First they identified themselves informed me why they were at my home and what they needed to do. Before coming inside they covered their shoes put down drop cloth through the section of the house where they were going to be walking and working. And after completing their job they cleaned up everything and all the bad material they took it away.

Katy area - Used John Moore for the first time to unclog my kitchen drain. Spent about 10-15 minutes using a snake (ran twice) and camera (ran once) he made comments that it was grease clogging the drain about 25 ft down. His remedy - we need to re-route your drainpipe and that would cost about $999.99. For a freaking grease clog. Really?? I told him I was going to discuss with my father, that I didn t know enough about plumbing to make a call like that. He said, are you gonna trust a plumber or your dad, and, I just explained the problem. When I asked him to try the snake again he said, I m not gonna sit here all day trying to clean a drain for $99. Huh? That s a service the company you work for provides! You know, so you can earn a paycheck!? You were at my house all of 30 min! Totally dissatisfied with his pure lack of effort and horrible customer service skills. Only reason I didn t give 1 star is he ended up not charging me. I d like to see the report he filled out to turn into the office.

James was professional and helpful in explaining to us exactly what was needed for our HVAC system. He showed us the old parts vs the new parts. He was patient with our questions and the epitome of 150% professionalism.
Started out great, but went down hill from there. Had problems with our A/C, the repairman gave us several options from just fixing the current problem to a whole new set-up. Since our units were pretty old we chose to replace it all. The next day they came, stayed 12+hours, still didn't finish and now they want more money to complete the work. I totally feel scammed. If I could give a negative star I would. Still trying to get someone in charge to return my phone calls.
FOLLOW UP - After this post I quickly received a phone call & after several calls they finally agreed to fix their mistake. Thanks to Leonard, we no longer have a fire hazard in our attic & we are almost complete on the new HVAC system. Sad it took negative reviews to get a problem corrected, but just glad it is finally being done.
A WEEK LATER - I can officially say I HATE my new A/C and I HATE the NEST thermostat!!!!!!

We have a 21/2 year old and we are having humidity issues in one room upstairs. Alex came and looked at the problem, fixed it, and gave us suggestions on how we can control smells, germs, and protection of the ac coils.

We called them to help with termites in the yard. The technician arrived in time, checked all risky spots, provided clear instructions on how to prevent termites attack and left without even taking money that we proposed.

Twice i used this company to come inspect my AC. The same 300 lb guy came out and i felt like he almost broke my ladder and attic from his weight. I felt anxiety the whole time. He moped around real slow like he hated life. People like this, I don't feel very confident they do the job correct and will just do shortcuts.

I called John Moore to set up a quote for installation of a storm door and getting new flooring done in my living room. The operator I spoke with was friendly and very helpful, she is the reason I gave the 2 stars otherwise I would give one star. The guy came out the next day and we talked about the work I wanted done. He did not take measurements of the room or of the place where the storm door would be installed. He keep asking what was the prices of other quotes I received but I never told him. I asked him if he needed to take measurements & he said, no he has a good eye for these things. Then he goes outside to his truck I assume then comes back in with an OUTRAGEOUS price for the storm door & floors. I had so many questions about this arbitrary number that did not have a detailed breakdown of pricing like what kind of door am I getting, etc.
How in the hell is one storm door and one room total over $7,000 and these does NOT include materials (which I would have to purchase separately)
I was very disappointed in the renovation salesperson that came to my home. I expected better service than this. We were ready to schedule the work that day if we liked what John Moore had to offer but that didn't happen.

Mr. Garcia was a courteous, and respectful tech who did his job efficiently and timely. He was well-organized and competent. Explained what he would be during prior to the job and and what concerns he had during the job.
Had a Kitchen GFI Failure Thanksgiving morning. Was unable to reset. Expensive call that required upfront payment. Electrician promised for between noon and 4 p.m. He called and arrived earlier. Very professional the upfront payment was deducted from the service call so no complaint on my part. The service technician was very thorough and stopped other potential problems.
Terry installed by HVAC unit in 2012. He returned to do an inspection of the unit and demonstrated again, his technical competence and helpfulness in explaining to me the issues in layman terms to help me understand. Terry also provided good preventative maintenance advice for my consideration to ensure my system continues to work well. Terry has great customer service and I was glad that he is still the technician who is assigned to my home.

Cons: Cost of service was above market area average. More annoying is this companies practice in having their techs sell maintenance programs above and beyond the needed repairs. I have had this experience a few times with field techs. . I want my problem fixed, not a salesman to push maintenance plans. Tech didn t think he was able to fix the problem on first visit and had to come back.

I had John Moore come and inspect our HVAC system because the warranty company for the landlord couldn't figure out the problem. Only was very professional and found the problems almost immediately. I'm pretty disappointed. We used to rely on John Moore for everything. Their pricing has gone up tremendously, and the last estimate we received was about 4X's more expensive than other comparable companies. Quality and integrity has been replaced by price gouging. Hopefully they shift their focus and go back to being a dependable company with great value.
