I drove many different brands of similarly priced vehicles before deciding to to drive the Audi Q 5. At Hoffman Audi, I was approached by Peter Helou (sales). Peter was attentive to what I was looking for in a Q5 and provided useful information about options prior to my test drive. I chose a vehicle that best suited by driving style and optioned as I requested. The test drive was a long ride, with Peters only concern that I feel comfortable in the vehicle. It was a no pressure environment that resulted in my purchase of the car. What I was anticipating to be a frustrating process was quite the contrary. I'm expecting my experience with the Hoffman Service center to be as good as the purchase experience.

Recently purchased an A6 from Audi of East Hartford and had an excellent experience. I was specifically referred to Adrian by a co-worker. Terrible Service. Bring your vehicle to a reputable dealer. This dealership is not willing to help and possibly incompetent. I have a 10 Audi Q5 that has a leaking fuel pump flange. This issue is under recall. I called Hoffman Audi of East Hartford. They said this issue was addressed 9 months ago on the vehicle and the recall is closed. That there wasn't anything they could do for me. The part is clearly leaking so and they aren't willing to help. They either didn't address the problem or they fixed it incorrectly. Either way, they say the recall is closed and aren't willing to help. This is a major safety issue. The gas tank is leaking from this issue. A known Audi issue and they just turn the other way. Find a dealer with good Customer Service. Hoffman Audi clearly doesn't have any customer service.

Once I was able to get in touch with a service rep by phone things went smoothly. But I must say the phone system is terrible. Why isn't there one clearly identified phone number to reach Audi Service in East Hartford? And when you supposedly do get to the appropriate department the phone rings incessantly and then you get the vm for someone who is supppsedly in the service area but you'd never know by the greeting. And I never got a call back. Email seems to work best. But that's not the way it should be.
I recently purchased a 2018 Audi Q5 from Hoffman. My sales rep, John Gomes, did a great job. I had previously bought a 2013 A4 from Hoffman and was on the fence between an new A4 and a Q5. John took me for test drives with both vehicles, providing a great comparison between the two models; similarities, differences, advantages of one vs. another. I felt well informed when I left so that I could easily make my decision. No pressure to buy that day, which I really appreciate when it comes to the car buying experience (I never buy the same day :-)). I was very comfortable with the whole transaction. Everyone I dealt with was great, but John gets the lion's share of the credit. Great experience overall. This is my second car from Hoffman Audi and I would definitely go back again.

I recently purchased a new 2017 Audi A4 from Hoffman Audi and had a great experience working with them. They worked with me to meet my needs on budget, and the salesperson I worked with (Ron Palladino) went out of his way to get me the exact car I wanted in the colors I wanted, even though it wasn't on their lot (they found and delivered it from Massachusetts). Everyone I worked with at Hoffman was very patient with me as a first time car buyer and made me feel comfortable making such an important purchase.
I've been to several CT Audi dealers for service and Hoffman has been the best. Even the one time there was an issue with a repair, they fixed it the same day then refunded my costs.
I worked with William first thing on a Saturday morning, he helped me learn about and price several cars and options and figure out exactly what Audi fit my needs. He was friendly, professional and easy to work with. I don't hestitate to recommend William and Hoffman Audi even if you think you just MIGHT be interested in an Audi.

I wish I felt the same and could write the same hugely positive review like the last 10 plus times but unfortunately my last visit at Hoffman s left me speechless... every time I left any of my Audi s in Hoffman s hands (especially Alex Serrano s) and got into a loaner car I didn t have to worry about a thing and was always treated with dignity and respect. This time Alex was not available. Another service advisor checked me in and I was on my way in a loaner car. An hour and half later I got a text that service is complete and my car is ready for pickup either today or tomorrow (Saturday). I politely replied to it that I just got home and might not be able to pick it up on Saturday due to a funeral and If I could pick it up on Monday morning before work (I work 4 minutes from Hoffman s). In response to that I got the following: You would need to pick it up by the end of the day tomorrow. Thanks ..... This was never an issue and I know that Alex would allow me to pick my car up on Monday or even later if there was a need .....
After that message I got into a loaner went through a car wash and filled it up with fuel. Drove for an hour in traffic to return it and pick my car up. I always wash the loaner and fill it to the max in appreciation for what the dealer does (DID for me in the past). Hoffman was always taking good care of the customer and their prized possessions. Unfortunately it has changed. I was treated like nobody and my car wasn t even washed (they always washed clients cars). Hate to say it but I have been Hoffman s patron since 2003 and after 16 years I have no choice but to cut ties and try a different venue ...
My car had a recall for Takata airbags. This recent visit was already a second one for the same issue (first time the appointment was canceled 2 hours before due to not having the replacement part). As soon as I got into the car the airbag light was ON! I just refused to turn back and talk to anybody at Hoffman s about it after being treated like this....
I would never ever in my life even for a second think that someone that was the best (Hoffman was voted best of Hartford 18 years in a row and I have voted for at least 15) would turn to this. That was probably my worst experience ever at any auto service place PERIOD!!!

