First night of stay kept awake by party in the next room went on from early evening 11 pm through to 4.30am despite calling reception for them to sort out several times. Awoke to find this outside door in morning!!
Hotel not concerned at all!!! Will not be staying at Intercontinental again.

Furniture started to disappear from my room and I got the feeling I had been assigned a place in their furniture storage. I left before the bed was removed. Staff was not helpful and the hotel could have been cleaner. Better options in the area.

My husband and I stayed for two nights this past weekend & I definitely felt the need to address how disappointing our stay was. (Everyone needs to read Yelp reviews before booking with this hotel!)

We had a room right above the train station. We didn't think too much of it till the noise from the trains became very unpleasant. Next morning, we asked if there were other rooms available, but the concierge said if we changed rooms we would have to pay a fee. They were not accommodating at all.

Coming back to our room after a long day, we realized housekeeping changed our sheets but failed to take trash and provide us with clean glasses. The coffee area was a mess & nothing was reorganized.
From all other hotels I have stayed in, our rooms have been refreshed & reset. (might not be a big deal to some, but you are paying a good amount of money for service.)

As I'm sure, all hotels have a to be customer service oriented to have people want to book their stay. Unfortunately, we will not be booking any future stays at the Intercontinental. I hope we have someone reach out as courtesy or reimburse us for a reasonable amount due to our disappointing experience.

Good drinks, clever theme. Needs updating: full windows offered unenchanting view of billboard and car lot, no separation from loud lobby. Service was a little slow. Some comfortable seating.

Arrived July 2 for a 3 day stop over before our final destination. We enjoyed this hotel! Traveling with us were our kids, so we are a family of four.

It s location is perfect if you like to be right in the heart of everything with maybe a 2 - 15 minute walk to entertainment. It s in the theater district which is a second away from the doors. We saw Phantom of the Opera, Empire State (a walk of 15 mins), Rockefeller and a Radio City along with FAO and LEGO stores(a walk of 15 min), Central Park and Museums(we ubered bc it was over 20 min walk) and so on.

The rooms are fine, the bath is perfect and the views were of the Majestic Theater. They give you a credit of $20 a day and USE IT or Lose it. They charge $30 and give back $20 which you ll be charged $30 if you don t use your credit.

Breakfast family of four was $145. So where else to eat? Smith s Old Bar it was $7.99 and up with same exact breakfast. Dinner was best at Hell s Kitchen (Italian next to IronBar). Lunch was okay at The Harold. A little better at the Foundry and not great Pizza at John s up the street. I think chose other eatery spots rather than what we did.

Concierge was excellent! Everybody at the hotel was helpful and polite. We would stay here again.

Not what i was expecting from world name brand
1. Small rooms comparing to the price paid
2. No spa
3. Tiny gym no lockers nor changing rooms

Just a great view from some overpriced rooms

This is a good looking hotel. The common areas and guest rooms are up to date and clean, with modern decor that makes the place look classy. If you can afford it, this is a great place to stay right at Times Square.

I have stayed here 4 times now, mostly for business. It is a bit pricey, which is to be expected at that location. But you get what you pay for. It's a nice place.

The restaurant is good: nice variety for breakfast, good cocktails and snacks at night. Service can be a bit slow at night. But overall, cute place that is unique due to the honey they make/provide (look it up, kind of interesting).

My only criticisms are that the service can be a bit pretentious at times and that everything comes with a price tag. Breakfast is pretty pricey. You can easily find breakfast for half the price outside the hotel.

Nice place to stay once, I was wowed the first time. You can get more for your money elsewhere though, I believe. Still worth trying once.

By far one of the nicest hotels you can stay in in Times Square at a great price. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as well. IHG should be very proud of this upscale hotel and you won t be disappointed for staying!

Everyone at the hotel was excellent and it s a beautiful place to stay, a special note needed for the valet Bert, and the others are great. This is the place I will always stay, when I m there.

This place seems to have a very poor management

Too bad it doesn't really seem like an InterContinental hotel, the rooms are very poorly maintained, the carpets are old and not very clean, the wallpaper on the walls stained and very poorly maintained. I have been to many hotels in this chain and by far this is the worst of all it was a pretty bad experience.
I am very sorry that the users of this chain are deceived with this property, without a doubt a terrible deception. Do not be fooled better book in another hotel, for this price there are very good options in NYC.

Very nice establishment, near Times Square.

