I made an initial call on Friday morning to have my unit evaluated. I did not expect same day service! A 4-8 pm, window appointment was made. A call from the tech was received @ 2:30 for a 3:30-4:00 arrival - pulling into my drive @ 3:30 - the tech was waiting. Wow, right on time! He was kind enough to wait a few minutes so I could feed and relocate my cats to the catio .

He immediately begin to evaluate my thermostat, attic & outside unit. All units are new, installed only 8 months ago. it was determined that both units were leaking Freon.
Having paid $6,000 for installation (independent business) I was informed that the units are cheap, unreliable, and usually start to malfunction in several years. A repair cost for now, is about $4,000. I have options, and with John Moore s professional evaluation, I ll make a decision.

Technician was very professional He repaired a leak to pass inspection for repiping job. He went out of his way to answer any questions we had. A very outstanding representative for John Moore.

10/22/2020 Nelson Pena came out and replaced bath wall tile that had to be removed during a repiping project in our entire house. From the time he entered our home until he finished the job, he was very professional and did an excellent job installing the tile. He was able to address our questions and concerns. I highly recommend John Moore. A very big job near completion.

10/27/20 Jaime Centeno came out & did a furnace check up. He was very thorough & went over the check with me. He was very professional & represented John Moore very well. I will not hesitate to request him for any HAVAC needs.

11/11/20- Hunter came out & found the leak to be at the toilet & drain pipe. Will have an install team come out & install new drain pipe & reset the toilet. He was very helpful & professional. He was able to answer all of our questions Highly recommend John Moore.

11/12/20- Khalil Grier came out today with a helper and was very courteous and professional. He completed the job in a timely fashion replacing a toilet leaking around the flange & seals. and made sure that everything was completed to our satisfaction.

worst service ever. Estimator lied about cost of toilet, even knowing the toilet would not fit, as explained during visit, you still failed to measure for yourself and still knowing this toilet would not fit without doing a remodel of the bathroom you installed the bowl anyhow! Then gave me options for remodeling the bathroom. Then you left for 2 weeks I did not hear back after multiple calls. Finally a complaint email was answered however it was backward, I WANTED YOU TO COME PICK UP YOUR TOILET AND LEAVE AGREEING TO PAY 200.00 FOR INSTALLING THE WATER CUT OFF VALVE NOT FOR YOU TO GIVE ME 200.00 AND LEAVE ME WITH A TOILET THAT DOES NOT WORK AND COSTS ME 900.00! YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and what do you think I'll be saying on yelp and Facebook and everyone I know when it comes to your services. You lie and stealYou should be ashamed of yourself. I've trie so hard to work this matter out and I can't even get a phone call removed!

I called John Moore Services at 8:00 AM to address some non-critical plumbing issues. They scheduled an appointment between 10:00 and 2:00 that same day. Robert W. called me at 10:30 to let me know he would arrive between 11:00 and 11:15. Robert arrived exactly when he stated. He was professional and courteous. He informed me of my options. He kept me abreast of his progress and explained the issues with my leaking kitchen sink and my bathroom sink. He checked his work multiple times to assure he fixed all issues. He was so thorough that he caught issues that I didn't notice. Thank you Robert W. and John Moore Services.

I am so happy I callEd John Moore because I got to know Fred! Fred and his assistant arrived right on time, and they were marvelous! They got right to work on my fireplace and found the problem. Moreover, they were Very pleasant and, of course, polite. I m glad that Fred left his card because I will be sure to call for him again if I have any other plumbing or repair needs. Thanks so much Fred and John Moore!

My A/C went out recently, in the middle of the Houston summer, on the 4th of July. I called John Moore, and their technicians were available even on a holiday weekend. They were very pleasant, but after calling out an area supervisor and repeating a "full inspection", they decided that I needed a completely new A/C system, and offered to install it the next day for $12K.

I was literally speechless when I heard the cost. I asked for a breakdown for cost of equipment, labor, and warranties - they refused. They continued to pressure me, and even after the technicians left, they called their "CEO", who instructed them to go back and make an offer for $8K - again of course with no cost breakdown.

Perhaps they thought I was desperate because I have a newborn at home (admittedly I was a little bit), and they certainly thought I didn't know any better. But I've now had the A/C repaired for less than a tenth of the price they offered, and now understand why they were so persistent - as soon as I got another estimate, I would realize how bad they were trying to cheat me.

I wouldn't hire them to fix a leaky faucet, let alone hire them for a major home repair.

