Amazing hospital. Amazing staff. It's baffling to see so many one star reviews. Reading up on it, it seems people are rating the hospital on the moods of certain staff rather than the overall quality of care which is excellent. I find it weird that patient's complain of too many spanish speakers, considering the policy at the hospital is that staff can only speak english. These bad reviews seem to be impatient individuals who don't know much about how hospitals work.

Called ahead of time to check wait time in ER. I was told by the nurse that there was no wait time. When I arrived with chest pain, shortness of breath, light headedness, difficulty breathing, the ER was full and I waited at the desk over 20 minutes without anyone even acknowledging that I was there. This after my
wife asked for a wheel chair for me and they laughed at her. Don't ever go here if you care about your life or anyone you know.

Was hung up on when asking if a friend was admitted there. What terrible people are there!

Sub par at best, go to Baptist if you have the option

They saved my life and the life of my unborn child after I collapsed due to preeclampsia. Forever grateful.

Worst hospital in Florida! almost all the nurses in ICU don't know what they are doing and they also don't care. Nurse soma is some Indian old lady that doesn't care what condition the patient is in she just gives sadatives to make her job easier and if they don't go to sleep she forces them to lay down and turns off everything to leave the room dark in the day time also told us .
" you aren't doctors to be asking me any questions" if you don't get her you might get nurse Roxy which is an old gentleman that will leave your patient urined and won't come back no matter how many times you call him because he rather be sleeping or flirting with other nurses. Another bad one is nurse Stephanie which is new and doesn't ask for help when she clearly needs it ,when you ask her any questions she will give you attitude and doesn't explain anything just says she already told you she doesn't know .. won't come back either.

You not even there yet and you can see already the lock of service with no operator but and answer machine, how ridiculous to get an answering maching at a hispital where you need so much types of information, inside the worst hospital ever

An orrible experience the same in emergency as motherhood for god the truth that my doctor works now only in that hospital and I only have to have my baby why but it is horrible the treatment they gave me when I entered for emergencies with 38 weeks of pregnancy the very bad truth

Excellent, for me it has been excellent !! They treated me in my 2 deliveries and just 19 days after the last delivery they treated me with a heart attack (Postpartum Coronary Dissection) and the Care was excellent !!!

My mother in law was trauma-hawked to this hospital and placed in ICU. Two broken hips from an auto accident, our nurse was spectacular. His last name was Leon. He was with his other patient but my mother in law was in a lot of pain and needed to be moved as she was so uncomfortable and had to be moved in a special way. While I knew he was busy I asked for another nurses help who was at a desk, I waited for her to look up as I knew she was busy. She blew me off by asking what room we were in and pointed to where my nurse was. I explained I understood but he was busy and she was in pain. She mumbled and got up and walked away. I was taken back but decided to go to the nurse desk, saw the nurse leader waited until she was done speaking, I was 3 ft away from her, we made eye contact, she KNEW I was there waiting for her, the NURSE LEADER (whose name tag said Lila or Lilia) WALKED AWAY AND DIDN T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE ME. Mind you there were 3 other nurses gathered around hanging out on the desk talking and failed to acknowledge me as well. We re on the ICU floor, WE ARE IN A HOSPITAL! Unacceptable.

In the past 2 years my husband and I have taken a journey that many of us aging persons go through. We have visited physician, been hospitalized and in the past 6 months each have had surgery - all at Kendall Regional. I want to thank everyone from registration, pre and post op, radiology, lab, outpatient, emergency room, the nursing floor and therapists who attended each of us with care and consideration. The procedures were explained, the care given, and the feeling of confidence in each step. I especially want to thank those in recovery who we do not usually remember but make us feel safe and take time to explain over and over what we are feeling and reassure us that we will be okay. A big shout out - truly a great place to be when you are going through life's challenges and would rather be home and healthy. Thanks Kendall for being a step on the way to better health.

I gave birth to my healthy baby boy at this hospital. Let me start off by saying that after i told them that my sons middle name was wrong 1001 times, they did not correct it, now my sons full name is wrong on his birth certificate and social security.The am nurses were horrible! Since I had epidural I couldnt walk, I called the nurse to help me cause I needed to go pee after they made me hold it for 2 hours and all she did was put a tub under me so I can pee. I peed myself and on the bed because the tub was small and didnt hold all my pee, I told the nurses that I had peed myself and nobody cared. My husband asked them to help me and still nobody came to help (i needed a new gown and clean bed clothes). One of them came back a couple of hours later and asked me why i was naked because i had taken my gown off, i needed sleep, so i told her i peed myself and nobody cleaned me, she left the room, mocked me to another nurse and then came back inside, threw some covers on the sofa telling me here are some covers for you to change your bed remind you I had just given birth and couldn't walk. Long story short all my doctors and PM nurses were absolutely amazing, 10/10 5 stars now the AM nurses were horrible, disrespectful literally deserve 0 stars.

