This has to be absolutely the WORST hospital ever!!! I always think twice before coming here and think it's problably changed and.... NO, still the same!! I can understand that they get busy. But the staff is usually rude not very helpful. It is impossible to be waiting 4 hours in the waiting room to get attended!! I rather drive 25 minutes and go to Memorial Miramar and I'll be seen and out of the hospital before I even go into to be seen here.
ABSOLUTELY A HORRIBLE HOSPITAL!!!!
Administrator must do something to make this better!!

Very prompt, professional and courteous medical staff and treatment, from the attending doctor, to the nurses and technicians. Having lived in Miami since the mid 70's, I've seen Kendall Regional (and under its former names) undergo dramatic changes and improvements. I can tell you that from my experience through the ER, Kendall Regional is a superior hospital for emergency and trauma.

I was at the Emergency Room and the service was bad. Only the X-rays technician was as profesional as it should be. The rest, should stay at home if they are going to bring bad faces and bad services to sick people.

The story of my bad experience at your hospital does not fit in this space, so I'm writing a letter today.
The hospital has bad reputation but I had never had a personal experience. Now I can see why friends even people in the medical field make a face when I ask about your hospital.

A few days ago we had a family member admitted, she cannot speak almost on the phone, we had a nightmare, we tried to talk to the nurses in the apartment, neither the social worker nor the doctor, she can answer the phone, she is in the room floor. At 406 W. I write. This here to have if someone has the humanity to answer, and all I have left to do is call the Police. Thanks SOS

the worst of experiences. yesterday my father-in-law was taken to that hospital by the rescue. pir having a pain in the chest. they had it all night without eating, without serum and without giving him hospital clothes in room 413 besides with very bad hygiene. we decided to take it to us at 5 pm in the afternoon for another hospital close to hypoglycemia. A doctor never appeared. and two days ago they had done a catheterization of his veins.

Thank you very much to all the workers and professionals who attended me. . I have no complaint of any. The treatment and attention was magnificent. I was treated in the trauma department and was treated in room 4111. Thanks to all the medical nurses. Attendees and everyone who took care of me with such love and professionalism.

This was my first visit to Kendall Regional Medical Center. I was visiting the area from NH and had no idea how find anything. The registration staff and MRI staff were excellent in assisting me. I found parking more of a bother than the hospital experience. Good work by your staff!!

If I could give a negative star, I would. There is no communication between the ER and the hospital. The miscommunication is constant. Nurses are never seem to be around. Mission impossible to find them. The doctors are nice and know their information, but there needs to be more communication between the staff. The meds for my father were given at the wrong times or said it was already given when it wasn't true. Never again I would visit that hospital or take anyone I love.

This place is the worst Hospital I have ever known. We are a family of doctors and for a doctor the most important thing is to save the lives of his patients. Here there is no respect for human life and be very careful that in this place instead of saving your life you can lose it and you have only one life. It was the worst experience of my whole life

What a horrendous experience...

What a horrendous experience...
I was staying in this nightmare of a hospital ward...
The only thing that saved me were the compassionate nurses, especially a nurse named Diva..they were all wonderful, but the name Diva stuck out.
These nurses are so wonderful, but the facility is disgusting, the bathroom was flooded, the TV barely worked, there was one remote control for the entire ward??? What the hell???
This place has a bad reputation as it is : KILLER KENDALL!!!!!!
Btw... the dr's are apathetic and nasty !!
I wouldn't reccomend this hospital to a corpse

Been waiting over 9 hours on a bed in the middle of the hall way. Where I keep passing out and all the nurses do is hook me up to IV and leave me alone for several more hours. Apparently they are understaffed so they will leave you unattended for a good while. Then the doctor has the audacity to not give me a doctor's note for work just because I got fed up and voluntarily wanted to leave to somewhere that will give me better help. Not only that, but she talked to me like I'm human garbage. Unprofessionalism at it's finest. I didn't even get to speak a single word. And they also lost my insurance card. Please do not come here. The worst service.

I am hospitalized for a very intense pain in the gallbladder and since 6 o'clock my medicine has touched me, I have been calling them many times and nobody attends to me and it is already 9 o'clock at night I can not stand the pain anymore. It's horrible if this continues like this I'm going to sue for medical malpractice.

