I'm one of their customer had online order a set of bed for my mother due to the area lift are under maintenance, I had email them and they had replied in fast action to allow me reschedule and not only this when I had place an order of the color wrongly which was my faulty but Miss Brenda was being very kind allow me to change. Just visited the showroom. You have to make an appointment before you can come for a visit. The friendliness of the staff there was only so so. When I walked in without saying 'hello' to me I was not very friendly asked if I have an appointment. They didn't pay much attention during my stay. When I left no one cared either. Not worth to go there. Was a bit dissapointing. I really don't understand why you have to make an appointment if the staff is only sitting behind the reception with a bored face.
Didn't expect that as the customer service online and on the phone was always friendly and helpful.

I bought 6 numbers of Gryta Dining Chair - Matt Black, Grey.

My office is a shophouse, and I need the chair to be moved up to the second floor of the office. But your delivery team told me to pay $10 each.

I understand that there is a policy, but it is not a heavy table but it is just a chair which is relatively light. I try to communicate to them but it is non-negotiable to them.

I feel it was really unwelcoming because I thought at least they would try to call the office and check it they can help.

I was really disappointed with your company service and I dont think I will support your products again.

Website was easy to navigate and selection of delivery dates/times were clear-cut and fuss free. They send you SMS reminders prior to the date of delivery.

The delivery man offered to assemble the bed frame for us but we opted to assemble it ourselves. We ran into some trouble as the manual was incorrect. We initially thought the wrong furniture parts were provided.

Upon calling the delivery man, Aaron, to inform him, he told us not to refer to the manual and was kind enough to explain and guide us through the assembly process through the phone. His colleague, whose name i didn't manage to get, played a part in helping us too.

Thanks to their patience and willingness to provide assistance through the phone, which i'm pretty sure is outside of their job scope (they could have just asked us to refer to the manual! Which was wrong, but we didn't realize until we fixed the bed frame according to his instructions), we managed to assemble the bed frame in no time.

For the price, the Katana bed frame is quite solid (compared to another well-known furniture store which i shall not mention) and honestly rather simple and straightforward to put together, just that the very first step in the manual was already wrong, so you might want to look into that.

Bean bag from DOOB was of superb quality and a lot bigger than expected (no complaints there!).

11/10 would recommend HipVan for their brilliant products, user-friendly website and awesome customer service!

Bought the Hendrix tv console and the harrow coffee table. Both items were defective and had to be replaced. Customer service representative says replacement takes up to 2 months or more. Might not be a good idea if you have a deadline for the items to be ready in your house.

You can also never call through their hotline as they are perpetually unavailable.

Their email responses are also unfortunately very delayed. This is despite initiating the conversation to arrange for the items to be replaced. There was also no phone call though I left my phone number in the email.

Ordered the Sofia Loveseat Carbon way back during the "circuitbreaker" and we love how cosy it looks in our new home when we finally received it. Because our renovation had been delayed, we had to re-schedule the delivery quite a number of times - really glad that Hipvan has this super convenient and easy delivery appointment system where you can modify your delivery date accordingly! With the ongoing renovations, their delivery guy also went out of the way to ensure that the item was properly placed in our messy house, and took the following photo to update me of the successful delivery. The best part is that their customer service (thanks Brenda!) is also very prompt and their after sales service is excellent! We're definitely happy to have purchased from HipVan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

The entire process from ordering to receiving the items was seamless. It's clear that a lot of effort and thought has been placed in ensuring the customer receives an amazing shopping experience. Even the product exchange was done promptly. One of the best online shopping stores I have used! And the products are great too! :))

HipVan is probably the worst place to get your furniture. 1st they deliver a wrong order. And they stood me up for the 2nd delivery. Cannot feel their sincerity with the discount offered. Think twice before getting your furniture from there.

Strongly recommend not to get furniture from these guys. When I first bought it, the experience wasn t as good, but it s bearable. One fine day, we suddenly heard a sound coming from the sofa. Upon checking, we realised one of the spring had came out. We tried contacting HipVan on this matter.

They replied a few days later after I sent a chaser. Interestingly, they don t reply to me, even though I m using the email address that I signed up for a HipVan account.

