Deplorable! How deceptive can salesmen be? Mysister s recent Audi A3 purchase at Hoffman Audiin East Hartford , CT turned out to be horrendous. The owner is a bold face fabricator. He implored my sister to work with the dealer, but how can you trust a business that is so deceitful?
In the first week, my sister brought her 2018 certified pre owned Audi back to the dealership two times. This is a car that passed their extensive check list. A fact they were proud to state.
First, a tire was slashed and covered up by Armarol. Second, the damaged tire was replaced, but when we asked for paperwork to prove the tire was new, they would not obliged her with documentation. Third, another tire, the front driver side tire lost 20 pounds of air one day after leaving the dealership.
All this was approached with a casual matter of fact attitude. Apparently, spending thirty thousand dollars isn t enough for them to care.
There is no such thing as peace of mind! Although Hoffman boasted thirty years in business, they obviously haven t mastered quality customer service.
After we purchased the car, they were rude, unsympathetic, and totally neglectful. Now, the owner, manager, salesmen don t even return my sister s phone calls. Would you consider this treatment to be reflective of a honorable, trustworthy business?

Brought car in for 25k service and expected it to be all covered by Audi Care. They did 'Haffman recommended' service and charged me $340 for tire balancing and alignment! They never told me balancing and alignment is not included in Audi Care. I feel like it's unnecessary work.
I put a lot of time researching for my first 'nice' car but when I found it I was lucky that my car was also at Hoffman Audi of East Hartford. From the first phone call I received a professional treatment and they even picked me up from the airport (in an audi a7) when I went to see the car. Adrian Hester showed me all about the car during and after the test drive and he made the process of buying and spending significant $$ that day a lot less stressful than expected. To top it all off, after the purchase was made, he followed up with a call later that day since I was driving it back to VA just to make sure things were going well plus he mailed me complimentary touch-up paint for the very small (very very small) spots that my used car had...those are the extra things that confirmed me that I got lucky with the dealership and that I need to make sure to check there first for my next car purchase...keep up the great work!
My experience at Hoffman Audi is all due to to Peter Devylder. Although I was not able to find the vehicle I was looking for at the time I visited the dealership, Peter was able to walk me through the process of purchasing a pre-owned Audi. He has great expertise on Audis and the car industry in general. But what is the most important to me (and really the only reason I am writing this review) is that Peter provided me with tremendous customer service. He emailed and called me keeping me in the loop without being annoying or "salesy." Great customer service!
I walked into the Hoffman Audi dealership today to buy a 2009 A4. I was initially worried about the potential of being 'haggled', but this was NOT the case at all, it was a great experience! Mark is an excellent salesperson, which made me feel at ease. I would certainly recommend Hoffman Audi in a second.
Hoffman s service folks are terrific from the time you make an appointment, drop off car, pick up loaner until you pick up your car. They explain the issues, fixes and costs. There are never surprises. Always appreciate Athena, Rob & Tony s customer focus!

Made an appointment and Ron promptly called me to confirm a time. As soon as I got there, he greeted me and got me right into a Q3 and Q5 to test drive. I knew I loved the Q5 right away, but Ron never pressured me into making a decision. He even offered to introduce me to a sales associate at their sister dealership in case I wanted to try another car. Negotiations were a breeze and I was able to get my Q5 later that week. Ron gave me a great overview of the car and made sure I got through the paperwork quickly. Overall, had an excellent experience and would work with him again any time! And I love the car!

I had a great experience at Hoffman Audi. I traded in my BMW for a Q5 and could not be happier. My sales person was Andrew Daniel and he was on top of it. I had to get a special business loan because I am on a J1 visa in the USA and he was able to get it done very quickly and without much hassle. This is a great place to go and get a new Audi, everyone is very nice and professional, highly recommend it!