This place is overcrowded, in the emergency room they have people sitting trough hallways, it reminds me a disaster movie or a 3rd world hospital( obviously it is not) . The problem with them is that they have to many population in the surrounded vicinity, and the hospital has no physical space to accommodate that many people. They need to solve this issue but i dont think they can, even with new additions they are doing right now. Besides of this uncomfortable issues, personal who take care of my relative was quite helpful and profesional( even kind), obviously they do the best they can do in such a crazy environment.

Overall a Fair experience, however the Nursing Staff experience was all over the place. There seemed to be No Consistency from one shift to the next. Most shifts were good, however some shifts were HORRIBLE.
I had to track down other Hospital personnel in the hallway to try and get my Nurse and even then it took several hours before I saw her. It seemed there was No oversite, No one in charge. When I called the phone on the board in my room, I got a message on all three numbers saying no-one was available and to call the Main Hospital number, which they did not give and I did not have ! This Hospital has a long way to go to be a Good Experience

The truth was the last time I was there was horrible I was fasting for two days waiting for my doctor that I had to do a procedure the first day did not appear the next day I could not eat because I was going to do the fasting study also that The same day I was discharged He told me not to leave until they give him lunch so that he is not so weak When it comes to walking to the parking lot, I waited for an hour When the mealtime came they told me that there was no food for me because the nurses forgot to report my food I left there without eating 2 days on an empty stomach and after having done a procedure with general anesthesia in the parking lot I passed out there they called the paramedics it took almost an hour to come I'm talking from the parking lot of the same hospital when the paramedics arrived they were more worried asking what was the car of the person who was accompanying me instead of asking what happened to me Watching me take me for the emergency I don't know after almost 2 hours was that they took me to the emergency room for a wheelchair there they started to torture me again Because they are inept, they don't know how to catch a vein one of the times I was there they gave me 37 punctures and in the end they could not catch me the oatmeal they had to hospitalize me and send me to the ward without having been able to catch my vein I have panic at that hospital, And to make matters worse it is the hospital where they sent me for today in the morning to do a surgery because That is the one with my insurance and I swear that I am dying of fear, they are going to have an iatal hernia operation. I am afraid that instead of having a leg operated on today, I do not know anymore I do not have any confidence, I am very afraid, I only ask God that everything goes well, at least I think the surgeon I'm going to have an operation is excellent but I am very afraid of the hospital, the treatment is very bad

My friend had her baby here at Kendall Regional Medical Center and had the best experience! She is now pregnant with her second child and is very excited to give birth at Kendall!

I went to the emergency room today, Dec 27th at 2:50pm, once passed reception area I went into a room to explain my situation and spoke to a very rude and condescending older blonde woman of Spanish descent. She belittled me stating my reason for coming wasn't an emergency (which it was for me) and said that they couldn't do what I needed (which two other nurses prior said they could) so we waited a long time for nothing. I hope someone can evaluate this woman as she was very rude.

The doctors and some nurses they are amazing but the admission they are idiots take 3 hrs to get released horrible !!!

My father had been here since Feb 28. I come every day to be with him. Over two months. The nurse are great to many to thank. But you know who you are. The doctors are great. That nurse treated him like family. I wish I can repay the staff for what they did for my dad and me. Thank you all !!!!

I just want to know why nurses and techs are allowed to wear perfume. Been in the hospital since Sunday with severe asthma attack. This NT comes in my room wearing very strong perfume, asked her to leave, and then she closes the door. Had to disconnect my IV and run for the hall. Thank God my resp. Tech was near by. My question is where are the brains?

Horrible service, my mother in law has been there for days , doctor would said one thing and a specialist will contradict them... she should had been released in two days... on the 3rd day she couldn't leave because they didn't have oxygen for her, on the 4th day they have the oxygen but they are waiting for a wheelchair, so she is still not discharged, I'm guessing they gonna keep her for another day to keep the bill going and going, I told my wife to never come to this hospital again , lets hope both of them leave without catching an infection, also this is not the closest hospital to them so I wonder how the ambulance decided to bring them here. Never again .

