We were guests in the hotel recently and I am a native New Yorker and decided to do a stay-cation in the city at the Intercontinental. We came to The Stinger which is their lobby bar which is quite nice. However in all my years of living in this city and traveling around the world I have never experience worse customer service in my life. My mother and I sat down to have a glass of wine in the bar and sat down at a 4 top table. After about 30 minutes a bench of seating near the fireplace opened. We asked our waiter if we could move tables which he said was fine and assisted us in moving. After about 10 minutes went by we were then yelled at by a different server saying we had to immediately leave since that table was reserved. We kindly said please check with your colleague since we were told we could move. The supervisor came over and proceeded to yell at us again saying that never happened and that I am making it up. Given we are guests and would think there would be some accommodation made I am flabbergasted. The worst case of he said she said between a patron of an expensive bar and the waitstaff that I have ever seen. After having multiple people yell at us, the supervisor said we must leave and that he found us another table. This new table was in the back of the bar near the bathroom. The main issue lies in that the waiter who told us we could change tables AND HELPED US DO SO completely denied ever saying that we could move. Completely ridiculous and very shocking.

Accommodations were nice, but didn't get the room I requested (a view of the next door apartments and air conditioning units) and the special requests were not honored immediately (a bottle of wine to celebrate my mother's 75th birthday was to be waiting in our room upon arrival). Staff was superior, BUT did have to wait 20 minutes to speak with the concierge on two occasions. I will return here if the occasion presents itself.

Great location and lovely breakfast (albeit a very expensive breakfast) but being truthful it is not a 5* hotel. Intercontinental Miami is only a 4* and it puts this Time Square one to shame. Don't get me wrong we had a top time in NYC but it's not a 5* hotel just 5* prices.

Hotel with magnificent facilities located 3 minutes from Times Square and with a subway station touching the hotel which allows you to travel quickly both on the way to and from the airport. It has 36 floors, from the 20 the view of the skyscrapers is exciting, higher up better. Large room, bright and well decorated, in short, very cozy. Extra large bed with soft and nice lingerie, for my back the mattress too soft. Very large flat screen TV in which you are welcomed with your name but unable to capture channels from Spain. Kit of plugs to connect several devices (do not forget to take the adapter to the American plug). Large bathroom and cabin for the oversized shower and closed with glass panels. Minibar with a wide assortment of drinks and snacks. The hotel is very large and has a lot of staff, so you have the chance to meet all types of people. Some receptionists very stretched, speaking only in English and with little desire to give explanations, when the easy thing would be to divert that client to another receptionist who spoke Spanish. Fortunately, at the time that he wanted to sign us $ 750 with the credit card, since the stay was already paid, a South American receptionist arrived there with the greatest kindness to explain that it was a deposit for the expenses that We could do it while we were at the hotel ($ 75 per night). If no expenses were incurred, the deposit would be returned in full, as it was. The junior staff, porters, bellboys, cleaners ... very nice and eager to help. Special mention to Elvis, in charge of luggage, who with his good disposition solved us an important problem that they had not known / wanted to do in reception or in counseling.

Environmentally friendly features: You only change the sheets when you leave an "ad hoc" sign on the bed with that instruction. The towels only when you leave them on the floor. It's very good. There is no need to change every day.

Recently stayed at this hotel. Mostly was good except few things which were critical.

1) House keeper took our white t-shirt which was on bed while she was changing the sheets. (I assume since it was gone after the house keeping). I told the front desk and concierge and they said they would contact me back regards to this issue.
HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY ANSWER FROM THEM YET. THEY JUST DON'T CARE

2) I have a charge of $190 after I got back from the hotel which I DO NOT know.
I have NOT touched any of the drinks and what so ever.
I send them an email regarding this as well but have not received back ANY ANSWER from them for 3 days. THEY JUST DON'T CARE.

I'm going to continue asking for my money back but it is just so disappointing.
I am going to continue to send an email but they seem to ignore it.

