Probably the best hotel to stay at in the times square area. Room was clean, staff was very polite and helpful, views from the building were great. My only complaint is the issue with the homeless people right outside the front door waiting for people to come out begging for money. I understand people are down on their luck and need help but i saw hotel guests essentially being harassed out of their money right when they would leave the front door.

Nice hotel with smart rooms in a great location. Got a great upgrade to a Skyview corner room as a Spire Elite member on a points booking. Didn't really interact with the staff as we basically used it for sleeping but never saw the bell boys do anything other than chat to each other...

The worst intercontinental I have ever stayed at in my life and all that goes to ( Alvin the doorman) so I had 7 pieces of luggage that I had to unload from the car and drag them to the front desk all by myself because "Alvin" would not cooperate and help me out even though I asked him nicely many times but I guess he was busy not working but hanging out outside a five star hotel

Not a pleasant experience at this location. The manager Darialla was extremely rude when I complained of customer service and check in issues, she simply said Ok i will note it down and refused to even say sorry. Below is few issues:

1. Charged me an upgrade fee even though i am a platinum elite member.
2. Made me wait 2 hours at check in
3. Rude staff except for one gentleman at front desk. No welcome or recognition of members.
4. Offered me to take some stuff free from minibar and later charged me for it. They took it off when I called. Charged me $37 for ONE water bottle.
5. Rooms look old and in serious need of renovation. Views were good but not great.

My recommendation: try other locations near time square. This hotel is definitely not worth your money.

It was a pretty good experience. It was clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable. Pillows too. elevators were a bit confusing at first and sometimes would take a trip all the way up trying to get your card to read.

Awesome upscale hotel in midtown. Staff is great, facility is very comfortable and we'll updated. Location is perfect, just off times square. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

The housekeeping staff was very attentive! Brining anything I needed quickly. Even on days where we opted out of our room cleaning we were pleased to get a call from the staff offering anything we might need. Also, I was happy about them calling and asking us when would be the best time to clean the room for days we did get it cleaned.

Nice hotel conveniently located in the theatre district but all front desk personnel need interpersonal skills training, the beds are subpar with no support and I woke up with a terrible back pain. Had to check out a day early so I didn't have to sleep on that horrible bed.

I could hear the humming from some machine which caused me to run the TV to drown it out. Also I was unable to checkout as there was a line of 8-10people checking in. As they had my credit card I was told they would e-mail me a copy. That was Sunday 3 days ago....still waiting. I'm willing to bet they submitted my bill to my credit card day one.

Loved it! Great view of Midtown. I am a Holiday Inn credit card member so I got my stay comped on anniversary points. The front desk staff made sure I had the highest room in my category which I really appreciated! Shake Shack is right downstairs if you're hungry.

One of the best hotels in New York, and I highly recommend staying in it
God willing, we will return and visit New York and book the same hotel
Very clean and close to services and time square

Close to Times Square, it's very convenient.

Close to Times Square, it's very convenient.
However, it may be anxious to the person who is worried about the sound of the car's horn or the like because it is too central.
Especially on weekend nights, there is a lot of traffic until late.
Also, there is no free drink in the room, so you need to buy it nearby if necessary.

Receptionist that I called was very rude. I had to check in later than the usual check in time because of the time conflict, so I wanted another guest to check in first so that she doesn t wait outside waiting for me. The receptionist was annoyed and was not accommodating. I wanted to confinm that everything is fine, but she wanted to hang up early passive aggresively. I don t understand why she would treat a guest like this. I felt very offended during and after the call and now I have a negative view of this hotel even before entering it. I didn t pay 1500 dollars to be treated like this. As a long time guest of Intercontinental, I m very disappointed with her attitude. Her attitude was very unprofessional and rude.

I loved the lobby and the fireplace, as well as the evening wine reception. They also have great coffee in the morning. I may have just gotten lucky with my room, but I found this to be the quietest hotel I've stayed in. It is an old hotel that has been remodeled, so not every corner is square, but we loved it.

The rooms are dated. Some are even smelly. The carpet of my room just adjacent to the bar/ room fridge was wet when i checked in. The location is superb. Breakfast was marginally ok. The staff needs more training to be more courteous. Lobby sitting area is practically non existent

What can I say except it is the worst. The room was filled with mosquitoes. When I asked for help they told me that the manager will call you back, and he or she didn t. I called to order breakfast, the lady who I was talking with ended the call before I even finish. They provide u with the most expensive water but you have to pay for it. Don t order coffee because it will come cold. When u call with a request, the response: please wait the manager will call u back.

The rooms especially the corner view rooms are wonderful, if it is in your budget, pay extra for this category. The location is also great. HOWEVER, in owning past hotel residences as well as calling them home I feel my judgement is well balanced.

I would NOT pay extra for the breakfast option as in nearly half the cases they run out of many of the selections and no one seem to care. So, skip the Breakfast. I complained several times and nothing happened. Also, I would not recommend the Concierge Airport pickup service as ours had no information on our flight and we had to call them for our flight info. etc. For $190 dollars one way EWR to Hotel a person should not have to tell them for the fourth time the details.
Even though we emailed the Mgmt. at the hotel, they did not give us credit for the laundry, along with other credits for food/beverage that we were entitled to in paying the daily $30 daily resort fee. I'm still waiting for a response.
The Rooms were up to IHG standards but not the service. I will attempt to write again MGMT and address my credit.

Nice hotel, centrally located. You can get to all important places very quickly from here. Not so nice is the not up-to-date paid W-LAN. While free W-LAN is offered everywhere around you in the city, you are still asked to pay for it despite the high prices.
The breakfast is good and plentiful. A constantly changing selection of dishes. Very service-minded staff.

Location of course is in New York and on a crowded street but soon as you walk through the doors you can tell you are in a high scale hotel. The Service is perfect and the rooms are clean and comfortable as could be. They are on the pricey side when it comes to room service or any kind drinks/snacks. Showers are amazing as well.

Rooms very clean and good beds and bathroom. People gebtge and concierges superkind also wowi the kids. For family room, no place for the luggages. Don't think at all about to take something for the trail or minibar, a 3 dollars water bottle was charged 15 dollars!!! I missed a kettle for an early coffee or tea without using the coffee machine, or a decaf coffee pod and milk.

Decent hotel. Front of house need to be retrained in customer service. Location is about the best thing about this hotel. Don t expect any extra customer service. Don t expect to be recognized for loyalty even if you are top tier IHG rewards. I would recommend the Westin across the street over this property. It should be downgraded from an Intercontinental! Seems like they need new management and more training!!

Horrible place the people who manage not much better
Stopped by to get information about making future reservations and was not received or treated well ? I wouldn't refer anyone there particularly anyone of the minority persuasion. Spend you money where they respect you
They should change their name that one is not suitable they are One demensionable at best.

The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The room is always clean and the people in the front desk is very friendly.

This hotel has the most disrespect staff in New York City....Stay Away, the front office manager Amanda refused to honor my reservation, kicked me out the hotel because I requested to have my rewards membership added on a third-party reservation to get points on incidentals which is for my understanding totally acceptable she was very rude and disrespectful and kicked me and my wife with our seven-year-old child out of the hotel and refused to honor our reservation after a six hour trip to get to the hotel stay away. FYI also Samantha the guest service agent was disrespectful and rude....this is a Four star hotel I thought