Awful hospital all afternoon and night in the same hall, no rooms to put patients, I see no organization there's no sanitation either, restroom all dirty and floor too, really bad experience I mean I was in a very uncomfortable seat next to another patient's door room and I had to move my seat every 15 min like for real, well I hope they improve one day, and one of the emergency restrooms door doesnt close and any one could enter by mistake SURPRISE!!!

i had a total hip replacement, everyone was fantastic. The only one issue i had was some aides did not speak any english, and i have no spanish. Otherwise all personnel were great, ready and willing to help

My daughter got sick during the night and the ambulance took her to this hospital ... I already understand why they have so many cases of negligence, they did not take care of controlling their pain, their food, their allergies or their medicines for epilepsy.
When we asked for a transfer to Nicklaus Children's Hospital, which is where his doctors are, the 'dra' in charge of one Diaz was so despotic.
No one there knows anything or takes responsibility for anything, everything is a mess.
I highly recommend the community not to take their loved ones there and request that the Fire Rescue not take that hospital as an option.

The hospital staff is not trained to deal with people. Should be a prerequisite to work in healthcare. Most nurses did not want to answer questions or get anyone who could, then when I kept asking they just starting speaking spanish. I am American and do not know spanish. The hospital should not allow caregivers to speak spanish when caring for englisk speaking patients, they have a right to know what is going on with their healthcare. Furthermore I was led to believe that they had medical staff available to treat my condition and that was not the case. They had to request a doctor to come in from someplace else to care for me. To bad it took them 10 hours to let me know that the doctor has 24-48 hours to respond to the request for consult. The resident doctor also had the gaul to say that it was my fault I did not ask them how long it would take for a consult. Why would I ask? I was brought to this hospital because they had someone on staff. Needless to say I checked myself out and will never return there. VERY POOR CARE.

Horrible, they don't treat u Like a human.the nurse there don't have no ppl skill what so ever, specially the head nurse and Regina G that where there on 5/25/14 @ 7:30 she started screaming and telling my wife to shut up while everything we where asking for was some compassion and understanding.she call the officer and started telling us to speak in English while screaming .she was really rude and racist.this hospital sucks and both times we went there we had horrible experience. We left the hospital and when to Baptist hospital ,nice attention and great ppl skill I recommend Baptist, doctors and nurse really understanding an professional.kendall sucks my wife lost the baby thanks to them

I don't even give this hospital a one the worst ever I am going to be reporting to the state the let my mother lay in urine refused to change the sheets refused to help her go to the bathroom mind you she can't walk the nurse has major attitude problems and no one speaks English this hospital should not even have its doors open

My wife was hospitalized due to a very serious car accident and thank God and the doctors of that hospital in the intensive care part they saved her. There is no time to live to thank so many attentions, effort, effort they put into achieving it, I will never forget. none of them who saw me so many nights with sad eyes when they saw my despair but at the same time I encourage them to do more to save my wife thank God today she is in good health

Daylin de Zayas, Maylen Terrero, Giselle Leon, Katherine Garcia, Jaqueline Perez, Elismey Silva, Giana Ruiz, Andrew Knit, Ricardo Burgos, Glenys Fernandez, Melissa Campana, Enmanuela Murrat, for the professional treatment and a magnificent and wide experience in their careers , I would like the nurses to be recognized and, if possible, rewarded

I give it a star because I can't give it 0 This hospital is the worst thing in life since you arrived they are telling you that they are going to take care of you and they don't take care of you they leave you lying in a room for hours and then they come and tell you not to be here Time is the surgery, they will not attend you and so with everything I do not recommend it at all

Terrible terrible place! unorganized and rude employees. First, I call to ask about labor and delivery registeraton and the guy who answered the phone told me that I have to be at the hospital personally to pregister even though the website says that I can do it online. So, I go to the hospital, to the main entrance to pregister and I m in my last month of pregnancy and tired. Anyways, the receptionist who was working there the time we got there Tayme was not helpful at all and made it difficult for us to pregister. I told her that I was there at the hospital before like few months ago so my profile should be in the system. So, I gave her my name and she said she only needs the 1st three letters from my last name (weird), and yet she couldn t find me! So, I gave her my ID and she still didn t find my name! How ridiculous!!! I came there few months ago to do an x-ray and I remember registrating in the same spot!!! Really?! She said no, don t see you in our system and you register online you don t need to come here. Rude! It s funny how employees there keep contradicting themselves. Not going to waste me time nor money in that place! It was a hassle already to get there already. She didn t even apologize, nope, she just gave us her back and kept staring at a tablet that she was holding. Ridiculous!

