately reached the most unenthusiastic, uneducated young lady named Brooke over the phone. Had no clue what products they offered or costs or even cared to find out for me. Never got a chance to experience this place and most likely never will!

I love being able to come with someone else and to have cozy corners where one person can wait and relax during the other person's spa appointments. The cOzy waiting areas with coffee, dried fruit and nuts, and lemon lime water make the experience truly relaxing.

Worst treatment I have received at a spa and won t be returning or recommending! I Booked a facial, pedicure and massage and spent $350 and it was the opposite of a relaxing experience which I was looking for at a spa! First of all The front desk receptionist that answered my phone call to book a treatment was so rude and was giving me an attitude for no reason, even when i said Thank you have good day she replied with ok see you . What kind of customer service is this? Definitely need training! I work in customer service and That would not fly in my office! The massage felt like she was petting me! And talked about her personal problems the whole time! I was there to relax in peace not listen to other people s sorrow. The facial experience was so awful! I booked a hydrotherapy facial that I assumed would be nice and relaxing, I sat in a hot tub and it was SO Loud, I couldn t even think! I asked her if she could turn it off. You are rushed out! I will never be returning. What a waste of money!

I am a returning customer over the years to Kimberley's, I love it here and always have been treated with care. I am a reflexology lover and i also have had various pedicures/manicures and massages done. The services are a bit pricey but i feel that i am worth it! Also, gift certificates are dated so that you must use the certificate by the specified date... or they expire. If you are from out of town, this can be a problem. Otherwise, it is a treat for women and men alike. I would recommend it to anyone who likes or needs some pampering. We all are busy people and need a break sometime.

VERY POOR!!!!! My daughter and her maid of honor went there today for a pre-bridal appointment. My daughter was going to decide how to wear her hair and makeup on the day of her wedding which is about 3 weeks away. I was shocked when she stopped at my house after her appointment. It seriously looked like a 5 year old pinned her hair up. The maid of honor said that the girl who did my daughters hair didnt even curl every section like she was supposed to. There were pieces sticking out all over the place and it just looked totally messy. NOT A PROFESSIONAL JOB AT ALL!!!!! The maid of honor paid $160 for the hair and makeup today. I will tell you right now my daughter was definately not happy with what they did either. My daughter is a hair stylist and she will be doing her hair by herself. She wanted someone else to do it for her so that she didnt have to take the time to do it herself on her wedding day. I told her she should have said something to the girl who did the "up-do" but my daughter said that she didnt want to hurt her feelings. They are lucky that I wasnt there with my daughter because I would not have paid them a penny for what they did!!!! None of us will EVER go back there again. Absolutey horrible!!!!! They definately need to get better trained people to work there!!!! Signed... a very ticked off Mother of the Bride!!!!!

Terrible! We called for appointments for gel nails and we're given appointments and told just to let the manicurist know we wanted gel or shellac. When we arrived we were informed that the manicurists assigned to us didn't have enough time and didn't do shellac. We were directed back to the receptionist desk who didn't care that we couldn't get what we came for. She never even apologized for THEIR MISTAKE! Very disappointed in what used to be a great day spa.

Purchased a gift card for family member. Had to return the gift card as family member would not be in town to use it. When I went to return the un-used gift card the staff would not credit my account or otherwise issue me a refund. When I asked what options I have (as I will not use the services there) I was told, "You can give it to someone else." Unhelpful. I won't be back for any future gift card purchases. Buyer beware.

My wife loves this place. The wait times can be a bit much and appointments require a credit card to hold your spot. The staff seemed friendly and were helpful when stopping in. Pay attention to any promos or deals you may get there as there's usually a clever catch in the promotion. Usually booked a lot of times so plan your trip at least a month in advance.

I have always heard this place has poor customer service and unfriendly staff but I had a gift card so figured I d try it. I upgraded my service and the amazing individual who did my service let the front desk know I was getting a serum. When cashing out I handed them my gift card and was told the price and paid the difference. On my way home I received a call stating I must be confused and assumed the serum was included in the price. What a wonderful way to try to spin the receptionist forgot to ring it out. When I stated I wouldn t tell a client they assumed an item was included instead of saying they never cashed me out I received a huff and an okay. Now my feelings are confirmed as to why I was told to never come here. Although the place is gorgeous and the aesthetician was kind the customer service at the front desk makes this place horrid.

