I really wanted to love this hotel, in consideration of the name reputation and location, however I was sorely disappointed during my current stay. The rooms are not clean, with multiple instances of hair being found in the bathroom after the room had been cleaned, dirt and debris left in the toilet which would not flush correctly, a broken ice machine on my floor and when calling the front desk requesting ice be brought to my room, I was told I could go to another floor and retrieve some and then told that it would be brought to my room, but never was.

The location is nice, right next to Times Square, however I would save myself the hassle and book at another location for the price.

Excellent hotel that is located right on Times Square. Great view from the upper levels! Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. Nice bar/dining area down in the main lobby as well. Good place to grab a quick bite or drink before heading out for the evening.

Good location, reasonably priced with spacious room and nice view. Front desk and guest room service was great! They didn't have fridge in the room but after a simple call to front desk, they brought me one! Will come back.

Fantastic! I have no idea why some people gave it bad reviews. The staff was above and beyond! Friendly conversation, hailed cabs for us, gave recommendations for places to go, held the door. As far as breakfast, because of covid they could not serve any so , they gave a coupon for a lovely cafe only one block away. They validated our parking as well. The room was beautiful with a perfect view of the city!! My daughter and I will definitely return!

A nice hotel that is within very short walking distance of both Times Square as well as a subway station that will take you to any of the major tourist attractions or main subway terminals that will get you anywhere you need to go.

The rooms were always clean and bedding was very comfortable and nice.

The doormen were great, they were straight up honest with you and talked to you like you a normal person which I thought was great it made it feel less stuffy and more welcoming.

The breakfast buffet is not worth the $40.00 price tag when you can go to a local deli for a better meal for half the price.

Great location - close, but not too close to Times Square. Well equipped comfortable rooms. Very efficient elevators (never had to wait more than a minute). Great room 24 hour room service. A bit pricey, but very satisfied with the food.

Very good food, but very expensive and were not included. A small glass of juice came to almost 30 reais. The staff who worked at the reception were rude and impatient, unlike those who worked at the restaurant, who were very kind and friendly. After all, they charged a lot more than they said they were supposed to pay, they just made up an excuse to pay double and blocked our room keys until we paid what they wanted. We never returned, however the rooms were comfortable at least, but definitely not worth the absurd price with the little offered. The location is perfect, really good. But I do not recommend, they charge absurd for very little

Hosting a conference or company summit? Intercontinental is a solid option near Times Square. The food provided was great. The service for organizing our conference was very accommodating and fast acting upon any request we had. Definitely advise this place for a conference of under 400

Great room and atmosphere overall. But definitley not 5 star. The location isn t the best. Immediately out of the hotel doors are bums and constant homeless..fighting with each other and begging for money. It was very uncomfortable and i frequent NYC about twice a year. ..... Choose another hotel if spending full price We booked this on a discounted rate on Hotwire. So for that it was good. But i would never pay full price. Stay on 5th ave or Central Park.

Hotel very well located!

Hotel very well located!
The floor of the apartment left something to be desired, even though it had paid more to stay on one of the renovated and newer floors, the carpet was sticking to its feet.
The breakfast left something to be desired, it is not included and they stop putting things back before 9:30 in the morning, it is worth checking if you have what you would like to eat before paying and entering

Sleek and modern hotel conveniently located near Times Square but far enough to be away from noise. Easy walk to a lot of attractions. Restaurant open late, concierge is knowledgeable, service is top notch.

great location, room needs help. we did the SkyView double, nice view. it was clean but worn...except for the bathroom, and the shower was great... except for the parts that kept falling off. tv is weird, shuts itself off often, and no mini fridge. a glass of wine at stinger's is about 16. mostly covered by the extra fee you are paying. After booking through the IHG app and staying there from march 6-10, i still have no idea how much we actually paid. We paid for breakfast, too, but it was never actually made clear how that works. I tried to ask at check-in, but i got the "bad one" of the three check-in clerks and she was just nasty. im an easy-going guy, and had done everything right (because I'm a dork of reasonable intelligence) and still just got brushed off. When I tried to get things explained, both at check-in, a few times during our stay, and at check-out, it seemed like they were hoping that it takes too long to find someone, and you will give up, which i recommend. Not worth ruining a trip. I would recommend booking directly from ihg, using a separate credit card for this place and not stress over it, bring a collapsible cooler for ice (i need diet coke), stay on a high floor and don't try to check in from 2-5 (at least not with the agent i had). As is often the case, the doormen, bellmen and housekeeping were flawless, but management seems to be otherwise occupied.