This is a great dealership for service. I arrived and checked in within a few minutes even though they were busy. I had a short wait for a shuttle. They called to explain needed repair- brakes and then made the repair quickly. Shuttle driver came asap, repairs explained again by advisor and I was on my way. All employees are polite and nice to deal with!
Received a recall notice for my Audi and had to bring it in. Not my choice. I arranged for a loaner vehicle. I drove home and back a total of only 26 miles. I was charged $9.60 for 2.4 gallons of gas. I guess my A6 loaner gets less than 11 miles per gallon! Ridiculous. How about compensating me for my time? Again, it was a recall visit. Buy a luxury vehicle and get buckle and dimed. Never again.
I would highly recommend Hoffman Audi. I had a great experience with the purchase of a certified pre-owned Audi A3. The entire process was professional and stress free. Every point of contact was great. I was able to check out the car on my own schedule, a fair offer was given on the trade in vehicle. The new Audi was delivered and they even offered to pick up the trade in vehicle. Dylan was great to deal with as well as the manager and the finance specialist. It is so refreshing and rare to experience such a high level of satisfaction.
I went in to Hoffman Audi of East Hartford interested in an A4 Quattro. I stopped in and was greeted with a smile by Adrian Hester. After a facility tour and test drive, I decided I had found the A4 I was looking for. I called Adrian the next day to get the process started. Correspondence with Adrian was an absolute breeze - he always promptly returned my phone calls and responded to emails almost instantly. Adrian met me at the dealership to take delivery of the car...on his day off, and was very happy to do so. He went over everything I needed to know inside and out of the vehicle. Adrian is a true professional and made me an extremely happy customer. I was changing jobs and needed to buy a car since I have had a company car for 14 years. I have not been in a dealership since. I decided to drive a lot of cars. When I came to Audi East Hartford I was most excited because I have owned an Audi before and in the back of my mind wanted another.
I met Steve and he was fantastic. He brought me on some test drives and explained all I needed to know about the car. I finally picked one and I can't tell you how happy I am. Of course the first day of my new job we had a snow storm but I felt safe driving my new Audi in the snow. It handled great! Thanks
I had recently purchased a used car from Hoffman Audi. After driving it for a couple of days I believed the alignment was off. I called to make an appointment to have it checked out and they were very accommodating (I had to travel 45 mins and I have a busy schedule). They were very thorough and gave me detailed information showing the work that was done. Excellent service!
Horrible customer service. Refused to honor my warranty on the car for a 300$ fix. Spent 2 weeks fighting to get the car fixed and eventually had to have it towed to another audi dealer who honored the warranty and fixed the car. Will never go back again, not even for an oil change.
Hoffman Audi is without question the place to visit if you are looking for a quality car and hassle free experience. Adrian is a very knowledgeable and attentive salesman who truly takes the time to make sure his customers are satisfied throughout the whole car buying or leasing process. I brought my car in for an alignment to make sure I got the most out of my new tires. They were running a special so I seized the opportunity. At some point in the afternoon they contacted me to let me know that they needed to torch the left tie-rod end to get it to turn for adjustment. They had to charge me an hour of labor for this though I suspect it took much less. They were kind enough to discount the hour by $40 but that still made it twice as much as I was prepared to pay. I am not against them making money per.se. but it is interesting to note that the car had been aligned a month prior and no mention was made of the left front not being adjustable and yet their before and after numbers do indicate that an adjustment was made. Ultimately I am happy with how the alignment turned but if I ever get it done again on this car I will likely go to all four corners and make sure the adjustment points are free to turn.
I recently purchased an A4 at Hoffman Audi in East Hartford. My BMW had died, and I had been looking at Audi as a replacement option.
A friend strongly recommended Hoffman, so I went there, and the experience was great. No pressure, no rush of sales people swarming me (like you experience in some dealerships). Instead, it was very relaxed, and efficient, and all the details were easily worked out.
I worked with Dylan Bigge and he was superb. He took care of everything. Since taking delivery of the car I've loved every minute of driving it. A quality car, and a quality car buying experience.
I would strongly recommend Audi as a brand and Hoffman Audi as the dealer you should visit to get yours.

The salesmen were knowledgeable and instrumental in my final decision, without being pushy. The place itself is nice and clean with drinks and snacks in the waiting room. I ended up leasing the 2019 A4 and love it. The process was similar to any other lease/purchase and I was able to drive the car right out that same night. My only complaints are that the detailing before I took the car home was a bit rushed and I had expected the interior to have been cleaned better. Lastly, I had only received one convenience key the day of pickup since they had to swap cars with another dealership. Supposedly, the second one was supposed to be FedEx over already but I haven't received it yet (been a week). I've reached out and awaiting a response. That being said, I would still highly recommend this dealership if you're looking to get yourself an Audi.
The service department at Hoffman Audi is the BEST! Elliot is amazing. He is the reason I service my vehicle at Hoffman Audi. He has always made servicing my vehicles easy & pleasurable. He goes out of his way to answer any questions I may have, he returns my calls promptly. He is very friendly and approachable. He makes sure that I am always happy when I leave.

