I signed my son up for the planting kit they were giving out. It came like 2 days later and my son was so excited! He had no idea it was coming and now all he wants to do is plant everything and anything!! It s so awesome to see him excited like this! Thank you for making my son s day. Alex couldn't have been better. He was informative, polite and helpful. He explained my options very carefully and fully. He even moved boxes for me so I wouldn't have to go in the attic and clear stored items out of the way for the work to begin tomorrow.

John Moore plumbing charged $250 to come out and do substandard job to clear my pipes. The plumber seemed more interested in up selling me than fixing the problem. He said that I had a tree root problem without any evidence and said their work couldn't be guaranteed because of the alleged tree roots. The problem was not fixed but they still charged $250 and said I would need to pay more to have a proper clean out. He didn't even use a tree root cutter nor did he find any evidence of tree roots. I hired Fetus Plumbing out of Dayton and they used a bigger machine that went through to the next clean out plug as the John Moore plumber should have done. They solved the problem and found no evidence of tree roots, just a clog. They only charged $130 and fixed the problem in 30 minutes. Call John,..pay more!

I will never use John Moore ever. I have seen their commercials on TV and just always assumed that they were an amazing company but after this experience I will never use them again especially if they cannot even do the simplest task. I got them to come out and do an inspection on my ac. Then as soon as their employee left our ac was blowing hot air. Keep in mind that my air was working fine before their employee got to our house. So then the ac starts blowing hot air and my husband is not sure what s going on. He knew our ac was working fine. So he had to go out in this heat and it s 90 something degrees outside and we r not youngsters. He had to go take the ac apart to find out what s going on and apparently the wires to the capacitor were not connected right and were very loose. That is why the ac was not working. If their employee cannot even put wires back on a capacitor then I will definitely question major things. Plus I still paid them. Unbelievable. Never again. Please be very careful using this company and I would double check their work. Before they leave your house and don t sign anything until you do.

We discovered a leaking faucet outside on our second floor patio Sunday evening. It was stripped and wouldn t shut off. I called the company at 7:15 Monday morning and their plumber Miguel S. was able to get to our house by 10:30 and replace the bad faucet. He had been to our home before and did a great job replacing the faucet. He was very helpful on turning off the water to the house and very professional. Everything went very well and we are extremely pleased with John Moore s service and their people. I highly recommend them.

We called John Moore to come out and look at our AC because they offered free estimates. The tech told us our breaker was fried and that our compressor was "totally grounded out". He said he tried replacing the capacitor but it wouldn't start and that we needed a whole new system. (He said his manager wouldn't let him replace just the compressor... no I needed the works Lol) Quoted me around $5000 for all the work. Offered me a line of credit and everything. I felt it was more of a sales pitch than an honest technical diagnosis. I told him I would need a second opinion and Id get back if I wanted to proceed. I called a high ranking company off Angie's list (John Moore is NOT by the way). They came out, replaced a capacitor and all was well. Breaker was fine, compressor wasn't grounded out. $250 and no bs sales pitch. I told the tech I had tried John Moore... he said "Let me guess, they tried to get you to replace the WHOLE system, right?". I am really glad I followed my instincts and didn't let John Moore gouge me. Beware and get a second opinion.

I m continually impressed with John Moore and the professionalism its employees consistently exhibit while performing the services they provide. It s clear each employee is an expert in his field because they re always capable of answering my questions and completing their assignments with self-assured certainty, without hesitation, and in the most efficient manner. It also personally means a lot to me that the employees at least all the persons I ve encountered are not only professional, but kind and respectful. I never feel as though they re talking down to me because they think a concept is beyond my comprehension, or that they re bothered by my extensive questioning. My input has never been dismissed by them, which is critical to me because when I invite anyone into my home it s crucial that they demonstrate respect toward me as well as everyone else present in my home, and they accomplish this with excellence because my concerns/questions/input are always taken seriously. They re always straightforward and transparent about the cost of the work they complete, as evidenced by their itemized estimates. Only time will tell, how well the unit works, but since they offer the 10 year warranty on parts, I hope that John Moore will be good on their word, if something does happen in the future. Our drain was clogged in the shower and could not be fixed with our usual home remedies. John Moore sent a very friendly plumber out to snake the drain, and before he did anything he was upfront about the prices and let us know what he was going to try first and how much it would cost. He then let us know how much more it would cost if that didn't work, but it turned out that the lowest price option method cleared the drain. We definitely could not have done it ourselves and it was well worth the money. I would definitely call them again if I had a similar problem in the future.