This is horrible

I don't know how to put on words how this hospital really is. Scary funny, the ER, the people that works there. I've already posted a review almost 3 years ago and it's hard to believe there still patience complaining about the same things I've complained about. I've even received an email about it a couple of times from managers saying that that's not the way they wanted the hospital to run and 3 years later they still haven't done anything!!!!?????

I went there with a panic attack which I've never had before and didn't know how to deal with it, and they've told me to leave so they can take care of people that are "REALLY SICK?!!!!". I've told them to please give me a wheel chair so my wife and parents take me to Memorial West. I was waiting for it for agonizing 10 to 15 minutes inside a small room full off blood stain on a table and on the wall!!!! there were a cup with pee on it. The nurses (women) were laughing and flirting having fun with the doctors and male nurse. You can't make this up, it was really an experience you can only see it on a horror movie, like an Asylum horror movie.

Managers still worthless? Yes
Nurses and some doctors too? Yes

If you are between live and death and you want to die, go to Kendall Regional and they will happily do you that favor.

If you want to live, please ask your family, friends to avoid this Asylum Horror place called Kendall Regional and have the ambulance know about it. Save yourselves, family, and friends and do not go here. Trust us, you can see the ratings here.

My wife & I live in Key West, FL. She had a terrible accident in the kitchen Christmas Eve which resulted in 3rd degree burns to her left hand. Sadly Key West cannot handle serious burns. We arrived at 7P. One nurse was extremely rude as my wife was crying & loud upon arrival. Once we got past that they did there best to keep her comfortable stating Hospital van on way & could be couple of hours. It turned into a 16 hour wait when the medical van arrived! We did get an apology for the 16 hour wait. Gal appeared to be manager of some sort. Due to the severity & extreme pain my wife was in the driver got us safely to Kendall in 2-1/2 hours! Once we hit the emergency room she was taken care of immediately with plenty of TLC by all involved. She even got a private room. Generic but CLEAN! Nurses were terrific. Never took more then 10 min to reach me if anything was needed. My surgery is for tomorrow morning. If no problems I'll head back home to Key West Tues. personally I've been to a few FL. Hospitals & it all depends on the day. Unfortunately hospitals need to stay consistent. FL. Hospitals are not. Im happy to report my time at Kendall Regional turned out to be a good experience & I was well taken care of. Thank you.

I recently broke my heel in two on Nov 26th on Key West and had to be transported to Kendall Regional.

I had the worst hospital experience of my life.

The entire place as far as I could tell operates in 1st gear.

The emergency room is packed constantly ,I was kept in there for 2 days.

Apparently no one knows what if anything that anyone else is doing.

I came to think of this place as the Keystone Hospital.

Most of the staff are either Curt or worse.

I was left alone twice in pain and refused pain medication until I was crying like a baby and they even laughed at me.

Karma is a ***** that's all I'm saying.

Kendall regional hospital you should bring your loved one as a last resort.!!!!!!!! People only speak Spanish do not understand you if you Speak English. They ve gone back and forth if you need surgery if he doesn t need surgery then they come to ask for a vial of blood for blood storage? When they say surgery is not needed?? That s their level of care treatment??As to their theories? As to their level of care treatment slowness slow slow slow.

OMG

If you have any other options use them for your loved ones sake and you sanity.

If you have another option and you have to come here make sure you ask lots of questions.

I've been here at the hospital now for over three days and I've repeatedly asked them to change my linen my bed my gown it's nobody listens apparently.... on the other note the doctor seemed to be great they have taken very good care of me but the process the staff the food and everything really needs improvement rating is a 2.9 which is terrible. Mr.ceo you have great doctors how about having great service also.now I've been over 13 hours without water food or medication due to an exploratory operation quote unquote. The truama team will NOT give me meds for pain that has worked for the past 3 nights. apparently nobody's listen to me or read the charts. My pain due to today's surgery is at a 12!!!! and still they will NOT provide me with proper medication for pain.
on the other hand the nursing staff is fantastic they have attended to my needs they have advocated my needs they have given me everything I've needed special shout-out to Luis, James, and Latrice are just great
I work directly for Google we pride ourselves on our customer service and Kendall regional seems to be opposite. They really need to improve services at this hospital I will make my concerns noted and all cyberspace.

