My roommates and I have been with cron for the past 3 years, renting an apartment and later a duplex. Maintenance was always quick to respond, whether it was an emergency or not. The main office can be difficult to reach during move in, but are typically very accessible otherwise.
I have owned a condo managed by Cron Management for almost 10 years. Through that entire period, the services provided have been outstanding. Maintenance issues are promptly attended to. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The building is always kept in excellent shape. When problems have developed, they have always been quickly resolved, even on weekends and evenings. It is clearly a well run organization that upholds high standards. I can only say I am glad they take care of our property.
My experience with Cron Management has been great so far. They have been very accommodating! Maintenance is great as well. I had a few small issues with appliances and they were fixed very quickly. The staff has been very kind to me as well! I was always notified when they were in my apartment fixing thing as well as fixing this around the building.

I lived in Treehouse West Apartments and thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Cron Management. Maintenance always comes at a reasonable time. They always let you know ahead of time if your apartment will be toured. Overall the staff is very compliant and helpful.
After being a tenet of Cron Management for two years, I would highly urge everyone seeking a place to stay to look for a different landlord. We had many issues arise in our apartment - from the apartment sweating due to the cold weather on the outside and the warm temp on the inside. There was also a black mold issue that was happening inside of the apartment which they tried to say was our fault (it was not), but they did take care of that. However, we had to have our own mold company go in there to prove to them it was actually mold. Then, they had sent me a check for less than 1% of what our security deposit was. After weeks of back fourth, they finally sent me what I deserved. Now, I just got charged rent through placepay which they claim is not their fault, but I cannot stop autopay for some reason. I just had to sit on the phone with placepay for 30+ minutes to try and figure out why this happening. I was not going to leave this review, but this was my last straw. I tried calling Cron - they would not help and basically told me to call placepay. You would think they would be willing to help, but I guess I thought wrong!
I am urging you to please lease an apartment somewhere else. Cron Management AKA A&G is not worth the headache even if their places have more space.
If I took the time out of my day to leave the first bad review I have ever left, let this be a sign of how terrible their customer service truly is.
They deny tenants access to LightSpeed fiber Internet and force you into using whatever Internet THEY choose - not you. I think they're getting kickbacks from the cable and Internet companies.
In my dealings with Cron in their retail spaces, they have been EXCELLENT in every way. Their maintenance staff has gone above and beyond EVERY time. They have always been QUICK to respond to any need and very kind and friendly to boot! Our space is probably the smallest that they manage in the downtown East Lansing area, so I don't think we are getting any kind of preferential treatment, either. A great company to work with.
I lived in student housing for a total of six years. GO GREEN! The two years I spent in Cron Properties were my favorite in East Lansing. I lived in the Treehouse West and a duplex on Beal. The staff were always pleasant, and lenient with late fees. Cron provides 24 hour on call maintenance and support. Thankfully I never had an issue with my appliances, but it's nice to know maintenance is always on call.
Treehouse South Apartments. A bit old and small apartment. Best part about living here is being pretty much on campus. Most other apartments are further out from campus. Have had some issues with the Heat and some leaking in the kitchen but nothing that couldn't be fixed. Wish they provided 3 parking passes one for each room.
they charged me $350 for an entry door that was dented by a drunk teen walking through the hallway but since it was my door i got charged. 7 years later i checked while in town, the door has not been replaced. Thieves /

The maintenance team is outstanding. If we have a problem in our apartment the team will come fix it immediately. Mike does an excellent job fixing issues.

Out of all Management companies in East Lansing this one seems to be the best! Provides the best bang for your buck, and the property is very well kept with quick response times from any issue that may arise!

*The fire alarm would go a thousand times after midnight, multiple times per night, all year!
*They would cut the electricity on the whole complex a hundred times per year.
*Emergency calls department are jerks!

I loved the time I spent living at Treehouse South under Cron Management! The location was great for attending basketball games at the Breslin, attending classes, stopping at 1855 Place Starbucks for coffee, and catching the bus in South neighborhood. The office staff was always very friendly and helpful, and maintenance was always friendly and quick to respond. I also was very appreciative of the security offered from my apartment complex under this management. I would recommend this management company and apartment complex to anyone looking for great housing in East Lansing!

The 565 building is an amazing location. Just a walk away from campus and steps away from great restaurants. You can rely on Cron Managment to solve any issues you may have within hours. Very reliable. Clean and update appliances.
I enjoyed my experience this past year with Cron. They were very attentive to my property. I am leasing a new apartment with them again next year and hope to have the same experience. I really appreciated Cron's willingness to let me paint my apartment. I will attach a photo of the before and after to show how much the space improved once painted!
My only critique was that my apartment itself (Maplewood) hadn't been updated in years and I personally replaced a few things including switch outlet panels (from cream color to white), as well as having to line all of my kitchen/bathroom cabinets because the wood was rotting away and had large indents. Also, when I had first moved in the staff who cleaned my apartment did not clean it to where I would've liked. I was still vacuuming up broken mirror pieces and odd items months into my lease and had to personally scrub the bathtub to remove dirty stains (photo below).
Cron Management was one of the most efficient and friendly property management companies I rented from while a student at MSU. I never had any difficulties throughout the whole process of renting, from allowing me to move in early to subleasing. The property was well taken care of and maintenance was always efficient. I d recommend leasing through Cron Management if you want a headache-free experience.
Cron Management is a fine property management company that I was able to find my apartment. The apartment complex that I live at isn't perfect, as there have been some complications. However whenever I call Cron, maintenance is always on their way to help.
I stayed at a Cron run apt. on 911 Marigold ave between 2017-2018. I had a great stay. The location was convenient, being pretty much an on-campus location. The place was relatively quiet, and the heat was free! The hallways were also kept clean and vacuumed periodically. The maintenance guy, Brian, I believe, as other reviewers had said, was also a friendly, nice dude. The lady at the leasing office, Kaitlyn, I believe, was also friendly and nice! She let me update my address for security deposit, which I greatly appreciated. Oh, and the rent was adequately priced given the 1 bedroom apt. and its location, though Cron increased it a bit for this place starting 2018.