We had some electrical work done through John Moore. The experience from begining to end was amazing and they explain everything before hand so it is an easy process. On the 1st day of starting the job, Daniel Wheeler came out and did what was expected and explained. We did run into an issue when turning the electricity back on but, Daniel and John Moore helped us through the issues and got everything where it needed to be. There was 1 more day of work to be done but it was delayed due to Hurricane Harvey coming on land. As bad as the weather was and everyone worrying about their own issues, Daniel Wheeler took time to check on things here and let me know if and when the would be out to finish everything. I highly recommend John Moore and will be requesting Daniel the next time I need their services. Thank you for making this an easy process.

I am friends with a 72-yr old man, Bob, who had a pipe in his attic that started leaking on July 3rd. When he turned the AC off, the leak stopped. He called John Moore on July 5th and their salesman, Jason Hendrix, came out a few days later. He sold Bob a Goodman 2.0 ton, 14 SEER HVAC unit for $7,200, which was not installed until July 17th. This unit, with installation, should normally cost ~$2,500, but I am more upset with how dishonest the John Moore employees were. The pipe began leaking again on August 7th, so Bob turned his AC off again and called them back. They sent a plumber on August 8th who blew air through the pipe and charged Bob another $400. They have since refunded the $400. However, 3 days later, on August 11th, the pipe started leaking again. At this point I went to Bob's home because I did not want him to be swindled by JM again. JM sent the guy who installed the AC. When he arrived, he immediately admitted that, when he installed the $7,200 AC, he knew the only problem was that the pipe needed to be replaced. However, he insisted that he would have been fired if he had pointed out the discrepancy and lost the sale. So, instead of replacing a pipe for $500, JM sold Bob a $7,200 AC, and Bob was still without cool air for most of the last 30-days. When Bob contacted JM to ask about a refund and complain about their dishonest salesman and installer, their only response was that Bob should have done a better job of maintaining the equipment in his attic. I strongly discourage anyone from calling JM.

Tony N custom built a high quality kitchen countertop to replace an original tile countertop in a home built in 1955. On a Tuesday he made extensive measurements in the home. On Wednesday he constructed the countertop in the company shop using quality wood and laminate. On Thursday Tony set the new countertop in place, making adjustments as needed, then fastened and sealed it, completing the job that day.

Tony demonstrated a high level of professionalism in his approach to working in someone's home, such as protective covering of furnishings and floors adjacent to the work area.

As an engineer I can relate to his attention to detail. Tony's work reflected the skills of a highly qualified and experienced craftsman. The planning and execution of this job were thoughtful and precise.

John Moore was responsive and very helpful. The job took longer than we thought it would and we had to replace a thermostat as well as the part mentioned before. we also had to run a new wire from the a/c unit inside to the outside. All is well and the tech. though young was most helpful and professional. He called for advise whenever he could not immediately figure out the problem.

Refused to take the old toilet with them, eventhough the website states that they will take the old toilet and recycle it. I was charged $900 for a job that was never done. The technician LIED! After it was brought to JM attention, they finally credited the Old Union account $450. Uuuuuh, $900 was charged. Where is the other $450? It's over TWO YEARS NOW (Today is 12/29/17) and after going back and forth, them calling my job leaving messages with the secretary (co-workers joking...OH ! They want THEIR money now) I stopped paying when the account was at approximately what THEY never took off. Well, JM finally, aaaall of this decided to "look into it" and of course QUESTION me. Why would I be dishonest about this? You already see you guys credited the account a few years ago...HALF! If a waiter brings your check to you with an extra meal on it, you expect the ENTIRE AMOUNT to come off, not HALF. SO, I thought we were getting somewhere finally, 12/18/17, when Liz called me, AGAIN (short version of convo) inquiring about the payment because she said Old Union and John Moore are separate, and we still owe them. Ok, but you know we are in the middle of getting the account situated. I'm a customer. I'm not the one accountable for you alls mistakes. JM and OU were made aware of this concern years ago. Finally, I was told BOTH late charges would be dropped. Ok. Thank you. Well, JM just had sent a refund check (thank you) so I could pay off Old Union. I feel they should have just credited the OU account like they did a couple of years ago. I told Liz, 12/18/17 that we will be sending that balance payment now (amount stated without the two late fees). Called my husband immediately to give update. I THOUGHT everything was fine now and we would soon be finished this situation. Why the SAAAME evening 12/18/17 OLD UNION's credit report made a hit on credit report... negative. I called back and left a message. It was after hours. Trust me, I have no problem talking to someone directly. But, this is DIRTY and I have lost ALL respect for both companies. I asked, why would you guys file a report like this, knowing the account was in an active dispute, BEING RESOLVED? Now, I've gotten a call from someone else, Paul I think. Well, I was too upset to talk to anyone at either place (they are together) earlier this week. After I post this, I'll be calling. In messenge I told them I wanted an email (letter takes too long) STATING 1. my balance without the extra charges 2. and that the account will be $0.00 balance after it is received 3. and that it will be reported to the credit bureau immediately. Today is 12/29/17. WHEN this is resolved, I'll let you all know. Thank God, you all whom have NOT experienced this. I do know not everyone experience mishaps!

