I did the research, and picked the room that is right for me (2210). Got the best room with views on three sides over the times square area... fantastic. Have a new appreciatation of the city because of the rooms. Had some drinks at the bar, and while the service was slow, the drinks were good and made up for it. Location is great. Everyone seems nice..

Very nice hotel. Front desk staff were very professional and helpful. Room was very nice and clean. One suggestion is to relocate the mounted TV from the dresser to another area as to not block the great views of the city. Bed was very comfortable and bathrooms were big and nicely done. I would definitely return. Be aware that the room drinks / bar are electronically monitored and as soon as you pick it up, you will get charged. So if your just taking a look at a product, dont pick it up. I'm sure they would remove the charge if it was by accident.

This is a very nice, practical and well placed New York City hotel. The service is superb, from checkin to the Ambassador desk, the concierge services are all brilliant. the location right in the heart of the city at Times Square offers great views, the rooms are decorated with taste, and there's a nice restaurant and bar in the lobby. No club lounge which is a shame as it's a retreat for me as I don't drink alcohol or eat very much at all so,it's not about the complimentary f&b it's about a quiet space that is usually high up with a great view, but at the end of the day I had that in my room.
Please make sure you book a room/suite with either Times Square or river view depending if you want activity and bright lights or a vaste over city vista. You will love it. If you join the IHG rewards program you are guaranteed the best possible rate online and they of course have the Ambassador program which has its benefits also. The rooms have great soft plush beds, lovely linens and bathroom amenities which are all top rate. Block out curtains and great airco ensure a good nights rest and sleep in.
Spend some time in the bar and maybe you will meet one of the VIP or stars that normally stay in this hotel. Overall great staff make this a great hotel, and I would recommend it if your in NYC.

Recently stayed 3 nights with mixed experience. Hotel location is perfect for easy walk to most theaters and room was clean, comfortable, and relatively large for NYC. Service was great at the front desk, in the restaurant and bar. Would suggest skipping breakfast service as the food, while plentiful and diverse, is not kept hot or even what I would call warm. Clear much work went into preparation, but if you want a hot breakfast, lots of local options are nearby.
Beware the porters out front if you need a cab, I observed, then experienced them, pushing black car service to airport locations over cabs with their pitch of a flat rate. In my experience, their flat rate is at least 30% higher than cab service to LGA. Once I shared I felt like I was being led to a rip off, they dropped the pitch and secured a cab for me...maybe they are truly looking out for their guests but maybe hotel management could add some credibility to the claim when checking in....disappointed and will not stay again just for this reason...ruined my trust in the brand.

They are scam. They charged me $500 because there is missing stuff but I didn't take anything from the room. They also charged me the parking fee $75.88. but I didn't even bring a car there. I would never have found these wrong charges if I didn't go through my credit card statement. How on earth they mistakenly charge me the wrong parking fee and missing stuff? Please stay away from this property. They can charge you $500 additional fee for no reason. Please your card statement again if you have stayed here. They probably charged you the parking fee even if you didn't have a car.

I look forward each time staying here due to its location, comfort and some of the staff who are very friendly. I've stayed in different rooms through the years and the views are amazing whichever side you're on. It's next to the metro and you have many eateries right at your doorstep. The breakfast quality I think can be improved however and also the attitudes of staff who take down the room number before guiding you to your table.

Ok, I don't give out many 5 star ratings but these folks definitely earned it. The check-in process was quick and friendly, they have a parking deal setup with the lot across the street, who were also friendly and efficient, the concierge was friendly and helpful, the room was very nice, and the location was hard to beat. Yes, it's expensive but it's New York right at Times Square.

Not sure how this hotel rated 4 stars in any capacity. I honestly was so disappointed in the cleanliness and GUEST SERVICE of this location.
Francisco at the Front Desk was THE most hospitable person we encountered. The doormen were great too but not as friendly as they could've or should've been.
The location was great, but that's about it.
The room has 2 inches of dust on everything, there was debris/items from a previous guest under the bed and under the dresser. The keurig coffee maker looked like it hadn't been touched for a year. The shower and bathroom sink had soap scum, toothpaste and coffee spots on it. It was not to any AAA 4 DIAMOND STANDARD AT ALL.
I think the worst part about it all was that the Director of Housekeeiping was notified, saw the room and the discrepancies and it still did not get corrected, nor did I receive a follow up from him after he told
the housekeeper to come back to clean it.
Fransisco even let us look at another room to see if it would be better and it absolutely was not.
Aside from the room, the service at the Stinger Restaurant is repulsive. No greeting for at least 5 min when there was 2 other tables in the restaurant and uneducated, argumentative servers. He didn't know the difference between a lager and an IPA and basically yelled at me when I questioned him. A server of a restaurant in that caliber should be well versed on the different types of beers that they serve.
It's honestly a damn shame that they can still keep their 4 diamond status. I hope that the General Manager and/or Owner rectifies this mess or it will be a rude awakening if/when they get randomly retested for their diamond status. Good thing I don't work for AAA....

I spent 3 nights in this hotel, but later on checking it, I was charged $ 500 which I could not know. I had to call again to confirm, but the manager said that the thing was gone. We did not bring anything, but we could not understand it. I do not want to go to a hotel that lies like this again, and I will let you know that you should avoid this. If you stay here, be careful that you may be taking $ 500 more if you do not even know you have lost or damaged your property.

