You know how everyone jokes about fake thermostats in their hotel rooms? Yeah, it's not really funny. Room temperature hovered around 75-76 all night, no matter what we did with the thermostat. Other than not being able to sleep, everything else was fine.

Location was perfect for us, walk to everything easy. Rooms large & bathroom good. We had a shower over the bath which I don t like. Work out the taps before u get in if u don t want wet hair.Beds & pillows really comfy.Bar area really nice & light snacks available. We enjoyed this area. Drinks a bit pricey, but normal for a bar like this.

The hotel it self was lovely, a great mksxutr of modern but also homey with art work on the walls and flowers. The rooms were excellent. Clean, comfiest beds I've ever slept on at a hotel, not to mention a lovely few of the NYC. My next trip I have definitely going back there.

Two stars because the beds are large and the room is clean. But im afraid the whole experience of New York has been a bit of a downer as this hotel just doesn't meet the grade. We complained the first night we arrived as the room wasnt completed before our arrival monday 16th July...but hey we only booked in March. Dirty dishes left outside our door and half filled snack and beverage tray. We have not heard anything back as yet....but im going to give them time to redeem themselves.

We had an awesome view from our room on the 34th floor. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable to sleep in. It would have been a 5 had there not been noise we could hear through the door and walls during our stay from others on our floor. Not a huge downside, considering the great location and views!

Nice lobby, very attractive but gives a false hope about the rooms. Horrible views, but no parking, no no valet, no breakfast ($25.00). No my ideal of a good night stay in NYC. Best off getting a hotel with parking and breakfast for the exact same cost about 3 blocks away from "Time Square". Just horrible for the rate.

nice

Enjoyed a very nice 3 night stay in room 3212.

Pros: Location is very convenient. Close to the A,C,E line and the Port Authority. Lots of great restaurants in the area. Around the corner from Shake Shack. Gym is huge and has a lot of equipment and weights. Had a beautiful sky view. Beds are comfortable. King Size bed had King Size pillows! (I get annoyed when King Size beds have standard size pillows.) Service was good.

Cons:. Not sure what happened but I lost my Bose headphones from the room. I called the hotel after checking out, but Frank from Security didn't find them. Not sure if they were taken one day from my room or I left them in the room and the maid threw it out. Either way, I don't have my Bose headphones.

Would I stay here again? I think so. But I would lock up any valuables.

Fantastic hotel pretty much in the heart of Manhattan. Located 2 blocks from port authority bus station and 1 block from times square. 2 from Broadway. Gym facility isn't bad. Was served by Nic at reception. What a star.

Overall, I'd give Intercontinental hotel 4 stars, but with Nic's services this review gets 5 stars

You get what you pay for. Comfortable beds, clean room with all the amenities you would expect. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is the breakfast buffet was incredible mediocre and highly over priced. If you don't eat at the restaurant, the rest was very pleasant.

Possibly the worst hotel in the entire manhattan area. They up charge you $30 per day on top of what you have already paid and come up with many unknown charges. The room is small, dirty and humid. Rude staffs. I would give this place a negative 5 stars if possible. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Incredibly friendly and professional staff, complemented by gorgeous interior decor and design. Rooms are modern, so as to pair with the rest of the hotel's design language. Centrally located, the hotel is steps away from Times Square.

Amazing location as well as hotel room. My hotel room had a nice view of downtown Manhattan buildings. The room was equipped with all basic necessities I could think of. The reception staff was sweet and helpful.

This was our second trip to NYC and whereas we stayed at the Westin Times Square when we last visited on our honeymoon, this time around we wanted somewhere a little cheaper but still close to the action of Time Square. The hotel was in a perfect location and the services and rooms were of a very high quality. The view from our window was perfect, I was transfixed as to how the car park across the road worked and spend more time than I should have gawping out of the window as the cars were going up and down on a lift. The views only got better when you looked down the street and you could see the ladies strutting their stuff in the dance school above the jazz bar below, the street had everything. For the price and location I cannot fault this hotel and look forward to my next trip...

