Ordered a 3 seater sofa (Elizabeth Premium Hipvan Sofa series) for my Dad from Hipvan 's Cathay store. Sofa arrived in great brand new condition and was sturdy and beautiful!! Delivery was fuss free. They smsed me 1 day before to confirm the time and on the day itself the delivery guys messaged 30 mins before arrival to inform me they were on the way. My Dad just could not get off from the sofa all day. He loved it lots and the cushions were great support for his back. Thank you Hipvan!!

Edit: Great follow up by a member of hipvan right after, reasoning out the situation. Reasons accepted and was offered compensation for the inconvenience. My order (tv console + shelf + 2 rugs) came 3 days after and fortunately within time... I must say the look & feel are pretty good (hence the star bumped from 1 to 3). No obvious defects or flaws. Mega love!! Overall the quality is rated 9/10. I really like most items listed on hipvan but this will be my first & last simply because communication & deliveries seem to be a problem for them. As said previously, items are great but order only if you can wait forever.
BAD & WORST experience with online retail EVER. I purchased a tv console on the 14th December 2018 & had scheduled the delivery to be on the 23rd January 2019. Without my knowledge or consent, hipvan postponed it to 28th January 2019. The item is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, but when I checked the online status, hipvan postponed it AGAIN to be on the 30th January 2019. Are you taking us your customers as a joke? We have no time to accommodate all these silly things when we just want the furnitures to move in swiftly into our new home. We took time off from work to oversee the delivery and it kept on being postponed. Hipvan is really the worst, please do not shop here unless you want to be treated like a joke.