We had a standard double room- which looked like every other hotel room I ve ever been in (if you ve been in a Holiday Inn, it s pretty much the same). The hotel clerks werent very friendly, though. Also- the refrigerator in the room is locked. I guess you have to ask someone to open it (but we were never told, probably because the clerk checking us in couldn t be bothered with friendliness). There was only 1 outlet near the beds, and it was attached to the lamp, and it didn t work. We had to charge our phones across the room (it was fine, no big, just annoying). We were able to do late checkout, which was nice. But when we signed up for late checkout the front desk clerk didn t seem interested in helping us, and we had to come back later because they hadn t extended our room keys so we couldn t get back in our rooms (which didn t surprise us because the clerk wasn t paying a whole lot of attention when she set it up for us). Honestly everything was clean and fine but we ran into some random annoyances. Nothing major. it definitely wasn t a fantastic experience, but it wasn t bad either.

Nice hotel in a good location, one block from Times Square.
Great rooms, the higher up the better the view over Manhattan. The drinks in the bar are also recommended, very delicious! Staff and service were very friendly and competent. Therefore, everything was great and a very clear recommendation!
A few small notes on the sidelines: If you arrive by car, public parking is next door in the same street and as a hotel guest you get a discount (which is a small treat with the prices for parking in Manhattan). Subway station is right next to the hotel. We have during our stay on the breakfast not included in the price waived because the additional payment was just too high. Better around the corner to the Westway Diner, great breakfasts at reasonable prices in a classic American setting :-)

Good location for most of the sites. Clean and fresh decoration. I requested an upgrade as both me & my friend where celebrating our birthdays. This was done and we also received a bottle of Cava and chocolate covered strawberries which was a nice touch.
Although they had the usual sign up for getting new towels (leave dirty ones in the shower) these were actually changed every day regardlessly. Show less

Rooms and facilities were great, location is obviously great, too. They still owe me $70 for two breakfasts, though. I asked the waiter repeatedly why I had to sign any bill at breakfast if it was settled by my travel agency in advance (I also had that written in my booking everywhere). He was like "oh it's just a formality, we don't have a system to cross-check your booking from here". Like what? "If they (pointing at front desk) see that you have already paid, we won't charge you". I was like, okay, not going to argue over breakfast about that. This turned out to be a lie, a week after I left they charged my credit card. It's so unprofessional, I don't think it's even worth complaining to Intercontinental. I mean if they really don't have a system to check their bookings properly, I ain't going to be the one to help them set it up. I just won't stay at an Intercontinental or any affiliate again, and also told my company to pick any other chain when possible. Breakfast choices were poor, but I mean, I could've just gone out to eat, I only ate there cause it was paid for already.

Stay 5 night. Service desk is absolutly unfriendly, hard and not understanding poeple. Room are pretty quite at 32 floor. Decorating is little old and bathroom furniture has to be repeint. Security in front of the hotel doesn't exist just luggage staff. For a hotel like intercontinental need to upgrade there security at the ground. Location is near a subway door that give to strange poeple opportunity to ask to guest some money or cigarette. New York is a big city and intercontinental time square can think better of the guest security. By the way our stay was great and location of intercontinental time square is very good.

Superb hotel with a magnificent panoramic view, we were on the 36th floor. Pleasant and courteous staff. Price of lunch prohibitive and unnecessary to eat like an ogre for a day of sightseeing. Really close to everything. We will gladly come back to that.
Very comfortable bedding for a restful sleep.
On the other hand, I find it difficult to understand the American standards, recognized for their magnificent king size bed, in a triple room it is rather 2 queen size beds a little small for 2 people

Very nice hotel. Though it was only one nights stay, it was well worth staying here. The rooms are normal size to a regular holiday inn, which is nice in the city. The rooms are spotless, leaving you feeling at home. The bed and pillows are ridiculously comfortable, so dont fall asleep too early. The staff is incredibly pleasant, to the point where I think everyone at least said hi. Easily would stay here again.

Decide to use our Ambassador Complimentary Weekend voucher at InterContinental Times Square. Generally, a pretty pricey hotel, but you can see why. Our upgraded room was very spacious and had a pretty great view, especially at night. The bed might have been the most comfortable at all the hotels I ve stayed at.

I have to say, I am thoroughly disappointed with t...
I have to say, I am thoroughly disappointed with the way the staff handled their admitted mishandling of my wife's reservations. In order to understand this I will have to explain. My wife and daughter were traveling to a concert in Philly. They really wanted to go to NY for the night after the concert. I called and booked a room at this hotel for a room with 2 beds. Then I called their food and beverage dept to have a nice bottle of wine and cheese and fruit platter put in the room for their arrival. When they arrived, at around 1AM, they over sold the rooms with 2 beds. So they had to get my daughter a roll away cot. So not only are they exhausted from the drive but now they have to wait for a cot and then make up the cot with bedding. The hotel also neglected to put the food and wine in their room. So, I am asking, with modern computers, how do you accidentally over sell rooms. Also, after emails going back and forth with the F&B manager to authorize them to charge my card to pre-pay for the food and wine, how does someone, who's job is customer service, not service. I can actually live with those mistakes. What was completely insulting was the way they handled things after I called. They offered them a complimentary 1:00 check out. (who charges for that) and breakfast. Which they were to exhausted to wake up for. I don't want my money back and people make mistakes, but you are judged by how you handle those mistakes. This team not only failed but insulted me in the process.
