Very neat / nice location. Great! Only wifi is expensive and breakfast all the way (30, - excl tax per person) However, about 500 meters away at Kneaders Bakery we had a perfect breakfast. This Hilton is great / pleasant resort with a large swimming pool in the middle

Not up to the standards of other Hilton's. On one Sunday they closed all the restaurants and offered only a basic menu. Service was slow and ineffective with some guests waiting over an hour for basic meals like salads. Top tip: get an Uber to one of the many options available locally.
First stay and was there for 2 hours and then asked for a refund and left. Hotel is beautiful on the outside but old and smelly on the inside it needs to be updated. It has a main pool that is small and closes at 10pm. the kiddie pool and water slide are also very small and close at 7pm (who's ever heard of that at a resort) ridiculous. I gave it one star only because they gave me a refund and I shouldn't give it that cause I called them today about a extra charge on my credit card and was told that I must have been charged someone else meal and was promised I should see a credit in a few days. I recommend the title of Resort be removed from the name.
Wonderful resort, beautiful scenery, spa on property, tennis, golf, horseback riding, bicycle riding, hiking/walking trails. Heated outdoor pool. So much to do or not whatever you prefer. Great spot for a meeting, the hotel staff is awesome & food is delicious. Located about 40 minutes from Tuscon International airport. Uber much cheaper than taxi cab fare.
My wife and I got married here in April. It was a very nice experience, they were accommodating even though we weren't spending full blown "wedding money" with them. Great picture oppurtunities around the central courtyard. I really enjoyed our time there. 2 days at a hotel without any kind of hiccup was a blessing.
Had the most efficient, intuitive young server named Sandra M while attending a conference here! She is worth a million 'El Conguistador' in Tucson, Az. Hiring her was a job well done
I really enjoyed my stay at the El Conquistador, the room was nice and had a great mountain view. The pools are clean and not too crowded, not to mention the great poolside service. I had dinner there and it was delicious, highly recommended. Thanks for a great stay!
While the rooms were a little more dated than I anticipated the surrounding landscape and gorgeous Catalina mountains more than make up for it. The service has been impeccable and fast.
Our stay at the resort was a great experience. The food was great and pool area with the water slide for the kids, smores and a pool side movie was great for the family. We had a problem with our room and the staff quickly addressed our problem and moved us to a new room. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because our family enjoyed the J.W. Marriott resort in Tucson more with its nicer rooms, better pools and a lazy river.
This is a beautiful resort with a beautiful mountain backdrop. Great service from everyone and very clean. The rooms are nice and comfortable and the pool is nice. All in all a very nice stay. The only problem with this resort is the food! We ordered late night guacamole and salsa with chips and they were un eatable. Awful to say the least. We also tried to eat breakfast at their restaurant and that didn't get any better. Great server awful food!! For such a nice place they should have great southwest food with flavor. It's far out from the city so you need to have better eating options at the resort. I hope they start to take pride in the food they are serving and not just trying to get by with cheap flavorless meals.
My group is here for a conference. Very nice rooms, amazing views, excellent weather, great food and bars. My only complaint is the distance from Tucson proper.
Beautiful facility. Restaurant service seemed aloof at times, and rooms not quite as nice as expected, but a great stay and we will definately be back.
Another E-P-I-C Hilton location!! The sun, the stars, and especially the people. Arizona, you literally have a piece of my heart Rob, Iliana, & Jacob (Excellent hires Hilton), y'all are top shelf folk. You went to infinity & beyond to make our ONE night "half cross country" adventure at your hotel (with our cat One eye'd Willie ) utterly perfect . An that's what y'all did. From the moment we walked in the door y'all made us feel like family with your unbeatable customer service, uber friendly personalities, and over the top management skills. "Early check in" after a 6 hour drive from a disaster evening at another unpleasant location (oops my bad). AMAZING upgrades with the hotel, excessive amenities, OCD clean (Thank you Vanessa) & Covid safe, technology advances, baseball, & late night fried ice cream treats Seriously tho, you guys MADE our move from Oregon to Texas all that much better . There aren't enough thank you's & we will NEVER forget the Hilton El Conquistador.

During our visit while the pandemic precautions are in place, it was still a hospitable and safe environment. Some services are closed, but reasonably. The restaurants and pool (at your own discretion) and some other recreational activities are still open with the beautiful landscaping and views backdrop. I enjoy the plaques around the property describing desert wildlife, flora, and the like.
Property beautiful! Rooms need upgrading. Asked to move room, was told Liz Fiore would contact us but never did. Room is cold and dark. Epazote restaurant terrible, ate there two nights. Steak first night tough and cooked unevenly. Wanted it medium it was cooked well on edges and rare in middle. Next night famous prime rib, came out raw. Staff not very personable or knowledgeable. Only a couple other people in there, should have had better service. Asked for salt to take to room. Girl went in kitchen came back out and said, they only have salt shakers for table. Asked her do you have a paper napkin? Can you put some in a napkin? She diapears again. Brings out a little plastic cup. Even better right? Except there isn't even a pinch of salt in there. She didn't know how much I needed. I thanked her and walked away laughing at how this simple task took so long and accomplished nothing. Called front desk to ask for toilet paper. I was asked if I was sure there is none hiding in there. Lol, I assured him there was not. Over half hour later called up again to request toilet paper. Went to front desk to ask for coffee and cups. They were out and would have it delivered to the room. A couple hours later, about 11:30 pm, I called about coffee. Finally delivered. The bell men are great and friendly and even remembered my name. The bartender and guys at pool were fun and attentive and knowledgeable. Again property is beautiful. Front desk friendly. Liz Fiore should have come out to speak with us or at least given us a courtesy call. No she did not move us. Had front desk offer us an upgrade for $40. And then changed it to $60. We are Diamond Members and disappointed with the level of service.