I warmly thank the Palm Emergency Department at Kendall and the Coronavirus Department on the 3rd floor for saving my life for your Medical Ability, Compassion and Professional Ethics About Passing the Quality of Any Other Hospital. God bless you. I was hospitalized in room 311 from June 28 to (12 or 13) and never in my life did I feel so Calm and Sure that I was in the best hands.

My father had surgery recently in this horrible hospital because this is where his surgeon does all of the procedures. The place is dirty, nurses are completely lost!! To make it simple my father died so to a malpractice from the hospital. No one is going to give us back my dad but people need to l do something about this place is no hospital. Please do not take you loved one here!

I just spent a week due to a cardiac event, since the minute I arrived in the ER I was received by a team of great doctors and nurses who saved my life. They patiently explained every procedure. Then I was placed in the ICU and the staff there was excellent and very professional, specially nurses Michelle and Sonia. The doctors came in often to give me updates. After 3 days I was placed in a regular room where I was attended by amazing nurses, sorry if I can t recall their names. Great job by all, it was a pleasure being cared for by your amazing team. Thank you!

Unable to get some information related to a patient
Nobody calls and nobody answer the phone

At first a person might not appreciate the hospital as it is small and the food is terrible. What is great is the special attention in the heart cath lab. Also the admitting nurses really go out of their way. The best part was when there was a major billing problem the patient access director, Miriam Gonzalez took care of it instantly. No other hospital would do that.

My grandfather was transported to this hospital on Friday because of collapsing and very low blood pressure. We did not want him to go this hospital, but for reliability based on the ambulance they have to take any patient with low blood pressure to the nearest hospital. When we got there they did not know where my grandfather was, five different people came in asking for the wrong person and trying to test on him that were meant for other patients. He was also soiled and we had to ask several times then demand them to change him. He was then admitted and when admitted finally to a room after getting there at 7:30 am to finally getting a room at 5:45 pm, he was soiled again and we asked for him to be changed, the cleaning lady got mad stormed out of the room and treated him like a dog and said, well now he has to wait. The nurse also complained that she could not get him all his medincines because she had too much work and could not deal with him. Not only that they doctor came in and did not even know who he was and very rude until my mother and I started to argue and tell him to have some bedside manner. Not only that the rooms are disgusting, very dirty. Today was the final straw where my grandfather called for someone to help him be cha he s and they left him with a soiled pamper for two hours and peed sheets and dressing gown. He also had spilled pee from a container on the floor from the previous night and no one came to clean. We had to argue with the nurses for them to come and finally clean him and the floor and asked for him to be discharged. Also the food looks as if a five year old made the food with play dough and for anyone thinking of taking their family members here do not. The nurses and doctors are uneducated, rude, and believe they are on the streets of Miami- beach with the way they speak to each other, the patients, and family members. I will be sharing pictures of my grandfathers room which he shared with another sick patient. Who also kept asking for help, but the nurses ignored him.

Awful, very unprofessional. Dirty. Patient's beds are horrible. No communication between nursing staff and patient. Phones in patient's rooms dont work.

I took my friend was having a sickle cell attack. They told us the wait is 2 hours. That patients with more life threatening situations are going. The wait here is crazy. The staff was unprofessional. Really disgusted by what the staff said.

The attention was superb , the nurse was very professional and attentive, she kept me informed every step of the and checked on me frequently . The physician was very professional and thorough on her examination and explanation. I left satisfied. Thank you Kendal Hospital Staff .

Terrible service, almost no nurses, very few, very expensive restaurant!

Horrible experience, my dad was admitted yesterday and we have not been able to speak to him, he is always sedated or at some procedure , nurses and other staff have hung up on us, have told us to stop calling, won t give any information, but also won t even help us to try and talk to him. We don t know how he is, what s going on...nothing. During this time when you can t go to the hospital to accompany your loved ones, and stay in the know, they should show a little empathy and humanity, and not act like you are calling to check on dog or something. Will be taking this wherever we need to take it to, until we get some answers.

Absolute disorganization among the medical staff did not know my mother's problems, every time I spoke with someone different they had no knowledge of the problem or the mental health status of my mother. The infectologist referred to a topic that I asked in rude way. It was not the best experience.

The kendall regional hospital is the baddest that there is in Miami, first they ask you for insurance, then they put you to bed and leave you for two hours without saying anything, nor does a nurse want to review because these ones, the one who gets bad is getting worse. he arrives wounded he dies ... please send the nurses to study and the mission doctors to iraq. to see if they save someone there.