Way overpriced!!!!! Every Audi service center I've quoted is way cheaper than them. They tried to take avantage of me because Im a female. Never again. No sir. Theu lucky i dont report there behinds. The same service my Audi service center did for me they tried to charge me an additional $1000!!!!!!!! My advice... no matter where you live. Do not go there EVER! RIP OFF

Rocky in Service was great in navigating the repair of my rear hatch two weeks before my warranty ended. When the parts got lost in transit he did everything to apologize and help to get it expedited
I purchased a car through Hoffman Audi last year. Alfonso was a great salesman and was excellent with the test drive and answering questions about the vehicle. I should actually do a separate review for him because he deserves 5 stars, unlike anyone else that was involved. The process went very smoothly until I reached the financial aspect. After waiting a couple hours to meet with the financial person, I went in with a pre-approved car loan, which he insisted I forgo because they would be able to offer longer terms with better rates. Okay, sounds great. We finish up and we leave that day with the car. Shortly after, my Father, who was with me to test drive the car, began receiving calls from the dealership stating they would be able to offer me a lower interest rate and I needed to stop by and sign the paperwork. I wasn t too concerned about my interest rate so I didn t respond, but the calls continued. A little over a month went buy and I hadn t received any information about my loan, and I was becoming concerned that I was missing payments and what not due to them wanting to lower my interest rate, I figured they had done something without my knowledge. So one day when I was in the area, since I live a little over an hour away, I decided to stop in. I told them I needed to speak with a financial person about my loan and interest rate and what not. I gave them my name and no one could seem to figure out who had been calling me about an interest rate, yet I waited to be seen. I must have sat in the dealership for well over 2 hours, and I tried to leave a couple times but every time someone would stop me on my way out and assure me someone would be with me soon. After sitting in the waiting room for hours with no updates as to what was going on, I did get to see a finance worker, who told me the first finance person did not process my loan correctly and I had actually not even paid for the car. At this point I was exasperated and eager to leave, so the financial worker gave me all new paperwork to sign, which I did not even review because I just wanted to leave. So despite the fact that this dealership offers quality cars and their sales people are great, I would not trust these people again. I did not need to be lied to and coerced back to the dealership. Had they been transparent from the beginning everything could have been resolved much sooner. And the craziest part is I ended up paying more with the second loan despite all of the calls promising a lower interest rate. I would suggest buying elsewhere.
I brought a used vehicle in to have it checked before purchasing it as the used car dealer has indicated they had done some engine repairs to it. I walked in about a week earlier to Hoffman Audi and was given a price of $159 to do a thorough pre-purchase check. I called a few days later to schedule the pre-purchase check and same price was given.
The day the used dealer drops it off, I get told by Hoffman Audi it will be $315. That's ridiculous, but not the worst thing. I go forward with the inspection and when there done the call the used car dealer up and tell him he can pick up the vehicle. They call me up say I can pay on the phone the car looks great needs an alignment but otherwise was in very good shape including the engine that the used car dealer repaired. The service advisor says that he will put the report in a sealed envelope in the glove box for me.
I met the used car dealer back at his place to purchase the car we had talk the day before about dropping the price at least $500 if the engine repairs checked out. However, he tells me the service advisor at Hoffman told him other than an alignment the car is in fantastic shape, so know the used car dealer won't budge on the price. I go to the glove box and look for the inspection report that I paid $315 for and I find the typical car dealer service receipt with a light that says performed 300 point inspection. There is no report just a line item
I buy the car at price the used dealer had it as now he says once the Hoffman guy told him it's in great shape he can get even more for it and that he is going to raise the price if I don't buy it, but I can pay the price he had it listed at before the service appointment but no further discounts.
So I am pissed at Hoffman the charged me double for the pre-check, screwed my negotiating with the used car dealer and then after complaining to the Service Manager at Hoffman, Mr Elliot Matos, I hear nothing back all week but today I get a survey from them to fill out. So you all get my experience to make your decision about whether you want to used Hoffman Audi service in East Hartford. Since they clearly don't care about there customers.
Once again I have been thoroughly impressed by the service received. Last Saturday I was on my way into Hartford to see a matinee play. Hit a pothole and killed my right front tire. Was able to limp to the dealership and both my sales person, Steve Stellar, and service manager, Robert Hlasyszyn did everything possible to get me back on the road as soon as possible. Robert laid out my options and as it turned out, they did have the correct tire to replace the flat and they did so very quickly. I obviously did not have an appointment but they did not care - they put my needs first and I really appreciate that.
I live in Maine but found a car that interested me at a reasonable price at Hoffman. With a few phone calls and emails we were able to finalize this transaction including most paperwork. When I arrived at the dealership the car had been prepped and ready to go. Dylan was super helpful in finalizing the transaction in short time so that we could get back on the road to home. Jackie helped finalize the financial transaction with a pleasant attitude while carefully explaining all that was relevant. Thanks for all of your help and your no pressure approach to sales.
Awesome experience with Hoffman. It was an extremely easy and enjoyable buying process. Brandon was laid back, fun, and hilarious. I normally hate purchasing a car- previous dealers I've met have been rude, pushy, and impatient, but not Brandon. He made it a piece of cake. He wasn't pushy and didn't harrass me or force a sale upon me. I felt that he really wanted to help me make the best decision for my lifestyle. I'd recommend both Brandon and Hoffman Audi to anyone looking for a gorgeous car, from a professional dealership.