They just sent me a sms to inform they re delivering on Monday without arranging with me. Best thing is the contact number stated. The dates and hours are wrong! Left without a choice, i had to email them again. After emailing them, they cancelled the Monday slot for us, and re-arranged with us. But the delivery was late for hours! They claimed they attempted to contact me. We had returned their calls 4x at least, but nobody picks up.

When the guys finally came, the furniture was worst than what we had previously, hence we only changed the seat. However, the guys don t seem to know what they re doing and took a way long time. They don t seem apologetic and joke around. This entire episode from HipVan is unacceptable. I will never visit their stuff, and definitely not recommend anyone getting from them.

We had to miss a few important appointments today. And we bought tickets to attractions which we had to forgo it. It is very disappointing. Waste of our precious time and money.

First time buying 3 different items from HipVan. Bought decorative items, wall art and food jars. The delivery was quick but the quality was disappointing. The prints looked home-printed, and corners of the paper was already abit crumpled which I felt did not justify the price. Requesting for returns on 1 set of prints which was very disappointing. Return arrangements had been made and It s not that hassle free.

Poor quality products which do not last. I bought a sofa just 1 year ago and it has sagged so much that you feel like you are sitting on the wooden base. The cushion has completely flattened. Having a 5 year warranty is pointless when customer service basically ignores you.

Update: Hipvan did contact me after i wrote this review, and told me that it is considered 'normal' wear and tear to have the sofa rendered unusable after 1 year of light use (there aren't any kids in the house who may jump on the sofa, and nobody in the house is so heavy to overtax the sofa). In other words, they cant do an exchange because its not within policy.

I think it says alot about the company that they consider such poor quality to be acceptable.

So please purchase at your own risk.

The delivery was best. Very bad experience with the delivery. Selected delivery time slot of 930am - 1230pm. The day before, received an SMS that the timing is from 1230pm-130pm. Seeing that it's only an hour difference. We decided to wait. Come 130pm, no sign of the delivery and we contacted the service team. They then replied saying the timing has been changed to 230pm. It's past 230pm now and the delivery is still not here yet. No replies from the customer service team as well.

And we actually paid for the delivery slot!

If there is going to be a delay, customers will appreciate if you keep them informed. Not to update only when contacted.

We ordered a dining table with chairs, a TV console and a couple of rugs. The delivery people assembled the table wrong and didn t put in all the screws. The remaining screws and user manuel were nowhere to be found after they left - the table is now in permanent extended mode and I suspect the mechanism to fold it together is broken. The console the delivery people broke and just left it there. When I came home from work I contacted them. They came to replace the console, but the new one was also broken (and full of cobwebs - probably a previously returned piece). I asked them to bring the missing screws and user manual when they came to replace the console - which they didn t.

The people in the shop are friendly, but the delivery crew are really poor. If you order furniture for home delivery make sure you re home to supervise.

HipVan's customer service is responsive, highly professional, understanding and flexible. I have been liaising with Brenda, who helped to expedite an urgent delivery, and thereafter helped to arrange an exchange due to a product defect. HipVan offered me a product of higher value as they did not have the replacement product in stock and we needed it urgently. I'm impressed with their service and feel fully confident about purchasing their products in future.

Quality of items seem fine but delivery coordination is always a disaster. Was told delivery would arrive between 9:30am - 12:30pm so waited all morning with no call from the delivery man. Eventually arrived in the afternoon. This is the second time this has happened. Hipvan needs to coordinate delivery timings much better with third party transportation/ delivery company and put in place stricter delivery guidelines.

They do not mention any compensation. Deeply regret to buy from this website. I just wish it was easier to get items delivered over the weekends (Sunday included) or in the evenings as most of us work during the day on weekdays and cannot receive such bulky items. But I understand this may be a Singapore-wide regulation which only leaves Saturday mornings to receive such deliveries.

Update: The repair personnel came and did a good job to change the damage part of the bedframe. I chose to repair instead of 1 to 1 replacement because there was no stock available and I did not want to wait.

Customer service excellent(Brenda is very good), ease of buying excellent (website is very well design) but product delivered no good. One of the bedframe leg is wet and feels rotten. I told the delivery personnel when he delivered but he does not know how to handle such situation. I am sure that he saw the defect and still proceed to assemble the bed. The delivery personnel was not able to communicate in English to rectify the issue. Hipvan should send them for training to improve the final stage of buying. What a pity.