Stayed here for the weekend and everyone has been so friendly and helpful and whoever was the guest concierge that communicates to guest through text is so awesome and was so willing to cater our every single request. Felt really spoiled. Would definitely come back again will definitely recommend it to family and friends.

It's nice but not 4.5 stars... Pillow and mattress felt really old and worn in. Was clean and location is awesome, so close to Times Square. If you love super soft mattresses you're in luck. If you like firm mattresses look elsewhere.

Totally ripoff, they might have sensor or something on rooms snack bar, even if you pick up and put them back, you will get charged, so be aware. Also they will charge you for breakfast full amount even though you get $25 credit.
I tried to call them issue about the billing but front desk told me to call accounting service. And accounting service never answers the phone. total ripoff price was around $125 for a $270 room. which makes one night stay around $400

It is located in the theater district. Very convenient for people who like to have a night out watching a Broadway Show. However, it doesn't live up to the standard as a high end hotel. The room is small and old. The room that I stayed with has a worn out furniture.

Great big rooms, nice bathrooms. Close to times square but still far enough not to get caught in the traffic mess. Very good service in lobby and at the door. Very surprising given the touristy location.

The worst customer service. The rep was suppose to call us after the room is ready. We waited for 2-3 hours and went to the front desk to check if the room is available. There was a room available. Asked why didn't you call earlier and the rep rudely replied it just became available and should I call now!! What the H? Such a worst kind of service for a $500 night hotel.

I had a great stay at the hotel. As an Ambassador member, they gave me a great upgrade to a spacious and quiet corner room with 4PM checkout - and a great view. The staff was very helpful and patient. Great location.

When we got here there was a discrepancy between what we booked the hotel for and what they wanted to charge us. Luckily, they fixed the problem for us. The view on the 31st floor is amazing and the shower was awesome!

A sensor in the mini bar to test whether we touched the ugly bottles in the fridge, and with money counted, although we didn't actually use them. Non free WiFi. No answer if you call the front desk.

HOTEL COSMOPOLITA AND ITS STRONG POINTS ARE: MAGISTRAL LOCATION, QUALIFIED PERSONNEL, LARGE ROOMS, FILM HALL .. IT IS THE IDEAL HOTEL FOR A LUXURY STAY BECAUSE I WAS THERE OF HONEYMOON AND THE EXPERIENCE WAS A HONOR REGISTRATION .. THANKS TO THE COURT ENGLISH AND A BRIGHT MANAGEMENT OF MY HUSBAND WE COULD ENJOY A ROOM ON THE 22TH PLANT THAT THE VIEWS WERE SPECTACULAR .. THE HALL ENVIRONMENT WAS FANTASTIC AND THE IDEAL CAFETERIA FOR DINNER ... I AM WISHING TO RETURN TO NEW YORK AND OF COURSE TO THE INTERCONTINENTAL BECAUSE THE DEAL WAS EXCELLENT ...

I am really really disappointed. So, my breakfast was included in the rate for my stay. I checked out with a zero balance and a week later I see a charge on my credit card for one day's breakfast. I called and spoke to the front desk and another call to the accounting team ensuring me the charge would be credited back to my account. It's been over a month and they refuse to credit my card back. They are non responsive to calls and emails. In addition, the rooms are tiny and definitely not worth the price of the room.

I had the worst hotel stay in my life, my room smelled terrible, the pillow literally smelled like urine, disgusting hotel. Basically its bait and switch operation, the room carpet got stains. Its very pricey, with little to offer, The only positive thing was I got a nice city view, from a urine smelling room. when I called their front desk and advised them that one of the pillows smelled like straight urine, they weren't surprised at all. I got breakfast package but there's no breakfast, they said their closed due to covid. I didn't even bother for a discount or a refund. DO not go to this hotel.

Great location for a family spring break visit to NYC. My only complaint was the WiFi connection it was not complimentary and did not work well. Otherwise, the two-bed room was nicely appointed, clean and modern.