Save yourself a headache if you are into quality items. DON T PATRONISE! As you can see, this is my first review and I really hate to give bad reviews unless needed. I deliberately waited 2 weeks to give them a chance to reply me. I m using my real email address FYI.
Delivery was timing was ok however the delivery man disappeared as soon as he delivered the item at my doorstep. Didn t bother bringing it into my house (I guess I was lucky not to experience the same issues as the others regarding the timing).
Only 1 item out of 7 items was acceptable and out of those 1 item was defective. Disappointed with the quality of the others. Email sent to customer service left unanswered so afterservice is not there either.
The exchange policy is also pretty bad, considering you need to forfeit 20% of your item s value as according to them unlike our competitors we do not put our exchange prices into our prices to keep it competitive . FYI, their prices are nothing to shout about you can get similar items (baskets) from an overseas portal in China for $6. Come on, if you are an online portal at lease please at least provide a good returns policy!
Your major competitor I would assume (which I shall not name) whom I recently purchased 6 dining chairs and subsequently outdoor dining sets and lots of other items has an excellent exchange policy. You are free to reject items on the spot with a full refund and if you are entitled to free shipping it will not be deducted as well! I purchased 6 chairs and informed them that I might want to return them (not their fault, I underestimated my space) and they promptly replied saying that even if delivery guys have left they can set up a time to collect the items for return and the timeframe is 90 days as long as in a good condition (eventually we decided we loved the chairs and it's holding up pretty good and lots of compliments from guests)!
During the second delivery I rejected 2 bar stools as I overestimated the height, I m really bad at this!) and no questions asked the delivery men took it back on the spot with a smiling face. If your items are good quality, you know you can easily resell it. Granted, their website is not as "hip" as Hipvan's (hmmm.... perhaps that's where our money goes) but their prices are unbeatable .
If I can give zero stars I would mostly for their lack of response making a customer feel like once a sale is done it s the end of story, and yet you receive email auto response message saying that they will reply me once they can, delivery emails asking for product reviews, mailers and Black Friday sales. Wow. That s all I can say. You can only cheat a customer once, let mine be your lesson! Cheers
Very bad EXPERIENCE!!! 1. Delivery time was delay was delay by 2hrs, called hipvan for status update they didnt get back to me. 2. Product defect upon arrival, returned item on the spot. 3. No updates from hipvan AGAIN after 1 day, tried calling hipvan hotline no one pick up.
Really disappointed with the hipvan service as it had cause alot of inconvenience to me.
I really appreciate your fast response and flexibility to accomodate my needs! It was wonderful that the person who responded on the Hipvan chat could understand my problem, check the inventory, implement the change I needed, and confirm the delivery all in ten minutes or so. Great job!
Terrible service. I waited for the delivery in my new house (with no WiFi, no furniture, nothing) for 4 hours, and when I called asking why it was late I was told there was a system error and my furniture wouldn't arrive for another 2 days. Total waste of my afternoon, and no courtesy on their end to even call me ahead of time. Awful. Not worth the hassle, at least IKEA delivers when they say they will.
Strongly recommend not ordering from this store. We were supposed to receive an armchair & ottoman delivery possible by July 26 which seemed great. But then you first have to pay before they show you the actually available slots, so we opted for the first possible. This should have been today July 30. They emailed last week to reschedule for the 31st which is ok, but I just got notified that this will not work AGAIN. And they reschedule for August 15. This is impossible for us, as we do have Jobs and can't reschedule work and take leave anytime Hipvan changes their idea of delivery. Really, really disappointed as their furniture is pretty and I was really looking forward to these pieces.
UPDATE: Chair & ottoman just arrived!! Colours look great, delivery itself now was super quick & efficient! Very happy! ;) (Now fingers crossed the couch will make it here on the designated date!)
Top service. My sofa was delivered within 2 days, even faster than expected. The product itself does it's job and I am happy with the purchase. I would certainly look for more products from HipVan
Was quite disappointed with the lack of communication of product availability and only came to know on delivery day itself that the black cocoon swing chair which I have ordered will only be available in end Apr 2020 despite the website showing that the product will be available for delivery by end Feb 2020. Due to the lack of communication, I have requested for refund for the black cocoon swing chair instead. Not only that, I have also ordered 2 office chairs and one of them has a defect where the left side of arm rest could be screwed in. Hence, I have requested to make an exchange and pending for a response from customer service team on this.
A terrible 1st time purchase from Hipvan. Delivery time was supposed to be 1.30 to 4.30pm today. They informed us that there will be a delay of 1 hour. But it is already 7.30pm now and im still waiting. They did not respond to any of the phone calls, until I posted on their Instagram page. I will NEVER purchase from this company again.
It's always a little nerve wrecking to buy furniture online without seeing it first, but HipVan did not disappoint! We bought the most comfortable King bed, tv console, outdoor cabinetry, lamps and little accessories. The quality is better than I expected for the price. We are really happy! Their service is excellent, bringing forward two deliveries for us when they didn't need to. Super professional and friendly. We will be back!
First time purchasing from Hipvan after admiring their simple but chic aesthetics.
To my horror, the Katana Super Single Bed I bought fell apart 2 weeks after installation. My teenage son weighs an average 70kg and was sleeping on it normally when the bed gave way.
The pins holding the feeble frame together stuck out in a precarious manner, endangering him.
When I reached out to Hipvan, agent Brenda offered a very swift refund after I rejected a repair as I didn t trust the frame could be repaired safely.
There s no service recovery and I don t feel assured enough to make a return purchase when Hipvan is not even concerned about the welfare of clients getting hurt from the malfunctioning furniture of theirs.
Edit: Rating improved from 1* to 3* as their service recovery had been excellent. Hipvan sent a technician down to take the bed apart then rebuilt it with reinforcing screws instead of nails. Technician s dedication is remarkable and commendable.
Quality/design of the bed still needs to be improved. It will serve buyers some good to find out in bed is still constructed with nails when buying this particular model.
I wish I had something like HipVan back hime in Australia. Quality and stylish products at an excellent price. Compared to other options I looked at, HipVan was the best value for its quality by far in Singapore.

HipVan came and repaired the armchair I bought even though there was no official warranty. The chair leg has come off. They were quick to reply and even checked on the other 3 legs and did preventative measures. They definitely went above and beyond. So glad I purchased from them.
delivery service is really bad. Do not provide confirmed delivery date or timing. Just turn up at your house and expect there is someone at home to received the goods. Explanation given by HipVan team- it depends whether the goods are delivery by HipVan Team or courier!
I have shopped with most e-commerce companies out there. HipVan, by far, is the best bang for buck in terms of design and quality. Especially their mattresses & sofas, and especially leather sofas, are priced the best in the market for the quality. I also really love the Cadencia series - have a sideboard, coffee table, and King Bed from them. It's a business I will be happy to support again.

I would highly recommend HipVan. The delivery men did their best to move the heavy wood cabinet in the right place. The quality - price ratio of the cabinet is more than decent and exceeded my expectations. I did a lot of research on several online retailers and I m glad it worked out perfectly with my order from HipVan. Item came on time and brand new condition.

Upon delivery, there was several issues like items being out of stock or was damaged, however the customer service did an amazing recovery by understanding the situation well and being patient throughout the arduous period to finding the perfect resolution to satisfy the customer. 5 stars to Maxine for doing such a fantastic job and 5 stars to the delivery team who went beyond their call of duty to help me assemble the lights that was supposed to be self assembly, but because it was so heavy for myself to do it, they stayed back and helped till v everything was done properly. Wonderful experience. Items are also of great quality, worth every penny spent..