It looks like while everybody else is moving forward and improving Hoffman took a step back in customer service and care. Even though they are moving forward with technology and appearance they should not forget that it is a client based business and we the clients will always stay human beings....

Service manager was pleasant and easy to work with. However the suggestion was immediately made to do the most complex service for the problem I had. I felt there were not clear steps taken to identify/vet lower level solutions to the problem. Upon taking my car to another shop to get the maintenance done I was able to confidently solve the problem with a simpler part replacement preventing what would have been a large and unnecessary expense.
I am very impressed and satisfied with the excellent service that I received from Alexis Serrano. He is very professional, he clearly explained to me what to expect from this service and I gladly received what he offered. All members of the service team were very polite and attentive. I will come back at any time and I recommend this place.
Called at 9:00AM to make sure an advertised car was still there and available. I was informed it was available and asked for a time when I would be there so they could have it ready for me to view and drive. I called again at noon and informed them I would be there at 1:00PM. I was told that I am all set and I would have a sales person there to meet me with the car. When I got there, no one was expecting me and they could not find the car. After 30 minutes of walking the lot and looking for the car I was informed it was already sold. Guess what happened next - they showed me a more expensive car. WASTE OF TIME

I had a great experience at Hoffman Audi. I had purchased a Mercedes GLE 350 a few weeks prior and the seats were very uncomfortable. I drove the Audi Q7 and the seats were amazingly comforatable and I was able to get a great price on the Q7 and my trade and took it home the same day. Melissa and Louis were outstanding. Highly recommend.
Mike was very pleasant to deal with and took the time to show me how to use a very confusing feature of the car. He also did a good job sending me status updates and checked with me before doing any additional services. Rocky was also great to work with and kept me updated on the status of the repair.
Terrific service and diagnosis. After discovering that a rodent had done damage to the wiring in my Q5, they fixed the problem in a couple of hours and I was on my way. I was impressed. Rocky is the best!

Everyone that works at Hoffman Audi seemed very nice... didn't expect an $800 bill for rear brakes and rotors on a vehicle that only had 26,000 miles and with NO city driving. Perhaps the service manager could have explained why rear brakes wear out so quickly on Q5's better... be aware when you decide to buy or lease this car... apparently this is the norm.
I would not go anywhere else to purchase a car. I have purchased 4 cars from the Hoffman group so far and they have earned my loyalty. Currently, Stacey, Jackie, James and Sarah have been helping me out and they are all amazing. No waiting, everything can be done ahead of time and through email - truly exceptional service. I have no stats to put because my service there has been the worse and it s still going. For starters, I dropped my 2007 Audi Q7 off to reprogram the cluster I switched out and the battery I replaced. It s not much but after a $600 bill I go to pick up my car after hours and it had a shattered windshield. I took pictures and even left a voicemail when I picked it up to show my innocence but the following morning when I went back this is what I was told by the service manager, we are not responsible for cars parked on the lot out back . I was confused because I never parked the car nor did it ever leave the Audi parking lot. They blamed me for the windshield and never covered it. My advice, don t leave your cars there overnight unless it s known that it is inside the facility. THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for any damages on their property even if they parked it themselves. That s what the service manager told me

I basically bought my new Audi convertible over the internet. Ashleigh and Mark were so helpful providing information , pictures , and videos that I felt completely comfortable that they had the perfect car for me. I put down a CC deposit and they had the car ready to pick up in 2 days.
When I picked it up they explained everything in the car to me, which was a lot between all the features and NAV system. The dealership was spotless clean as was the car. Everyone I dealt with there was professional and courteous. If you are interested in a new or used Audi I would recommend using Hoffman Audi as they know how to treat customers.
I was traveling from New York to Hartford and my car was making a very loud squealing sound. I drove to the nearest dealer on a busy Saturday. somehow they squeezed me in and found and removed a stone that was creating the sound.