Been a customer for 15 years. Always friendly, but attention to detail has fallen way off. Had a very expensive radio/digital MMI system replaced under warranty installed, but the system was not programmed and did not work upon delivery this necessitated a second day and second trip. Offered additional services and recommendations, but they lost any record of $1000 carbon cleaning service on last visit that had some of same services performed. Can no longer recommend this dealership.
not happy, I was sold a tire package with my a7 lease. I was told it covers everything.,Come to find out surprise it doesn't . if you lease a car for 31/2 years you figure the tires on a 60k$ car would last more than 27000 miles. I am now purchasing 4 new tires at my own cost $1300. that extra $s per month for the tire package is a complete scam.buyer beware

A lack of transparent communication is what I would break it down to why they only get 3-stars instead of the 5.
The process took over a full week to purchase the car due to paperwork "complications". And when it was time to pickup the car, I had to wait 30 minutes to see the individual who would go over the paperwork for signing (which took at least another 20+ minutes), then, there were two cars parked in front of mine and it took another 15 minutes to find the keys for those cars to be moved in order for me to drive away.
In short, the process needs to be improved for the customer. I don't want to hang around, I just purchased a great car and want to drive.
Again, the car is great but service needs to be re-evaluated.
I brought a Q5 in may 2019 from Hauffman Audi . My entire experience right from getting an appointment for test drive till my car delivery was very seamless . My Sales Rep, Mike Defronzo and his manager Pete were very professional, they had good knowledge on vehicle and negation process was smooth too .

Customer service leaves much to be desired, and labor rates are unbelievably high. Their service team did quite a bit of warranty work on our car, but charged an arm and a leg to diagnose a faulty fan (several hundred dollars). Asking to speak with someone regarding the invoice was quite the run around. Transferred to 3 different people, none of which were available to pick up the phone, and several days later, not one of them has returned my call. Very disappointed in the way we were treated. I would not recommend.

Unless your buying new dont expect to be treated with any respect. Sloppy detail job, inside was dirty and windshield has a a decent size gouge in it, should have been replaced. Tire had a big gouge in it, instead of at least giving a matching pair they would only replace the one . They really don't care about any customer that walks in the door.
Very friendly and professional!! You'd expect some car dealer experience no matter where you go, but at Hoffman you get treated with respect, they don't push you, and answer your questions.
Only used this dealership once, but it was a great experience. I went strictly for service, so I can only speak on that. Alex was great checking me in and Tom the driver was personable and prompt. I'll be coming back for other service needs on my A5.

I went in looking for a 2010-2012 Audi S4 and after going for a test drive with a salesman he had to go elsewhere to help out since the dealership was down a finance manager. Stacey Violette an Audi Brand Specialist stepped in and took care of me from there. We ended up taking an S5 out for a test drive and she was very knowledgeable about the cars features and fun to talk to about the car. You can tell she is a big fan of the cars she's selling by the passion in her voice when discussing them, which makes the car buying experience more enjoyable. When discussing pricing, etc it is all very low pressure and honest, they don't start out at an unrealistic price and barter with you, they price their vehicles at very competitive market prices. After I put a deposit on my S5 there were a few things I wanted fixed prior to delivery and Stacey delivered on all of them and was always responsive to my questions (even when I would email her 5+ times a day). Brian Webster was my finance manager. He had only been there for 3 days but has been in the business for 15 years and you could tell he was a true industry professional, he had us in and out in a timely manner which was much appreciated since we were in a rush. While taking delivery of the vehicle I'm not one of the people who wants to sit there for an hour being told how everything works, I like to play around with it and figure out how things work but any questions I had like how to flip through the mpg, miles driven, etc on the instrument cluster screen, Stacey was able to answer quickly and efficiently. If you are someone who likes to have all of the features of the car explained to you she is definitely willing to take the time to do that with you, that's just not my style.
I ABSOLUTELY love the car so far. I am coming over from a 2012 VW GLI (and my first car was an E46 BMW) and I cannot express enough the difference in build quality between my Audi S5 and the two other brands (even though VW owns Audi). Everything in the car feels extremely sturdy, there are no squeaks or rattles at all and the Quattro is amazing for handling turns and wet weather. Audi has gained a big fan and I will definitely be buying another car (RS5) in the next few years from Hoffman Audi. If you are looking to purchase a new or used Audi I highly recommend Hoffman Audi and make sure that you ask for Stacey Violette when you're in there, you will not be disappointed. -Jeffrey Baird