The worst hospital in Miami, I have almost a month to get my father's diagnosis and I still have not resolved to be the guardian, until an appointment with the psychiatrist, who surely already charged his fees, but the note of nobody knows who can give it to me in this condition. I have been in the hospital for more than 15 days and my father has been in the hospital for more than a month. They are paid and must perform, in order to stop being people to be a product to see who gets us more money. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Throughout my pregnancy, i ve had the worst experience ever. i suggest you don t come to this hospital if you re having a baby. Dr.Marimon was great but his staff was terrible, you have an appointment at 9:30 and you won t be seen till 11 staff has a slick attitude.

HORRIBLE! My brother almost stopped breathing when one ER DR. sent him with antiobiotics for a "cold" when in reality we had to rush back to the ER and ran tests that were positive for Flu/rsv. This doctor saved his life but he only worked for a short period of time!

They don t care for you at all they don t check up on you especially the ER department. I ve been here more than 12 hours and only seen my nurse twice. I am all alone when I need something as basic as using the restroom I can t go and must hold it for 4 hours before I get some one to help which is not my nurse. I am having a hard time breathing and they haven t done absolutely anything to make me feel better

The Emergency at the hospital left my wife waiting for 3 hours to be attended, she was very badly attended by a nurse ... at the end of the service, she had no strength to get out of bed, they did not let me in and there was no one to help her. outside the garbage that was the room she was in

This hospital is a robbery, they worry first to charge that for attending to the sick, my wife almost aborted bleeding and they did not attend it is incredible the lack of humanity that exists in this hospital, if God wants, I will never go there, the doctor Nor attended, if I had a good deal for the nurse

Terrible and slow. Never any parking, and you are ignored for hours at a time. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you enjoy waiting in the halls on beds with no privacy (hipaa violation???), and being ignored by the staff.

If I could give this zero stars, I would.

My grandfather is there now in the emergency room ...

My grandfather is there now in the emergency room and they took him to get a catscan, nonetheless, my grandfather (who I've never seen cry in over 30 yrs since I've been alive) was in tears and wiping them away when they brought him back. They hurt him so bad while doing his catscan. He is unable to lay down fast due to sciatica and he's in excruciating pain. You would think they would take it easy with him. He's elderly! He has the biggest heart and never bothers anyone and he got treated like that. In a manner that made him cry? He tried to hide the fact that he was crying but we could see ut and he mentioned that they hurt him. ...i'm afraid of the lack of training and skillset this hospital may have. All the employees seem to just laugh and goof off and sit around talking about anything but the patients. My heart literally hurts from seeing how people can treat the elderly so bad. I work in healthcare and I would never tolerate anything but the best for my elderly people!

I understand that hospitals can be very busy and I'm very thankful for nurses and doctors. However, I've had two experiences at the ER room as a companion of a loved one, and sadly I have to say that I did not feel comfortable or secure leaving my loved one by themselves at the ER. I don't know if the problem is lack of staff, or is normal procedure that the patient stays for a long period of time waiting for a simple request, such as pain medication. I have read some of the negative reviews, and many refer to the ER.

My wife Amaylid and I are grateful for how the nicu s team has treated our newborn son Mateo. they have been very efficient and professional. We also want to thank BSN Yeni because she was a teacher for us, in her hands our son was well cared for, God bless her hands. All the nicu s team is very responsible and they carry out their work with love and dedication.

We recived a very bad service at the Emergency room, then the nurses did not follow the doctors instructions, so my father was translated to ICU without the medication that I needed, in the ICU the doctor was very disappointed about what they did, but the same happens in ICU. At the end of the day he didnt recived a very good service from the nurse and staff in ICU. They do not have a MD , or specialist in the ICU 24hrs and my father star to feeling bad and they didnt do nothing, only wait for the MD at 10am.
In The other hands are bathrooms are very dirty and smell bad, a lot is neglected and in the waiting area there is an incredible water spill, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Nobody pays attention to the situation of dirt and loss of hospital resources

Try to call the number that they answer here but nobody answers.

I have another complain. Look what the pretend that my father (diabetic patient) eat for lunch. See the picture.

I was talking with the personal and the employees of the hospital are in disagreement of everything that happens there.

I ask about talk with the case management, and I m waiting for 3 days until today that probably he appears in few hours I m not sure.