I have been going to Kimberly's for many years, mostly for facials, manicures and pedicures. I have been very satisfied with those services. I have had a few massages there over the years as well, but I now go to a massage therapist elsewhere, primarily because the Kimberly's massages, while nice, are more of a "fluff and buff" instead of the deeper work I need at this age. In reading the other posts, I'm most surprised by the poor comments about the customer service. I genuinely like the customer service --- they are always nice and friendly with me. Occasionally, a new customer service person is being trained and it's a little frustrating, but that can happen in any business.

I agree with another review that it seems awfully suspicious that a number of the "negative" reviews always put in a plug for Complexions. I'm sure Complexions can generate enough business without having to tear down another local competitor. Right?

I lost a gift certificate worth $250 and called to ask if there was any way to track it. The answer was no, but it is hard to believe a business is unaware of how much it has in outstanding gift certificates. I do not mind being told no, but there was zero willingness to try and help even confirm the purchase/existence of the gift certificate or even run the issue by a manager. The customer service and empathy for a customer who is out $250 was nonexistent. Again, being told there was nothing they could do is not the issue, it is the immediate dismissal of my issue that was disappointing.

First off, the place is beautiful. Definitely a relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was friendly, considering it was early on a Saturday.

The manicure was nice. I have only had several in my life so I really cannot compare or rate it to anything. But, I think she did a good job. It was pretty quick and was 30% off. So $22 wasn't bad at all!

Absolutely the worst spa. Front desk is unprofessional, rude and caty. As soon as you enter they just look at you with a cold blank stare. I know someone who used to work there and she told me they treat their employees like slaves. The owner is a miserable and mean women. Their prices may be cheap but you re better off saving your money and going else where like Complexions where you will be treated with respect the minute you walk in the door.

We recently visited for my daughter's birthday and were so excited ..but .. that excitement was quickly turned into disappointment !! .. The 2 women at the desk were not at all friendly or welcoming! Really???. why work there then ?? . . No smiles , no interaction at all ... just plain old stuck up and very condescending ..it carried thru till checkout.. we were so unhappy when we saw that they were still there and we had to deal with them again! ..it really ruined our whole day...It is such a shame for a beautiful place to be ruined by truly ugly personalities at your front desk ... we will unfortunately not be back ...

I ve been coming to this place for a long time for massages and over the years this place has gone way downhill. I had a 1 hour Swedish massage on 16JAN2019, the room I was in was freezing! What kind of operation is this place running? At the very least this place should be ensuring that the room temperature is comfortable should be priority #1, how is it that you do not have individual room temperature sensors so that the management staff can ensure that the rooms are comfortable, I asked the masseuse to turn the temperature up in the room so she plugged in a heater which was so loud that it made the experience even more unenjoyable and did nothing to help the room get up to temperature. The massage was unimpressive as well, the masseuse did not massage my hands or feet. she spent a lot of time on my back initially which was unimpressive, she did an ok job on my legs and arms. After the massage my wife and I went to check out, we had one out of three gift cards that was older than five years, the women at the desk said she couldn t take it because it was older than five years, she was very very rude about it, she said that they have one small sign on the counter at the front desk and that they ask the people buying the gift cards to relay the message to the recipient to use it within 5 years, seriously! are you kidding me this is your system????? How about printing and or writing in the expiration date on the gift card at the time of sale. Also what kind of place has a policy like this????? My suggestion is to get control of your spa, you re running an archaic operation here and your staff and spa needs help, very very poor customer service!