Mr Troy Gallow arrived to my residence as scheduled, presented his identification, business card and was very professional.

What I am most definitely happy with is out of all the technicians Mr. Troy identified the odor and gave me the answer to my sewer smell in my guest bathroom.

I plan on calling back for repairs after I speak with my husband, you know how men are. Please know Mr. Troy Gallow knows his profession in this business. What a relief to finally have someone tell me what this odor is and pen pointed exactly the area that needs addressed.

Had AC installed in September, and they already had to move it once because you couldn't even open the breaker box. Initially they said an electrician would change something about the box, but when questioned about it, they said I didn't need it after all. Fast forward a few months, a wire that was left dangling with only a screw cap came undone. The electrician is out saying it will be $100 to screw it back together, where it will be equally exposed and just as prone to coming unscrewed again. Then they say if I screw it back together myself, that voids the warranty, which is preposterous. And oh, by the way, the AC is still in the wrong place and needs moved again and they DO need to change the breaker box, none of which is covered. As far as I can see, they are out to try and squeeze every last dime you have rather than admit their error.

Our AC went out at the worst time. John Moore responded and Chris came out and helped explain everything. We got credit but what the price quote was, was over our Credit. Chris got the owner to agree to install for our line of Credit, he was very nice and easy to talk with.

We had Edgar and David come out and install our AC. They worked their butts off from 8:30AM to about 10PM. There was an issue and they requested to stay and get some more help to figure out the issue. It was an electrical issue and they bypassed the issue and came back the next day and finished up. Edgar told me he did not want to leave me without ac unless I was gonna kick him out. They were great workers and I appreciated them willing to stay as long as they did. I even told them they could go but they did not want to leave unless I kicked them out. I appreciate people like them who go all out and want to finish the job.

We are very greatful they were able to send someone out on such short notice , not to mention it was late and the weather was terrible.The Technician that arrived Was Michael Shackelford. He was very courtious & professional. We appreciate his honesty and attention to detail about the work that needed to be accomplished. I highly recommend this company, if you need any home fixtures they offer done , and ask for Michael , he's an honest strait shooter and knows his business ! Thank you !!!

John Moore showed up on time and the tech was professional. The tech evaluated the problem and offered several options. I went with the option to replace my hot water heater and an appointment was set for first thing the following morning. So far I m very pleased!

**Update**
The installers for my water heater arrived at 0930 on an 8-10 window and got right to work. Justin was the plumber in charge and after about 2 hours he informed me that the shop had loaded the wrong water heater on the truck and they were waiting on the correct one to arrive. Long story short, they got the correct water heater installed, cleaned up their mess (which was minimal) and was ready to leave. My only complaint would be that they did not offer to show me the install. I checked on the work that was done and signed off on the paperwork. Everyone that I dealt with in this company was courteous, polite and professional. They were a little pricey in my opinion, but you get what you pay for. I would recommend John Moore.

BUYER BEWARE! Be sure to read the negative reviews because they are exactly what I experienced. I am a Marketing professional and they are clearly burying their negative reviews with false positives.
~~The technician came out, removed the bathroom p-trap and did one clean-out, in the kitchen he knocked out a plug in the garbage disposal. This took about 25 minutes of time and the bill was $440. ~~The invoice I received was the original quote which sounded like several hours worth of work. They did not even perform half the amount of work they listed on the invoice. When I called to complain they did refund the 2nd clean-out charge of $69. ~~The customer service representative Korrie Sam told my husband, "I guess you do not want to pay for anything." My husband commented that he wanted to pay what was fair.~~
We will never call this company again or recommend their services. It is a shame that companies take advantage of people like this.