At El Conquistador you'll find a resort facility boasting 45-holes of golf, laid out in two 18-hole courses (both a short distance from the resort) and an onsite 9-hole course. Several attractive holes and features are contained in these desert-style layouts, which were originally designed by Greg Nash.
The restaurant.... it was the best! I can still taste that pasta dish I had. I wish I had gone back to speak to the chef and watch him cook... it was wonderful!
Not a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed for a Hilton Resort. The grounds are gorgeous. Wonderful outdoor space, walking trails, and pool area.
However, the rooms are very outdated and the restaurants are overpriced ($6 for kid's Apple juice) with limited selection. The carpet is old and fridged, and floors are not clean. Our room was not ready at 4pm when regular check in was, even after I confirmed with the hotel for an early check in. When we got to the 'just cleaned' room, it was very muggy and dinghy smelling, floor had muddy footprints, and the bathroom had Bobby pins and other things from prior guest.
Went to Hertz inside the resort to pick up vehicles. The Staff at resort was very nice. The area was very beautiful. I found sitting area designed for bird watching very unique.
Money pit. Designed to get you to spend more money. No microwave, no guest laundry. Rooms a country mile away. You can't use the carts without a bell hop.
2 weeks before Thanksgiving i called for information about having dinner since prior experience in this stablishment have been amazing. So, I made reservations.... We arrived on time and to my surprise the welcoming was cold and rude.. I said maybe they are upset by being here on Thanksgiving... It didn't feel like a holiday, no table cloth, not even sugar on the tables.... But all this can be overlooked, if the food is good.... right?? Hhhhaaaa Jack in the Box is better and with a lot better price tag!! Not even a year since I haven't been there and customer service deteriorate to a level of zero... I am extremely sad, Corona virus not only hit our bodies, it hits us in every aspect in our society! Totally unnecessary!
We booked 3 rooms for 3 nights for our family to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, we experienced phenomenal service! Jonathon Kimack was super friendly and helpful in every way possible! He even arranged for complimentary champagne and strawberries to be sent to our parents room for the special occasion. The next day we decided to do a morning desert walk organized by the hotel and the super nice lady who took us on the tour was extremely knowledgeable, we had a wonderful time with her. Finally, on the day we checked out, Venables Grenrock went above and beyond in helping us organize the billing for our 3 rooms. He was pleasant to talk to, cheerful, and he genuinely cared to make everything go as smooth as possible for us. I am so grateful we spent 3 days at this beautiful resort! From exceptional service at the pool by day, to the phenomenal service and food at the restaurant by night, our entire family had a fabulous time here.
Was at the Hilton for the Arizona Distance Classic Expo and race. I only saw the lobby and meeting rooms, but if those are any indication then the rest must be very nice indeed. The staff was also very curtious and helpful.
Isolated, inconsistent expensive restaurant service and you will have to PAY for internet access unless you are hhonors gold level or above. Seriously, who charges for wireless internet anymore?!
Great 3 day stop on way to Cali. Staff was best I have ever encountered. Every single person working their went above and beyond, every one was cheerful and peronable. Fantastic customer service. Food was great too. Rooms were quaint and clean. Beds are are comfortable as well.
Fabulous place except the bars don't open until 11 am for a Bloody Mary. Staff was awesome. Shout out to Tim our pool bartender and Matthew at Bells services.
Beware of getting ripped off! I booked this hotel on their website for a wedding along with a number of other guests. When I arrived we were unable to stay due to the wedding party not providing enough transportation to the venue. I spoke to the front office managers Gwen Raamat and Jon Kimack and was lead to believe if I canceled I would receive a credit or refund, so I decided to cancel. The following week I was told they cannot give me a refund because it's their policy. I was lied to and they charged me $300. They also even attempted to charge me a valet/resort fee even though I didnt stay there. Horrible customer service and lies from management. Do not stay here!!
this wonderful hotel sits outside the city limits and is a wonderful property. the resaurants are great. however it is off the beat and path, so if you don't mind driving pretty far to the local attractions, this place is for you.
Recently we attended a wedding that was held at Sunset Point at the Hilton El Conquistador, then stayed the night in the main hotel. I have normally had very good experiences at the Hilton, especially this location, but this time was different. Some bad things we experienced were as follows. The grass was very wet and muddy for the ceremony, although we were told they wouldn't water for at least 2 days beforehand to avoid this problem. Our room was very noisy, all through the night, even though we were in the middle, not by any doors or the ice machine or elevators. I don't know if the walls were just that thin or if things outside were just that loud. Either way, it was very bothersome and didn't make for a good night sleep or morning to sleep in. There were some good things about our stay, however. The staff at the reception was very nice, pleasant and attentive during dinner and dancing. The young gentleman at the valet was very nice and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, which somewhat made up for the noise. The rooms were also clean and had nice bathrooms with a vanity outside of the bathroom, which is perfect for getting ready while someone else is in the shower or using the toilet. Overall, even with the noise, it was still a pleasant stay. Next time, though, I think I will stick with the casitas, which are nice and quiet.
