Great hotel! We got a free upgrade, and a couple of water bottles at check in, which is always nice. Location is excellent!! We were going to a Broadway show and a few games at Madison Square Garden and both were easy walking distance. Times Square, too!!!

As an Intercontinental Ambassador Guest,

This hotel should be rated as a 3 star hotel...

Luxury, comfort & good service is NOT among the hotel features!

Location & room view is great!

Great location for walking to nearby tourist spots such as Times Square or NY Public Library. Lobby of the hotel was clean and modern and front desk was able to check us in and out quickly. Standard room with large bathroom for NYC standards - no issues here. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for the location.

I usually stay here when in NYC. Close to Times Square but far enough away to avoid the chaos. Easy walk to Hells Kitchen. It's not truly luxurious but very clean, with good sized rooms, a good workout room, and a good restaurant

Overall a good stay. Definitely a noisy location, but that should be assumed given it's Times Square. Got a small two-queen room that was nice, but nothing exceptional. Again, a good stay, but nothing really made it stand out from other hotels of the same caliber.

Service was great at each point of contact. The curbside bellhop was helpful, the check in process was easy. Room was modern and clean, turn down service made coming back from a long day a bit easier. I appreciate them holding my luggage even after checkout until our departure.

Absolute garbage staff. I am an IHG Spire Elite and International Ambassador and I was treated like garbage by the ambassador check in rep on Friday 1/11/19. The Manager then flat out lied to my face and then back tracked when the IHG rep on the phone called her out on it. This will be the last time I ever use any IHG brand hotel. This ruined the entire stay in NYC. I have cancelled all future reservations with IHG and have went back to Hilton brand hotels.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. MY WATCH WAS STOLEN IN A HOTEL ROOM.

We stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel while attending a fashion fair in New York City during July 2018. This was the worst decision ever.
We are platinum IHG ambassadors and were treated terribly.

1. We were placed in a smokers room that smelled terribly, although we had specified in our reservation we were none smokers.

2. The room we were placed at was super dirty, the carpet was stained, and even after the housekeeping went through the room was dusty.

3. The night before leaving NYC we packed our bags and went to dinner. Meanwhile, someone went through our luggage and stole a luxury watch that was inside one of our suitcases. After finding out the watch was missing we talked to security, filed a police report and they advised us they were going to investigate. We kept on following up via emails and phone calls but continually were ignored by the security and claims team.

It has been 5 months since this happened and after 2 months of complete silence from the Intercontinental team we got a letter saying the hotel was not responsible for the theft, and were not going to anything about it.

This level of service is unacceptable specially coming from Intercontinental. We were ignored and our personal property was stolen inside our hotel room. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

The Intercontinental was able to get me into my room early which was appreciated so I could start my day. The room was large and clean and had a wonderful view from the 21st floor. Breakfast was sufficient had plenty of selection.

Those of us with dietary requirements know it can be a real challenge to juggle eating out and preparing stuff in room. I asked the hotel to help me make heating up some food happen, and was met with a bit of resistance. With some gentle persuasion I was able to get the manager involved and she (with a waiver) agreed to help me heat up soup. Thank you! I reserve the final star for staff that are eager to help problem solve with me. Next time?

Accomodations are nice, great location, and staff is pretty okay. We were on the 4th floor, courtyard facing and it was quiet. I would recommend staying here.

In general quite well, spacious room, fairly new, good service, unbeatable location, just be careful with charges, usually charge a percentage when you book and upon arrival they charge you again the total amount and then the claim is a problem.

Or I did not know too twisters English frontman, or did not feel the doorman would do, or there is no club lounge, but bartender or not as curt, here in New York of the middle. Even though there are many things to think about, it ends with a feeling like "Oh, Ika".
You can walk to Times Square in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant is open even at midnight and there are lots of people with high tension. I feel brighter at night than daytime.
It is better to eat breakfast at a number of nearby restaurants than at the hotel. It is good to enjoy the New Yorker feeling.
I forgot to take a picture, but I can see the main street of Broadway from the window.
Anyway the location is good! It is exhausted to this.

One thing is for certain if you're staying in the Intercontinental, Times Square, you will know you're in New York City! I've stayed about half a dozen times in the past four years and always had great views.

The corner suites afford views both up as far as central park and down to the financial district.

Birdland is pretty much directly opposite, which is a great place, especially if you can get there for 5:15 on a Friday for the Birdland Big Band.

Of course, being a massive chain hotel it's not perfect. Each time I stayed there it was as if I had never been before. No recognition or anything. Obviously I had the loyalty card and got a few promotions, but this was a hit and miss affair. Maybe I am just not that recognisable!

I did get some good service here, but hit and miss as I said. I liked the bar in the lobby, but there was the most bizarre playlist that sounded like it was chosen by a 20yo crystal meth dealer.

like most New York hotels, lots of things to catch out the unwary appear on the bill, mainly New York specific hotel taxes and so on, but the price of your room can also vary massively over a 7 night stay. Be careful!

Would have got more stars if not for the inconsistency, cost and the fact that once the novelty of the view has worn off, there are probably cooler, more stylish, friendlier places to stay in NYC.

This, like most other InterContinental locations, is very nice, clean, and friendly staff. Of course the location, size of rooms, and quality of service raises the price point a bit, hence the 4 star rating, but if you want a quiet and well kept place to stay, this is the place for you. I would recommend.

Dirty Room The room is not properly cleaned. Lots of dust mites. I woke up with rashes all over my limbs, and red eyes. Even though I asked for changing my beddings the next day, my allergic symptoms worsen. My allergic reaction finally relieve after I change to another hotel. Would not go back here again. Poor Gym Lots of facilities are malfunctioning, no one is taking care of the gym.

Worst hotel to stay. Everything is charged for and they don't clean good leave trash around and the lady's that clean steal your belongings. A tip that I can give you is if you are staying there put all your expensive belongings in a safe box they will disappear.

This is the First time i have ever stayed at this Particular property. I was lucky enough for a friend to use his points for our stay.I was in town for the Andre Boccelli concert... WOW I was first greeted by 2 wonderful doormen who treated me like i was a long lost friend and then came upon Francisco , at the front desk..who was not only charming but so wonderful and efficient that made me want to never leave the hotel.
My girlfriend and i had the best Chocolate Martinis ever and those Potato Apps really made me try to recreate them at home , but alas , could not...
While waiting for the Uber driver, i was lucky to meet the GM who was very appprocable and really set the tone for my really wonderful stay...thankyou guys for everything.. I will be back...regards Carroll Kacsur

Stopped in for drinks at the newly named Todd English bar. Creative drink concepts. Bar food was quite good. Friendly and crowded atmosphere but not annoyingly crowded. Most people were smiling and laughing so it had a good vibe.