Very nice establishment, near Times Square.
Very welcoming staff.
Sports hall, conference room, parking nearby with valet parking.
The breakfast is quite simple but good.
Room service is very good.

What 5 star hotel doesn t have a lobby to seat guests?! This is extremely disappointing of a 5 star hotel. Imagining coming in at 11pm and. It having a hotel to check in at ?! One of of the worst hotel experiences in my life.

Great Hotel, Awesome Views from upper Floors lacks on amities "no pool, spa" but GREAT LOCATION..NO Complementary Coffee for guests :( the reason for 4 stars ...Hotel has in room machine but omg those are nasty do your research on Kureg :(

Other than Parking, dealing with front desk staff and concierge ( useless in attitude and ability), rest of the experience was great - doormen and other staff at the restaurant did make up in customer care. Location was very convenient !

No bad.

Deplorable phone service. I was making a reservation by phone. When I told I didn't have my credit card on me, the operator just hung up. I called back and he pretended not to be the same person (same voice, same name...).

Can I really be in the Times Square? This place is a bit of an oasis in the desert that is midtown west. Beautifully appointed lobvy, nice bar, and it even smells nice. And who cares about he pretty but tiny rooms?

It is a 4 star hotel at very best, as per the hotel, and not 5. Dirty, room had no closet, grey towels in the bathroom were used, bathroom fixtures were broken, room was intended for disabled persons, breakfast was ridiculous. When I asked the concierge to either put me in a 5 * room, or remedy the above, or I would leave, the shift manager replied he couldn't do anything. He charged me for the 1st night double the rate, I replied I would not accept it and he said I couldn't do anything, I had already accepted the charges. Horrible crooks!!!

i stayed here for three nights and at the beginning they front desk was rude and not helpful at all, horrible attitudes i couldn't even believe how these people communicated. only thing i liked was the location, until the last night when the maids cleaned my room and threw everything on my nightstand away INCLUDING my $300 retainers with NO permission, i cannot believe that is even legal, i went straight to inform the front desk and all they said was leave my number and they will call me to see what they can do, never called back, i even called everyday after the stay and all they say is they will call me back, SO unprofessional, i travel a lot and usually stay at intercontinental but after this experience i rather stay on the streets

We love the Intercontinental NYC. The views are so amazing and it s one of the best ways to enjoy a glass of wine in your room and just watch out the floor to ceiling windows. If you can get higher and facing time square, you get these amazing views of the city and even sunrises. Made waking in the morning and enjoying a cup of coffee even more relaxing. Highly recommend for romantic getaways! I m not a fan though of the restaurant, but room service is great.

Hotel near to Times Square, walking distance to Central Park. Very convenient to subway. Rooms are fairly average size, good-sized gym, only one ground-floor restaurant/bar. Check-In staff ranged a bit in terms of politeness. Be warned snacks and refrigerators in rooms are electronically-monitored; if you remove an item in your room, regardless of whether you open it or not, you will be charged. Additional $30 Amenity Charge (resort fee) added per night. This additional charge was supposed to include two bus passes, but when we went to redeem, we were informed the ticket was no longer available and had been changed to a Ripley s Believe It or Not pass. Typically, The Intercontinental has been much more positive; this last experience was much more disappointing as I feel resort fees are incredibly disingenuous. Extra note: my thanks to Vicki at The Ambassador Desk, tremendously polite.

I stayed at this location last month and it was amazing Central located and Darlene at the front desk was awesome!! She was so friendly and gave great recommendations and knowledge on what to do in the area. Darlene is a true New Yorker and a gem to the hotel.

This was my second stay at the InterContinental on Times Square. The staff were friendly on both occasions and this time in particular I was upgraded to a beautiful room/suite with multiple views of the city. I love the atmosphere of the hotel and the room was very spacious and clean. I also enjoyed dinner in-room overlooking the city and breakfast before I checked out! Thanks for making my business trips relaxing. I will definitely be staying here again!

Tried calling the front desk from the room and they never answered, so tried calling from my cell and they picked up right away asking if I was calling to make a reservation.
Went to the front desk to check out and the guy didn't even acknowledge me and extended his hand looking at his computer screen for the room keycard.
Service was not much different from what you would expect from low rate motels.

Comparing to other Intercontinental hotels we've stayed at the Times Square location had the least desirable overall attributes. However for what we needed, it was fine. Room service breakfast was hot and good. Rooms were clean. The beds felt a little too worn/used. Overall fine but would probably choose a different hotel if staying in Times Square again.