I have mixed feelings about this hospital. On one hand, the nurses and doctors are mostly great. On the other hand, having been inpatient for two weeks, something was also off, however I cannot identify what it is...weirdly. I've spent over 500 nights in the hospital in the last 25 years and this was one of my least favorite stays. The food isn't good, IMHO. I was hesitant to even review because the staff certainly cares and tries their best, however, again, something is just off. If I had to guess, I would guess that they are understaffed. I do know that a lot of the staff - who again, tried their best and clearly cared - were agency. Everybody seemed tired and overworked, which really isn't their fault. Not enough time to do all that they needed to do during their shift, but they certainly tried their best. I wouldn't not go here again, however, I would try to reach an alternate hospital.

Horrible service. I went to this hospital twice because the ambulance took me there. First time the had me for two days in the hallway, just saw my doctor once. None of the nurses had enough information to help me, and I had to call them to remind them my medication. Second time a got a shared room, but same situation, even though I had a nurse, I had to call other nurses to get her cause she was busy. Doctor just went to see me once and I couldn t reach him to discharged me. The other patient in the room had lots of complaints too, and they charged ridiculous amount of money for the worse service a patient can get. If you are conscious, tell the paramedics to take you somewhere else.

I visit this hospital in February 15 , 2014 with my son , in Pediatric Emergency Dept , I pay the co-payment corresponding to my insurance and taken care . I stay a couple hours and leave with the prescriptions. In January 2015 I receive a bill from a collection company requesting a payment of $315.36 . When I call this collection agency they said that I owe to the doctor who take care in the emergency in the Kendall Regional Hospital , I explain that I pay the copayment to this hospital and assume include care physician , but they said not , the doctor was not include . When I called to the Kendall Hospital for clarification , great was my surprise to confirm me that I really own this money to the physician and just the co-payment was for paid the use of the hospital !!!! My big QUESTION here is , why I went to the hospital only for see the installation inside , but not to be seen by a doctor ? How I know what doctor is covered for my insurance and which does't ? I need to revise the entire list of the doctor in the emergency previously to go? repeat a EMERGENCY !!
Basically I pay the amount , but never more go to this hospital.
Recommend the Baptist System , in 10 years attending to my children's at this hospital I never receive a secret bill for a ghost doctor I never met.

this is the worst hospital by far my gorlfriend is 27 weeks pregannt and we went in through emergency because she was having severe pain in her lower back and could barely walk. they had her in a room for 4 hours and did nothing to her. she left with no knowledge of what the pain was or if our child was okay. NO ONE GO TO THIS HOSPITAL. their goal is to get money from the insurance claims and they dont care about the patients well being. the nurses were super lazy and were doing nothing to help her. i wish i could give this place ZERO stars because thats what they deserve!

Worst hospital experience. Do not bring your loved ones here ever. Promises are made and not followed through by staff. Couldn t even get a bedside commode and was promised all day long we re looking for one , oh I m going now to get one , Never came. Neurology is coming at 8:30 am, it s now 7:45pm still have not heard from them. My daughter is being held hostage here. Meds are messed up as well, ARGH!!

I understand all the negative reviews. The lack of parking, construction etc. I recently took my son to the ER with an asthma attack. My personal experience was much better than expected. They treated him quickly and we were treated very well. I have no complaints with the staff or the service. They did everything there was to do for my boy and for the visiting family. Therefore I give them the four (4) stars. They deserved that from me at least as they earned every one of them. They only do not get five (5) because the parking was heinous. However they are working on that hence the construction.

For emergency pediatrics It's good and I had my baby here and it went very well, good attention

I loved all the service in the Maternity center. They made me feel very comfortable, they treated me very well, very trained nurses. They took care of my baby and me with much love and professionalism. I would definitely return without hesitation.

I've been coming to this hospital since 2007. I've never had a problem, all the doctors and nurses are amazing they are all bilingual and very fast. I love the service and the feel of the place in general. It's clean and it's not hot like some people are saying.

I have been coming to this place for over 20 years in and out and have noticed their services throughout the years, without even being admitted.
Let me tell you this place is the worse!!...People are rude from the kitchen ladies to their arrogant doctors who dont even say hello.
Nobody even says good morning, or afternoon, they dont have any manners at all to anyone.
Security, let people go speeding in their cars through the front of the hospital and do not do anything as elders are trying to cross to the entrance, risking a possible serious accident.
This place hire people as numbers and could care less..This place is just another banana monkey administration and only exist, for charging services and not the caring of people. Not even Jackson's staff act the way they do here, to visitors and patients. Then, you get the same response from Peter "the owner", who could care less cuz, I'm sure he read all these reviews and didn't do anything about it. Instead, he just leaves a phone number and goes on his business.

