Expected loss! I stayed in New York three times this year for about a month. Every year, I use the first hotel other than the same hotel.

This is the first time this hotel is the worst service in Manhattan. Above all, all staff have no smile at all. There is no greeting from the front desk staff at check-in and check-out, and there is no greeting, silent ... What's wrong (laughs). The doorman also talks sloppyly.

Even if the location and facilities are good, at the worst the customer service will lower the item. The lobby floor with no smile or nervousness is uncomfortable. The Marriott family is much better.

Excellent stay. Good quality rooms, service was great but did not expect to be charged for receiving a parcel. Breakfast is always busy and they are very careful to ensure kids do not eat for free. Bit petty when you pay so much to stay at such an international hotel.

The hotel is ideally located 100 meters from Time Square and 500 meters from The Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center or Central Park. Better yet, the metro is right at the entrance of the hotel.

The welcome and friendliness of the staff leave much to be desired. By way of check-in, the person explained to us that we had gone through Booking and therefore that we could not claim to have a view or to be on high floors without an additional charge of approximately 50 dollars per night. For 10 minutes I thought I was in the Orange Is the New Black series preparing for my entry into detention, my interlocutor was so sinister ...

The rooms are clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable. The new bathroom is pretty and pleasant.

In terms of services, don't expect much. I had the distinct impression of being in rooms to rent and certainly not in a hotel (no one will bring your luggage), zero smile in a week ... unworthy of a 4 star.

Next to metro station and time square. Warm staffs. Received warm welcome as platinum member. Room is clean and comfortable. Water pressure a little bit low (understandable given the height of the room). Too few bars to hang towels in the bathroom even if I want to go green. Power delivered by one of the power outlet seems too low. Very comfortable beddings.

Room is big in New York standard and location is convenient. However, very very poor service and awful staff attitude. We did not feel like being treated as guests. When we arrived the room, we found a bowl of nuts and a kettle mysteriously placed on the floor next to the room door in the corridor like some sort of rituals performing. It was a little spooky. We moved them aside and they were still there the next day. We stayed for four nights and housekeeper did not refill shampoo/body soap even they were used up. Phone was not working and we couldn t connect with the concierge. Also, housekeeper has thrown away our luggage key. The worst staying experience at Intercontinental.

We stayed here because of its proximity to Time's Square and the theaters in the area. When we arrived it was difficult to find a place to pull over and unload our bags an check in, but it is a block from Times Square so traffic is chaotic. You have the option to valet your car for $70 a day or self park across the street for $40 a day with no in and out privileges. We went to check in and were kind of disappointed that they offered nothing to IHG members even though they are an IHG hotel. (My husband is a Spire Elite member with them). The service wasn't all that great here and while staff wasn't terribly rude they weren't overly friendly either.
We got checked in and into our room. We were put on the 6th floor which wasn't too bad. We could hear some of the traffic noise from the street below but I tuned it out pretty quickly. The room itself was a pretty standard hotel room. The shower was nice and had a detachable shower wand which makes washing my daughter's insanely long hair a heck of a lot easier.
We stayed for only two days one day we used a reward night on points from being IHG members and one night we paid for. We stopped briefly at the concierge hoping they could help us because my husband forgot our Wicked tickets at home and it was $7.95 for 15 minutes on the internet in their business center and you had to pay per page for prints. The woman at concierge printed them for us for free and gave us some information about where to eat and fun things to do for kids.
When we got back to our hotel room on the second day our keys did not work and when we went down to the front desk we were told that when we checked in, they had charged us for two rooms on the same night instead of on the same room for consecutive nights. We were charged for a third room but they wound up working it all out and fixing it.
One thing I will say is he fitness area was big and very nice with tons of equipment!
All in all it was an okay hotel but we will probably be staying somewhere else next time we come to the city.

You get what you pay for.

You get what you pay for.
Stayed in 3 different rooms during my trip
34th floor - 27th floor - 6th floor

Out of these, the 27th was truly the best

The room on the 34th floor was quite possibly the most spacious
However I had the opportunity to stay in a corner room on the 27th floor which was walled almost entirely with windows providing a beautiful view of the city.
The amenities in both of these rooms we re quite nice. On par with what you would expect from a room at the Intercontinental.

The room on the sixth floor however, was it considerably different story.
As to be expected from a cheaper room, it lacked roughly half of the amenities of the larger rooms, including simple amenities like a sewing kit or bathrobe.

Unfortunately the heat in the room on the six floor was also not working properly
But when I called the front desk they offered to send up a technician immediately.
For the record, I declined the offer but requested a bathrobe, and they sent one up without hesitation.