Terrible attention., I arrived with my friend an 86-year-old person, to register from eleven in the morning and it is three in the afternoon and we still do not go with the nurse for a few questions only ... we never thought this would be the case

My experiences in the hospital in relation to the ...

My experiences in the hospital in relation to the health personnel are very good, but with the parking is terrible, there are 5 different parking valet stations and there is no regular parking, 75% of the parking lot of the Hospital are valet parking, they have k solve this problem and assign valet parking a pork area is very uncomfortable the situation where you want to arrive k plastic barriers are not allowing entry to an entire area of parking k are empty and also all other places have also k are valet parking, I wonder if the parking lot is full of cars of medical staff and patients or companions, where I can park if I go to a consultation ???????

My dad was in this hospital from August 21 to 26 of this same year 2019, that is until yesterday, my opinion of the hospital is bad, they sent my father still sick yesterday, in fact today he is in the hospital palmetto again, after the MD told me that he was planning to discharge, I did not agree, neither did my father, nor did Dr. Embes come to send another to convince us that it was better for him to leave for the house, (that he could take another antibiotic-resistant bacteria) but they had not finished curing him and discharged a poor old man who cannot even open his mouth, he was sent to continue antibiotic treatment at home, today he saw his head doctor and told us that It was very bad and in fact it is added again, I did not like it at all. I wish I never had to go back there, her room was the 437 window, she asked for lunch for me and the nurses did not order it, there is only one assistant girl named Wendy who in the midst of all that evil Attention it was like an angel treated my dad so affectionately that I can't help recognizing him,

What an amazing and painless experience thank you so much to the Doctors and the nurses that helped me along this wonderful and beautiful journey that is bringing another life to this world. A very special thanks to Joesi Lage, Caty Carcamo, Dr. Marimon & Dr. Miraz for all the care and attention and more importantly patience with me.

My grandmother suffers from Alzheimer's and I took her here because she fell so she can get the care that she needed and they wanted to prescribe her medication but I refused for them to give them it to her. I even talked to the nurse and doctor about it. However, they refused to listen to me and the nurse twice in a row gave her that medication. Even since then my grandma can't walk any more due to the side effects of the medication.

Due to a fall I was transported by Fire Rescue to Kendall Regional last month, August. This was my first time being in this hospital. The emergency room doctors and nurses were great. I wound up having surgery on my arm and had to say 3 nights in the hospital. The surgeon, doctors, nurses, everyone were awesome. I am now having therapy at Kendall Regional and the therapists/staff are wonderful, attentive, pleasant and very caring.

I had a quiet complicated surgery at the KRMC, staying one day for recovery. I'm very satisfied with the care received during that period of time. Kenia, the nurse in charged of my care was outstanding. I'm please to recognize her professional job and commitment.

Kendall Regional Hospital is amazing, from plenty of free parking, always immaculately clean and it's staff is genuinely courteous. Just had shoulder surgery every was really nice and helpful, shout-out to Yosnier, Evelyn, Ruth and Ada the nurses who took great care of me. Dr. Matthew Clarke, Orthopedic Surgeon, is caring compassionate and outstanding . Thank you to all who were there. You guys are awesome. Thank you, again, sincerely for taking care of us

Gentlemen these is a lack of respect for patients, first of all they will treat visitors and patients like an inmate. A stranger frisked as they were entering a lethal weapon or as if we were terrorists, the people, the guards and the employees please with very little education, we have been all night, early in the morning in a corridor as a third world hospital, my Last experience here, no more ...! is to vote your money and your blood pressure does not take well, and the doctor only once has passed, they have taken blood tests three times because it is not enough and they have not been able to take the vein exactly

I found this hospital excellent. It's always clean and secure. With a lot of doctors and nurses with good attitude and service... except for the nurse in emergency how are dedicated to be cruel and delate every thing

My sister in law was brought by ambulance to this ...

My sister in law was brought by ambulance to this hospital. She was told she would need a very risky surgery. The family asked to move her to a different hospital that specializes in what she needs. Once we verbally asked, the doctor never came to speak to us at all. The nurse just keeps saying we need to talk to the doctor. I walked the hospital trying to find anyone that works here. There is no one. They said they only gave one social worker and she is no where. When I finally did find someone they rudely gave me an extension to call and pointed to a phone on the desk. I had to discuss matters of life and death over a phone in a hospital. I am shocked. Discussed. Saddened. Human life should mean more.