My wife and I have spent SEVERAL hours to have someone to take care of her,she is 18 months and she was having big pain and pressure on her belly,I also had to ASSIST the nurses being a costumer on the Hospital,not planning to EVER come back here EVER never again

My mom and me were there from sat until we'd evening. My mom has Alzheimer's and wonders off a lot so she ended up in my room the whole time we were there. I was 4320 n she was 4321 but in reality everything was taken care of in my room The doctors pct and and everyone else were great and very professional but the nurse that took care of us were next level they had so much patience with my mom and so kind to her I will always be grateful for their care of her n me. Btw we are negative for covid 19.
They only thing that wasn't good at the hospital was the tv no espn n to many of the channel u have u can't see because one reason or another.

0 sense of urgency at the ER. I understand that emergencies have different levels, and that you cant see all patients at the same time with limited staff, but when you have to wait 2 hours after you are told the next thing they are going to be doing on your family, and you ask why is this taking so long... with a reply " you have only been waiting 2 hours" its very disappointing and scary

Worst hospital ! Understaff, not clean, rude personnel, staff ignore patients, the cafeteria food is disgusting, not enough parking.
The nurses station is useless, I would not recommend this facility.

Terrible. My son went there and after a few hours was sent home with some pain killers . I took him to Memorial West where he had emergency surgery and has been there for a week. I will never go back to Kendall Med. Ctr

No one here knows what they are talking about or doing, they don t take anything seriously and don t care about the patients. They constantly switch doctors and they don t communicate with each other so you have to explain the situation to each one 20+ times. The nurses can t do anything right and put patients in danger. The signs in the ER say to be quiet for patients to rest but the nurses are constantly laughing and screaming outside the rooms loudly, very inappropriate. The place is super disgusting and unsanitary but I was forced to go here due to its proximity to house and if you re in a serious situation you can t transfer. This place deserves 0 stars and should be shut down.

I was burned pretty bad I was rushed to this horrible hospital to the burn unit ICU.I was in shock from my burns very scared I was never in a hospital before to stay .my husband had to wait for my mother in law to watch our son to drive the 2 hour. Because I was from a different part of fl that didn't have a burn unit .I got there treated like crap they had no emotions I was burned on my feet they never helped me to the bathroom I had to unplug myself and drag my Iv to the bathroom then a nurse says can you stop doing that with a attitude well maybe if you did you're job and helped me I wouldn't need to.the plastic surgeon who did my surgery's was out for my good insurance he did a horrible job caused me to have 2 more surgery's after the first one he didn't even cover my toe with skin.he wanted to skin graft me from my c section scar my mother said no way I did wound care because I did not trust my life in that hospitals hands at all!! Because of this he made me wait from 8 to 1 to get me into surgery to do my last one to scrape the skin off me.the nurse's that prep you said that this has never happened I had such anxiety from this hospital they treated me horrible when I got there up to my last surgery.the night I got there I could not sleep before the guy nurse leaves he tells me who my nurse will be for the morning and he goes didn't sleep i said NOPE he didn't even check on me all night or give me sleeping medicine or pain medicine I was in horrible pain I had 3 degree burns on my feet!!! This hospital is crap and they are highly racist against white people!!! I was treated poorly because it's all of Spanish and I am white with goood earned health care! They all need to learn respect of everyone! And different race's we are in 2016 not back in the day racism is horrible and I never felt so bad in my life from this hospital and you better believe that crap doctor got paid in full they caused my PTSD from being burnt even more! Stay away from this burn unit go to Tampa burn unit !

It just need more parking but for now customer service been good.

HORRIBLE ER SERVICE.. the doctors were trying to deter me from receiving medical treatment saying there was nothing to be done for my symptoms and they "didnt have time" to run blood.. i had to repeatedly ask for blood work to be drawn and force them to examine me. Doctor was very rude and condesenting. Dont waste ur time