Terrible experience at check-in. Michael Budner, the arrogant & insensitive general manager should be fired. Nothing special about the rooms either. There is literally 12 inches between the bed and the TV. The carpets are incredibly dirty. They were actually blood stains in the hallway. The gym smells like mold and the equipment is falling apart. Too bad I couldn't give this property 0 Stars I'll never stay at an IHG property in any city ever again.

Good hotel right in theatre district. Had a corner room with great views to times square. Moderately priced and convenient. Also had a Shake Shack attached on the corner better than the room service menu. Have stayed here several times over the last few years. They are doing some updates and should make the hotel nicer. Park across the street and it is discounted by almost 30$

[October 2018, Family Travel 4 nights] InterContinental New York Times Square The biggest advantage is the convenience of location, near Times Square and Broadway, there is a subway station. The room equipment is not bad, the view is good, the breakfast is exquisite. Prices are high but value for money.

Recently stayed 3 nights. Run into some issues. The staff took a stressful situation and turned it into a positive one immediately.
Great customer relations and service. Would definitely book this hotel again.

We stayed here for five nights in May as a family of three. It was part of a package holiday with British airways. Perfect location, handy for Times square, subway station and shopping. We were only on the sixth floor so not the greatest of views but not really an issue. Our room was a good size as was the bathroom. Coffee, hairdryer, ironing board and large tv all great. Generally, this hotel is for the corporate type and certainly comes with a corporate price. Hence we did not indulge in the mini bar, restaurant or bar. Most people went round the corner for breakfast to the Westway diner, which was superb. All in all we were fortunate to get into such an ideally located hotel but I'm not sure we would have chosen it otherwise. To be fair, the service and cleaning was very good and no real complaints so we certainly had a good time here.

Rating for the conference facilities only. Underground they are pretty good one you get to the main rooms. The associated rooms for break outs can feel a tad cramped with lower ceilings than the main room. Staff is generally helpful.

Solid hotel in a decent location. Some nice in-room amenities, but no laundry. The shake shack next door, a mcd's across the street, and a duane reed around the corner are very convenient. The Times Sq-42st station will get you to most of the island quick. One issue - the rain fall shower head is cool and all but the water doesnt all drain out and pink mold was growing on some of the shower head sprays. Over $300 a night to shower in pink mold...

Stayed here for three nights and the overall experience was bad. Strangely, though in hospitality industry, most of the front desk staff were anything but hospitable. Their terse replies and stubborn posturing surely makes one feel unwelcome. The experience of New York was made less appealing because of the overall experience at this place. The only thing going for this hotel is the location. Just a few minutes walk from Times Square and few rooms have a good view. Metro accessibility is also good with a station just next door.

If I could give a ZERO review I would. My parents and my sister had reservations at this hotel for a weeks stay, since we live in Illinois, and were told at check-in that they had CANCELED their reservations and that they were booked. This was at 8:30, 9:00 at night and my parents had NO WHERE TO GO. Not only did they cancel the reservation for their stay but they were COMPLETELY rude to my parents and left them out on the streets of New York City. This is their first time EVER going to New York and this was the worst experience my family has ever had. Ridiculous. Horrible.

Nice

Hotel below expectations .. staff at the reception rude .. cold .. do not know other languages apart from English .. rooms on the lower floors obviously without a view .. highly strategic position .. not to go back ..

Great!

Love the room and the shower. Spacious and beautiful. Am disappointed that the fridge is unusable except to purchase overpriced snacks. My medication requires refrigeration, and a second fridge had to be delivered to the room for the medication that takes the same space as a large water bottle. I can't see how that is cost effective. However, the room, decor and conference areas are all top notch.

The InterContinental is very clean. While I was here to work at the Javits center, this hotel is close to the NYC that people come to visit. Times Square and Broadway are right here. The food surrounding the hotel in 10 blocks is amazing. For NYC the hotel has very large rooms, with limited NYC noise. A good place to stay.