Unlike other dealership, This site has a good number of sale representative that take the time to listen and understand what you are looking to purchase. My sale rep (John Gomes, Jr) was very insightful, Informative and was able to assist me on choosing the right car. He did not seem pushy like the typical use car salesman. Rather he gave me time to make the right decision. I live about 50 min away from this site in East Hartford. Whenever, I have any major concerns or questions about the vehicle, I prefer to drive to this site rather then going to my local Audi. If you are looking for an Audi to purchase, don t hesitate to use this dealership as your first stop to evaluate these cars. Consider using the same rep I did (John Gomes, Jr).
I was very happy with the courtesy and the service provided for a recall. The car wash and loaner provided etc. However, I wasnt happy with my experience overall. While the car was there I wanted a couple issued checked out. I had a leak and also antenna issues. My Audi was purchased used from another import dealer, however was previously serviced with Hoffman so it is a local car. I felt like they didnt qant anything to do with servicing the car. I was given a generic quote of $985 for a vacuum pump which I later found out after further diagnosis which was free from another Audi dealership that it was ONLY the seal and the cost was significantly less. I was given a dead-ended response on the antenna indicating it would probably be $2,000 to diagnosis and fix. I left feeling that clearly these issues have come up with others and I didnt feel like they wanted my business.

I normally love this dealership. I drive 25 minute out of my way when there is another on my normal loop to work. Courtesy. Kind. Professional. "Driven By Trust" However this last visit of mine i had to call in to see if my car was finished. The advisor said "oh they were supposed to call you last Friday". Two days had gone by with no call. The problem is that in a busy life I would much rather have driven up there on a day off rather than very early in AM to get my car. I had no chance for that as it turned out. So 2 stars this time around.
I have now used Hoffman Audi of East Hartford for service twice.
The first time, my car was towed their after a low oil level warning. When I picked up the car over a week later, it was covered in 4 inches of ice and snow (my car was spotless when I sent it to them). They knew when I was coming to pick up my car, yet had done nothing to keep my car clear.
The second time, was for an oil change. Upon learning that I had a coupon, that they had not known about, the service adviser was visibly annoyed, and once I was seated at this desk, picked up the printed invoice, turned and faced me, and then ripped it multiple times. Not exactly the most professional behavior.
My repairs/work has otherwise been done satisfactorily however. And they constantly update you via text message which I found unique and particularly convenient.
Took good care of me even though they were busy and I did not have a scheduled appointment. Thanks Michael I.
20,000 mile service interval - superb dealership experience
Went in to have my Q7 service (fan motor went bad) and wanted to see an A7. I liked it then I came back with my wife and she liked it so we traded in the Q for an A. Brandon helped us thru the process which was quick and painless. One of the faster purchases we have done. Came back a few hours later to a perfectly clean new A7.Love the car. Thanks Brandon!!

My satisfaction with Hoffman is varied.
We purchased a used car. The sales process was flawless. 81 days later I brought the car in for routine maintenance and to report a couple of issues with the car. The car was well under the 5000 mile warranty. They informed me the car needed $3600 in repairs and the warranty was 60 days or 5000 miles. I was very disappointed that Hoffman was not willing to stand behind the product. I stopped using their service department.
A couple years later I needed service and my mechanic was unavailable so I took it to Hoffman. They let me know the service it needed was covered by a recall which saved me $500.
I will try using their service department again but I'm not likely to purchase a car there again.

My service appointment was exactly what I was promised. The shuttle was convenient (Tom was friendly and prompt), I was updated throughout the day by my adviser (Rocky Subramani)and the cost was about what I expected. I was able to save money because Rocky advised me that the headlight I had purchased elsewhere could be returned because it was a warranty item. Very convenient getting texts with updates. I chose Hoffman because I purchased my car privately and I was told it would be top-notch and it truly exceeded expectation. Thank you, Rocky!

