Cool place to enjoy live music saw Hair Metal Giants they sounded great

Great neighborhood bar with excellent bands. Nice venue !

Visited here a few times while in Austin. It's a really laid back local place. Plenty of pool tables and cold beer. My colleagues and I had a great time hanging out here.

This is a neighborhood tavern. The staff are not talkative to new folk. Being new in town my roommate and I have been there at least four times and the bartenders nor the patrons have made any effort to get to know us. It's close to our house so we're bummed out

One of the only no-frills dive bars in this area of town. Several pool tables, a couple of dart boards, video gambling, and a decent bottled beer selection.

No draft, but a lot of beer options in cans and bottles, full bar and they make margaritas.

Cool place! They have daily specials. Weds my fave. Service industry discounts. Donation games! Cool live music. Right up my alley!!

Place was dead when i when the outside was poorly lit the sign was out. The inside was nice, I will return Im sure. One big suggestion is to move out some of the tables. They are all crammed together where you have to squeeze though them and one is practically on the dart board lines. If anyone is at that table they block both dart boards!

Best local dive with friendly bartenders and great live music.

Live music, great atmosphere, server was very good.

Service and drinks are great, but it seems like there's always karaoke going on. Some of these would-be singers are good, but if you're going to belt out a vodka-flavored off-key rendition of Minnie Riperton's "Loving You", please let me know ahead of time so I can pay my tab and run for cover.

You'll get what you expect from a neighborhood bar. Fortunately, enough folks are regulars and know each other, so there's a friendlier vibe than in most places. The poker game on Friday and Saturday nights is pretty good too. Just being ear plugs, since those bands can get pretty dang loud.

I went there at opening time on a saturday. Lots of tvs and games like most places.
But the bartender wasnt there. Finally some short young girl comes out and ignores me for a few minutes...because she is very important I guess...then finally i ask her how much for a beer.
Usually $4 a bottled domestic beer...until 1 theyre only $3...lol. No wonder no one was there. Great place it could be...but with that kind of uncaring service...treating the customers like they dont matter. Id recommend finding any other bar.

Seedy, overpriced, bad music, but there's something about this place that makes you want to go back.

I discovered it by accident and it is my home bar and my favorite place. The extremely friendly staff only compliments a truly local tavern experience. The pool tables are well maintained, the dart boards cleanish and even, the games are fun, the cover bands never bore, and the sports are always on the TV. Throw in the random video game nights, the ability to bring friends and food in for a birthday or random get together, and you have the best little local tavern a working man could ask for after a long Monday.

Just a small tavern. It's got beer, vodka, pool and apparently live music some weekends.

It's a bar, lots of TVs all around, so you can watch the game...

Great vibes, waitress is awesome and you can't beat $2.50, you call it!

Not gonna lie, being grown and raised in Austin, I would never recommend this hole in the wall, more of a bad karaoke bar than anything else

Rude and stand-offish staff. They ignore you when trying to order a drink yet they are lightning fast to bother you about your mask or having a beer on a wrong table. .

Having a lot different types of foods and loved that except over fried steak till found an insect (cockroach) on my friends food. Manager was just saying it might be just drop off.

Solid local bar. Cool bartenders, good drinks and super dark inside just as bars should be. You should check it out.

Nice place to play a round of pool, have a drink, and listen to the music.

Atmosphere was good considering it s a dive bar. Bartenders both acted as if non regular customers were annoying. Sat at a table for 2 hours. Waitress came by 1 time. Band was fair.

Went over to check out the open Mic. Music was excellent especially The Outlaw Years!

got there about two, it was not packed. prices were reasonable. reminds me of a restaurant in philadelphia that i enjoyed.

Great neighborhood bar with top notch bartenders Live music and atmosphere are hard to beat. Danny, the owner, is pretty cool too. I recently had to have emergency surgery and they opened up early one Sunday afternoon and bartenders donated their time for a benefit to help with my medical bills. That speaks volumes about the kind of people you'll meet there.

Had a couple of beers. And in that endeavor this establishment worked well.

An older place but had a great band and good service

Wonderful place! Open mic and events are always great! Loved the welcome to Austin Palmer Lane Tavern, as my other half is a muscian with JenGio. Couldn't ask for a better team of people that tend the bar. Always keeping the place sanitized, and clean.....always wearing face coverings.

Staff is great with a nice atmosphere. Love the back porch!

Unassuming, friendly hole in the wall, with regulars who have made this their neighborhood watering hole for years. Small but functional fenced-in back porch for smokers, decent well prices, and some surprisingly good live music acts that skew towards 70s-80s hard rock covers. Recommended north Austin dive, particularly if you live within walking distance (I do).

Their open late! It's a SAFE place to get liquored up and have a laugh. Your probably gonna like it too! Free WiFi for the reserved drinker, sit back and rent a movie on your phone or listen to your own music. And get some pizza next door!

Awesome neighborhood bar. Really friendly people. Just the place to go and relax. There are plenty of TV's to watch.

A neighborhood dive with great people and live music

My girlfriend and myself visited this place for a drink, as we first sat down we were carded by a man. After he gave them back he walked back to the bar without asking us if we needed anything. After 10 minutes of sitting there with only 5 people in the bar as the lady bartender hugs locals and takes care of them we finally came to senses and left. DO NOT RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL. Absolutely horrible.

Great place for NFL games on sundays. Every game on a 85 inch tv. Pretty cool

Super cool and laid back. Listen to the band and play pool. Bartenders were great!