I come here for my waxing. Vikki is the best!! I highly recommend her!!! Shes so nice and does a great job every single time!!!! Took me forever to find someone who knew exactly what they are doing and hygienic!!!! You can just go in, and lay down and relax. No need to worry if your eyebrows are going to be jacked up or anything!!! She is super professional - the best. I did however get a pedicure, it was a little less than to be desired. They didn't really pumice my feet and they said it was a paraffin pedicure but they actually paraffin your hands not your feet Also the lady missed the edges of my toe nails while painting them. To me, it wasn't worth 60 bucks. But it was over all a nice experience

Really kind of bummed about my haircut here and the overall personality of the people I dealt with (over the phone & in person). Haven't been here in over 10 years and thought I would give it another try. I made an appointment and asked for a Master stylist figuring it would be a better cut. I am not picky with a rather simple cut. Long, straight with some layers...nothing major. I also believe it's just hair and will grow back so not really worried if it was cut too short or anything. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and that is with a wash, cut, dry & style. It took about 4 minutes to wash my hair (which was down to almost my waist) and it still was dry in spots on the back & sides of my head. Usually they massage the shampoo in really nice and then conditioner, she barely touched my scalp at all and definitely no massaging the product in. It was quickly cut and then she dried it but it was still all wavy at the root and looked frizzy. She only used the flat iron on the very bottom layer of my head, that's it. So I came home and straightened it myself the way I like it and the lengths are very uneven with long chunks in spots! The very front(bangs) was much longer on one side and shorter & thicker on the other. Guess I will get it just evened up a little somewhere and not sure what to do with the rest of the gift cards I have left. Hope others have better luck but both times I have been here for a hair cut, the results were less than what I hoped for. The massages I've had in the past were pretty good though so maybe go for that instead.

Services are less than stellar and very below expectations for a place that claims to be top notch. Customer Service is complete joke! My husband bought me a $200 gift certificate a little over a year ago but when he gave me the bag it was empty (no certificate). Had to fight for over 4 mths to get a credit of some sort (even brought in a copy of the credit card bill)..owner would not even give me or my husband the time of day. I did finally get a $75 massage and was told the remaining amount would be on my account to use another time...just called and they closed out my account completely!! Claimed there were no notes at all of the previous issue and they couldn't help me! Do not go here! Highly recommend Complexions...they even have a steam and relaxation room included with your service!!

I usually read reviews before visiting a new place and I was nervous to come here because of the reviews about the front desk staff being less than pleasant. I had a gift card so decided to give it a shot anyway. Called from the car to say we had arrived and the person on the phone was short and rude. She told us to come to the door, so we did. We stood in the cold for a few minutes and decided to go back to the car. 10 minutes later someone came to the door to let us in and seemed impatient. We were greeted inside by our nail technicians who were very kind. The manicure service was relaxing and the nail techs were very personable and polite without being overbearing. We paid before the paint went on our nails. When we were done we walked out to the main area to look at the shop. When we were done looking we went to walk out the door and were abruptly stopped by the girl at the front desk saying "did you pay" in a very rude tone. We told her we paid our lady before she painted our nails. The girl then stood and stared at us with a look that seemed like she was accusing us of stealing. Then she asked who our techs were and we couldn't remember the names. She asked if she had our names correct and we said yes. She said "okay." That was it. No "thanks for visiting, hope you enjoyed, etc." I wish I got her name because if it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have bothered with the review. We came to have a nice relaxing time to forget about stress for a bit and that is how our experience was ended. Don't treat your customers like poor dirt who come to steal from you. On a side note, it's one day after my manicure and my nails are chipping all over the place. I'm giving two stars because the nail techs were very nice. Other than that, this place sucks. You'd think after so many reviews on how terrible the front desk service is, they would do some personal inventory and correct the problem.

I agree with the others, the people at the desk are extremely rude and not customer oriented. I had my hair done for a wedding and the first thing my girl said to me was "Did you wash your hair, (of course I took a shower before I left) don't you know your hair has to be dirty in order to do anything with 'this'"!? For spending that much money and keeping the employees employed you should be treated like a princess for the hour/day and not like a peasant from the medieval times.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Requested a hair cut from the Artistic Director which was the most expensive stylist they have because I was very wary of cutting my hair. I wanted a shoulder length lob with layers so I could add a wave to it when I wanted. I brought pictures to boot!!! What I received looks like a child cut my hair. (In fact, when my daughter saw it she asked me if the reason why I didn t like it was because I cut it myself???). Not only is it not want I asked for, but it is the most uneven haircut I ever received. One side literally looks like the girl from Sixteen Candles who s hair got stuck in the door and her friend chopped it off. The layers are so choppy, they look like steps starting from my ear down. I am embarrassed to be seen in public and no amount of styling that I try can camouflage the worst haircut I have received in my life. I have literally cancelled plans because of my hair. I can t even see a solution short of literally chopping my hair off to my ears, which of course I will not do. Definitely will NOT ever, ever return and will tell my story to any and all who ask where I got this awful hair cut and why I am wearing hats for the next few months.