I had a missing item from my delivery a few days ago but the team was quick to reply me and promptly made a delivery within a day of my email. I am pleasantly surprised by this and the items are truly as advertised. 5/5 stars would definitely buy from them again next time!
Ordered an Eames office chair which started to creak after a few months of use; got in touch with customer support to get it fixed and they sent a repairman down to inspect it, tightened the chair mechanism and it was ok for a month until the chair started to bank and roll like a bosu ball.
Horrible product experience. Customer service promised refund to be made within 7-14 working days but it's been more than that. Unprofessional.

Delivery can be arranged in about 1+ week at no cost (bought a bed and a mattress). Includes installation. 2 months later, a part of a bed broke and replacement was done within the week, free of charge. Will definitely shop again when I move.

Spent more than S$3k on their furniture for my 3 BR apartment.
But a few items have repeated defects though requested for an exchange such as the ironing board & wooden study table. Even one of the bedframe has a small original/installation caused Internal defect which if you are too kind to let it bypass you and you happen to want to return/exchange it Their first respond is to reject it or deduct too much of the refund even when the furniture pick up guys knew the small internal defect wasn t cause by me but by the installation itself. Both mattress & bedframe was like a new condition. I even remembered tipping the installation guys. Only to get this experience down the road.
Refund was forgotten. The amount received a month after the pick up was lesser than 50% for a close to new condition. I presume there is either a miscalculation or forgot to refund my second item. It s tiring to chase after them. Return process was far from their No questions asked motto.

You do get a grasp (pun intended) of the online portal's offerings. Do note that not all items that are available at this location can be purchased on the spot as it's an Experience Center and needs to be done online. Staff are few, but some try to help once you get their attention.

Really terrible quality sofa they sell here. We removed the cover of the sofa to clean it only to find the inside being filled with scraps of sponges. It started sinking a mth after we bought it
It's recently become a real lottery when you will get the stuff you order online from Hipvan. They often don't have the stock they advertise and there can be significant delays (months) over and above the promised delivery times. A real shame, because they have fun stuff, but they are way too unreliable. Thrice burned, buying somewhere else.
I bought a hana 3 seater sofa sometime ago. It is utterly disappointing that such a sofa sagged so much in less than a year usage despite rarely sitting on.
We ordered a Sofa bed a few months back from the HipVan online store. It was delivered within the promised time. After shifting it to our guest room somehow it didn't quite fit and look the way it was thought. Since we hadn't used it, we asked HipVan if we could return it and they gladly obliged. HipVan staff took it back and refunded the entire amount. Though we didn't end up being a customer, we're really pleased with their customer service.

Only after checkout, a delivery date for the bought mattress is given... That's unacceptable conduct! Seems as if I have to sleep 3 months on the floor now! Avoid hipvan at all costs!
Contacted Hipvan back in June 2017 with regards to credits in my account but wasn't able to get any assistance from them. I happened to look into my account recently and realized i still have this credit left in my account.
This credit is a refund that was credited back into my account back in 2016 and i have asked for it to be refunded to me in terms of creditcard but they credited it into my Hipvan account. I was told to utilize it by purchasing something from Hipvan but i have looked through the entire catalogue but i really have nothing to buy :(
Its strange that i have to purchase something with my refund when i have nothing in mind.
June 2017 was the last contact with their customer service with nothing to buy. Fast forward to 2 years+, still have nothing in mind to purchase but still unable to claim the refund that was rightfully credited to me which i am unable to utilize.
Smooth transaction. Got the queen size bed and a console table during covid 19. Good quality. Fast delivery.. Delivery man were very handy very quickly dismantled my old queen bed with care and fixed up the new bed. They were very friendly too.. Thank you for the service
Been following Hipvan for a while now and I have to say, they have really expanded their products! There's just so many home essentials to choose from and although a few items were OOS, I managed to get a couple of quality mattresses from them at such an affordable price. Would definitely recommend Hipvan to anyone looking to furnish their home without wanting to burn a hole in their pockets.
Had a pleasant overall experience with the HipVan team. Delivery was on time as stated. When I wanted to change the mattress as the one i ordered didn't really fit my needs, the process was smooth with prompt replies and the clarifications were done without much fuss.
Late delivery (supposed to be in 1-3 days but its been 7 days and items not delivered yet??????) and un-replied emails!!! Strongly advise NO ONE to purchase from this vendor. No contact number whatsoever available online. A truly frustrating company to buy from