The Cardiologist and Anesthetist, the Nurses and very professional and attentive assistants. SUPER GOOD. (ECHO procedure)
The Hospital Service a DISASTER. Initially there were 2 nurses and they left only one without an assistant. With patient discharges, preparing for other procedures, changing bedding etc. When she asked to bring something to take the first 2 patients who had finished the procedure that they had to take something before leaving, the kitchen said she could NOT send anything because the breakfast schedule was closed and lunch had not started and that NO They had no one.
And who cared about the patients, only the nurse?
I think they should see how they distribute the staff and the most important

Really disappointed with the service , I been waiting for almost 3 hours for an update about my mother in law surgery and no one has informed me anything , else I went to the bathroom in the second floor around 12pm and is already 6:54 pm and all the bathrooms are super dirty and we have already told the staff and they have not take care.

Kendall Burn Center

we were there with my daughter. the staff was great! Elenia was hands on and patient. the staff at the burn center was fantastic. thank you for making a horrible experience better!

I've heard this hospital's staff is awfully terrible. You hear all this crazy stories that have happened to patients here! For example having the wrong leg amputated! How the heck does that even happen.. do they only accept the stupid nurses? I don't like passing by this hospital also because there was a suicide at the parking garage that occurred earlier last year of a young man. I hope whoever got to him actually tried saving him if it was possible. Avoid this place.. If you can.

All the nurses and Doctors (if i can called that) is rude, no english at all. The hospital is dirty and there is no attention with the pacients or family. Hate my experience here and hope not to come back.

Terrible care of nurses with newly operated patients. It's an abuse
They leave the patient in bed without anyone can help him to go to the bathroom, and do not bring him food. The patient left the surgery and no nurse has passed to see how it is, it is 11:00 at night and no food has been given.
It is in terrible condition.

SURVIVAL GUIDE - While I admire the dedication it ...

SURVIVAL GUIDE - While I admire the dedication it takes to work in such an environment, the apparently understaffed system is NOT working well for them. THE FOLLOWING IS BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE AND IN MY OPINION-
Action Recommendations:
1) Ask a lot of questions up front ask to see results
2) Once you are deemed not critical - consider leaving to go elsewhere for any treatments
3) Despite their insistence to the contrary and unless you are a mental patient - you have every right to request release and you do not need to wait to speak to any doctor. Go get your assigned RN and start the process.
4) Do not just wait, go ask for things often at the nurses/drs station. Demand servicing.

Our collective experience entailed friendly ambivalent staff without much action. They do their rounds and smile a lot but speak in general terms with no commitments. Got to the Hosp In ambulance and once determined that it was not critical, you sat in ER hallway waiting for a room that would come (if ever) many hours later. During this time you are not hooked up to any monitoring what so ever. Staff will come by randomly, give confusing options. Finally after many hours of little to no results, decided to leave. That request was not taken well and took longer than it shd have to process paperwork. This was once a decent hospital and hope they get better. I have read far too many complaints about the same issues I encountered to chuck it off as a one-time thing. No doubt management will reach out but my advise is to hire a couple of service consultants to do their rounds and observe the environment. In meantime while i have no choice but to end up there in emergencies, will be very vigilant and demanding of service/results.

STAY AWAY, I WENT INTO SURGERY ON jULY6 FOR SUGERY, they took my two rings off worth 11,000 when I came out of surgery and asked for my jewelry back. they told me that they had already given it back to me, so you give back$11,000 worth of jewelry while a person is coming out of surgery when they don't even know what is going on. I have filed a lawsuit against the hospital for theft of my wedding ring. WARNING WARNING WARNING IF YOU WANT YOUR JERWELRY BACK MAKE SURE THAT YOU GIVE IT TO A LOVED ONE. BY THE WAY NO ONE SPEAKS ENGLISH.

Auto accident, hospital ran tests and seemed were OK. Still need an MRI of neck. We have to wait for 20 patients ahead of us for 1 MRI machine. Been waiting for close to 24 hours, OVERCROWDED does not describe this hell hole. Still waiting in the hallways!!! No rooms available. Tell the ambulance NOT KENDALL REGIONAL Or you ll jump off!!!!
Kendall Regional gets 1 star because I could not go lower.
And the punch line of this joke..., the bill will be in the mail before you step outside the hospital.