Leasing office was helpful in my experience with them. They were also pretty responsive to all maintenance requests, which I appreciated. Only complaints were the limited office hours and the inability to pay rent online. These are minor inconveniences, however.
Treehouse south apartments! Had a handful of problems in the apartment such as unrealistically high water bills (makes no sense when the shower gets cold after 8 minutes or if another roommate showered), multiple problems with our heat (spent a few nights in the cold) and leaks under our sink (not fun). On the bright side, this one maintenance dude was a super good guy I wish I knew his name so y all could give him a raise but he worked around the apartment super often. Overall not a bad place to live but I would imagine there are better quality apartments out there for slightly higher if not similar pricing.
Great locations, helpful employees, and excellent/timely maintenance. Overall Cron Management is one of the best companies to work with in East Lansing.

I lived in 2 Cron Management properties over the course of 2 years, and I can personally attest that this is a terrible company. If Cron Management can find a way to screw you, they will. All in all, a terrible leasing company I would not recommend to anyone seeking housing in the East Lansing area.
I generally enjoyed my stay at Tree House West, but the management wasn't so friendly. However, I did like that they give you a call the day before showing my apartment to potential tenants, unlike other lease companies in EL who just basically barge in.
These people are really accommodating and flexible in the event something unexpected happens. Great places to live too.
Worst management I've had to deal with in East Lansing by far
Locations of apartments are some of the best but they come with issues. Single parking spaces for 2 or 3 people in the apartment is the biggest complaint. Prices are generally low. If possible choose rooms away from the stairs at Tree House West because you can hear anytime someone walks up or down them.

Lived in Treehouse West August 2014-2015. Paid a $400 summer cleaning fee for what? Upon arrival the bathroom counters were filthy and the area under the microwave above the stove must have literally never been cleaned and was caked with built up grease. Ash tray on the porch was filled with what i can only imagine to be about 7 or 8 years of cigarette buts. Also, 2 of the 4 bar stools in the room were completely broken upon arrival. You think maybe $400 would be enough to at least fix those, but i guess not. Furthermore, this old decrepit wooden construction needs a serious revamp. I lived on the 2nd floor and could hear, and i'm not exaggerating, every single relentless step, stomp, and thud that goes on in the room above. You arrive here the first day and think, "ooh that's interesting. hopefully its just because everyone is moving their stuff in." Nope! As it turns out, the entire building literally shakes whenever the third floor people move about, and the ceaseless sound of the floorboards creaking and snapping under their feet becomes a new source of stress and agony you would never have imagined in your darkest of nightmares. But hey, what can you expect for the $525 a month each person pays to live here!?... And yet, Tree House West, aptly named for the almost entirely wooden construction, stands atop Cron Management's facebook page like its some kind of impressive feat of engineering.. The only thing impressive about this "Tree House" is that its somehow still standing. To put it plainly, this place sucks. Management company wasnt too bad though. They fixed a lot of things that broke from normal use and didn't dive into our secuity deposit. Very pleasant people. Just an awful, awful apartment building.
Maintenance and customer service is always prompt and top notch. Everyone is very friendly and willing to worth with you to make all parties satisfied!
I really enjoyed my time living under Cron. Our apartment was clean, quiet, private, secure, and had a ton of space. I am very impressed with the level of security Cron provides for its complexes. The location of our specific complex was a great distance from campus. Close enough to walk to class. Maintenance was very helpful when needed. We had multiple garbage disposal issues and over spring break they replaced the entire garbage disposal system. And all in a reasonable rent. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
$1600+ a month to rent above tacobell. They did not tell me they were building a new complex next to our building. I am woken up at 7am on the dot every day to loud radios, beeping heavy machinery, saws, etc.... Called and they did absolutely nothing to help. Blew me off. Absolutely terrible customer service. Hard to get in contact with. Don't rent from this terrible company.
I stayed in Tree House West and I couldn t be happier with the service Cron provided. For every request I made or problem I came across, they were diligent and helpful. I hear horror stories from my fiends about bad management and I feel blessed with the service I have been receiving.

Sara Griffon was wonderful in helping to find us an apartment. She was able to secure a great apartment quickly in Evergreen, and was very patient working with all of the roommates, and their needed paperwork.
She was prompt in answering our many questions, and was always professional and courteous. I highly recommend renting from Cron, as they hire great people like Sara Griffon and have very nice apartments.

The best rental management in East Lansing. Friendly and helpful staff. Each building has an assigned maintenance person, so fixes are always done quickly and they really know the building well and try to solve the problem. Great 24 hour maintenance as well, always concerned with making sure students feel comfortable where they are living. Wish I would've rented from them earlier in my college career.
I have enjoyed my experience with Cron management the past year and a half. The staff is easy to work with and the maintenance workers are timely with their work.

My roommate and I live in Cron apartments in East Lansing and were very happy with their maintenance work. Our sink was clogged and we called Cron and they came the same day, fixed our sink, and cleaned up after themselves.
Loved living there so much I resigned for another year! Maintenance would always come within the day and fix anything we needed. Treehouse South location was so convenient with the south campus bus routes and basketball games nearby.