Everyone I've met at Hoffman Audi (from sales to service) has treated me like a valued human and customer. Service is quick and the amenities are very nice. My last service even came with a lovely "summer gift" for my family to enjoy the beach. Classy!!! I'd definitely consider purchasing from Hoffman again.
Begrudgingly, came here for an emergency repair. I ve been to this dealership before to purchase. However, the staff had such a dismissive attitude, I ultimately purchased from the New London Hoffman Audi, who was delightful. My mother also received the same regard from staff and she too purchased from another dealership, as a result! Danbury Audi is also wonderful!
I dropped off the vehicle Friday at 5pm for a tire change. It was not ready until 2pm Saturday. I did not expect the repair to take place Friday, however, 6 hours to address a tire change is excessive. The Manhattan dealership had a shorter wait period with even less notice if repair needs and has a much higher volume! Regardless, Michael I. was rude from the start. While dropping off the car, he requested additional information from me to process the repairs warranty. While I was on the phone obtaining the information he interrupted me and announced, I m leaving, it s after 5pm and my shift is over. We can address this tomorrow. It was, however, 4:57 and he still had 3 minutes to go. He texted an apology the next day with the excuse he had to pick up his daughter. While likely, that explanation would have been warranted at the time of departure, not the next day. If a service rep has to leave due to personal obligations, ask a colleague to step into your customer service role.
Additionally, the tech took a video of a 12 point inspection. Nevertheless he failed to inform me another tire on the vehicle required replacing. I picked up the vehicle, drove 2 miles to get gas and noticed the 2nd tire damage. I immediately informed Michael and he implied I damaged it within the 5 minutes after pickup. He told me to refer to the video as proof the damage was not present during service. I reviewed the video and it revealed the damage was there. I forwarded a screen shot of the image to Michael, while blurry, one could clearly see it was damaged. Nevertheless, Michael denied any responsibility.
I scheduled repairs with the New London dealership even though it s 1 hour out of the way. They had me in/ out within 45 minutes. They were kind, punctual and hospitable. Everything East Hartford is NOT! I suggest no one ever go to this dealership. If o could give it negative stars, I would.

Good service but too darn expensive.. over inflated pricing and I am seriously thinking to go to an outside service center... I got a quote for a similar job from an independent Audi authorized service center which was 35% cheaper..
Extremely disappointed in Hoffman Audi of East Hartford. I recently got a diagnosis service and was told that I needed $4100 in repairs, extremely high costs. On top of that, there were no loaners cars for two weeks out of the day I called to get it serviced, very inconvenient and not accommodating. I went for a second opinion on my car and decided to get it diagnosed by a different mechanic. Turns out my $4100 repair cost went down to $350 because all I needed was spark plugs. All my misfire codes went off and the car runs perfectly smooth. So not only would I have paid $4100 to fix the car at Hoffman Audi, but the diagnosis video I was sent, did not even address spark plugs at all. Therefore, my issue would not have been solved even after spending that tremendous amount of money. I m just disappointed and its hard to trust any dealership of Audi from now on.
Wonderful, car was returned clean and they applied discounts from a previous repair that had to be done again due to a seaperate malfunction.
I had a great experience at Hoffman Audi the other day when I was there for a recall for my airbag.. Michael pointed out different things that need to be done to my car to Keep It running well but Did not pressure me to do it that day I Appreciated that. One of the Sales. representatives also help me out with a phone charger because mine was dying I appreciated that also. I also appreciated the car wash And vacuum of the car that was very unexpected thank you very much

The video walk around of my car was nice. They tried to set me up to buy things such as an air filter and cabin filter which i already knew were just changed a few months ago but thats like every other dealership. They did give me a loaner vehicle which was nice but it comes with the bill your going to pay. I was also told a wash and vacuum would be included as part of my service but the service manager told me they are understaffed and had to lay off people so they were not able to wash or vacuum my car. For a 507 dollar oil change and an alignment i figured the manager should be outside washing my car himself by hand. I wont be going back any time soon.