I've been coming for one reason or another to many hospitals in my lifetime, my parents my family myself my kid but this experience with the trauma center was definitely 5 stars from the beginning being picked up promptly by the rescue to being taken to the trauma center and rolled right in no delay they handled everything wonderful, I was talked to along the way giving me details of what's happening I've been in the hospital a few days and everybody has been very nice very professional everybody has done their job well 5 stars thank you Kendall regional.
I'm saddened as I was checking out of hospital, I was told i had to be seen by pt physical therapist in house. They had already seen me the day before I walked for them stretched walked the hall for them I squated for them. I'm fine, I explained hurricane could be coming and there were things I needed to do, but they wanted me to get their inhouse with them. I had explained that my best friend owns a therapy center in that would use him they made it impossible for me to get out of the hospital unless I saw them for a second time. The initial blood work showed I was low and calcium but they said since there was so much blood loss it could have been part of it so they gave it to me and IV and A-day later they took another blood work I was never given the results I still haven't. I woke up on the 2nd night with a lot of chills freezing they took my blood my temperature instead it was 96.4 but they said the Room was cold I've also been having some back pain which could be maybe something in the kidney but they never bothered to check they just said I was cold. Called the plastic surgeon to schedule an appointment and now they told me there was some sort of Fracture something that was never in any way shape or form communicated to me I'm disappointed. Wife asked why I wasn't given a sling, lady on phone just said they might not wanted me to wear one. So from tuesday to saturday morning no sling, fever, I decided to go back to er. They could not understand why I was not given pain meds. Was given release by doctor in morning 9am, 2pm not checked out because PT had not come. They had come and evaluated me the day before, I told them my friend was going to do it at home, 30 years experience. I'm speculating but assuming they were not interested. I decided to self check out. There was nothing they could do as I had a cast, same eval they did previously just to make sure I was stable, done the previous day as I walked and raised my arm overhead. Anyway they made me sign some paperwork but would not give me follow up appointment or any pain meds paperwork at all etc. Sad, the paper shuffle pushing their internal physical therapy, what happened to doing the right thing for patient. Asked for script for my friend to take care, did not do it only when I returned saturday they gave me script for pain pills and antibiotic, also sling. They could not understand why I was not given these things, check out pic, this was Major!

he Keys were not equipped to help me apparently. This Hospital admitted me right away, They took really good care of me. They got me back to health and for that, I'm thankful. Keys could have done everything that this hospital has done with zero problems, but kept sending me home every time I was in so much pain with my dental infection... Ugh, I don't know if there was a lack of planning at the appropriate time, but at the moment it is a maremagnum to enter and look for parking with the construction of an elevated parking lot towards the southwest area that would suggest going twice as it aggravates the heavy traffic from the 40th street crossing with the turnpike to the miami SW

I was admitted through the emergency room in November because I fell and fractured my vertebrae my wait when I walked in was not even five minutes until I saw a physician immediately I was admitted after x-rays been taking and brought up to ICU I had surgery the following day on Sunday two days later I was transferred to a regular room [ a very nice room private room ] and two days later I was discharged. the ER staff the ICU staff and the regular floor nurses and services were absolutely wonderful I have no complaints at all except for the bill luckily my insurance covered what they were responsible for. While visiting member of my family recently I walked across to ICU and thanked one of the nurses that took care of me. I wish I wouldn t have been able to thanked them all.

I have been here before for kidney stones and diverticulitis each time through the emergency room walking in no complaints services were excellent.

This is my 2nd surgery within three months at Kendall Regional Medical Center. Prior to my surgeries, I had only heard negative comments about this facility. Now, after two surgeries within 90 days, I would like to take this opportunity to give you an honest and accurate review. In my experience, I could not find one negative aspect within my experience.
The hospital has valet parking which alleviates parking concerns. The Outpatient Registration Department is on the first floor adjacent to the lobby. The staff within this department is courteous, knowledgeable, helpful and committed to making this process as simple as possible.
The overall process, including evaluation by the Nurse and blood draw,
was accomplished in under one hour. The Surgical Department is located on the 2nd floor. There is ample seating and patient information regarding current status is displayed on a video display. In addition, there is personnel seated in this area that will update you on surgery time, etc.
The Surgical Pre Op area is very clean and organized for such a large busy surgical department. The nurses assigned to pre op surgery are extremely knowledgeable and well experienced. They describe every aspect of the many requirements needed prior to surgery. I found them to be very friendly and engaging. For such a busy surgical department, the noise level was low and respectful. The House Doctors that reviewed my surgeries were of the same caliber. Very knowledgeable, engaging and truly concerned about your care. The Anesthesiologists did an outstanding job in not only reviewing my medical history, but ensuring that I was fully aware of the type of sedation my surgery would require.
In neither instance did I have post op issues with nausea or headaches.
They did an excellent in controlling my post op pain as well. The recovery room is co located within the surgery department. I had excellent nurses who were extremely attentive. They continually monitored my pain status and provided medicine as needed. These nurses did an excellent job in communicating post op requirements, as well as completion of discharge paperwork. I found them to be patient, engaging and well educated in getting the patient ready for discharge.