Horrible.

Horrible.

I have been going here on and off for years. All I wanted was my hair colored and trimmed. I walked in with long, layered hair and left with short, short bobbed hair. Guess the "stylist" didn't realized I have curly hair. One inch shorter on one side. My real hairdresser had to fix it. To make it worse, the front desk was nothing short of abusive. My favorite comment from manager, "well I didn't know how you looked when you walked in." Never, never again. I think I have PTSD from their salon.

My daughter & I had massages and facials this past weekend. The services provided were excellent. The front desk needs some work. They use gift cards but it seems to be a manual process which is very time consuming and confusing for the staff. They really need to invest in a guest card system. All and all it worked out but took about 15 minutes to check out. My daughter then received a call about an hour and a half later saying that we had been undercharged $20 and that we needed to return to pay the balance due. First of all this would not have happened if they used gift cards and software that accommodates them. Secondly I thought it was very unprofessional to call after the fact. They should have just let the $20 balance go. When we returned to pay the $20 owed it again was a very confusing mix of many papers to review to determine that one of the gift cards that was used had expired. That information was not given to us at the time of the transaction. This was not our error, it was the error of the person that check us out. In addition, we were told that gift cards are only good for 5 years but there is no where on the card or on Kimberly's website stating that. I asked where that information was and was told that they tell the people who purchase the gift certificates.
It really should be stated somewhere in writing rather than a verbal notice to the purchaser of the gift certificate since more than likely it is not going to be the person using it. We were not thanked for returning to pay the balance or apologized to for the inconvenience. After having such a good experience with the services it was ruined by the checkout process!

I had booked a "2 hour massage" specifically looking for this time frame for my birthday! I went and was told it was only 90 minutes, since the slot was booked 2 hours for the extra time given to the massage therapist to prep and clean at the end. While disappointed as I had specifically requested this (and was told incorrectly) I mentioned it to the very snoody and very unprofessional girls at the checkout who snipped at me when I had said something twice and were not polite or understanding at all. They ruined the entire experience for me. It's too bad.

Casey Bagramian. Call the better business bureau. If you paid with a cc there would be a record. And if you just purchased on for $250 than they also should have given you an extra $50 in a gift certificate. Your $250 is good for 5 yrs. But if I were you, I would just call it a loss and not go there for anything..... ever.

I went and got a French manicure the night before I was to start a new job. The manager was friendly when she checked me in. When my nail tech came to get me, it was 8 pm so I can understand why, she asked me what made me get a manicure this late. I felt like a bother. Although she warmed up as we went through the manicure. I was happy with it and left satisfied. The next day, I noticed that there were little imperfections. No big deal really, as no one gets close enough to my hands to notice. I m not sure if she was just in a hurry bc of how late it was or what. Tonight, a mere 5 days after I got the manicure, my nails are chipped and I m going to end up having to go bare nail. This was my first time here and while I ll probably go back, I won t ask for the same nail artist.

I cut my hair with Gabriella and as a person, she was very nice. I chose her because I have very long thick hair, and assumed since she s an artist director or whatever they call it, she would cut my hair properly. The haircut is not cheap at all, with a tip it costed a little over 60$. I come home and realize that my hair still has the same length and it looked like my hair had a little thin tail of hair towards the bottom so I was planning on coming back and asking to get it fixed. My hair is naturally super wavy so I didn t realize how badly she messed up my hair until I decided to straighten it! I literally almost cried, my hair is so thin and has no shape whatsoever. I asked for long layers and a frame but with my hair straightened, the frame and layers are so choppy and aren t blended at all. I didn t even want to go back to get it fixed because of how badly my hair looks. It literally looks like I have short hair when you look at the front of my head and I turn around and I have this long super thin chunk of hair in the back and it just looks terrible. Never coming back for a haircut and it is definitely not worth the price. My mother and I had previously booked future appointments (I wanted to dye my hair and my mom wanted a haircut) and I made sure to cancel them because of how upset I am about my hair. Hopefully another salon will be able to fix it.