I visited this hotel to wait for my daughter who was at choir rehearsal for a concert at Carnegie Hall. There was not much seating or a waiting area in the lobby. When I took the escalator down to the meeting rooms area, there was absolutely no seating to wait for her. The meeting rooms were nice, but they need seating.

Of the many hotels we have stayed at over the world. (Including the London Ritz). We rated this the most pleasant hotel experience we have ever had. It ticked all the boxes. Location. Housekeeping. Wonderful polite pleasant staff from front desk to Stingers Bar. From the doormen. Bell staff. Terrific. Close to all dining and bar outlets. Simply outstanding. Will make it our base on future visits. Excellent.

Lovely hotel. Friendly, helpful staff willing to do little extras for you. Well appointed room. Had everything you would need. Very comfortable and restful. Loved the large walk-in shower.

I attended a meeting here but stayed at a nearby hotel. Considering the $$ spent on that meeting & the guest rooms sold, the hotel should allow attendees to access the lobby's guest wifi, but they wouldn't give out the code at front desk. Chintsy, don't you think?! I won't stay there.

FrontDesk personell is very unprofessional and shows no courtesy at all. Owned by manager Robert Carvajal!
Bed sheets are old and deteriorated (looks like cats have been housed in the room). I called the hotel phone number to reserve a room for two nights. I was promised a room in the 37th floor. Once arrived to check in I was told the hotel has only 36 floors and that they have a room for me at the 31st floor. I was very unhappy about this because I paid around 500 a night mainly because I was promised a room at the highest floor! When I asked for the manager I explained how unhappy I am about the situation and that I would be soothed by a breakfast on the house. This offer of mine to clear the situation was rejected by Robert Carvajal, the manager. Throughout the entire conversation he talked to me but looked at my companion. How rude is that... The bed sheets had lots of loose strings and looked very old. When I checked out they wanted to extra charge me 10 USD for breakfast which was 1 of the 2 days included in my booking! I was told the extra charge was because I ate too much (how rude is that)! I only had pancakes and fruits and I am not overweight! The Kittchen by the way does an excellent job and the pancakes were superb! But do yourself a favor and look for another hotel !

All round very good, Clean and tidy rooms, all employees had good knowledge about the area especially the doorman Michael.

Maybe 3.5. Great location and nice rooms. Concierge bit dismissive if not his area you're asking about and tea and coffee supplies not replenished properly so always running out - plus housekeeping kept turning the aircon right down so it was sub-zero temperatures every time we came back to our room! Lovely bar though.

IHG Free Night Exchange Room~ You can bring pets for free ! It is also near Times Square, with convenient transportation. The view is quite good. If you live in a high-rise room, you can see the wonderful buildings around Times Square. The night view is even more intoxicating, and you can feel the call of Empire State firsthand~

PS: The TV is relatively old and cannot be connected to HDMI, but...can watch the international Chinese channel of CCTV Suitable for the elderly

Desperately needs renovation. Drawers are broken, faucets are loose, and walls are stained. Location is absolutely phenomenal, however. It's right next to the port authority. The A, C, and E subway stops at the hotel more or less (subway station entrance right next to the hotel). Rooms are small. The delux upgrades? Don't get too excited. It's about the same size as a regular holiday Inn room, if not smaller. The customer service is great. Front desk is always very amicable and gets issues solved quickly. Ask them anything, they'll get it done.

So, I left the 5 star 2 yrs ago, on returning from our stay here, but no actual review. I just want to add a bit extra. Our rooms were great, so comfortable, loads of room for 4 of us, myself, two teen daughters and my mam. We used room service, which was great and the man who brought it up was pleasant, very happy and nothing was too much to ask. When leaving to go and get breakfast the next morning, our doormen, were absolutely the best! After wishing us a good morning, asked if we had plans, then gave suggestions on where we could go for a breakfast. We took their advice and I have to say, they weren't wrong...it was just what we needed! All of the staff were great...but the doormen go above and beyond, definitely an asset to the InterContinental Hotel. The hotel is well situated for a stay in New York. You are a short walk from Times Square, Broadway and can easily get to Central park. There are buses close by that you can hop on and off to get to wall street and many other places. Anyway, the experience and stay here, has left such an impression and part of great memories, that we miss being there and can't imagine staying anywhere else...so much so, that we are planning another stay hopefully early next year and the year after...and we can't wait
