Front end staff not accommodating or friendly. Had a voucher which was not at all explained and when I realized it they stated they could not honor the day I missed. I ve worked in this industry and we would never have done that... we always wanted to make it a phenomenal experience. Also, maybe absolutely nothing but there was a small bug in the bathroom, it freaked me out. I just may be a little paranoid about bedbugs in hotels.

It's nicely appointed hotel and you definitely feel the vibrancy of NY being in it. Closeness to Time Squre justifies the steeper price.
The room was nice and cozy with complimentary slippers. We had a nice view of the parking lot across the street, but if inclined, you may get a room with a view for extra.
Self- park at hotel is $42 plus tax (no in and out privilege). If you want in and out, I suggest one of many parking lots in the vicinity. Make sure to use mandatory $30+ assessed (we were advised we can use it only on the issued date) - we used it at their bar/grill located in hotel lobby (highly recommend hamburger platter. Salmon was overpriced for what you get).

The Hotel was beautiful but the customer service was horrible. Sept 11 when I checked in I checked into room that had a garbage can that had not been emptied; had a piece of trash on the floor next to the garbage can; I had a bent iron board and an iron that did not work so I called management and requested another room. He apologized and had a bellman direct us to another room. He asked us what type of wine we wanted for the inconvenience and we requested a Riesling. Moments later but on time a bottle of Chardonnay arrived.. LOL. Obviously we did not request a bottle of chardonnay but decided not to complain about it.. The EMPTY wine bottle and wine glasses set in our room for two days which was way too long. Keep in mind that my stay was from the Sept 11-16th FASHION week so the hotel was demanding top dollars and I don't feel we got out monies worth. I can see not getting some other things for free but no coffee.. Keep the newspaper and give me the coffee instead. LOL. September 12th I was returning to the the room with guest when I was asked if I had room key.. I was so embarrassed and ashamed that I told them to get lost. The hotel is a great area and you have your choice 5 star restaurants as well as cheaper but good restaurants. My most pleasant experience was the fabulous bed and heavy drapes that blocked out the bright lights from Time square.. The shower featured two shower heads one rain fall and one side spray nozzle. I only wished the hotel room had a tub.

Very nice hotel in the center of tourist madness. Clean and roomy guest rooms. Very nice, attentive, and helpful staff (font desk - Darlene is a darling). Train station practically attached to hotel, so that's convenient. My only (small) complaint would be there are no AV hookups to the TV in the room.

Definitely expensive.

Definitely expensive.
We had a problem with the toilet, which was not created by us, and despite the timely notification they did not come to fix it. They wanted to charge us $ 60 for a mini-bar when we hadn't eaten anything.
We will not return to this hotel!

Stayed here with a friend for a long weekend. I must say this is one of my favorite hotels in the city. I travel quite often and know good service when I see it. thank you for the warm welcome!

The rooms are a good size and the hotel is in an excellent location if you re looking for Times Square, the Theatre District, or anything else in this area of Manhattan. Plenty of easy ways to get there. The views are great and the service is good. Just be prepared for the extra fees to cover services that you may or may not use while staying at this hotel.

A Star Near Broadway - Upon arrival, I knew this was going to be a good stay in NYC. At the reception desk, we were warmly greeted by Nic. He was gracious, friendly, and courteous. He explained the services available at the hotel, gave suggestions for nearby restaurants and sites to see. The location of the hotel was perfect. We were able to walk to just about everything (we love to walk). And, when we were not able to walk, the subway was just around the corner. Our only complaint was that there was no club lounge, but we find that to be basically true of IHG properties in the US.

To be honest I've stayed in 3 star hotels of the same standard. Receptionist in the evening when we checked in wasn't rude but not polite either, he seemed to make a deal with the fact my wife was staying in the same room as me. Comfortable bed and nice shower, tv was very limited and the tea in the room was not very nice. From the towels to the hair dryer no feel of luxury which is what we were looking for. Biggest plus point is the food and the service in the bar which was exceptional. Also no offer of help with our bags.

Stayed here twice for a weekend getaway in NYC! Great hotel with awesome views. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location would be convenient if you want to tour around time square. But it can also be a drawback as it is always too crowded around the hotel

The location is great, right next to the subway
Even if you come to see a musical late at night

But there are some things that I don't speak English, but the female staff who helped me check in was too quick to hear.
I think I m a foreigner in the first place and I m Nabal and I can speak English as much as a native speaker.
The employee who sees his passport and knows that he is a foreigner

Good location, good standard of rooms. However, impersonal hotel with the lack of the little extra commitment. Non-discarded dishes were outside our hotel room upon arrival, chocolate was lying under the bed which was not cleaned away. On a cleaning occasion, a bag of towels and sheets were forgotten in the room. Such can happen even if I have never been through it before. Expensive breakfast and that deposit was reserved in the account and was paid several banking days after the return trip. Well, another hotel will be next time. But the gym is a plus!

Spacious room and large bathroom by New York standards but not too positive experience: after paying one head a head for a week, we find ourselves on the tax bill for water bottles taken in the room (having 25 Dollars a day of credit). Charged $ 45 for a kit never used. We are still waiting for their response. Returning to Italy, so AFTER having checked out, after 24 hours they charge us 30 Dollars a day for a full 4 days ... you can still figure out what they refer to! I was expecting much more fairness from a hotel of that category belonging to a large chain. Very disappointed.

No local craft brews in the bar. Expensive with no fan in bathrooms. Nice views. Beds are very comfortable. The magnification mirror was helpful.
Edit: Intercontinental replied to my review and that is indicative of their response rate (thumbs up). I called every morning and asked for coffee pods because the rooms only had a couple (caffeinated). Thanks for responding Alex.

Optimal location. Extremely central.

Optimal location. Extremely central.
Interior a bit dated (carpets, for example), could be refreshed. Unfortunately, the room service has lost a pajamas.
Would book again.

Been to the Marriott and was pleased but I loved the InterContinental hotel, service and location. Room was clean, service was polite and is located within a 5 minute walk to places like McDs, Famaiglia Pizza and Shake Shack as well as to convenient, wine and spirits stores!

Amazing location. Great rooms. Friendly.and hospitable staff. Unfortunately breakfast buffet is overcrowded due to limited available space and food options need improvements. Overall great place for family vacation. Easy access to mostly everything. Great value of money
