The hospital staff is not trained to deal with people. Should be a prerequisite to work in healthcare. Most nurses did not want to answer questions or get anyone who could, then when I kept asking they just starting speaking spanish. I am American and do not know spanish. The hospital should not allow caregivers to speak spanish when caring for englisk speaking patients, they have a right to know what is going on with their healthcare. Furthermore I was led to believe that they had medical staff available to treat my condition and that was not the case. They had to request a doctor to come in from someplace else to care for me. To bad it took them 10 hours to let me know that the doctor has 24-48 hours to respond to the request for consult. The resident doctor also had the gaul to say that it was my fault I did not ask them how long it would take for a consult. Why would I ask? I was brought to this hospital because they had someone on staff. Needless to say I checked myself out and will never return there. VERY POOR CARE.