Fred C Has been to our home last year to helped with some major plumbing issues. During that time and Today, Fred C is a wonderful person and a professional in every way. Fred C takes the time to answer any questions that we have and further takes the time to explain to us what the problem is and the best way to fix the problem. Fred C has always been kind and understanding to our concerns.. Fred C is the standard that All other service technicians should strive to immulate. For future issues if any I will call and request Fred C as the technician, even if we have to wait, given the situation will allow.. Thank-you Fred VERY MUCH

Abel, John Moore's employee ,was on time and very professional. I called the service to initially have my 15 year old water checked and possible flushed as is recommended. After Abel ,going over the water hearer, he did find several concerns. Brought them to my attention and what the repair cost could run if were done. At this time minimum amt. of work was done today, but will plan to contact John Moore Services (most likely) within the next several months for work, needed, to be done. Appreciated that Abel was able to explain concerns and what could be done for what. Trusting John Moore Service on this matter, I do intend to try and follow up on this need.

We just had Anthony Taylor come to unclog our kitchen sink. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and did a great job! Y all seem to just hire the best! Once again, John Moore gave us professional service at a reasonable price!

I had a tech come to my residence for a yearly check up on my 6 year old A/C unit on June 1, 2019. I was advise that my outside unit was leaking. He added freon and sent a quote for $6,699.99 to repair the leak. On the same day he was sent to my rental property to check a 15 year old unit and everything checked out fine with no required work.
July 13th, same tech was sent to my rental property because the A/C was running not working. The tech advised the unit air handler needed to be replace and the A/C was leaking and needed to be replaced as well. A quote was sent for $16,119.93.

It is always recommended to get a second opinion, therefore I had another A/C professional come by my rental property. To my surprise, it was the capacitor on the air handler that needed to be replaced. Worried about this leak at my residence, I asked this same tech to come by and check that. No leak was found and A/C is running properly.

Please get second opinions. Needless to say, John Moore will not be one of my choices.

Scam artists...they use scare tactics and try to sell a lot of things that you don't need! They also overcharge...very unprofessional. I could have bought an entirely new system for what they quoted me to clean my current system. I called their customer service line and complained about their tactics and they said, "thank you for considering our service. I'd say that their unfair business tactics will probably cost them six figures in other services that I would have utilized. Smart job John Moore....

I was in desperate need of my washing machine valves being replaced so my brand new washing machine (that is sitting in my livingroom) could be connected. John Moore offered the fastest response and I was serviced by Russell. He was so kind and treated me with such respect. I say respect because post Harvey, I have been dealing with a lot of repairman and unfortunately, respect is NOT always part of the exchange. Russell made me feel comfortable and he didn't "man-splain" to me.

I call this morning at 10 and ask when the technician will show up because I have another appointment later. However, the customer service insists my appointment is 10-2. After her checked it and she still insisted my appointment is 10-2, and ask if i want to cancel it. I just say I want to reschedule it but she already hang up. Amazing customer service.......

I can't say enough about the good service from John Moore Services. I called them this morning and the service tech arrived shortly afternoon. Koby listened to my concern, identified the entry points and provided a solution to the issue immediately. As usual he was friendly and provided a detailed explanation of his solution.

After two days of trying to figure out why our AC was not working we called to get someone out to look at it. John Moore Services answered the phone and got us an appointment as soon as possible. Kiel Mire was on time and very professional. He was able to determine the problem promptly and looked over our system to make sure everything was working great. In Texas AC systems are essential! I am very happy with the services and professionalism of this company and Kiel Mire.

The Service Tech Darrell did a great job finding and repairing the issue causing my outside A/C unit to not come on. Through a process of elimination he found the problem was just a loose wire leading to the unit. He had it repaired and up and running again. I would highly recommend John Moore to anyone and will definitely use them for any future issues.

Now the girl who answered my call should be retrained... I tell her what's going on and she asks is this your Address then proceeds to read me my phone number...wait what...I tell her that's my phone she says oh right, then reads off an address that is no where close to mine..when I tell he no that's not my address then she gives the right one.. I asked her where she got that first address from, she just says oh I was looking at something else...
What no, you are talking to me, you should pay attention to me and mine....
John Moore needs to investigate these happening...are us as customers being cheated because some people do not pay attention...

Also after looking at these reviews...I can see that who ever is answering them, will not answer a bad review...will not help someone who has had problems with John Moore.

Since we moved into our new home 8 years ago we ve had little to no air flowing through our back bedroom air vents. I had 4-5 different AC repair companies out to solve the problem. I received ridiculous diagnosis and a repairs that did not work and of course in spite of them not working I had to pay for and no return service to make it right or refunds. I called JM and requested a master tech they sent out Leo Delacerda who took time and accurately diagnosed our problem and dispatched Marvin and Ricardo same day and the job was completed same evening. After 8 years I finally had great air flowing through our air ducts. We did have an issue after they left with duct placement, but Leo came back out right away and scheduled for the technicians to come back next morning and correct the problem. We are so happy we called John Moore Services and will from now on.