If the premium experience is something that you re looking for, I highly recommend aiming for one of their corner rooms on any of the upper floors.

Having the opportunity to try three different meals from the room service menu, I can also vouch for both the quality and flavour of the food.

What are the greatest pluses of this hotel is simply the professionalism and courtesy of the staff.
It truly matches the overall atmosphere of the hotel and enhances the stay.

Room was spacious enough. Not so sure about the 5-star quality. I actually found a condom packet (just the outside package, not the condom itself) under the bed which is very unprofessional. Overall it was OK.

The check in clerks are the lowest specimen of humanity. The are rude and very unhelpful. After paying 500 per night and being loyalty members of this is what you get, you'll be better off staying at the Times square Marriott for cheaper and get better service.

Great hotel, good location. Easy walking distance to a majority of attractions. The staff are helpful and the rooms are spacious. The bar is good and a nice spot to grab a drink of you are waiting around. Breakfast is excellent of a little on the pricey side.

Nice and good hotel! Everything was found to be as we needed during our 10 days of stay. Nice rom with a lovely bathroom and a big delicious shower. Good cleaning, nice view, high above most of the traffic noise, and a comfy bed. Even got our on fridge brought up to the room. Nothing to complain about here. And the restaurant and bar downstairs was nice to. Breakfast a bit to expansive, so found a lovely American diner next to the hotel instead (Westway Diner) that is highly recommended!
All services during our stay was great at this hotel.

Nice hotel. Review your bill for mistaken charges from mini bar and snack tray. It is pressure sensitive. If you pick something up to read the contents or details, the sensor triggers an automatic charge to your room bill!

Requested high floor but received 5th floor. Bathroom door did not close all the way. At check out, the attendant at front desk was rude. Did not say a word to me at check out; only snatched the key off of my hand. Would not recommend to anyone.

Front desk can be a little busy at times and this means you mightn't get the welcome you deserve. Once you're in the room though (get a corner suite, ending 25 if possible) it's all good. Nice linens, clean, quiet. Stinger bar is a bit schizophrenic, as the hotel clients seem to be families and business travellers, but the bar seems to frown on both.

We arrived late and had early checked in but he guy who helped us was fully prepared. He was so nice and helped us with our luggage and gave his best of the best. We feel bad when we said we don't have a change to tip him, but his answer was amazing. He said; I am on your service, your happiness is my key priority. Well come to intercontinental and enjoy your stay with us. Don't feel bad, your smile and happiness is my reward and you pay me with your smile. Stay happy and enjoy your stay with us. Keep in touch whenever you need help. wow, I was mesmerized.
Well, I went the next day to see him. They said he is off for two days and he is a new guy. I didn't get a chance to see him. Even I wasn't able to tip him, I think this msg will get to him. I really want to thank him for his help and being so nice. Definitely, I will look forward to see him in future.

The staff was very kind. There was a problem with my reservation but they provided the Presidential Suite at no extra expense. The atmosphere was lovely especially at night. The view was fabulous and the shower was fantastic. Definately staying here again. Suite or not depending on the need.

Was a great hotel. Upon checking in we got upgraded to the highest floor in the hotel and a corner room which gave a beautiful view of the city. Daniel was great at front desk. The beds were very comfortable and room was clean. Room service was definitely pretty expensive I stay at many hotels and they were more on the pricey side. The only reason I give this hotel a 4 star is 1- seems like no one answers the phone. The first time we had to call room service atleast 8 times before someone finally answered , we got through before they put us on hold and then hung up.
2- the night before check out we had gone downstairs ( because no one answered the phone) and asked for a late checkout just for an extra hour since our flight was leaving later. I don t remember who it was but this girl was so rude and just cold faced , no smile no emotion. She just said no can t do it we re fully booked. I said ok, at the same time my boyfriend wanted to suprise me and get a flower for Valentine s Day and asked if it was possible to get a flower all she said was no sorry. No effort to try and make something possible , nothing. Didn t try to go above and beyond for a guest. But anyways So we decided to call this morning and ask for a late checkout and instantly they said no problem. So .. I don t know if this woman just didn t like us or whatever the issue was but that was why we gave it s 4 star. I would even give it a 3 because of her but the rest of the hotel outshined this girl.

Except the view is good, everything is terrible! There is no smile on any front desk staff's face. When I got home, I found they charged me $40+ a week after I stayed in the hotel. After several times calling, they sent me my bill and showed I have bought 4 bottles of water in the minibar(Fiji small water $10.5/bottle Crazy!) They have a sensored minibar without any sign at the obvious location and there is even no hotel staff to check whether the costomer used the minibar! They even don't send you bill so if you don't check your credit card statement regularly, then you will just pay this huge amount of money!