Above all else, we are committed to care and improvement of human life. This is the hospitals mission statement and the staff lived by these words during the procedure I had done today at Kendall Regional Medical Center. All the nurses, nurse techs, and doctors were professional and genuinely cared about my wellbeing. Libby, Bertfred, and Omar eased my anxiety by conversation and assurances. My hat goes off to all of them for being such a great and awesome team. Thank you so much for your great work.

I loved my doctor and staff at the Burn center and the same as well for the pre op department, but staying in the hospital, the care was one of the worst experiences I have ever had!!!! I have had 64 surgeries in the past 58 years and never been treated the way I was during my 8 day stay in the hospital.

I came to hospital with my hemoglobin 4.9 it took 11.5 hours to get blood transfusion, blood was at the emergency room, but not well experience for hard stick people, I was brought to my room and it was like I didn t exist, there was so much confusion , the blood bank didn t want to give the blood because emergency room sent false info, they said that they infused blood for 3.5 hours, they didn t sent report to upstairs
Meanwhile my hemoglobin kept going down... I was scared of cardiac arrest, decided to find another hospital, the floor director promised that everything was going to be ready ASAP, finally I got the blood, what and ordeal, next day, hardly anyone has come to check on me, no cleaning the room either, basically I am a pretty ease going person, but will never come back nor recommend this hospital.

If you care for your loved ones I would recommend you research this place with care. As many in South Florida would tell you this hospital lacks humanity, and compassion. They only care about stabilizing a person charging as much as possible to their insurance with no actual aftercare plans or even insructions when discharging.

Horrible service and very rude to patients. My sister, who is 71 years old went in with the rescue a week ago with a bad asma attack, now has neumonia and infection in her kidneys. She can't get off bed so she has yo do her body funtions on bed. The nurses don't remove and change her for hours after she is done and calls the nurses. Extremely bad hospital, save your family and yourselves from suffering more because this hospital bad service.

I arrived by ambulance to ER - the Dr s and Nurses were extremely attentive and caring. They explained what was going on step by step. The consulting physicians arrived in a timely manner to assess my condition and speak to the team. They were able to identify a treatment plan while they evaluated my condition further. Not only was I pleased with the staff in the ER, but I was extremely pleased with my treatment and care while in ICU. It was clear that the Dr s and Nurses communicated with one another in between shifts. The physician that performed my ablation was so kind and reassuring. His team the day of the procedure were all amazing. They were all male and were extremely respectful, kind and courteous. Despite the number of patients everyone was caring for in the ER and the ICU, I wasn t treated like a number. I was treated like a person. I was transferred from ICU to intermediate care - that experience left a lot to be desired. The treatment wasn t consistent with what I experienced in the ER and ICU. I did appreciate the quick and efficient discharge process. My recommendation is that the level of professionalism remain the same, no matter which part of the Hospital you are in.

My Pope has been many times in this Hospital, he had always had very good attention but on June 8, 2019 he was admitted again and he has touched the room that is not clean, the bathroom the shower does not serve hot water.
When I returned the next morning my Pope was dirty full of urine with a bad smell. Nurse Maylen does not give good attention, you ask her anything and she ignores you, I spent more than an hour waiting for a chair because the chair that was the previous day inside my Pope's room was taken away and the nurse did not want to help me look for one with the excuse that was occupied, when I wanted to help bathe my dad the bathroom was very dirty and full of urine. After this odyssey the nurse Maylen sent me to fix the hospital bed as if I were a service girl with that freshness that characterizes this nurse!
I never thought that my Pope would give him such bad attention, the third floor needs deep cleaning and better nurse !!!!

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible!!! THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD AT A HOSPITAL AND I'M NOT EVEN A PATIENT. The staff is incredibly disrespectful. All they are doing is talking really loud to each other and taking for ever for the smallest things. We were awoken to start surgery at 7am and it's now 8:24am. The nurse finally came in to tell us that we can lay down because someone was before. And then we were never even on the list for the surgery and this was scheduled two days ago. Everyone barely speaks English. We lack the bare necessities and they make us feel as if we're irritating them for asking for a sheet. My sister has second degree burns on the back of her legs. We've been here since Saturday night and it's now Monday morning. We were told to change her bandages twice a day. Since we've been here they've been APPLIED once. Ughhh I'm so ready to go home.