Unfortunately, there's nothing really hip about HipVan.

Ok, maybe their website and some of their products. But what's the point if they are not functional as advertised or delivered as promised?

Ordered the Aikin 2.5 sofa bed that wasn't quite what it's made out to be (one of the pitfalls of furniture online shopping) but what the hell, wanted to support a local company. Didn't get an explanation on why it wasn't working as described - is it a QA problem, is it a design thing, etc. Asked for a replacement and one was promised in four weeks.

A month comes and goes. After multiple emails, was told it would be delivered in two days. No discussion on whether it's convenient, etc. Anyway, it turns up and it's just as uncomfortable and not usable as the first one. And delivery crew won't take it back, "not their procedure".

Well, after a few terse emails and phone calls, they've collected it. Now for the refund. Wonder how long I'll have to wait.

I visited their warehouse popup store and it was awful... it was SO HOT with no fan/air-conditioning at this space. I made an appointment expecting service staff to assist but there was just a very disgruntled counter lady who checked us in. We were in and out in 5 minutes.

This was rather disappointing as I loved visiting Hipvan when they were located at Dhoby Ghaut! I guess I will just stick to shopping online for smaller stuff with Hipvan...

1) Delayed Delivery
Stipulated time to deliver item was between 6-9pm. I ensured that someone was at home to receive the item since 6pm. I rushed back home from work at 8.30pm only to receive a text message from delivery man at 8.47pm that there was an unexpected delay, thus delivery can only happen in "up to 2 hours" time. 10.47pm, no news from them until I texted delivery man and he told me he was in Yishun and would come by 11.30pm. He only arrived at 12.10am after multiple phonecalls from me (he picked up the call once only).

2) Defect and Poor Quality Item
Item received had defects. Hinges had issues and therefore the sideboard doors could not be closed properly and there was an alignment problem. The wood quality is not fantastic and you can see it was made out of cheap wood. Delivery man told me to wait for a phonecall from customer service and they may send help to rectify this issue.

Overall, I think this would be the LAST time I will purchase my item from HipVan. The last experience I had was also equally bad (also late delivery and in the end one of the items was not delivered. I remembered clearly it was nearing my wedding day), plus this year it is nearing Hari Raya. Even after 2 years, and giving them the benefit of doubt thinking that they would improve the standards, I am still facing the same issues. Clearly, they did not look into this matter since my last review 2 years ago (and I noticed many people gave similar reviews as I did) and no change has been done. Therefore, I would not recommend my friends and family to patronise HipVan.

Wanted to order a bedframe and sofa from hipvan and noticed they have a 100 days return policy which states items must be in original condition. Very vague and apparently there a15% charge which is not stated when you click on the icon in their app. Very misleading. So be careful if you intend to return. Otherwise their products look great.

After making a call, they sent a message saying they will be updating me of the delayed ETA, waited 30 minutes, called again, and decided to tell the ETA which I will be able to receive it. I bought an item from them online. The only thing positive is they take your payment online fast. Service was extremely poor, you may not get what you originally intended, after sales calls/ emails will not be entertained. You can choose delivery time but they will deliver products based on their preference.

I suspect they have a few hundred fake positive reviews after visiting their website. They only have either 5 star reviews or above 3 stars review with generic description and suspicious name. Either they removed all the below 3 stars reviews or they bought many above 3 stars reviews. Be cautious!!

My delivery was scheduled for 2.15pm to 3.15pm. Waited until 4.15pm before they finally delivered the item. Not a word of apology or remorse from the delivery guy, just said something like "we are very busy today". Called customer service several times before 4.15pm to get an update and they were slow and did not call me back as promised.

Worse thing is, the pouf I ordered looked used and old and there was a tear in the inner cushion! The white foam balls were already spilling out even though it's supposed to be new.

For a local company that I wanted to support, this incident totally changes my mind about them and this will be my first and last time patronizing them. Tardy delivery schedules, inefficient customer service, and worst of all, a defective product.

Truly a one star experience in every sense of the word.

I ordered the Brittany Working desk (400 SGD) - the wood is extremely cheap - and even just a tiny drip of water accidently fallen on it would immediately gets absorbed and create a white stain - their wood quality is some of the lowest in the market and totally not worth the price asked for. Very disappointed and will probably stay away from HipVan in the future.
