I made an initial call on Friday morning to have my unit evaluated. I did not expect same day service! A 4-8 pm, window appointment was made. A call from the tech was received @ 2:30 for a 3:30-4:00 arrival - pulling into my drive @ 3:30 - the tech was waiting. Wow, right on time! He was kind enough to wait a few minutes so I could feed and relocate my cats to the catio .
He immediately begin to evaluate my thermostat, attic & outside unit. All units are new, installed only 8 months ago. it was determined that both units were leaking Freon.
Having paid $6,000 for installation (independent business) I was informed that the units are cheap, unreliable, and usually start to malfunction in several years. A repair cost for now, is about $4,000. I have options, and with John Moore s professional evaluation, I ll make a decision.