This is one of the worst experiences of my life...the parking is literally impossible...people driving desperately in either direction in order to secure a parking slot...in other words a free for all...this is very dangerous in many ways...no attendandants present to supervise this madness...only one garage facility for visitors and the hospital staff( these are many) use the same facility...i drove around for over an hour and was unable to park...in my previous visits i noticed that visitors lobby is also being used as a cafeteria seating area including many members of the hospital staff giving a third world country aspect to this institution. Frankly, i am extremely dissapointed in the management of this institution. It's literally un american!!

My mother's name is Grisca Buchillon. She was admitted about two weeks ago with complications from an UTI resistant to many antibiotics an uncontrolled BP and a possible malfunction of a VP shunt in her brain. My mother is also in the early stages of Alzheimer which I know make her a difficult patient to handle. My experience at the Hospital was excellent. Since the first moment we got to ER all staff (front desk, nurses, X Rays, CT scan Technicians, Doctors, porters) were prompt, diligent, caring and very professional with my mother. Later, my mother was transferred to the 4th floor where she stayed for 5 days. Unfortunately I don"t remember the names of all nurses, Techs, doctors and other team members, but I want to congratulate all of them for a superb service and for their kindness. I can not thank them enough for making my mother stay as comfortable as they could and for the care they all showed. I had the opportunity to talk to Floor Manager Dawn who was also very attentive at all times. I told Dawn how grateful I was to all her wonderful staff and how they made the difference. I think is fair to comment when things went right, but specially during this hard times when theses wonderful professionals are risking their own lives to safe ours!

If you have the option to choose a different hospital or transfer DO IT

The worst hospital I've ever been to in my life. Car accident, huge impalement into my rear end from car seat, metal fragments inside of me, was forced to do a cat scan against my will via baker act ( they can involuntarily hospitalize you if you refuse treatment or request a transfer ).

After their "procedure" to flush out the metal piece, me being in agonizing pain, unable to get up from bed, and having to struggle painfully to pee in a bottle for the first 2 days paired with mentally unstable people and heavy drug users, limited visiting hours (1 hour 3 times per day at different times), unable to use personal belongings (cell phone), and a psychiatrist literally coming into my room talking to the room mate, and ignoring me- puts on paper that i need to go to a psych ward without ever actually evaluating me. On the third day they had to do another $5000 cat scan to ensure there were no more fragments inside of me.

Four long days finally pass and thankfully my parents were able to talk to one of the psychiatrists (after waiting there from 7am to 8pm) to lift the baker act. Which I am eternally grateful for and got transferred to a normal room at 1am. 7-8 hours later, I am told there is still a metal fragment inside of me. What? How? Now I am being told the best decision is to leave it inside me? How did they miss this? After enough research although initially I thought about getting rid of it immediately, I decided to leave it inside simply due to the complete disorganization and incompetence of this hospital. Suffering another 4-5 days was simply not an option for me financially or mentally even without the baker act. This is easily the most disorganized, non team-work oriented, rudest, incompetent, and lack of a sense of urgency from the staff, at an establishment I have ever experienced, and it's a hospital.

So now that I am discharged and after giving me painkillers the whole time I was there I was prescribed over the counter tylenol. What? No doctors spoke to me, guided or directed me as to what to do afterwards and left me at high-risk. I was told at the discharge center to call these offices to get more information and it seems like no matter who I call no one can answer my questions or direct me to some one that can.

So here I am after a near death experience in agonizing pain, on my own bed, seeking a physical therapist to evaluate me since that apparently wasn't done.

Now the staff.. I could go into detail forever but calling a nurse assist and having them say "sure i'll tell your nurse" whether you ask for water or you are in drastic pain and need medication should say enough about them. Especially when they go back outside and gossip or go on their cell phones.

This would have been a 1 star review but I must say very few nurses were exceptionally phenomenal and CLEARLY cared about their patients well-being as well as their non-patients. These people went above and beyond when other nurses would not. This is what I would like to believe people originally went into the medical field for, TO HELP PEOPLE NOT TO ROB THEIR INSURANCE.

Thank you so much D.K., Meecko (sp?), Madeline, and others whose names I didn't catch. If only the rest of the staff could be like these people the hospital would be a better place.

Whoever the C.E.O. is you need to seriously re-evaluate this hospital if you actually care about peoples' lives.