If I could give Kendall Regional Medical Center 6 Stars, I would. I am glad that I had my surgeries at their facility. I wanted to make sure that I posted this review so that those negative reviews could be dispelled and replaced with honest and accurate five star comments.

1 is for the treatment of my mother in the ED. No one would come and help her use the restroom (she had been in a car accident). I asked a nurse to help her go to the restroom (bed pan) and the nurse said that she wasn't my mother's nurse but that she'd find her nurse. 30 minutes later, I ended up lifting my mom onto the bed since no one else could be bothered. Horrible way to treat a new patient. But, the staff on 3 West have been amazing. The nurses have been very attentive and pleasant. It almost erases the horrible experience from the ED. I did tell the ED desk that they should get a back up person if a nurse has to go somewhere else. It's not correct to have no nurse available to help a non-ambulatory use the restroom.

Worst hospital to come to. Very unprofessional and the environment is bad. Worst staff un educated.

It Is a good Hospital with nurses who are not well trained .I do not recommend it.

This place was terrible. Please don't come here if you're sick. My grandmother was here for surgery and it was horrible, there were used needles all over the floor, trash and waste was overflowing from the garbage can, and there were complications during her surgery and no one even bothered to talk to us about it.

Horrible. Sitting in pain for 2 hours. And my "nurse" isn't worried how I'm feeling, what my pain level is ... I walked out. They might have a great trauma unit, but their ER isn't

My baby girl was born thanks to the effort and patience of Dr. Adrian Marimon and his staff, who did an outstanding job. All of them, specially him were extremely professional like usual, besides that, during the preparation and recovery time, all the nurses of Prenatal and Postpartum Department were very polite and helpful, specially Tiffany, who spent a lot of time explaining us how to handle different situations, and also create a feeling of trust and confidence in us with her beautiful job. Thanks a lot for everything Dr, and thanks a lot for everything Tiffany.

My wife just had knee replacement surgery and was at the hospital 2days. The orthopedic floor is great. She had awesome nurses on the floor as well as at pre & post op. This was her 4th orthopedic surgery and we ve had the same experience every time.

My experience in this hospital was horrible. I do not recommend it to anyone who comes here. I brought my dad with a burn on his arm and his belly. I arrived by emergency and that first step was quick, I did not know that the worst came later, an assistant came from the doctor to see my father's burns, said they had to admit it because they had to clean the burns. Supposedly I brought him here because they are the burn specialists *** around 8:30 AM. When all this happened, they put him on a stretcher and put him in a hallway to wait until 7:30 PM. and they have not given him a room just for him ... at 9 p.m. He was admitted to a room that was not for the one who had to go. Did an emfermer arrive and put a cream on the burns, supposedly to prevent infection? Lord is serious ??? Do you have this time to avoid infection? There was a story to tell me what I did not do ... I had to call the nurse and tell her that my father is diabetic and that he needed his medicine. In that same moment he tells me that if my dad took some other medicine that was not diabetis. Come on, man, that's what you should know, because I gave you all your data and they filled everything because it's the first time in that hospital. Then he did the one to tell the doctor. He never went to see anyone leave the room and started to go around because he was looking, well, at 10:00 pm, the doctor never came to see if he was burned, right? They tell me that tomorrow they will operate to scrape it. There is all that ... Now I ask you ??? Who says that the emfermeros who do not know anything? What the hell is this? We are in the United States, since they will not know anything of what they have thrown at my father, it is as if he were something more than a human person. Where is the professionalism of this place? I should eliminate some licenses ... now the owner of this hospital I think his name is Peter. do something with your doctor in this hospital the truth very very bad experience. and I'm going to make it honest I'm not putting these comments in the places I go but I felt so bad that I did. The truth is that I do not have any more words to describe this place as one of the worst hospitals in Miami because the Jackson I think it exceeds it .. never but never come back here...

To get a bed you have to wait more than 24 hours. Nurses, doctors, staff in general should conduct courses of sensitivity and courtesy. How much will the Director have paid to give the certifications to the hospital? By saving money by not placing more employees for a better service, they sacrifice their patients. I have more than 24 hours waiting for bed for an 81-year-old patient with leukemia, recently operated on by the instentinos, among other conditions and I have not yet been able to talk to any doctor, let alone get a bed. You have to call the nurses a thousand times to help us change the patient and keep their wound out of infections What type of service is this ?. I do not want to receive messages that take this problem seriously because that is falsehood. Do your work in a better way or just close those institutions one. Look at the reviews that the Hospital has. They should be ashamed. 2.7 rating is to be well mediocre.
